Philly Restaurants That Closed During the Coronavirus Pandemic | Eater Philly
"I was surprised to see that the 26‑year‑old Old City fixture modeled after the 1773 original has closed; the historic watering hole, once frequented by figures like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, was known for hearty items such as a “Colonial turkey pot pie,” beers brewed from Founding Fathers’ recipes, and waitstaff in period garb, and proprietors said the loss of overseas tourism destroyed much of the business." - Rachel Vigoda
Beverly Hills 90210 Show Reboot Adds Two-Day Diner Pop-Up on Melrose - Eater LA
"Both City Tavern and Rush Street are doing charity events tonight to benefit the Tyler Skaggs Baseball Foundation. Skaggs, an Angels pitcher, died suddenly earlier this month. To honor him, both bars will be taking donations and pouring drinks during the Dodgers-Angels game." - Farley Elliott
A New Neighborhood Bar Will Replace City Tavern in Downtown | Eater Dallas
"Having relocated to 512 Elm Street, City Tavern has tapped Chef Roe DiLeo to develop a menu that will place a major emphasis on brunch; DiLeo says she won’t “reinvent the wheel,” which suggests there may be overlap between City Tavern’s offerings and those of its successor. The bar was also known for showcasing local musical acts, and some similarity between the two spots’ menus and atmospheres seems likely." - Alaena Hostetter
GMT Tavern Review - Greenwich Village - New York - The Infatuation
"GMT may seem like just another dark bar on Bleecker, but what sets this place apart is its large sidewalk seating area. Get one of the 30 beers on tap (which are $5 during Happy Hour), and in the rare instance when all the outdoor tables are taken, hang out at the bar inside." - Matt Tervooren
"After 12 years in its Downtown Dallas location, the popular bar is relocating to 1512 Elm Street inside the newly redeveloped Mid Elm Lofts, occupying just over 1,800 square feet. Owner Joshua Florence says the new long-term lease will ensure the venue remains part of the community for years to come, and it is expected to open at the Elm Street address on June 1. Regulars can expect the same live music and selection of local craft brews they’re used to; the annual chili competition hasn’t been confirmed but is likely to continue. Local press has reached out for details about whether the current location will close before the move." - Amy McCarthy

We stopped by for a quick drink and bite to eat. Had the loaded fries, which were amazing!!!!!!!
Also, our safe place after the events at NCA.
Service was amazing, price was surprisingly affordable for being in downtown Dallas. Atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Will definitely come back.

Worst place to eat in downtown Dallas! Me and my lady friends sat at a booth and experienced a ROACH crawling on our table and seat, they had already served us our food but when I showed the worker the video I took of the roach crawling in our booth he acted very nonchalant stuck his head and he didn't apologize or give a discount or nothing. What was the deal breaker for me is two of us order catfish on the menu the catfish was $12 but they charged us $18. This place have roaches and appears as if the owner and staff don't care because he sure acted like he didn't care that seeing the roaches spoiled our lunch so we got up and left. They could of at least comps our food for the inconvenience the experience was GROSS!!!!

Multiple people walked past us at the bar, made eye contact and didn’t even ask if we’ve been helped. It took almost 10 minutes to get service and keep in mind, there was only 2 other people at the bar that already had drinks. I was also served fish that was not done. The girl at the bar used her unwashed hands to sprinkle something on my food. I will never be back. Disgusting!

Best fish n chips I’ve had outside of Ireland. Thank you David and team for a wonderful experience. I look forward to our next visit downtown so I can eat here again. If you’re in the area check this place out!!

Classic Dallas dive bar with really good food, service and vibes. The grilled cheese on sourdough is spectacular. No skimping on CHEESE. The onion rings are fat and well done. And they have a nice kick to them, probably from blackened seasoning. We LOVE this bar.
