After a massage next door I decided to try this bakery and was hoping to get a pastry as I was on a roll with treating myself after the massage. This location is central and in the middle of a section of Ventura Blvd with a lot of other services, so the location is great Its spacious inside with several tables on the sidewalk which were shaded. There was a pickup area and it looked busy. I had their coffee from a fresh batch which was excellent. The service was quick and I thought the prices looked reasonable. I didn't have a full breakfast but look forward to doing that sometime soon.

Google
You pay at the counter and then pick a table. Lots of fresh baked good that you can see me your breakfast all day and lunch was very delicious. Plenty of gluten free options. Juices were great too. They were busy when I came at 9am so make time to wait in line.

The atmosphere and staff were excellent, and then on top of that the food is so yummy. We went for weekend brunch, and it is now our favorite spot!!!! If you haven't tried it, GO!

The best miso salmon bowl I have ever had! Crave worthy.

Google
Amazing food! This is a busy restaurant full of locals who know. I actually make detours in my trips to hit up Claudine’s in Encino. Excellent food and fantastic bakery!

Google
Found this spot after a long morning hiking. So glad the had outdoor seating as I had my dog with me and I got to have him with me as we ate our meals. I had the wet brisket burrito and though it was good I feel the sauce masked the flavors of the ingredients inside the burrito. I would definitely come back though.

Google
Found this place earlier today. My best friend and I were looking for a brunch spot. The place was pretty busy. Not a traditional restaurant set up. We had to stand in line and order our food. Then they give us a number. We then just find a place to sit and have the number displayed for the servers to bring our order. There is a QR code on the number which allows us to order more menu items without having to wait in line. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the shakshuka. We got a trial of mimosas drinks think they called it a flight, mocha coffee and a hash brown. Honestly, all the items were great. I would get any of it again. They have their own bottle of hot sauce. My friend liked it so much I bought her a bottle. The service was quick. Everyone was staying busy, turning over tables, pushing food out... The only negative was this butternut squash soup.. I don't know if we ordered it or if it came with something. We were not a fan of it. Overall, I loved the experience here. It was a bit on the noisy side though. They have tables inside, outside and a bar seating area. Curious to see how this system of ordering works when it's even more busy and all the tables are taken.. do people just stand and hold their number while hoping someone finishes before their food is out? Bottom line... Good food, good service, good environment... Plan to come again

I love this place! Really great coffee and lots of baked goods to choose from. Bustling atmosphere, casual dining experience with incredible dishes, thoughtful workers and quick service. Will always return.

Yelp
I come here somewhat often and always have a good experience. Their food is solid, coffee is delightful and service is great. Lots of seating inside and outside. Most recently I came to get a coffee, a sandwich and some pastries. The turkey and baked Brie sandwich was delicious! Very rich. It's nice they have a seasonal menu so there's always something new to try. The pastries here are insanely good. From scones to cookies, pies and more, nothing is a miss! The pumpkin scone blew my mind. It was so soft and the drizzle on top was amazing. It almost tasted like cake. The cranberry scone was a little different, more in the fashion of a classic crispier scone, and it was also delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and made with care. Great spot for breakfast, lunch or midday pickup!

Yelp
Rarely think about or make it out to Claudine but I am glad we did today! Took the day off work and we decided to come for mimosas and breakfast! A short drive from home and parked in the structure (they validate 2 hours). I got the Nashville hot chicken and eggs... it has gravy and hash browns in the plate as well. I destroyed this meal. Wow. The orange yolk was on point. Nice presentation as well. It was rather loud for 9am breakfast sitting but we made due. Service was decent and friendly, not the best I've felt. Will definitely be returning!

Yelp
This place is booming and buzzing! New to Porter Ranch, it is the place to be for a delicious breakfast! Seating is a bit hard to find since it's very crowded and you have to find a table on your own. I do wish there were a hostess to assist. I think something happened with the orders because we waited 45 minutes for one plate of food. However, the staff offered complimentary cookies and rice krispy treat for the delay, which we really appreciated. The hashtag is a must! Such a delicious skillet of crispy Hashbrowns, cheese, green peppers, eggs, chives, and sour cream!

Yelp
Places with parking have a special place in my heart. You can get validation inside for up to 2 hours free. When you arrive, you order inside at the counter. They will give you a number and bring your food out to you when it's ready. There's seating inside and outside along Ventura. There's a lot on the menu and so much of it sounds delicious. The portions were a good size and I loved that when I asked for well done hash browns, they were nice and crispy. My only negatives were that the place was so busy with people in and out that the staff couldn't clean and turn over the tables fast enough. Also, my omelette was pretty greasy. I even put it on a napkin to soak up some of the oil. Not ideal for an egg white omelette. Overall a cute place with options for everyone. Pro tip: they have Shirley temples in the soda fountain!!

Yelp
urth cafe style ordering, there's a line and you order at the register and they find your table number to serve you. a line does build up here!! the brisket burrito tasted very good, would say it is very heavy though. the avocado toast is good as well! orange juice is fresh squeezed. the man working the register was very sweet.

Yelp
This place has been on my radar for a while and I finally stopped by. It's pretty big inside with a mouth watering baked good section that had me drooling! I bought a small Bundt cake, a blueberry scone and a slice of the banana bread. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I am planning on going back for breakfast soon. *Breakfast/Brunch & Lunch menu *Street parking only *Dine in or take out available *Family & kid friendly

Yelp
Once you get past the long line that moves very slowly and finding a place to sit, everything is great. The food is very good. Fresh with quality ingredients and nice presentation. Park for free across the street at Amazon Fresh complex. Don't go on the weekends unless you like to wait. I would come back, just time it out better.

Yelp
I'm in town for about a week. My doctor recommended the chocolate chip cookies here so my family went for lunch. The cookies are small but are really quite good, taste homemade. I got the miso salmon bowl. It was so tasty! And so healthy but in a tasty way. It was a perfectly balanced bowl, I just wish the salmon had been a lil bigger and that some of the veggies had been cooked more/at all. The sauce on the salmon was so yummy, I should've asked for more of it on the side to use on the veggies. The rest of my family got the pancakes and really loved them. And we're a picky bunch when it comes to pancakes. The staff were so kind and friendly. The space feels catered to adults but was also kid friendly. I might go back while I'm still here!

Yelp
A busy self serve cafe! Order up and find a table. Both indoor and outdoor seatings are well situated for small or large groups. The menu is simple with breakfast and light sandwich selections. Many coffee, juices, and other beverages to choose from too! Their fried chicken sandwich is juicy and well battered. A nicely putted sandwich together. The short rib Benedict was also very tendered and flavorful hollandaise sauce. A great brunch spot to catchup, casual date, or family gatherings.

Yelp
Nice and early breakfast spot open at 8am. Parking located in the lower parking structure next to the restaurant which they validate for or street parking. Service was a little slow since it was the weekend. Ambiance was casual. My friend and I shared the brisket burrito and pancake. Pancake was very fluffy. Brisket burrito was very filling and I loved the salsa verde that drenched it. Will definitely come back to try more items!
google avatar

Yelp
I picked up a squash salad and an apple pie for Thanksgiving. They were both amazing, both in taste and appearance!

Yelp
Mmm and booo. This is the delicious Vale Vale hot drink. Perfect for the Halloween spirit! Thanks Claudine appreciate your dedication.

Yelp
Delicious Food, Busy Atmosphere I visited Claudine Kitchen in Encino and had a great experience with the food! I ordered the truffle mushroom toast, which was simple but packed with flavor, and it came with a fresh side salad--such a great combo. I also tried the coffee cake muffin, and it was one of the best I've had! Not too sweet, perfectly moist, and topped with a delicious crumble. A big plus is the validated parking--there's an underground lot, and Claudine has a validation machine by the entrance for two hours free parking. However, if you're going on the weekend, be prepared for crowds. It was tough finding a table, and open seats were gone in seconds. Inside, it's pretty loud because the space is packed. They also have wifi. Overall, fantastic food and a great spot, but if you're looking for a quiet, relaxed meal, it might be tricky during peak hours! Would definitely come back for the food, though.

Yelp
I loved this cafe and bakery in Encino. The baked goods are what drew me in but their food was yummy too! They have a wide assortment of baked good everything from pumpkin coffee cake to fruit filled tarts and danishes. I started with a slice of banana bread, the pumpkin coffee cake, and a raspberry tartlet. The coffee cake was super moist, great fall flavoring with the pumpkin and spices, and it was topped with a delicious crumble. The banana bread was equally moist and very good. I loved the raspberry tartlet you could tell it was made with fresh ingredients and the raspberry filling was really zingy. I got an egg white breakfast burrito which also tasted really fresh and came with a side of salsa. The burrito was filled with fresh spinach and feta cheese so it almost had a Greek twist. I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back for more, their baked goods are especially irresistible!

Malia R.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite brunch spots in the valley. You order at the register and they bring the food to the table and the service is great and pretty quick. There are so many great food options and my go-to is the churro tres leches french toast when i have a sweet tooth. The atmosphere is casual and laid back, and I always take family and friends here to catch up.

Yelp
It was my first time here and I'm glad I stopped by! I ordered cafe mocha and it was perfect! I also tried the chicken sandwich which was just okay! The lemon cookie made up for it, it's so soft and not too sweet! The friendly server and busboy made the whole experience even better l! Good vibes all around! Will definitely come back!

Yelp
If you're in the area and waiting for your car at the Mercedes-Benz dealership, this inviting breakfast café is the perfect place to drop in! It's busy but totally worth it--fresh pastries, strong coffee, and a variety of breakfast items make it a great place to wait. The staff is friendly, and the environment is warm and welcoming.

Yelp
Claudine is less than one mile from my house. I had been at Claudine's a couple of times maybe two years ago. While walking with a friend, the topic of fried chicken came up and he said that Claudine has the best. It took me another year to try it. Today, my son and I decided to give it a shot . So I ordered the standard, it comes with eggs and hash, my son got two pieces plus potatoes , I got a soup, and for dessert, we had a donut and a slice of banana cake. It all came to $54 or so. What a value. My son sometimes goes to Canes and gets a below average fried chicken and pays a ton. The young girl at the cashier was so sweet and helpful. The staff serving the food were nice too. We sat outside and watched the cars go by. It was nice and pleasant.

Yelp
Finally able to sit down and try this place as I've ventured in several times on weekends, and it was way too packed. Still surprisingly busy on a weekday afternoon, but there were plenty of tables both inside and outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the tasty coffee. They have good choices, but wouldn't say it was super strong. Menu is large as well and has both breakfast and lunch options. The baked goods also have quite an assortment. We shared the caprese sandwich and Chinese chicken salad. Both were good, but the red velvet donut for dessert is what truly made the meal. Definitely want to return and try more caffeinated beverages and food options!

Yelp
I loved the food! Will def come back here with my friends + fam. The customer service was great:)

Yelp
This place cranks out high quality food for the masses everyday. If you want to eat light, you're covered. Heavy? Covered. Sugar bomb? Covered. They are holding prices in line with the market. You can usually find a seat. Lunch rush is significant so plan to wait 10-15 mins for food. Enjoy.

Yelp
We met my brother here for breakfast before we had to make our way back home to AZ. Claudine has a great variety on the menu to please everyone. I appreciated that they let me order just one malted pancake instead of the three shown on the menu as I can never finish off that many. I only wished they were a bit more generous with the blueberries (as it's a $2 upcharge to add them) but at least they sprinkle a couple on top. My husband and brother were both happy with the brisket breakfast burrito they ordered. It's kind of a beast! Overall it was a good place to meet up.
google avatar

J Kymberly C.

Yelp
Apparently I only eat at great places. Yes; I do my research beforehand because let's face it everything is getting pricey and if I'm going to spend my money on eating out it had better be good which brings me to Claudine. It gets crowded here and with good reason. You go into this busy, light, and airy cafe and line up like you're in a school cafeteria. Grab a menu while you're waiting so you're ready to order when you get to the front. They know their bake goods are the bomb so you are lined up beside all the deliciousness tempting your tastebuds. You literally start to think, "It's breakfast time should I really get a huge slice of strawberry cake?" Well the answer is yes!!! I have no pics of my food because I inhaled it but lo and behold bring on the baked goods!!! A great place to check out for good eats and will definitely go on my return list the next time I'm in the area...
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
To be honest, I'd consider rounding this up to 4 stars, if it weren't for the 1-star service. I'm not one to live by the motto "life is short, eat dessert first," so I was more than disappointed when our dessert arrived a good 10 minutes before our actual meal. To make things worse, the beverage I ordered never showed up at all... perhaps it was by design in a hope to make me feel better about the dessert arriving first? On the bright side, my chinese chicken salad was actually quite good, interesting, flavorful, and deserving of a solid 4 stars. The dessert, however (aside from being out of sequence), was very mediocre at best. Needless to say, I won't be coming back anytime soon. That said, if the service ever catches up to the quality of the kitchen, this place could become a decent breakfast or lunch spot for this reasonably busy and affluent part of Encino.
google avatar

Yelp
Chicken sandwich, Nashville style. I stand by my 2022 review, five stars. Wedges were also perfect.
google avatar

gina l.

Yelp
Claudine's is a great addition to the neighborhood! very unassuming but delicious. Order at the counter and they will bring your food to the table. Free 2 hour parking with validation.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance was cute and welcoming for brunch/lunch. Service was nice and kind. The French toast was soo good, berries were fresh and overall 10/10. Brisket burrito was good but was missing something 7.8/10, wouldn't get again. The chilaquiles were a huge disappointment, it was a bowl of sauce and soggy tortillas but the green sauce was tasty. Probably should have been plated rather than in a bowl, not a single bite of crunch to any tortilla 3/10. But I would definitely come again for another try of other food there.
google avatar

Yelp
If You Enjoy Rudeness with Your Coffee... This Is the Place!!! Went to Claudine Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop in Encino hoping for a nice coffee break. Instead, I got a masterclass in how not to treat customers. Two staff members were rude and condescending, and the manager clearly took the same training. I left feeling humiliated and the dirty-looking kitchen didn't help the appetite. If this is "artisan," I'll pass.
google avatar

Yelp
I came to this place to meet up with an old friend and this was an excellent decision! Claudine's has a lively, casual, and busy atmosphere and is an order and sit restaurant where the food is brought to you after you order it at the counter. The line does take a little bit of time but it is well worth the wait. Staff are friendly and gave their feedback on what their favorites are here. My friend got the French toast that was a very generous portion. Despite the intimidating size of the bread, it was very light and fluffy with blueberries somehow cooked into the batter. The lemon drizzle added a zestiness and wasn't too sugary. The whipped cream was unnecessary and nothing special. I had the breakfast croissant royale and it was very filling. The potato wedges were generously seasoned and had that perfect potato crispiness we all love. The sandwich itself was a good size and the jalapeño aioli made it and added more of a savory flavor to it. Delicious! The blood orange mimosas were a great accent to our meal. It was refreshing, bubbly, and very fresh! Overall, definitely looking forward to coming back here again for another brunch.

Yelp
Oh Claudine! The "it" spot for breakfast/ brunch! I've been going here for years and it never disappoints. Great food and drink options, friendly service and cute decor. Our kids loved all the holiday decor this year. You stand in line to order your food then find seating. They bring your food to your table once ready. Since I am on a health kick, I ordered the egg white burrito. Very delicious and filling. The brisket breakfast burrito is probably the best seller. You can never go wrong with an omelette, avocado toast, or chilaquiles. A must have for a dessert which we like to share is the churro tres leche French toast. Enjoy!
google avatar

Fabiana K.

Yelp
Saturday little before 9am and this place was already busy. Good sign. Luckily I was able to find a table and try all these goodies. You order at the counter and pay there, and then you find a table for yourself. Asked the hostess what was the best sellers and she suggested the churros tres leches French toast and the brisket burrito. My friend and I were very impressed with the burrito. Contrary to what you would expect from a brisket burrito, it wasn't oily or greasy at all, but I felt like eating a super balanced meal. The meat was super tender, but not because of the amount of fat, it was just well cooked. It was also not crammed with cheese, the potato inside was fresh and the size was pretty generous. The French toast though was a slight disappointment, not because it was poorly made, but just because it came with an unusual strong seasoning, something like burned nut taste that maybe my immature palate could not fully appreciate. They have a good selection of items on their menu and counter (so many eye catching baked goods!) and everything looks amazing. I will definitely come back!

Yelp

Yelp
I've been here twice and the food is good, but I was really turned off when I noticed something on one of the donuts while looking at the pastries. It makes me question how clean and careful they are with food. The service seems okay, but when I asked them to fix part of my order, they just dumped my drink from one cup to another instead of remaking it properly. Overall, not the best impression.
google avatar

Nala K.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere with the cutest self seating. Once you order your food with the lovely staff, simply wait for your food and enjoy! The brown sugar cinnamon latte was amazing and the food was good too. We got the miso salmon bowl and the fried chicken sandwich and they tasted amazing! The wedges were great and crispy and well seasoned too. Such a fun breakfast spot and I recommend!

Yelp
We wanted a spot for a quick breakfast. The food was fresh and tasty. There are baked goods as well. My omelette was healthy and had a nice, light taste to it. The space has a bright, airy atmosphere with beautiful woodworking throughout. The staff was friendly and our food was served to us fairly quickly. Plenty of seating and parking. I love it
google avatar

Moises A.

Yelp
Parking is very limited. Suggest finding a spot on the street and allowing at least 1hr-2hrs paid meter. This place has outdoor seating usually in the shade and indoor seating. You order at the counter and find a table and food is brought to your table. This place gets quite busy so plan accordingly. Their baked goods section has some serious options. They make fresh squeezed OJ that tastes amazing. I believe their coffee is also great and they have an Espresso machine as well. Brought my wife here for a Mothers Day brunch. It was busy. Food was brought out in a respectful amount of time. I ordered pancakes with a side of bacon, hashbrowns and two eggs. Everything was amazing. Pancakes need to be served with more syrup. One cup is nowhere near enough for three large hotcakes. My wife ordered the chicken Chilaquiles. They were amazing. We really didn't have a server check on us after our food was brought. That's an opportunity considering how busy it was there today.
google avatar

Yelp
Adorable little place on Ventura Boulevard with validated underground parking. Absolutely delicious food. Everything we tried was perfectly cooked and very tasty and the people who work there were all smiles. HIGHLY recommend giving Claudine's a try. New favorite breakfast spot!
google avatar

Deborah C.

Yelp
Family loved the brisket burrito but the French Toast was not soaked through properly before cooking so it was dry. Tres Leches sauce is of course delicious but the cooks need advice on how to make French toast. Ambiance is casual, not cute, French. Bakery service for cake and pastries was very very slow.

Elle J.

Yelp
Just lost a consistent customer--having delivery folks who text you in another language for you to have to use Google translate to understand then when items are missing from your order the phone just rings and rings unanswered back at the restaurant is BEYOND infuriating. Don't spend $100 for a family of four for this crazy service. Sweet butter, Aroma Cafe, Blu Jam...too many other options for this!
google avatar

Massoud E.

Yelp
Good food , easy parking. Pastries were excellent . House leveling manageable so you can speak normally and the people in your table can hear you.
google avatar

Calley G.

Yelp
This local spot is a hidden gem! They have great house made pastries and treats and create some of the freshest breakfast and lunch dishes in all of the valley! The service was pretty good, the chef/owner came out to check on people which was fun to see. There is a lot of seats inside when you walk in, along with cute tables on the sidewalk too. Took home some tasty treats, like the pop tart and a brownie. Ordered the croissant sandwich and some hashbrown. So fresh and delicious! Cooked perfectly! Can't wait to go back and try more!
google avatar

Daryl D.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for pastries and they have fresh pastries here. I had the cinnamon muffin crumble and I was like a kid again while eating it. I need to come back and try the food here. They have underground parking with validation.

Yelp
Don't be tricked by the new "shakshuka" on the menu!! I ordered it and was very disappointed to find that it didn't have any tomatoes and it wasn't served in a cast iron skillet - yes I know if I read the menu more closely I would've realized that, but I didn't have much time to read closely and I was so excited to see "shakshuka" that I just ordered it. Everything else was tasty and the ambiance was nice. Lots of families with young kids. We all liked the brisket breakfast burrito, the blueberry scone, and the coffee cake (it was a little moist!). The latte art was exquisite - a fish! Overall a good experience and I am sure to return, but I'm just super disappointed by the shakshuka.

Yelp
This is my secind visit at Claudine's and this review is based on that experience. Firstly, let me start by saying I'm so glad we gave this place another two tries. Our first attempt at eating here was rather uneventful. Food was average, service was good. My second attempt redemed the first. Food was good! Service too. I had the turkey scramble and a choc cookie. Yum. Third time I had Avocado Toast minus the Prosciutto. Please note as a non pork pr beef eater, they don't offer many opts to substitute the meat selection here. Upcharge for turkey and they don't offer turkey bacon as an opt. Otherwise this place is solid and will be placed on our rotation for nice breakfast and bruch spots in the valley area.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years i absolutely love the food the staff is incredibly friendly hard working and kind! I love the environment as well i feel so well taken care of and the food has so much life! I highly recommended!

Yelp
One of my go-to brunch spots! I also appreciate their care and attention to local and high quality ingredients. I usually order the Brisket Burrito but opted for the Chilaquiles, which came with a delicious salsa verde con pollo! I also recommend the Churro Tres Leches French Toast, it added the perfect sweet factor to brunch and I have no regrets. The Matcha Lemonade is also very refreshing twist to traditional lemonade. Honorable mentions: -You pay when you order, so you don't have to wait for a check! - Food is quickly served to your table, and when you're done you can just leave the dishes to be bussed later - Validate parking!! - Offer seasonal options and regularly update their menu - There's self-seating and you can get your own table water and cups from the drinks corner (where you can also get your own to-go containers!) All VERY convenient :)

The Salmon bowl was not only delicious but also served in a generous portion. The attentive service and cozy ambiance added to the positive experience. I also love that they have mimosas. It gets quite busy during lunchtime, and finding parking, whether at a meter or in their assigned lot, can be a bit challenging. Despite that, I'll certainly be returning.
