LOVED my experience here! Planned a 20-30 person event and the staff helped me with a lot of details for the event! I had the full bar with sliders, tacos, fruit tray etc for food options. Currently planning the next event to have there soon!

We visited this black owned establishment on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. This business is located in downtown Las Vegas. They have Trap Bingo and Karaoke on Tuesday nights. It states on their Instagram, entry was free before 10 PM. We arrived around 8:40 PM. Upon arrival outside, there is a security guard we showed ID’s to. This didn’t appear to be the rundown ghetto part of downtown Las Vegas. We felt pretty safe in this area. I’m not sure about parking, since we just took an Uber here. It did appear that they had side street parking, however I didn’t see anywhere you had to purchase it so maybe it’s free. The security guard did not check my boyfriend’s pockets or my purse before we entered. Once we entered the establishment it was quaint, clean, and had a laidback ambience. They had R&B and Hip-hop hits playing overhead. We decided to sit at the bar, but there were other patrons smoking hookah and having drinks. They do have a QR code hookah menu, where you can select your hookah flavor. We don’t smoke hookah, so we didn’t partake. The bartender Sierra was very nice, professional, and welcoming. We asked her for a drink menu, but they don’t have one. I decided to order a Bahama mama and my boyfriend ordered a Mojito. The drinks didn’t take long to make. I do feel they need a drink menu! The Bahama mama was its standard flavorful drink. It was sweetly balanced and not overly strong. My boyfriend enjoyed his Mojito and I did sample it myself. The Mojito was refreshing and pretty balanced. They also have food at this establishment, but we had already eaten before arrival. They have several TV’s right by the bar. We were able to watch the WNBA playoffs game and the US Open tennis matches. I asked the bartender what time the Trap Bingo was starting and she stated it would be around 9 PM. She also stated they would have Karaoke that night more than likely. They also have a back room area, which I was able to go view. We were informed we also could sit back here in this area, but just not at the high top tables which require reservations. I just sipped on my Bahama mama throughout our time there. The bartender checked on us consistently to see if we needed anything or wanted to order anything else. Like any bar, you can start a tab and leave it open or close it upon purchasing your items. Keep in mind they do add 18% gratuity to every bill, which seems to be a standard practice for black owned businesses these days. As the night went on, several more patrons entered the building and were seated. We also noticed that they never did Trap Bingo like the bartender stated. We stayed here for about an hour and a half and they still hadn’t started. They did start broadcasting music videos on one of the TVs, which had a statement at the bottom entitled Hip-Hop Bingo. I felt this was a bit misleading on their part as a business. I even directly asked the bartender who stated they would have Bingo on this evening. It also states this as I said on their Instagram page. I feel this is a gimmick to get patrons to come in on a Tuesday night to order drinks, hookah, and food. It appeared throughout the night at times they were going to start the Trap Bingo. It never came to fruition for some reason when we were there. I don’t not recommend this place, but definitely don’t pay attention to their advertisements. Especially the advertisements of them having Trap Bingo on Tuesday nights, if you go on a Tuesday. I do feel more than likely on a Wednesday night they do have live music and a band. This is due to the business advertising it more heavily on their Instagram and website pages. Overall this was a pretty good evening and we did enjoy ourselves for the amount of time we stayed. We decided to leave around 10 PM, because they still hadn’t started the Trap Bingo. I’m still unsure if it actually took place after we left. I think it’s great that this establishment is a black owned lounge in Las Vegas. This is quite unique and rare. You don’t find a lot of black owned establishments in Las Vegas, let alone a lounge.

Google
I am very disappointed with this place because I could’ve went anywhere else to do karaoke and chose to support this place who lied about having karaoke on a Thursday and not a single Song was performed. I blame the karaoke DJ as he should have done a better job encouraging folks to sing. they should have used a sign up app so folks didn’t have to feel uncomfortable getting up to sign up. On a positive note, the atmosphere is decent and the bartenders are nice. The food is meh. I wouldn’t order from there again. I hate to be lied to. Dont think ill be coming back until they have some actual real karaoke, that is organized well

Google
We visited Classic Jewel on a Thursday night and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was really nice, and the drinks were fantastic. The bartender was super friendly and beautiful (she is the reason for the 5⭐️, which added to the great experience. The DJ was on point. I can't wait to come back.

Google
The bartenders are really cute and friendly, they make excellent drinks and the pricing is moderate for Vegas. Customer service is spot on overall, security made everything feel safe. I stopped in to see the band for The Shed last week, which was on point. The vocalists and saxophonist meshed so well. I will definitely be back for another performance or event.

Google
This is a really nice little hang out. It's big enough with the 2 rooms to feel open bit not so big that it's crazy with people. They have Hooka if you like that. The guy who sets all that up is on top of his game. Watched him help the people all night. Bar tenders are prompt to help you. They do a bang up of a job with alm the Covid 19 restrictions in place to make you feel safe.

Yelp
I reserved the Classic Jewel this past November for my mom's 80th birthday celebration. I live out of state and I'd never been there, so the site was physically unseen. Although I worked with Sherri for months prior to, I was nervous...until I walked through the doors the night of the event! Sherri understood the assignment and the night was wonderful! From the decor, the food, the drinks, amenities, to the service, it was the best! Once again, thank you to all Classic Jewel staff for helping make this memorable event a great time!

La Toya L.

Yelp
I've been to this event space before, and it was very good. This time I came for a networking event for entrepreneurs and it was even better. Downtown offers so many things, including this amazing bar. The decor is chic and updated reminiscence of old Hollywood with a touch of glamour. The food was excellent, and the service was very good as well. Great place to have drinks and cocktails and even networking events.

Yelp
My visit with a friend here on a Friday night left much to be desired. First off, we thought we were walking into a totally different environment than the one that we did, lol. The ambiance (and music) was different than we had expected, as well as there being no happy hour as advertised. Google & Yelp! make this place look so different! Nonetheless, we decided to stick it out and try some of the food. The menu itself is another letdown. There's not much to choose from when it comes to food, and the food that we tried to order was shut down because the kitchen was "about to close." So we went with the only thing we could: fries. Between this and the overpriced menu, our first visit here wasn't great. Our server blamed it on transitioning management, what can you say. In the end, the 2 of us were charged an automatic 18% gratuity, when both the menu and our checks said that automatic gratuity would be added for parties of 6 or more. Complete scam. Overall, I won't be pressed to return.

Kena M.

Yelp
We are still over the moon from the night! We held our 25th wedding anniversary at The Classic Jewel and Sherri and her staff were amazing! The place was perfect for our 100 person party. They can help you with all of your needs. From catering, music, decor, whatever. The process was smooth and we cannot wait to go back. They even ordered my bougie wine so that I can have my drink at the event. The sound system was blasting and the band sounding top notch. Can't thank them enough. It was lit!

Pastor Ramon L. J.

Yelp
It needs a complete overhaul haul with management. It does not seem like they have what it takes to maintain a quality gym. Moreover, to keep it clean.

Randy N.

Yelp
My favorite downtown bar/lounge. Most nights there's live entertainment to accompany the great drinks and delicious bar food. The chicken tacos, wings and fries are a must try. Last time I was there I had a blueberry mule. Never even heard of it but I'd definitely order it again. My favorite night of the week is Tuesday night. They have live comedy and a DJ. No cover. The parking is free and they also have hookah half off until 10pm. The staff is always friendly and they move fast to get your order complete. The owner is often there enjoying the vibes as a patron. If you're in or live in Las Vegas, stop by and have a drink while the game is on. If you can get by there on a Tuesday night, I'd highly recommend. I'd command it if I could. Classic Jewel for the win!!!

Roberta M.

Yelp
The food is so delicious, the atmosphere is perfect and easy to access. The bar and stage are perfect for any event. The service was superb for this crowded event!!!!

Shay K.

Yelp
This place at first was great now is just a dud I don't know what happened to them It's sad because it used to be a really cool vibe but being the fact that they did not answer the phone when I was down there in Vegas and they were literally there and I wasted money to travel over there through Uber I'm going to give them a star and literally they did not even acknowledge me when I was knocking at the door and they were clearly at the bar cleaning up

Keishe C.

Yelp
Great drinks and food . Ambiance is great an intimate. I love the vibe and tune I've spent hanging with my friends.

Punkin P.

Yelp
I was so excited to come to Classic Jewel for music night but was sadly disappointed from the service. 1st we arrived sat at the bar and ordered drinks. Watched several drinks come out AFTER we ordered. We had to ask for our drinks although they were not packed. 2nd we ordered happy hour and were overcharged and advised that prices are not listed even tho we were handed a menu with prices. I'on care if its 3 cents... Charge me accordingly. But this SERVICE is a N-O for me

Elle W.

Yelp
Awful service, forgetful server. We went to this place as a recommendation from a local. I was very disappointed in the lack of service from the bartender who made us very nasty drinks. Very juicy drinks. We ordered baked wings, French fries, Caesar salad and a watermelon mint hookah. We never got the wings, 40 mins later we received soggy fries and an over dressed Caesar salad! What took 40 mins? We had to ask for the hookah twice before they brought it out. It was a total of 15 ppl in the whole establishment so really no excuse for the lack of service and communication. $80 for drinks, fries, salad and a hookah. Not worth it.

Kayla N.

Yelp
Came here last night for a private party and thoroughly enjoyed myself! The staff stellar! The drink were fire. And the food was delicious! The live entertainment was the best part, though! I will definitely be back during a regular day.

Stefanie D.

Yelp
Great spot for happy hour and dancing! I will visit again soon. Great place off the strip.

Kayla R.

Yelp
Had to stop in to grab my cocktail kit for a virtual Yelp event and decided to stay for cocktails and dinner! This location is great and they actually have public parking across the street, which is nice, especially for downtown areas. It is also within walking to distance to so many other spots, too, so if you're down in DTLV looking for great bars, it's definitely a great spot. My husband ordered the Monto Carlo to drink and I ordered the Hotel National to drink. We loved our cocktails so much we ended up ordering another round. Adam, our bartender, was fantastic. He was super friendly and took great care of us. The vibe in here is so cool and definitely plays tribute to old Vegas with photos of old Vegas performers everywhere. I can see how this would be such a fun spot to go later at night, too. It's definitely a lounge vibe and they even have hookah, too. They also do live music on the weekends and I think most weeknights, too. While we were there, we also ended up ordering a fantastic spread of food. The owner, Ryan, tried to tell me that they had just okay food and honestly, she undersold it! WOW! The food here is really fantastic, too. I ordered the chicken and waffles, the Japanese garlic fries, the crab cakes and the buffalo chicken sliders. Everything was so delicious. The chicken and waffles was soooo good. Woww. The sauce that you dipped the fries in was also incredibly divine. The salad that came on the side with the crab cakes was even amazing! Did I mention how good the crab cakes were? Highly recommend. The food really was fantastic and a pleasant surprise. Would love to come back when it's later at night and in its prime for sure. They also do bottle service here, too, like a club but not at the on the Strip prices!

Angel R.

Yelp
Ordered a hookah. An hour later we had not receive gotten it despite asking for it about 40 min in. While waiting ordered drinks - including some soda which they said they were out of. Definitely avoid this place.

Cee S.

Yelp
Great date night spot with some dope music. I love to sit and chill with a strong drink and hookah. The service can be slow but the food (wings) made up for it. I will be back for the live music and yes, the wings.

Jaye D.

Yelp
Been here plenty of times and always good, but tonight I thoroughly enjoyed my experience...the salmon was amazing and the tacos were just as good...much love to Mo The Bartender who gave great service and chopped it up with me all night

Chloe L.

Yelp
This place is awesome.. Me and my wife had our reception here and the owner and staff were amazing We highly recommend.. The food and drinks was delicious. Good music and clean restrooms. . Thank you Classic Jewel for your amazing hospitality. We will be back Chloe & Tia

Jeanine D.

Yelp
The Classic Jewel Lemme just say I'm Black Therefore biased when it comes to black owned business. I give them more chances to do wrong than anyone else. Ill just say Im glad I went ONLY for the entertainment. So .. Let me set the scene... My lil Thang from the ATL came to visit me Y'all know ... I'm on the prowl since my break up. So I wanna show him that Black-people-Vegas is more than F@ck A$$ Drais and rappers past their prime tryna hold on to relevance by doing "residencies" I'd never been here before but I heard the live music was good. The internet says the show starts at ... I forget Whatever it was we go 30 mins later cause ... I know how my people are. So we get in nd people are just standing around. And we dont know who the f@ck to talk to for a table? The staff does not... I repeat DOES NOT have on a uniform They not even wearing clothes that look light weight similar. We just roll up on a lady by a cash register and hope she work there. Luckily she did and was pleasant. She gave us two choices for seating: Then first one was dumb close to the stage The second one was EXTRA dumb close to the stage. We opted for the first one. We at our lil table... Chilling... The Dj Is spinning jams... Issssa vibe A short cute lil waitress slides up and asks if were ready to order. I have a question about a food item. Shes goes to ask the chef right quick, comes back with the answer. Im like bet, okay, she on it. So we order... I get the Japanese something or other fries - an appetizer. (They had a vegan burger but I just hAd a gut feeling it was gon' piss me off) He gets the chicken wings as an app & Salmon as an entree. We both get lemonade cause we dont drink and thats when EVERYTHING changed. Look like lil momma had to stop herself from rolling her eyes. And I suppressed a sarcastic quip. She leaves and the entertainment for the night arrives and jumps on stage AND JUST STARTS!! Wasnt no warm up Wasnt no sound check Was barely an introduction They literally just start And it was banging... Except for the part where the bass guitarist couldn't find his sound and the keyboardist signaled him to stop f@ckin up the vibe. It sounded baaaaaad but he found his way. -- warm up woulda helped out, I bet So after a whiiiiiillllllle.... His SALMON comes out Wtf the wings & my fries? No body knows. And lil momma didn't say shit. But he dont wanna eat b4 I get my food causes hes a gentlemen Annnd wants to secure the kitty kat. But after like 10 mins I tell him to eat. He does He said it was "okay" Theeeen my fries comes Beyond mediocre! So mediocre I wanted to ask the chef "Yo, you stand behind this bullshit?" Once his ENTREE IS FINISHED, His Lemon Pepper wings come And he assumes they didnt hear the lemon pepper part So the food was a complete WASH And lil momma NEVER came back. NEVER In fact, 386 hours later, when the people next to us left and we were still left alone, I put our plates on their table. Even MORE IN FACT, the musicians finished, everyone was leaving and she still aint come back. I told bro to come on and lets just go. He said "without paying?" I said "breh, they dont want no money" But he insisted So we ended up walking ourselves to the cashier at the bar and INSISTING we pay. All Imma say is.... I went there to hear good music And I did And FOR THAT... I am pleased So... they reallll lucky --side eye--

Delicious D.

Yelp
The drinks were delicious and the service was also delicious. Whoever that bartender was that took my picture was fooooooine AF!!! And super friendly!! The ambiance was everything. Can't wait to go back there to cut a rug!!

Melinda E.

Yelp
Friday's and Saturday's are a vibe. Great food and drinks. Reasonably priced. The DJ is fire. I could easily become a regular at this spot. Love to support black owned businesses with great service . Perfect for a date or girls/guys night out, great to meet up with friends or make new ones.

Tammy J.

Yelp
Came for a birthday last month. Tables are packed tight and close. Wish they had AC was pretty hot in there and it was only about 68 degrees earlier that day. Service was a little slow for cocktails

Helene W.

Yelp
The food was very good. Had salmon, crab cake, japanese fried. Very tasty. Then saw singer, my dermatologist, sings with a jazz trio. Very good. Show is an extra cost. Nice place

Elaine N.

Yelp
Stopped by for drinks and a bite on a Tuesday night and had a great time. Kristopher our bartender was super friendly, attentive and an amazing mixologist. He makes the most unique concoctions I've ever tasted. Loved the spicy baked jalapeño margarita and the nut buster :-) fabulous cocktails. Tasty bites from the tangy lemon pepper chicken wings to their salads and sliders. Great atmosphere and cool vibe. Will be be back.

G H.

Yelp
I came here on 08/08/2023. Everything was great. Parking across the street (free), very flavorful tacos, hookahs, and drinks. In town visiting, I decided to come here for a comedy show (I found it on the Eventbrite app) on a Tuesday, and didn't regret it at all. Great customer service, great food, funny comedians, great tasting hookah, a good size for the crowd, & an amazing fan/AC blowing. I will most definitely return here whenever I am in town.

Kim H.

Yelp
Stopped in for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. This is a hidden gem. Was a bit before 6 pm ordered our drinks with wings and fries. There is parking right across the street and on the street parking so you have your options which is nice for downtown. The bartender was great and really helpful and funny. The food was amazing as well as our drinks. Definitely a spot that we will be visiting again.

Vee M.

Yelp
Our food was horrible -- pandemics is over and if I wanted take out, I'd order take out. The fries were burnt, the chicken wasn't baked evenly, the waffles (not pictured) were brick hard, and the wings were burnt too.

Lasheena M.

Yelp
Loud music, good good and nice atmosphere. However, there is 2 sections and staff select who they want to sit on certain sides.

Munch C.

Yelp
Not good for big parties. Tiny flimsy tables after a certain time have $100+ minimums. For what? The main area is no bigger than a grab and go coffee shop. My party was told to either hover around the bar behind other patrons or pay $200 for a table in an empty room. Paying the money wasn't the issue but unfortunately the young inexperienced staff didn't read the room and offer solutions. The bartenders never made eye contact to offer any type of drink and instead were more interested smoking hookah and talking with each other. If it is a casual vibe, than be that without the minimums. Hostesses that are rude and businesses that have bad service can't demand minimums on a slow Saturday night.

Sheilicha S.

Yelp
I visited my very dear friend in Vegas back in June, for a Women's Empowerment event. I feel bad that we never took any pictures together but I am glad I could've been there for support. The event was lovely and there was a huge turn out. The spot was decorated elegantly with the beautifully arranged Bouquet of flowers and decorations all around. I will always show love and support whenever I can.

Devan H.

Yelp
Lovely spot! My def go to when I need to unwind, hell might catch you a party in progress. Welcoming atmosphere and highly recommend for tourists. Hookah always hit (SHOUT OUT TO RJAY ), bartenders always on point (thank you Ciara ) and just a good time. Good food, shots and vibes.

Timothy R.

Yelp
Great show, came for comedy night on Tuesday. Great customer service. Im from out of town. If your visiting Vegas its a must go!!! I had a great time, I'll be back!!

Chandler S.

Yelp
I always love to support a Black owned business. I loved their karoke nights! The food is good. I would get the crab cakes. They are made inhouse!

Renita C.

Yelp
This really used to be one of my favorite spots, but after my experience Saturday I probably won't go back. It used to be just fun and down to earth, but now you apparently must have a reservation to sit at a table and me and my friend from work just wanted to unwind after work. There was one table that wasn't reserved but were told we had to spend $200. Plus the server girl was the absolute rudest!

Dee D.

Yelp
My friend and I decided to stop in for some live music and food on 11/3/21. I ordered the Vegan Sliders with Gisellyy I advised her no onions. She brought my fries out cold. She brought my sliders out with onions. When I advised her of this. Only thing she said was sorry. She didn't say how she can fix it. I have allergic reaction to onions plus we paid for something we didn't eat. I like this place because of the vibe but I will never order food again. I had to go to CVS and purchase Benadryl before I broke out. She has awful Customer Service.

Crystal A.

Yelp
Came here early on a Saturday night, at first the vibe was very chill, R&B in the background, started off with a Mexican Mule, just about as good as any other mule style beverage. I'm glad they serve food, I didn't have a chance to try anything, but my friend said the sliders were good. As the night progressed the bar got super packed - it's a very small bar with one male/female restroom, in COVID times probably not the most ideal place to be even tho masks are enforced while walking outside of your table only. They offer hookah and even open up bottle service in another area (starts at $100) Downside is they charge cover at 8pm $20 cash only and even charge if you have a table. The music gets club loud once the bottle service opens up, there's definitely no chance to get your conversation in after that. The place gets lively and people start dancing in placing there's no where to dance, no room to get to the restroom, harder to order a drink or close out the tab. No private parking lot, street parking available and free on the weekends. I dig that this is female owned, great decor, they Pay homage to drink creators and old school R&B artists, they take their cocktails seriously, they have live jazz and music events that I hope to catch one day and they have happy hour. Cute spot to check out early in the day

Leonardo J.

Yelp
Great Music and even Greater people. Where do you go when you want that Urban Sophistication? The Strip? Nah too noisy Fremont Street? Nope, too hipster Classic Jewel is where you go! Right off of Bonneville and South 3rd it's where you can hear your favorite songs and be around a variety of good folks whether it be folks coming off from work for happy hour or getting your grown and sexy on during the weekend. Classic Jewel has something for everybody if you wanna smoke hookah too they got that as well plus the drink selections and prices are good too. Yep Classic Jewel is the Sho Shot! E

Stacy B.

Yelp
Listen ...just go! Live music is such a dope vibe. Drinks are great and the hookah is smooth! Just a great vibe overall and some nights they don't even charge a cover. Check this place out if you are looking to support local black businesses downtown. Cheers!

Travis L.

Yelp
Visited from out of town, friendly service and the food is great, really liked the Garlic Parm tenders and they weren't shy about giving me all the ranch I would need when they brought it out.

Taisia A.

Yelp
Me and my friend came here today as we are here from New York. The bartender didn't know what hours happy hour was because it was only his third day allegedly. I asked him to make me and my friend apple martinis. He spent five minutes scrambling and it was apparent he didn't know how to make it. My friend opted for a margarita instead. It was extremely sour and when she told him about it he told her there are only three ingredients in a margarita. To save him the trouble of making drinks I asked for two shots of don julio respasado. Shortly after giving us the shots he closed out our tab and gave us the check which we didn't ask for yet. The place plays great music and has great drink specials unfortunately I was unable to experience them.

Janay H.

Yelp
This place is great . This is my second time here and I love the energy and vibe. It isn't overly crowded and the food is good. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars was because they took too long to bring hookah and we had to walk to the bar 2 times to get drinks after the waitress failed to come

Toi C.

Yelp
Classic Jewel has been one of my go to places since relocating to Vegas. I noticed that they recently hired a new bartender. My main complaint about him is that while making drinks he will touch his face and hair without washing his hands. Aside from that the rest of the staff if amazing. The food is good, the drinks are better.

Jim S.

Yelp
I think this place has changed from the cool, hip, classic cocktail bar that it use to be. I walked in last night with my date. There was one lone person smoking a hookah in a booth and another couple at the bar talking with the bartender. I asked for a menu and was told the kitchen was closed (I didn't even know there was a kitchen) I said, "no, we'd like a cocktail menu". The bartender said, "oh, we don't have one of those either". Lacking the confidence that this young girl knew how to make anything more then a draft beer, we left. I guess the Classic Jewel that I once experienced and loved is no more.

Zahkyia H.

Yelp
Very nice venue. It looks really upscale with a nice chill vibe. Bartender DeWayne makes really good drinks. I went for an event last week. Power episode viewing. The Classic Jewel staff were really nice and efficient, however the event itself seem very unorganized. I wasn't really sure who was hosting and there was no communication on when the episode was starting, conversation after etc. I this place has great potential in events with the right leadership and organization.

Angela H.

Yelp
Last week was my first time going to this lounge and the service was Great and the Dj was spinning some good music. Which made the atmosphere pleasant. We ordered food; crab cakes and shrimp flatbread, along with our drinks were soooo delicious. If I could give them more then five stars, I would...

Imean J.

Yelp
This is the hot spot for Sunday the food is good the atmosphere is good everyone is friendly this is a wonderful atmosphere would recommend it. I also love that it's a black obusiness

Jamie T.

Yelp
Awesome customer service great atmosphere, drinks and food. Great place for happy hour in the downtown area.

Hazzel R.

Yelp
A little bar hidden in plain sight... I came across this place after grabbing food near by. Having so many other options a few steps away (Downtown/Fremont), this place is definitely a good spot to enjoy some delicious cocktails and good music. It's kinda small which is perfectly fine by me, it's more of an intimate setting. As a local that's kind of hard to find when you want to avoid the large crowds. They were expanding it at the time. Now they have another section attached to it, which is treated more as a dance floor. They have themed nights throughout the week, as well as special events. Lots of funky cocktails and most nights they have a Dj spinning. Happy hour specials from 4pm-7pm even on the weekends. And if you get hungry, some nights they will have a food truck posted outside. It definitely has an old school vibe with the decor they have going on. But the main reason this place had me coming back and for the 4 stars I'm giving, was because of the AMAZING service DANIEL always gave. He was friendly and actually interacted with me even when he was busy. And the drinks he makes are really good! Every time I come by he always has a smile and seems to actually enjoy his job. You'd think he was the owner! Great service and delicious drinks? Yes, please!
