What can I say... I am ALWAYS here! Sundays are also for planning out my lunch for the week. They have recently added more prepared food vendors to the mix of the organic farmers. Grab a tamale while you're here, they are tasty, and the fruit juices for ailments are another of my go-tos. I love #farmersmarket @frescopastala has the best Pasta, Butter, Sauces, and Italian Cheese! You can never go wrong here. Pluots, Saturn Peaches, and Reed Avocados are in season. Get them while they’re still available and TRUST ME, grocery store produce and Farmer’s Markets are not alike, the taste difference is eye-opening! I also discovered that my favorite meat vendor Sage Mountain Farm, has Pastured Cerveza Beef 🤯, so I picked up their Carne Asada. I didn’t grab flowers this time around, but those #dahlias are popping! Respectfully Reviewed.

Google
A great place to find fresh produce that will taste better than your local grocer. Hats with most farmers markets the prices are higher than the store. But you will also find varieties you cannot get in the store.

Google
Generally speaking, it's a nice farmers market and the flower booths here have great selections of flowers. I question the produce at all the booths because the strawberries and other crops all look identical like they all get their produce from the same place.

Google
Went to Claremont farmers market and was pleasantly surprised by the number of vendors. I bought bread that was delicious and some veggies that were very fresh. Many stores in downtown Claremont were open and enjoyed browsing. There are many artists who also sell their wares such as soap, clothing, jewelry, wall decor and photography. It is a very nice farmers Market.

Google
Friendly vendors selling their goods of flowers 🌺🌹, fresh food, crafts and jewelry. Lovely venue for an outside stroll and shopping 🛍️. Customers were also friendly and chatty. A very pleasant morning activity.

Google
A cute farmers market with a nice selection of vendors. I walked up and down several of times to see what makes this one different from others, and there are a few local charities and vendors that makes it more personal and "Claremont". Over all a nice Farmers market.

Google
Sundays are a joyous day for my wife and I this time of year, most certainly. Great farm products available directly from the growers and a wonderful atmosphere, including live music and unusual great California weather.

Google
I have been to this farmers market a few times and its lovely! It's not huge but you can certainly find fresh produce/herbs, honey, flowers and a few handmade products. Be aware (non service) dogs are only allowed on the sidewalk which can make it hard to shop around. Overall, it's a cute farmers market in a great area that you can walk around in after the market closes.

Yelp
Great place to shop on sundays. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Very good bakery items. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant
google avatar

Lissa L.

Yelp
Such a great array of vendors (mostly produce). They close down a few streets to let pedestrians mill about. I love the stand that sells flavored kefir and the one that sells beignets. It's a good place to get your steps in and maybe a bunch of oranges.

Yelp
Nice market in a cool area, bought Maitake mushroom tincture from a vendor named Nature's Grow, I've never seen anyone sell this type of mushroom nor have I ever tried it, so I had to try. Also bought an oversized Avocado for $6, will update in the taste. Lots of local farmers, didn't see much certified organic though. Sad to say no sourdough vendor at this place, but overall still worth a trip to come back to, especially because there's also plenty of specialty shops I can visit around the area in addition to restaurant, bakery, and cafes. Will definitely comeback to Claremont Village!

Yelp
Cute local farmers market! There's plenty of space to walk around without it feeling too crowded. Everyone we encountered was so friendly. They sell a wide variety of things such as fresh fruits and veggies, artisan breads, local honey, cheese, flowers, and so much more. It's located in the Claremont Village so there are a ton of restaurants and shops all around. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Claremont Farmers & Artisans Market is always vibrant, busy and filled with many things for everyone. From produce of organic farms, to localy grown and made spices, dairy or bakeries and plants. To flowers and art or dresses and clothing, books and uniquely designed gifts and soap or candles. This is truly a complete, nutritious and fun filled weekend market. Held every Sunday, right near Old Town Claremont, make it a morning event. Come down and get some breakfasts or have a nice morning stroll for shopping and relaxing under the cool shade of trees. There is music, a small park near by and wonderful people from all walks of life. One thing to note: don't bring your dogs or animlas, since they are not allowed per the Health & Safety Code, unless they are an official service animal. Be respectful and don't violate this as you will get a citation.

Yelp
got the prettiest sunflowers here for only $7! they also have nice food/coffee options. The vendors are super sweet with reasonable pricing and it's a chill vibe for a Sunday morning.

Yelp
Always a nice selection of produce and other goods, such as plants, fresh cut flowers, breads, tamales, coffee, cheeses, spices and a handful of hand made artisan goods. Market is decent sized and in the beautiful Claremont village. One of my regular stops

Yelp
3/24/24 Finally made it to this farmers' market! Today is chill, sunny & beautiful-perfect to check out another potential market to frequent. This whole market is amazing, the crowd reminds me of the farmers market in Hollywood & a bit of the scenic Larchmont Village/district in LA. It feels like a boutique. It's fairly large, about 2 long blocks worth of vendors. If you ever take the Metrolink, this is the stop at Claremont. On one corner there's the Claremont post office and the other end (where the crafts & clothing vendors are) is the restaurant Bardot. Of course, plenty of artisan vendors from organic grass fed meats, cheeses, mushrooms, fruits & vegetables locally sourced (mostly Riverside county, San Luis Obispo), honey, bread from Old Town (absolute fave), homemade pastas & sauces, houseplants, fresh flowers, cooked foods like hot tamales and many more. It could be a family outing type of venue but so far I've not seen tables or chairs to enjoy your goodies but there plenty of places around Claremont that are within walking distance. There are porta potties & hand washing stations for this market. This place is definitely worth a stop & checking out. Unfortunately I did not see any cherimoya vendors but we're heading to Alhambra fmr mkt for this fruit! By the way, parking-wise, there's free street parking available and you may certainly utilize the parking at the train station. It's definitely a neat treat because this market has great curb appeal, very organized & it's altogether picturesque.

Yelp
I love this Farmer's Market. I used to come often during college. They moved it over a couple blocks from where I remember it being. They have regular produce, organic produce, flowers, and artisan goods. It's usually busy in the mornings around opening. I love getting the flower bunches. During my last visit, I purchased seasonings, French Kefir, shampoo bar, Chevre, goat cheese, and organic trawberries. The seasonings are great. I used them for veggies and meats. The French Kefir is dangerous. I need to serve myself on a plate, or else I'll finish the 8 oz. container. The shampoo bar is best for dry hair. It left my hair a bit oily. The chevre was perfect for pita wraps and salads. The strawberries were sweet and juicy. Most vendors prefer cash but do accept cards. Parking is easy to find across the end of the Farmer's Market. The market is perfect for a short family outing. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Most of the vendors have deals for their product bundles.

Yelp
Great small local farmers market, there could be more food options but it's nice to visit

Yelp
This Farmers Market was a lot of fun! The town is small, so parking can be tricky, but there are a lot of neat stalls with things like; fresh local honey, fruits and veggies, candles, pottery, chimes, snacks, flowers and plants...all so nice! Not only is the walk-through style of two separate sections worth it, but there are countless restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops in walking vicinity, so make it an outing! I enjoyed it with my son and granddaughter...oh, and there was even live music!
google avatar

Julia M.

Yelp
I finally made my way over to the Farmer's Market. It is quite small. I didn't see one organic farmer so I didn't buy any produce. The two guys at the bread table ignored me but called out over my head to the crowd to come over and buy bread so I decided not to buy from them. I had heard there was a candle vendor there normally but they weren't there that day.
google avatar

Niki W.

Yelp
This is a great farmers market! Nice and organized, spacious and walkable, lots of great produce selection. They had a wide variety of fruits, veggies, artisanal goods, and herbs. I feel like I could get all my groceries for the week here. They had trash cans set up everywhere so everything was kept neat, and theres a public restroom and portable restrooms throughout the area. Glad we could come this morning :)

Yelp
This Sunday morning farmer's market is easily favorite! It's not that close to me and it's small to medium size, but variety, quality and selection of vendors is outstanding. I always find what I'm looking for and more here. The setting in downtown Claremont is ideal as there is tons of parking at the nearby packing house.
google avatar

Angela P.

Yelp
Was at packing house when I overheard someone mention this farmers market. Walked over and had a blast checking out all the stands. There's an assortment of food, produce, entertainment, decorations, etc. Everyone is super friendly. I'll definitely come again.

Yelp
Always a great experience. Reasonable prices and well done. Prints are always fun and beautiful.

Yelp
I think this was my first farmers market I have ever visited in San Bernardino county. The market was founded in 1996 and no pets are allowed. [Hours]: Sunday from 8 AM to 1 PM [Parking]: Street parking only, but there are plenty of available spots to park in Downtown Claremont. [Amenities & vendors]: About 50 vendors with mostly fruit/vegetable booths and about 20% of them are bouquet vendors & local artists. The restrooms are located right next to the Claremont City Council, but they are exactly clean (same level of cleanness as restrooms at public parks). There aren't any food vendors as there are plenty of restaurants here (e.g. Bardot, Union On Yale, Claremont Village Eatery) in this part of the town. It was also nice to have farmers market opened on a tree-lined street with shades. Overall this is a pretty solid medium-size farmers market that's just as good as most of typical farmers markets in West LA (excluding 3 ~ 4 top notch farmers markets such as Beverly Hill, Mar Vista, and Brentwood Village).
google avatar

Judy T.

Yelp
I'm rarely in this part of town but was pleasantly surprised by how cute it is and green! I loved the trees around the farmers market and it's a good size spanning 2 full blocks and good produce. There were 2 egg vendors and lots of vegetables and fruit. The classic hummus vendor was there as well. We tried a juice stand that was delicious. Half of the 2nd block were artists with nice handmade items like bags and soap. Around the corner there was also a small alley way with more artisans. I got a 3D printed dragon made of biodegradable plastic which was cool and there were candles in pretty cups as well. Lots of things to look at and buy!

Christina R.

Yelp
It's a small farmers market but they have a variety of options, particularly if you're looking for clothing or jewelry. Also it's always nice to be in Claremont. The trees add a much needed shade during these hot summer months that allow you to calmly check out each stand. Would recommend.

Yelp
This is a wonderful Farmer's Market! There are quite a few vendors with some excellent and worthwhile products! The micro greens from Earth Made Greens, and the fresh made Apple Cinnamon Raisin bread from Old Town Bakery were all a serious hit for my husband and I! We can't wait to return as this market is located in the cutest area, with lots of shops and restaurants. It's a true treat!

Yelp
My favorite farmer's market conveniently located in probably my favorite city in all of the United States of America. After Sunday church service at United Church of Claremont I often find myself strolling the Claremont Farmers Market. My bag usually ends up filled with fruits like gooseberries and blueberries, cat grass, farm fresh eggs, artisan yogurt, spices, and sometimes bread. The weather is usually lovely as it typically is in Southern California. The tree line streets provide shade; the amicable people spark joy. And the dozens upon dozens of restaurants and other businesses that are open add increased ambience. If you desire all the things that are farmers market can bring you, centrally located in Claremont California, this is the farmers market for you. And just be aware that with the banks just two blocks away, you are prone to spend more money than you bargain for... It's kind of like Target in that way.

Careena B.

Yelp
One of the better farmers markets I've been too. It's a decent size with the usual vendors you'd find at a farmers market, but I love how this one is in the middle of different shops/restaurants making it even better. The prices were just as I expected & parking wasn't bad. I would definitely come back soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Sunday Funday! Love visiting the Claremont farmers market for some delicious organic vegetables. They have an awesome selection of local farmers that are reasonably priced. speciality vendors include dates, almonds, goat cheese, hummus, old town baking co., dog apparel, art, micro greens etc. open rain or shine easy and free parking 8am-1pm only missing a extra star because it would be nice to see more food vendors, especially sweet treats :) otherwise totally an awesome event. see you there! ps. no dogs/pets allowed :) if you want a good pick me up before hitting up the veggie tents, grab a quick coffee at nosy neighbors at the top or Harvard, where the farmer market starts.
google avatar

Tiffany G.

Yelp
There were plenty of stands with a variety Of things to choose from! The flowers And plants were all Very pretty! So many veggies and fruits that look fresh and good! Deff looking forward to coming back next Sunday Morning!

Yelp
Set amidst the tree-lined, beautiful low-slung architecture of Claremont Village, this market manages to be one of the more mournful experiences as far as farmer's markets go. How is that possible? Well, it comports with a town run in general by some golden folks who appear to be clinging to the last vestiges of American racial apartheid from a few short decades ago. Claremont is notoriously anglo-dominated and prides itself on its exclusivity, which in the recent past was racially demarcated. The underlying narrative of white supremacy palpably stifles creative and inclusive impulses that would make a market "flow" better. How can you be "exclusionary" and run a purportedly people's farmer's market? The vibe is certainly strange. No music to induce people to linger and mingle (absolutely no temptation for miscegenation!) If there's a busker, they are required to stand a full block away. Especially when the musicians seem to be non-white people. There's NO TAMALES offered for sale, which is rather unusual in LA County. There's a subdued air, marked only by the occasional active baby boomer sporting lycra biking shorts yelling obtrusively to draw attention to themselves and talking about folk festivals from the 1970s. The vendors are predictable and limited, among them very few certified organic growers. The prices are jacked up and outrageous. Vendors here know to feed the "exclusive" vibe that is sought here, by charging higher prices. Being in a citrus growing region, there are multiple vendors with huge bags of oranges. One guy offers Greek hummus/spreads/pita bread. My favorite vendor here is the guy with the dates who comes in from a date ranch. There's also fresh fish and sustainably grown meat, except he doesn't offer bison. So it's very limited and the vendors know they are catering to a crowd that prefers to keep themselves aloof, on the affectation of their superiority, from the rest of the County. Go check it out and see if I'm wrong.

Alicia N.

Yelp
Medium-sized farmers market. Prices are really reasonable, and you get to support local farmers. My haul this visit: huge okra, vine-ripened and green tomatoes, corn, zucchini, eggs, chicken breast, sprouts, purple black-eyed peas, mutabal, garlic spread, and tabouleh. Most vendors take card, but some do accept cash only. Parking is mostly street and busy, but people are often coming and going so it shouldn't take too long to find something.
google avatar

Tom H.

Yelp
Wonderful community street farmers market and good place to buy produce and hummus. Been going here for a while.
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
Great farmers market, the food is fresh and the honey is yummy!

Jeff W.

Yelp
Pleasant, friendly, moderately well stocked, with some great music! A good way to get the week started. Try the grapes in the southern half of the market...they are very tasty.
google avatar

Tina S.

Yelp
Real farmers selling their products here, I know because my best friend's parents (who own a farm) are here every Sunday personally selling their produce. You have everything from specialty soaps, books (for the Prison Book program), herbs, avocados, flowers, cheeses, pitas and hummus, succulents, fresh eggs and plenty of fruits and veggies- organic and non organic. It is located on one block closed off to vehicles every Sunday, rain or shine. Lot of the fruits and veggies have cut up samples to try. We love the persimmons. So delicious. Most of the vendors have credit card machines but I bring cash. It's easier for places like this.
google avatar

Tawny V.

Yelp
This isn't the biggest farmers market but it does its business. their are a variety of places let's hope I remember.. soap books tapenade hummus stone fruit berry's goat cheese honey breads flowers plants, succulents vegetables sprout vendor almonds also the nice thing about this place is its located at the village near the colleges so a person can get some coffee, eat some lunch and do some boutique shops
google avatar

Travis W.

Yelp
Such a quaint and charming collection of vendors of produce, fruit, baked goods, flowers and doohickeys. It was a pleasure to come here and walk thru with a bag of whatever it is you decided to buy to get that farm fresh feeling. As with any farmer's market vendor make sure to check the quality of what you're getting before you leave since their return policy isn't so forgiving.
google avatar

Yvette S.

Yelp
This place was great! There was so much variety. We got so many fruits and veggies. Everyone there was so nice. All the produce looked so fresh and delicious. The vendors we very informative and helpful. I can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
My husband and I usually buy produce at the Farmers Market in Rancho Cucamonga, but decided to check out the one in Claremont which is every Sunday (rain or shine) from 8AM to 1PM. You will see them on Second St between Indian Hill Blvd and Yale Ave. At 8AM on a Sunday, there's plenty of parking so that should not be a problem. There's a Wells Fargo next to where the stalls are set up so it's convenient if you need cash. You'll find folks selling certified organic produce, specialty arts & crafts, flowers and plants. This was our second time checking out the market. We've bought spices (spice rubs), bread, fruit and vegetables. The same hummus vendor I usually see at the RC Farmer's Market is also at the Claremont one. They have beautiful flower bouquets for great prices so if you ever had to buy a bouquet of flowers, stop by the Farmers Market on a Sunday morning instead of going to the flower shop or supermarket. There are also a lot of people walking their dogs, but I don't think they are allowed in the main walkway. They were mainly walking on the sidewalks behind the canopies. If you happen to be eating breakfast at one of the cafes, it's also a great place to walk through and you may find something you like. I'm not giving a full 5 star review because I noticed some of the vendors are unorganized. We were buying produce from one lady and she quoted us $4.95/lb and another lady corrected her and said they were $2.95/lb. The first lady replied "opps, I've been quoting people the wrong price.". Overall, everything we bought seemed to be on the high side (more expensive than we're used to at other markets). There are other vendors that don't say much and others that were quite chatty and friendly. The walkway also gets very crowded and 3-4 people bumped into me while I was looking at things. In the end, I may stick with the market in Rancho Cucamonga, 1 reason being that it's closer, 2) Although smaller, I can find the same produce 3) not as crowded and 4) It has tamales. Although I did find a bread guy in Claremont that sells awesome squaw bread! 110/100 Reviews for 2015

Yelp
This is my Sunday morning alarm. I haven't missed one in about 3 months. I agree there aren't many vendors and not all of the Farmers produce look crisp and picture perfect but they are GOOD and I am in LOVE with Spring Hill Cheeses that comes down from Sonoma. Sweet Farms is another wonderful farm stand that I frequent and OMG there is one (only one) vendor that has beautiful Tomatillo's ($2.00 a basket), tasty sweet tomatoes not to mention the serranos they sell for $2.00 a basket. It has inspired us to eat cleaner and even purchase a juicer. They don't have a organic meat supplier that is sort of a bummer and one vendor 'Fallen Fruit' & proceeds go to women in need. Respectfully Reviewed

Rolena I.

Yelp
I finally went again after not going for probably 1-2 years. They seem to have grown with a few more vendors. The vendors were a lot more friendly than before by saying "Good Morning". I know a morning greeting should be pretty ordinary, but it's better than when people don't say anything at all, yet depending on the public to make their living. I think this is one of the best FMs in the local area. The parking, however, is atrocious! I guess it's just best to be one of the first people there in the morning.
google avatar

Yelp
What is this amazing place!!! Every Sunday from 8 AM to 1 PM this farmers market is open. This is truly a true farmers market. There is so much variety in fruits, Vegetables, honey, eggs, live herbs, meat, and even jewelry. Most of all the produce are all organic as well. The prices are also below grocery store prices. Plus you are buying direct from the people who harvest all this food for our enjoyment rather than large corporations trying to make a profit. While here we bought a variety of fruits which a lot of the fruit-stands have free samples. They also sell cheese and crafts here as well. If you go to any of the local farmers market's this is the one to go to. We will be back.
google avatar

Joanna R.

Yelp
I really enjoy this farmers market. In comparison to other local farmers markets in the surrounding area, this one seems to be what a farmers market should be. There's a large variety of fruits and vegetables and they offer other products, such as nuts, honey, some handmade items and plants and flowers. The downside is they do not allow pets.
google avatar

Oh N.

Yelp
It's a quaint and quiet nice little area that I love to pick up bread, flowers, vegetables and other things from. One Sunday morning (10/30/2016) was memorable because a gentleman or gentlewoman paid for many flowers in advance. We tried to hand over a $20 (flower was $5), but the florists refused and gave us the flowers instead explaining what happened. It's a moment that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you mysterious wonderful person, and the florists that honored his/her request!
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
This is a pretty small farmer's market (maybe I'm used to the bigger ones like Irvine and Monrovia?) and it's mainly fruits/veggies--so a fairly traditional farmer's market. Most of them are selling the same things, though they also give out samples which is awesome. There's also the token hummus stand, a couple honey stands, and breads. I noticed other Yelpers complaining about parking, but I didn't have any issue at 11am? I guess it's a good spot to go if you want some fresh (but fairly pricey) veggies/fruits, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here unless you plan on dining and browsing the little shops around it.

Lena Z.

Yelp
I go there every Sunday. The environment is welcoming, festive yet relaxed. The food is fresh and great.

Sarah B.

Yelp
This event is so cute. I loved all of the stands. They have a wide variety of produce & the sellers are so sweet. I will definitely be coming back
google avatar

Kathleen U.

Yelp
I had no idea that Claremont had a Farmers' Market and that business was running as usual! There are designated signs that tell patrons which direction to walk. This market has more booths than the other ones I've been to. Love the choices!
google avatar

Lex C.

Yelp
First of all I had a hard time finding it as the website location said 2nd & Indian Hill, BUT it was actually on 2nd & Harvard. Once I found it though- it was great! I bought all this for about $40. The bread and fruit vendors were very good (some also gave samples). It takes a little bit to walk around and scope out prices but it was so cute and made me feel good to support local growers.
google avatar

Matt N.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to spend my Sunday morning. There isn't many vendors but enough to have most of your organic needs met. Parking can also be a hassle at times but for those who don't know, you can park behind the businesses as well! Most of the vendors I have dealt with have been pleasant, haven't received any bad vibes yet. They usually also have samples too, which I think is awesome! I also love the live music from local artist, it makes my Sunday's that much better.
google avatar

Steve P.

Yelp
Don't know what's happening here. Maybe it's the lack of customers but today vendors seem to be getting rude and yelling at people instead of being professional. I get it times are tough but treat other the way you want to be treated.

Yelp
First time here and didn't enjoy it. My fiancé and I came with our puppy this afternoon. We always go crazy at Farmers Markets and we were really excited to check this one out and buy some awesome stuff but instead we got disappointed =\. Foods were overpriced...a lot of the stuff we've already bought from other Farmer's Markets for as much as $3-$4 less. They overprice everything here. There weren't very many vendors either. It was only as long as about one street down, extremely small. Fruits, vegetables, cheese, books, some clothes and arts stuff, flowers...seemed like only 1-2 vendors per category. A lot of the fruits for samples weren't that fresh either. We love it when vendors open fresh fruits in front of our face so we can actually try something delicious and know what we are buying, and of course, it always makes us buy. I mean, you don't have to open the best fruits since you want to sell them, but at the same time, don't use fruits that don't even look appealing as samples either. Gave it two stars only because parking wasn't too bad and they do have a selection of everything, even if it is very small and overpriced.

Yelp
I have a couple of faves in Claremont Farmers & Artisans Market. 1. Freshly Baked Bread... sourdough bread, french baguette 2. Book Stand... sells books at cost of donation... got 3 books for $15. 3. Middle Eastern Snacks... pita chips, humus, tabouli. I have always had great service w/ all the vendors. The flowers are always fresh and love the choice of trees the nursery brings. You can even request him to bring a certain one as well... totally awesome. It's always great helping out the locals. :)

Yelp
My first visit to this particular farmers market. It runs Sundays 8am-1pm, and is located on 2nd Street, in between Indian Hill and Yale. I managed to get there at 12 noon and it was still going strong. There were lots of fruit/veggie stands competing for your attention, as well as a few flower stands. A couple of tables offered fresh eggs. Intermixed in there were tents offering Mediterranean specialties, massages, hand-crafted soaps, dates, seafood, fresh apple/orange juices, honey, and a couple of other things I can't remember right now. However, there was a surprising lack of any food vendors. Maybe I caught the market on an off day, but I didn't see any open vendor space. So if you're looking for lunch (as I was), you'll be disappointed. At least its right in the midst of the Village, so you could easily enjoy a Sunday lunch at any nearby eatery. Still, I expect to see food at any farmers market. As such, -1 star.
