City Winery Boston absolutely deserves 5 stars. From the moment I walked in, I was thoroughly impressed by how welcoming, polished, and well-run the entire venue was. Special thanks to Kelsey Anderson who delivered world class service and was on top of every detail for our Wedding industry Event Master Class on January 6th, 2026 The space was spotless and beautifully maintained, the waitstaff was extremely personable and friendly, and the management team was attentive, proactive, and as previously stated, on top of every detail throughout the event. The food far exceeded expectations—what we anticipated would be “very good” turned out to be truly exquisite. City Winery Boston also offers a wide range of event spaces, from an intimate downstairs meeting room for about 20 guests to mid-size rooms for around 100 and an impressive concert hall for large-scale events. If you are planning any type of event in Boston, this venue is highly recommended—you will almost certainly leave just as impressed as we were. All around, a solid 5-star experience. Our team at Party Time Events Group will be back!

The Luther Relives show was incredible!!! This is a great, small venue. The wine is a bit pricey but food is reasonably priced and excellent! This is the 2nd show we’ve seen there and we will definitely be seeing more shows there! The chairs/tables are close together. I recommend seats closer to the stage since it is a dinner show. If you are in the back, there are meals being served in front of you.

I've been to three shows here and I have to say that it is not my favorite venue for listening to music because of the way that the room is set up. As others have noted, seats are close together and the tables are set up perpendicular to the stage so I always leave with a sore neck. But that's not the purpose of tonight's review. I want to talk about Joe. My wife and I came early and had dinner in the dining area. We started with the baked fig and goat cheese which was quite good, but the toasted baguettes were hard as a rock. We brought it to our service attention and the baguettes were replaced with some delicious pita bread. The rest of our meal was good. My wife enjoyed her Burger and I enjoyed my lemon pepper herb parmesan wings. When Joe, who I assume is the manager, heard of our problem immediately told us that he was going to comp the baked fig and goat cheese. Dayenu! He also offered us complimentary cocktails but as we do not drink we opted for after dinner coffee. Dayenu! He also offered us a complimentary dessert, but we were pretty satisfied and simply didn't have room for dessert although the offerings were tempting. I told Joe that the small problem with one of the dishes will be forgotten long before the extra lengths to which he went to make everything right. Thank you to the City Winery and to Joe for going above and beyond.

Sorry, meant to write to the CW in NYC. Maybe this will get to them. Sorry Boston. Won't let me post to NY site. El DeBarge (a total fan) but either never did a sound check or did a poor one. All he needed to do is sit at the piano and play. He had tapes backing him up but they didn't begin correctly or he couldn't hear it. We were his back up! We loved it when he just played and sang. When he got up to walk and sing - a lot was the track w/him adding to it or totally lip syncing! No bueno. Idk if he was under the weather (quite possibly). Who knows. Doors open at 3? Place was packed and we were waiting to get inside. I got there about 3:15-3:20. My server was great but the people sitting across from me never got her order. After initially asking her server (different from mine), he told her to wait that he was busy. All she wanted was Truffle Fries. Then she asked the mgr, nothing appeared. Asked again. Then she cancelled her order and got the check. They left before the show was over too! I've visited C.Winery NY many, many times and this was the worst organized and performed.

Attended a show here for the first time because Murray Hill was in town. Our server was excellent and seating was good, but the food was just okay. My flatbread was all right, but my friend did not enjoy her caesar salad at all. My biggest complaint is the $25 food/beverage minimum considering the quality and selection of the menu. Considering we couldn't dine elsewhere (the friend I attended with doesn't drink, so yeah, we had to dine here), I would expect better food. Fries, pizza, fish and chips, and chicken wings are not what I would expect at a winery. The only "tapas" aspect of the menu are the portion sizes. The menu needs a complete overhaul. I would only come back here for drinks and a show, not food. Great show from Murray, though!

The venue is nice and the food is good. The concert was excellent and the crowd was great. Im rating it a three because the seating is awful. They've used every available inch of space to jam people in. There was no room to walk, move or adjust your seat. I’m certain it was a fire hazard .

Good venue for concerts. The food was very good, we had a flatbread pizza and Greek salad. The mixed drinks were excellent.

We've been to the Boston City Winery several times over the last couple years, as our teenage kids performed in music bands. We also went to a tribute concert to Pink Floyd, by a band called Machine. In general, it's a well established venue with a restaurant and bar. It's pretty good overall but has a few significant downsides: The location downtown is hard to get to, wither it would take an hour by public transit, or you'd have to drive a car and pay over $30 to park in a nearby garage (and getting out of the garage after the show can take half an hour), or you take an Uber. There's no simple, easy or cheap to get there and back, unless you live downtown within walking distance. The tables and chair are pretty close and crowded, as they try to maximize the number of guests, but don't leave much room for standing and dancing. We could not enjoy good sound quality because the music volume was way too high, so we needed concert earplugs. Those are better than regular foam earplugs, but still they compromise the sound clarity. This is a problem in many music venues, they seem to think that very high volume is a good thing :-/ The waiters did not have make tags. Our waiter was too pushy with clearing plates before we finished eating, offering us to order more. He took payment long before the concert was over, and probably processed a high tip without asking us (we did not get to see his device screen or to get a printed bill so we don’t really know). The overall price was too high. We paid about $110 for two tickets to a mediocre cover band, plus about $60 for simple food (there's a minimum $25 per person), plus tax and tip, plus parking- we spent about $200 for two people. Respectfully, at that price we could have enjoyed a big concert of a real band at Xfinity Center in Mansfield. Everything considered- a pretty good place, but we would not go there again often.

Came here for a live event and it was a nice spot! Great room although the seating was very crowded. I got some Calabrian Chilli wings, they were excellent. Service was wonderful. Expect city prices.

SLOPPY BOYS ARE COMING TO BOSTON! That's all my husband needed to hear to want to go. It's their live podcast tour. Do I listen to their podcast? Only through the bathroom door as my husband plays it loudly in the shower. Do I like their music? YES! Would it be difficult to get a Sunday night babysitter? Definitely but worth trying because my husband doesn't ask for much. City Winery is a fancy establishment. We were immediately greeted by a hostess who waved us over to a group of employees waiting to seat people in the venue space. We were escorted to our purchases seats. Immediately my heart sank- we were going to be squished in like sardines! And we were. My suggestion, push the tables out a little bit. It was too tight. To the point where I was afraid to go to the bathroom which would disturb a group of people and was i going to trip over coats, purses and chairs? Another issue, we were in seats where we had to turn to see the stage over our shoulders. I am 42 years old with neck and back issues. If I could move my chair a little it would have helped but you can't. Don't like it. No Moscato. Went with a fruity drink of the bartenders choosing. Did taste the Sloppy Boys drink of the day, Ward 8. Pretty tasty and sweet. I had the burrata, my husband had the Calabrian wings. The Calabrian wings were cooked to perfection and the sauce... flavor burst for your taste buds. In the best possible way. The burrata- loved the pistachios in the mix and burrata has a tiny piece of my heart but the issue- I need at least 2 more pieces of crustini! Their balsalmic is extremely vinegary (too much.) One piece isn't enough. I found myself just eating chunks of burrata. Our server was super nice but as more people joined our sardine party it became difficult to talk to the waited since we were on the inside. Overall some good stuff is happening here but I thing it could be a more enjoyable experience with a few changes but thank you for hosting The Sloppy Boys!

I visited here again Thursday night to see Boney James and his band. The performance was outstanding. James is a real showman and displays all of his talents. The band members--rhythm and bass guitar, drummer, keyboardist--were incredible and performed some amazing solos. They had the place rockin'! The service experience was great, from ticket-checkers to servers. I've figured out how to get the best experience.... arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime to get food and drink orders in early. Also pick seats at the end of a long table so you can turn and have room to stretch your legs (without getting in the way of hardworking servers). My companion and I both had wine and a Margarita Pizza each, which was cooked to order (extra cheese, lightly cooked). The location of City Winery is a challenge. We've finally decided it's best to ride-share in, and even then it's a nightmare with downtown traffic, just not my nightmare. Area parking is hard to come by, especially if there is an event at nearby TD Garden. That said, I look forward to my next visit and scan the schedule routinely to see who is coming up that I'd like to see.

Went there tonight for dinner and a show. It's a great venue for married date night. Saw Jon foreman, great show. Food was mmmm fine. Staff was great. Waiting for entrees I see a rat run across the floor 15 feet in front of me. It ran down in front of the bar and disappeared. I reported it to the staff. I'll go back for a show. Never for food.

I've seen two shows there. Staff are professional and friendly. Some shows they serve dinner. Food was good. At this point I'd go to a show and have dinner there not know the artist

Service was excellent. Drinks were great! Food was good. We got sliders. I liked my husband said too much cheese. Truffle fries were excellent. Kale salad we liked as well.

Going to give them a couple of extra stars. Although their food is still mediocre, and their wines are less than mediocre, SUE FOLEY WAS EPIC! Go for the music, but go elsewhere to eat and drink.

Service from Jared was great. My cocktail non alcoholic was fine. The main concert venue that everyone says is cramped seating, well I'm fine. It's a bit tight I'm comfortable, 5"4, average build. My chair is on a diagonal so I'm not twisting my neck. Show was great! I'd come here again. Food I cannot comment on. There are so many mediocre reviews on the food I passed. I did eye some of the menu items being served. Not my thing.

I didn't love the wine, I thought it was just okay. However I do think this is a great place to see a show. There isnt a bad seat in the house and the staff is so so sweet. I had a great experience and would definitely return!

Walked through lovely looking restaurant to access music venue. Review is for the music venue only. Crowded seating but excellent acoustics and good service. Very pricey cocktails ($20 each??) Convenient parking at Gov Ctr (lots cheaper than Boston Garden Parking)

Do not ever give this business your credit card. They are the most deceptive company I have ever done business with and will never attend an event here again.

The service was great, but the wine selection was meh at best. For a winery, they have a limited number of reds and whites to choose from. The ambiance is nice but again it's about the wine selection for me.

Excellent venue and great ambience! The food was fast and hot and delicious!!! I got the hummus and lobster risotto. It was amazing! I should've ordered my food as soon as I got there because once the music of The HamilTones got going I was singing and dancing the entire time. An excellent evening out even rolling solo-dolo. I am looking forward to another show!!

I've been to a few different events at the Winery, my biggest complaint is the food. The menu is not very appetizing and overly pricey, and now they want you to make a $25. food and drink purchase MANDATORY. That's crazy.

We attended the American Aquarium concert, and the performance was outstanding! The drinks were enjoyable, and the food was satisfactory(just bar food, nothing crazy). However, my issue is regarding the seating arrangement. The tables were positioned sideways rather than facing the stage, which required me to keep my head turned throughout the entire concert since we were sitting with our backs to the stage. This was quite uncomfortable, especially considering how cramped the space was, leaving little room to adjust. While I understand the intent may be to accommodate more attendees, the experience would be greatly improved if the tables were oriented horizontally, with seating limited to the side facing the stage. Due to the discomfort I experienced, I would hesitate to return to this venue.

We went here for a Sheila E. Show and we loved it! We had a charcuterie board that was delicious! They have wines and mixed drinks as well. The service was really nice and the waitstaff were friendly and engaging! The place is beautiful with nice decor and wine themed lighting. They have a little pizza place in there too that looked good. The only downside is there is only one restroom in the place and it is downstairs, it has lots of stalls, it's just the only one. I really liked it here and would absolutely come again!

Shit service. 15 minutes to get a glass of wine Cramped seats . Expensive as hell. $27 for 5.5 oz of Chardonnay that tasted skunked. Very hot (no A/C???) One plus: :convenient from north shore.

I've now been here a couple times, each time with a small group of people looking for a spot to continue the good times we were having at brunch or another activity. I love to cozy up on the couches that they have in the front behind the hostess stand. That's technically not in anyone's serving area, but it's easy enough to go up to the bar and order any wine or charcuterie boards and they'll bring it right over. If you're like me and get a little analysis paralysis at the wine list, tell them what you're looking for and they will help you find the right wine. They are cheese and charcuterie boards are great, lots of variety and great for sharing. I can't speak too much on the food menu, because usually we're coming here after a meal, but if you're looking for somewhere to grab a glass of wine and a light snack, while you catch up with some friends, this is a great spot!

I ate a "Hot Honey Pizza" from City Winery Boston.... don't order this! It looks good as you're walking by but looks can be deceiving. The entire thing, dough included, was so flavorless! The sausage & pepperoni barely carried this thing! Food there is AWFUL! It's been on a rapid decline since before the pandemic...for years! I go here because they bring in good entertainment (5 stars) but the food isn't worth your money (1 star). Venue is over-crowded! Seating is tight & uncomfortable. Tables are tiny. Service is manic. I guess you can get a decent drink & a show, maybe even a quick meet & greet after the show, but that's it. And when did they start charging extra to meet the artists? **sigh** Everything is about money and not great experiences. The End. I do not recommend for dining. Eat elsewhere first!!

If you're going here because you are attending a show here JUST DON'T. Go elsewhere for food. I wished I'd read reviews here and on Google before coming here. Initially thought this was going to be super nice. Only reason I decided to eat here is because we were seeing a show and it gave an option to book a reservation for dinner. My mom and I were excited for a nice night out after work. The person who seated us was extremely nice and professional, welcoming. Was excited to take a seat and order dinner first. Was told options were: eating inside the venue for the show or eating outside at the bar or a table. We opted for eating outside at a table before the show started. The dining seating is very nice. High ceilings, comfortable to sit at. - Ordered the burrata - sold out - Ordered butternut squash soup. One came out cold and the other was ok temp wise. Tasted it and it had a seafood-like taste. Was surprised to find crab in it! There was also pieces of shell from the crab that got stuck in between my molars. - Ordered crispy chicken sandwich. Ice cold. Cheese on top was not even melted. Fries cold. Ordered Pad Thai and it was congealed noodles also cold. Told management and she was apologetic. We just wanted the food to be hot. We were also hungry and had no other place we could go to as we were seeing the show after, no real time to go somewhere else all together. Also mentioned the soups and was told there is crab in it- upon looking at the menu it was in small type at the bottom. Should be larger. I just saw butternut squash bisque and wouldn't have thought there'd be crab. The food came back out hot. No cheese on my sandwich now. By the time I saw the waiter and told him, he came back when I had 2 bites left to my sandwich. So didn't even end up eating the cheese. The second Pad Thai was hot but had no flavor. The meals were comped which was the right thing to do and we were thankful. I'm still hungry now. ------------------------------------- Fast forward to show time. Got into the venue which is a room off on the side (see photos) and it is nice enough but seats are close together. A host brought us to our seat. Only to find out they brought us to the wrong seats. So we ended up having to move after making friends with our "neighbors" and just ordering their White Flights Got to new correct seats. Another server took our order. We were under the impression the first person we gave our order to completes the order. Nope. So reordered with this woman and she told us the white flights were sold out!! Aahhhh SO, we didn't order anything for wine. Then decided to just get tea and dessert. Out of the rum cake. So ordered the chocolate buddino.... And my mom got the maple bacon creme brûlée. Talked to our "new neighbors" they told us they were out of beet salad, beer, etc... apparently there was an event last night and cleared the place out. Unacceptable if you have an event the following night and you're out of tons of stuff. I understand there are supply chain issues, but really?! What a night so far. Have never experienced anything like this. I just hope the show is good!!!! Sheesh. Updated to add: show was excellent! Would see Jim Brickman again just hopefully not at this location. We ordered earl grey tea and our desserts. The desserts were the highlight of the meal both really good. However, the earl grey tea was not early grey- came out and it was English breakfast tea. Also we were given cream instead of milk to use.

Was very disappointed with my first visit to the City Winery. Upon sitting, I noticed the tables are tiny,, barely fit our party of 4, menu choices were boring, and probably the worst pizza I have had in along time. The wine selections for a "winery" were bland at best. Finally, our waiter was new and not very eager. We had to get up a few times during the show to chase him down. Very expensive for a mediocre experience.

Loved the entire experience! The food and apps were amazing, the entertainment was on point. Musiq Soulchild - yes!!!!! The only thing that was kind of disappointing was the table were so close, the couple next to us were annoying, loud and obnoxious. It was hard to move around and you were literally in people's personal space moving around. The poor waitress. We had the lamb balls - which were good, the margarita pizza was heaven, the honey pizza another good one and the cheese and meat plate was perfect. I wish they had sweeter white wine but I forgot about my wine when the waitress bought me a spicey margarita - OH MY GOODNESS!!!

I went to an event there tonight. I cannot eat gluten due to a medical condition. The appetizers were not gluten free. I asked the server to please bring me a few hamburger sliders without the buns and explained why. He acknowledged what I said and clarified the request. He never fulfilled the request. As a result I did not eat. Most restaurants I go to are sensitive to the issue, and almost always ask if there is a medical condition. As a result, this is not a place I could recommend nor would ever return to.

My wife and I have gone to two events, Andrew Yang in October 2021 and Eugene Mirman and friends comedy show Dec 2022. Both shows were in the Main Venue, with seating for 200 at long narrow tables. It feels pretty intimate, you can easily meet your neighbors across the table. Most seats are close enough to the stage. I wouldn't order dinner there just because you get served in the middle of the show and you're eating in view of people who are trying to watch the entertainment. And you're whispering loudly to the waiter, etc, it's all just sort of awkward. Eat before you go, maybe get a drink there. Great venue and lots of variety, a different show every night if the week!

Saw G.Love. Seen him many times. The set up of the venue was conducive for a sit down show. We went to party. No space to dance or move. Packed like sardines. Elbow to elbow with strangers and no way out. Food was good. Beer was good. The setlist was more bluesy and jazzy than party which was the right vibe for the venue. Just not the night out we were expecting.

The mouse...Very disappointing experience with a mouse in the main room. Even though food was ok, wine quality in the samples was not good and eating while you see mice around was very disgusting. The manager Mia told us "they appear once in a while..." as if it was "normal" to see that happening, they didn't considered the incident and charged us with everything, at least we paid through inKind and the app applied a discount because of the amount $$ we ordered. You would expect places like this to have impecable hygiene practices and not to ruin the entire experience with mice, we left the place with nausea...

Unfortunately I had high expectations for this place. They are extremely unorganized. It takes 20 min to half hour for a waitress to come. Once they come it's more than 30 minutes for the drinks. Then to find out that we were seated at the wrong seats. We also ordered 3 pizzas and a salad along with drinks, everything came separately with no napkins or silverware. We asked for just napkins and never received. BEST BELIEVE THE CHECK CAME ON TIME!!!! A lot of work and training needed. Call me for help

Great food, service and an intimate music venue. Tip number 1: get there 30 minutes ahead of the show. Order a drink and get in line. The venues are small, so an early seat can get you in the first couple rows. Good food: going to a music place for dinner can be a coin toss, but the food was pretty good. My gluten-free wife ordered a burger and the offered both gluten free rolls and a lettuce wrap. I ordered a 1/2 chicken and as a dark meat lover was happy with the lower part. I took a bite of the breast meat and it was surprisingly moist. Most places overcook it but I enjoyed both portions. Drinks are a bit pricey, but what do you expect for a place where your drinks are served to you while you eat, drink and enjoy great music.

I went to see a show at The Haymarket Lounge. This review is specifically for The Haymarket Lounge venue within City Winery, and not the overall space. The show itself was 5 stars, I loved it!! Thank you for bringing the incredible Crystal Bowersox to town. The wine and dessert we ordered were also delicious. The main reason I am marking the venue down is that the air was unsafe. 1) I carry a pocket CO2 monitor around with me to check how well ventilated a place is. Outside air is about 400. A lightly populated room is maybe 800. A busy venue with good ventilation in place might be around 1600. Last night, the CO2 level was 4100. Looking at the graph of CO2 through the night, it climbed and climbed with no periodic drops -- meaning, I don't think they had any HVAC running in the room. We were all breathing each other's air for 3 hours. I know we're all over it when it comes to COVID and other illnesses, but there's a difference between living with it and taking appropriate precautions, and throwing caution to the wind. Even if there's not a good HVAC system in the room itself, there are beefy portable air filters that could be stuck in the corner of the room that would do the job nicely. 2) Two of the servers were coughing throughout the performance. The venue shouldn't have people working while sick for various reasons -- as a patron, I don't want someone to be coughing if they're handling my food and drink. I also don't want to hear coughing during quieter parts of the show; it takes away from the experience. And of course from a labor perspective, I don't want people forced to work while sick and for their coworkers to potentially get sick too. They ought to have paid sick leave and backup staffing. I don't know if it's a norm for servers, but it should be. So, I want to love the space. I hope to come back in the future and see that these issues are fixed and write a new review. I expect to come back in the future either way, if you continue bringing in wonderful musicians. But please, please, address the air quality issues so that we can all be a little safer. Thank you.

Phenomenal find. Great ambiance and great friendly service. Food on point for flavor..

City Winery has a lot of potential right in the middle of downtown Boston between two major spots by the Garden and Faneuil Hall area. Because of this, parking is extremely limited and expensive. I will start with the wine which was absolutely excellent. I had a Cabernet Sauvignon the was nice and strong, dark red, full body and typical flavor expected of this vintage. I also liked their menu, which made it pretty easy to choose the wine, based on what you were eating, so that you could pair them better, I felt that this was a great idea on their part. I came to the City Winery for an event and had the Halibut which was good, but the side dishes were a bit cold. I am not sure if it was due to the event, that maybe the meals were prepared ahead of time, but overall the food was not bad, just a bit cold. The charcuterie at the start of the event was good too, nothing great or fancy, but I do feel that I would definitely come back, because the place looks amazing, very well decorated and has a very fun and romantic feel at the same time. Service could have been a little bit better, but it is hard to measure this piece, when you are at an event. All in all, I am definitely going to give this place another try when I am in the area. The place has a ton of potential and based on other reviews around the concert venue and other activities, it seems like a fun place.

Bought tickets for the June 2024 Pride Brunch event that turned out to not be a brunch event at all. Let's start with the City Winery website: the online seating chart is a bit deceptive as the tables are a lot closer to the stage than it appears, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but just be aware. For Pride Brunch, featuring The Femmes (they were great!) it was never clear on the website whether the cost of the ticket actually included brunch. Conspicuously hidden under the section with information about the band was a disclaimer that brunch is now buffet style and $35. So I assumed that brunch would be an additional $35. At the event, I was pleasantly surprised when a staff member told me the event ticket included brunch. But that turned out to be inaccurate. There was also no buffet brunch. We were given a regular menu of overpriced starters and lunch/dinner items. Others were also complaining about this. All the server could do was apologize when we asked about brunch. As for my order: the coffee was cold and the burrata item was bland. The mimosa and Aperol spritz were good, though a bit too much ice in the Aperol spritz. Three stars for the nice event space and for booking queer talent. But the business practice of advertising a "Pride Brunch" with no brunch at all and the lack of clarity on their website about what the price of admission includes, is very deceptive and almost deliberate. Staff giving inaccurate information is also pretty disappointing.

Both the staff and atmosphere are great! My server Kylie was so kind and helpful the entire time and really made our experience so memorable! however i do feel that it is a bit cramped and wish there was more space to dine and enjoy the show.

City Winery in the heart of Boston is a fabulous venue for live music. Both the main lounge and the Haymarket lounge have a great atmosphere and have great artists, but I personally prefer Haymarket simply because it's more intimate. Door open two hours prior to the concert and you can order dinner while you wait for the show and also have your favorite wine waiting at your reserved table ( all tickets are for reserved seats which is great)! The beat and goat cheese salad is delicious and their pizzas and burgers are also good! HUGE SHOUT OUT to JARED our server who truly made the entire experience so enjoyable. He was engaging, attentive and truly seems to care about his customers! For a fun evening of music and food, City Winery doesn't disappoint.

Ok my the only thing I would change is - less tables in the eating venue. It's too cramping to enjoy if sitting next to a stranger. No room on tables for all the AMAZING FOOD to go on! The wine was ok - I was surprised the waiter kept serving my red cab cold and couldn't find a room temperature bottle. She said it was cuz it's from tap and then I bought a $85 bottle and it was cold Anywho - we love the food(don't get the pizzas tho), good music and perfect location. A little less tables would go a long way ! We'll be back ‍

Came here for a comedy show and it is very intimate which I like. Food is subpar but I stuck with the American Classic, which would be pizza so I wouldn't be disappointed, just in case. Very clean decor and spacious for audience and performer. I thought the sound was really clean, clear, and crisp as well. I was lucky enough to find parking around the area but I know that can be challenging.

Great event space. Be sure to take a tour. The winemaker gave an excellent tour and even allowed participants to taste the grapes before they were made into wine. This was the absolute highlight of the tour. Great live music. The harvest event was excellent. Rose all day at City Winery!

Came here for a live music show on a Tuesday late night and great time! Street Parking in this area can be reasonable if there are no other major events going on at the time. City Winery is spacious, well thought out designed. I love the decor and staircase leading downstairs. If you're into Instagram photo shoots, this is the spot for you. I liked their process of checking in, you don't have to find your ticket online. If you purchase a ticket online just say your name at the door and you're good to go. The event space is made up of rows of tables. I purchased a seat in the back and sat with a few people I didn't know. The table was fairly narrow. I ended up ordering the Duck Tacos which happen to be Gluten free and a non alcoholic beer. Both were tasty and filling, nothing to write home about though. The non alcoholic beer definitely made me feel like i was drinking the real thing because I naturally took my time with it. The show worked, but I did feel like the speakers/sound system was too loud and bassy so it was harder to hear the singer. Overall my experience was good. I wasn't blown away by anything, except for maybe the decor. It's a very nice venue. Would come back for sure!

We only had a option to sit at the bar and couldn't really figure out why they couldn't serve the tables. Anyway we convicted them to move us from the bar to a table after we paid and that took some convincing. The server at the bar messed up our order. Food was overpriced in my opinion. Wine was fairly priced. Bathrooms were nasty. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I wish I could give zero stars to the venue and waiting, staff... ***Music soul child performance amazing*** Back to the venue- stop trying to serve dinner and drinks . Stick with appetizers and beverages . I arrived at City Winery at 6:40 pm. I waited for until 7:00 pm before I asked a random waitress if she was my server for table 30. She said no, and she'll let my waiter know we requested him. He finally showed up at 7:13 pm. I ordered two drinks and told him to put in 2 more drinks 10 minutes after the 1st order. I also ordered our dinner ... we were starving and ready to eat. The show ended at 8:11 pm.. noooooooooooooo food or my 2nd drinks. The waiter was so discombobulated and confused. I'm all set with this place.

Service was awesome, menu is so fun! Definitely a fun spot to try in Boston. We had a blast with the wine tasting and matching it with the right food was super cool with the menu.

Food was pretty good - better than expected! The ambience was really nice and service was excellent. We did go on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was fairly empty, which could've impacted the fast service we received. I can't comment on the concert venue because we solely went for dinner. My favorite item was the pizza - really light and very tasty

Went to see the secret sisters with my sister and had an AMAZING time!! Seating was a bit cramped but it was a sold out concert. The waiters/waitresses did a wonderful job navigating around getting everyone what they needed. I ordered a flight of wine and it came out pretty quickly. Our waiter always made sure to check in on us to see if we needed anything. The food smelled absolutely amazing but we had food waiting at our hotel for us so we skipped out this time. The vibe, the people, everything was incredible. And the opening act was just as good as the secret sisters! Will definitely be returning :)

1. Dinner last night- food wad good, server Erwin was very attentive, tech trouble his handheld would not read credit cards , not just ours. Received receipt this am, tried to leave feedback, but it was not accepted b/c "you already left feedback or too much time has passed " REALLY, what is going here??? 2. This is the second show where the sound has been really awful, .... like high school show bad. Show was interrupted, way too much reverb, intern unable to correct it.

Me and my boyfriend came here for the Musiq concert. There is great sound and a really intimate space, which was nice. The venue is also decorated well inside and outside of the concert space. The concert space is pretty tight, and it's almost impossible to eat a meal comfortably at your table, especially because it's a shared table. It sounds like the space is typically understaffed for concerts. We read reviews and arrived 30 min early to order and our server passed us multiple times until my boyfriend had to go get her and bring her to the table 40 minutes after we sat down. It was hard to find someone to even pay our bill at the end. The wine flight was good. Overall, I may attend another concert here, but I would never expect to eat and I would only purchase an end table so that I can more easily flag down a server.

First time at this venue and for a live music show featuring Grace Kelly. Although we walked from the Financial District, our friends were able to find ample street parking nearby, which obviously depends on the day of the week. Inside, the atmosphere is very ambient and relaxing and once led into the area of the concert, it was definitely quite spacious but the seating at the tables could have a bit more elbow room. While this review is specifically for the concert, atmosphere and service experience, we chatted up with another couple who mentioned the food could be a hit and miss so it depends what's available on their menu and what you order. For drinks, we ordered the Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which were consistent and had their typically robust well-rounded flavor profile. For service, it seemed as though the staff were a bit busy so we understood the bit of delay but they were attentive nevertheless. If you're looking for a place to chill and relax with a glass of wine or would like to check out a performance, City Winery is definitely an option worth considering!

Visiting from L.A., brought my Boston cousins to see Sandra Bernhard. We arrived early, seated immediately, had a great server and the food and drink were great! It's a big room and sitting close to the stage should be a priority for a performance like Sandra's. Hope there's a City Winery in the SoCal future.

Need to have the lyrics of the song on the TV so views can sing along. Food has great selection and desserts is the best part.
