Where to Eat at Rockefeller Center

"This year-round, outdoor wine garden features heated domes for the holidays with a view of the tree. Wines are available on tap along with Montauk Brewing Co. brews and charcuterie, cheese plates, and hummus for snacking. Those domes can be reserved, too." - Eater Staff

If you’re coming to this place then you’re absolutely coming for the experience. During the holiday they open the igloos and it was an enjoyable experience. There is this place and another rooftop bars that are the only to do this in Manhattan. This place was very accommodating, and we were able to get a reservation two days before. We got lucky because the reservations book up pretty fast. There is a minimum of $250 in food and beverage, for up to five guests and they charge you additional for each guest. The price wasn’t so bad compared to the other location in Manhattan which I believe is up to $80 per person. Reservations are only for a 90-minute seating. The staff was attentive and helpful, and they allowed us to sit some additional time since the reservation after us had canceled which was kind of them. Once again, you’re really coming to this place for the experience, the coziness and the views of beautiful Rockefeller Center during the winter.

**Update**: I wanted to update my prior negative review of City Winery. My main issue was having trouble finding the pop-up location (which I now know is located across from the Jewel Hotel). Shortly after posting my review I was contacted by the City Winery team who apologized and we’re very concerned about my experience. They coordinated with my wife to find time for us to visit and we had an enjoyable experience the following weekend! The tents were very warm and the view of the Rockefeller tree was great. They took great care of us and the service was amazing, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the charcuterie board and everything tasted great and paired well with the wine. As for the wine, we tried the Rose, Riesling, and Cava and enjoyed all three of them. This was the experience we were hoping for initially and I have to say they delivered. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fun Christmas-y outing in NYC

The pop up bar is actually across Rockefeller Plaza just north of the tree and ice skating rink. Great way to get out of the crowds while taking in the Christmas sprit and view of the tree and have a drink. They offer a few wines, beer, some snacks. Look around for seating because some is tucked away in corners like these under the umbrellas. The winter domes (clear plastic heated seating) can be privately booked online at Resy for $250 food/beverage minimum for 5 people over 90 minutes. There was one dome that was open to the public when we were there but it was at capacity so I didn’t get to go inside.

Fun pop-up right at Rockefeller, outdoor only (some closed up igloos). Spacing available, have sanitizer too. Menu includes wine on tap, some snacks. Open until 8 pm. Look out for the food truck across American Girl store off 51st
