Claudio's Table Restaurant

Really cool place. Our waitress, Charlotte, was wonderful. All the staff were great. She is from Belgium. I had linguini with clams. Great. The manager very nice and helpful. For the first time in my life I saw a truffle in person. In two of the pictures it is the manager shaving grams off the truffle into a guest's plate. Thehave a scale and sell by the shaved gram of truffles. Very cool. Look forward to coming back.

Truly exceptional lunch at Claudio's Table in Palisades DC. Everything was delicious. The crumb on the pizza dough and the donuts (dusted with lemon sugar and served with a creme anglaise type sauce) were incredible. The sauces! The arugula salad with lemon oil dressing and shaved parmesan--I could eat that every day. Everything was perfectly seasoned and nothing too salty (pet peeve when salt is over used). Just the right amount for flavor to shine through. The panna cotta omg with real vanilla beans visible in the cream! Highest quality ingredients and generous helpings. Not one to fail to finish an individual pizza, I only ate half despite loving it! The chef owner is truly delightful and passionate about food and service and just as nice as can be.

Claudio's Table is a marvelous place to have a delicious meal in a warm, convivial atmosphere. The menu is thoughtfully constructed, so you're bound to find an appetizer, main course, and desert that you find enticing -- and your choices don't disappoint. Simply put, the food is scrumptious. One bite tells you that some thought and care has gone into developing and making whatever you ordered. And, the positive experience does not end there. My wife and I agreed that the service really made the evening. Thanks to Charlotte, we had a memorable experience. I have only one complaint: I live on Capitol Hill -- and wish that Claudio would open a sister restaurant here, so I don't have to travel to the Palisades to enjoy a fabulous meal at his Table -- or his fantastic sister restaurant, Et Voila! Regardless, if you enjoy carefully crafted Italian food, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Claudio's Table. I recommend earlier in the evening when things are quieter, but that's a matter of personal preference. No matter the time, it's a great place to spend your time.

🚨‼️Cannot say enough GOOD things about this restaurant. It is the freshest and most authentic Italian cuisine in the entire DMV area. Hands down. The dishes are unique and incredibly tasty. Claudio, the head chef and owner, is *enhanced* the experience by coming over to chat and there is a huge open kitchen so you can watch his culinary magic firsthand. OKAY ALSO the gluten-free homemade pasta … are you kiddding!?!! It was extraordinary, and truly every item on the menu was delicious. From the innovative recipes to the warm atmosphere, this place is a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine Italian dining experience. 💫💫💫

The food was good, not great. Seems like a very reliable place where everything is good but nothing is particularly interesting or flavorful. The service was very good and the staff was really friendly and attentive. My biggest complaint is they charged nearly $4 for four pieces of plain focaccia.

Hands down, Claudio's has become our favorite restaurant. We dined there lasts night and once again were impressed with every part of the experience. Service was attentive, though not hurried (did not feel like, in some restlaurants, they can't wait to get you finished and out the door). The manager was very friendly. The food continues to be excellent. We had some focaccia bread followed by two pastas: One was Pasta Calamata with clams, prawns and perhaps some other seafood. The second was the Cavatelli with sausage and rapini. Both were simply excellent and, again as opposed to some other restaurants, the pasta was cooked perfectly. Add to this a good wine list and you have an excellent restaurant with appropriately reasonable prices. Can't wait to return.

Disappointing - again. My second disappointing experience here - I wanted to give it a second chance and support my neighborhood restaurant, but not worth it. My son and I had pizzas and shared a salad to go. We picked up the pizza 10 minutes early to make sure it was hot out of the oven but the crust was soggy, the temp luke warm and didn't look appetizing when we opened the box - disappointing. For a college student who loves pizza - he agreed. Salad dressing was too salty. I had high hopes for a great experience.

I love this great Palisades neighborhood addition. The salad was fresh and crispy. The Bronzino was excellent. The vegetarian pizza had a delicious dough and the canoli was divine. I love this new restaurant and I plan on eating here often.

Finally made it here to the old Boathouse restaurant, now a great Italian restaurant. Went as a group and we were served by the owner. Lots of fun, and he and one of our group spoke a bit of Italian to each other throughout the meal. I had the Caesar salad. Solid but nothing special. But then we had the lobster special, a tiny half lobster on top of pasta, all in a rich briny sauce. Delicious and just a beautiful dish. We all split the bombolini ricotta donuts (fabulous), the panna cotta (fair), and the affogato (somewhere in between). Wine by the glass good, cocktails excellent. Service excellent with the exception of an awkward hostess who kept trying to take our plates away before we were done. Claudios Table is a great addition to the neighborhood!

I recently dined at Claudios Table (drawn there by rave reviews from friends), and was amazed at my experience. The place has an amazing ambiance with an open kitchen adjacent to the dining area. The staff are wonderful and helpful with suggestions of their favorites. We had great recommendations for our wine selection as well. We loved this place so much we came back with friends two days later. I just came back from Italy where I had the world's best pizza in Naples. The pizza at Claudios was on par with my experience in Naples. The dough was light and airy (including the crust). The cheese was creamy and silky unlike any I have had in the United States. We had several other items from the menu including the fried artichokes all of which were wonderful. So if you are seeking a trip to Italy, but can't afford the airfare, drive over to Claudios and live the experience! Gary F

What a cute spot. My bestie and I were in the neighborhood for a puzzling competition and needed to grab some lunch during break. We decided to take a walk and see what we find and we stumbled upon this cute place! We walked in and were greeted by the sweetest man. We were quickly sat and shown the specials which are written on a chalkboard on display for the entire restaurant. Even though it was relatively early, the pizza was calling my name and what a great choice! Honestly ,2 adults can share a pizza, but bestie and I like different things so we both got our own and had leftovers. It was sooooooooo good! I was so excited to even eat the leftovers the next day. The pineapple juice was also amazing and very sweet. I don't live near this place, but if I am ever back in the area I will be stooping here for sure.

It is such a cute place. A little bit difficult to park but street parking around the corner wasn't too terrible. Food-wise, I'm not too impressed by it. Vongole was too fishy, gnocchi alla sorrentina is classic so it can't be too terrible. Octopus was actually quite nice. I think this place isn't really for pasta but pizza was definitely a go-to. Server was very nice. We were group of 7 and he took care of us with amicable attitude with no-miss/mistakes on the menu. It was nice but I don't know if I would come back for the another try

Outstanding food! Calamarata with prawns, mussels, and clams was delightful. Delicious pizza and outstanding wine list. Tiramisu was soooo good! Amazing hospitality and service from all. Tables are close together but seem like the team did a great job with spacing people out. Simple decor but elegant. No complaints from us!

Definitely a nice new spot in the neighborhood. Lovely decor, although very loud inside so difficult to have a conversation when it's mostly full. Patio option is nice but will be much better when it's a real patio! I assume they have plans.... Food was excellent, the dorado/orata was outstanding, with a really nice mixed veg sautéed in olive oil and roasted garlic among other things. The lamb shank was falling off the bone, and thank you to the chef for making the entire dish dairy free. Food came out pretty fast too. I really like that they have pastas and pizza. But also really great other non-pasta dishes too. Great wine selection, and the cocktail I tried was excellent-the thyme and rosemary simple was intriguing Service was excellent, definitely recommend.

Great new Italian neighborhood spot and we can sorely use a bunch of good restaurants. Loved the Vitello tonnato which was balanced and light and fresh, though the flavors were fairly subtle. Nice beet salad and fried artichokes which were lightly battered and tender. Seafood special tubular pasta was spectacular and had all the right briny notes. Also loved another meaty casarecce with pork sausage and short and pork ribs was delicious though quite al dente. Solid cocktail game here and the tiramisu and bombolini were also really good. Friendly service. Do make a reservation as it is packed. A little loud inside but a great spot overall.

Came here specifically to try their pizza while on a #dcpizzatour and so while I have opinions on pizza, I generally write my reviews on the overall dining experience. Claudio's Table is a small neighborhood restaurant, so we made reservations for 7:15pm and rushed to get there timely. However, once there, we were encouraged to sit at the bar and wait...and wait we did. They were about 20-30 min behind schedule in seating us, and strongly encouraged we should just sit at the bar (a party of four, really?). What is the point of taking reservations if you don't actually reserve us a table in time? Poor management if you ask me. The bartender serving us drinks at the bar was not particularly friendly, helpful, or good at providing service. She took my order and then just left it at a distance on the counter. I wasn't even sure if it was for me or for a server to deliver to the table. What a rough start. Then we were finally seated around 7:45pm and by now a host of people have left. By 8pm the restaurant only had 3 tables left, which in my mind means I can finally have better service? Nope. Think again. The staff started cleaning up for the night and we struggled to waive a server, the manager was nowhere in sight, and we really ended up feeling like we were burdensome and should eat quickly and leave quickly before 9pm as the staff seemed to ready to leave by 8:30pm. Now, was the food good? Yes. It was delicious. Would I come back again? Absolutely not.

The food delicious and the service was kind and welcoming and the ambiance was cute. The eggplant sandwich was perfectly toasted and the taste marinated so well along with consistency in the texture. The texture of the salad was also perfect to experience the simple but Devine bland of shaved cheese large slices and balsamic on greens.

What a hidden gem! My boyfriend found this spot for our double date, and it did not disappoint. We had outdoor seating reservations for a Saturday night and arrived early, hoping to switch to indoor seating since it's getting colder out, but unfortunately it was too busy inside. We ordered the artichoke, various pastas and pizzas, and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. The restaurant has a charming, casual date night vibe, and I'd definitely come back. Tip: Arrive a bit early to find street parking and dress warm as they have no heat lamps.

Food was mediocre to very bad. Some of the practices were scammy and dishonest - such having you order sets but not disclosing what options are or after telling you the options are not available. The facility is not very clean and a bit of a clunky mess. They appear understaffed, there is only one server. Delivery is very slow. Would not recommend. Also extremely overpriced

Husband told waiter very allergic to cheese. Dish came out with cheese. Charged us for dish. He is not well. Will not return!

The food it's just OK nothing special to speak about. I know the restaurant has received a lot of hype, but don't believe everything you read. They just announced that they are now increasing the price of their Sunday lasagna because of demand . This just reinforces my opinion that they are just out for the mighty dollar.

We had an extraordinary dining experience at Claudio's Table last night. Not only was every mouthful a delight, but the wine was smooth yet earthy, and the service such that we felt like celebrities. We started with fried artichokes and pumpkin soup, and went on to share two different pastas, one with fresh clams, the other an exquisite bolognese. The service provided by Giovanni and Alex included decanting the wine, topping up the glasses and splitting the two pastas for us to share. Outstanding, Claudio. THANK YOU!

I loved the food. It's DELICIOUS!!!! I went several times and I always eat something different. The service is awesome. and the atmosphere is also great! I'll be back soon!

Update: The restaurant very kindly reached out to me and agreed that the $35 salad was not in line with what they wanted to offer. They have adjusted the price to $25 and re-printed the menus. Very nice outreach.

Had a delicious meal in this cozy spot on McArthur Blvd. Clearly a great addition to the neighborhood. I have always liked the sister restaurant Et Voila so was excited to try this one. Our group had the Osso Bucco, scallops with squid ink, carbonara and Cacio e Pepe. All of the dishes were delicious but the carbonara and Osso Bucco were likely the best. We started with salads and fried artichokes which were all plentiful and delicious. Canollis were good too. Portion sizes were just right - I left satisfied but not uncomfortable. Will definitely go back.

The food was incredible, with an intimate side patio, simply decorated. We had the caprese salad, branzino, pasta with guanciale, and two delicious desserts. Wines were complementary and the cocktails were strong. A+

I have been to Claudio's table a number of times now and I'm always happy I went. The food is always good- try the squash blossom special if it's available- the gnocchi with red sauce and mozzarella is amazing and the branzino seems to change seasonally but is always tasty! The tables are a lot close together and it can get noisy but it's a really great spot.

Place is really a great dining experience. The ambiance is nice, service is excellent, and food is excellent. Our branzino was a nice filet, served with a nice sauce over it and a wilted Swiss chard, kale and tiny crouton bed; overall a great dish. Also enjoyed the salads and the gnocchi. Worth a trip!

It is hard to decide which made our dinner experience worse, the food or the ambiance at Claudio's Table. To begin with, the restaurant has jammed in as many tables as could possibly fit in its fairly limited space. Not only were we uncomfortably close to our neighbors, but, due to a lack of acoustic insulation, we could hear several tables' worth of conversation better than our own. During COVID, we had avoided Et Voila! (Claudio's other restaurant) because of the packed in diners. Apparently, Claudio has determined to replicate this ambiance here. We ordered the vitello tonnato appetizer, the eggplant parmesan, the Casarecce Al Ragu Napoletano plus two glasses of an Italian wine. Vitello tonnato usually consists of very thin sliced meat covered by a light, creamy tuna-based sauce. Claudios vitella tonnato contained meat accompanied by a thick, white-ish lump of sauce and unidentifiable pieces of garnish. The pasta dish was overcooked, unsalted and generally tasteless. The eggplant parmesan did contain both eggplant and cheese, unlayered, and was served (without any accompanying pasta or other side dish) in its copper cooking pot. When we asked for bread, we were given three slices, for which we were charged $3.95. We were also given the explanation that "Italians don't eat bread." This meal cost $107.70.

New restaurant in the Palisades opened by the owner of Et Voila down the street. Like Et Voila, the food is impeccably done: very delicious. We had the pasta with the Neapolitan ragu, the margarita pizza, the pasta all vongole and the gnocchi. Also the grossini (warm and freshly made) and their version of Caesar salad were great. Very high quality and good sized portions. The service is attentive but not overbearing. The feel is casual: the decor is simple and not fancy, the plants in the window out front are plastic and no one is dressed up, it feels very much like a neighborhood place. The only thing that wasn't consistent with a casual neighborhood joint are the prices. However, that is pretty common for all restaurants these days. Overall, great addition to the neighborhood!

Not sure if this place was new, but if so it's a must try to people in the area! Our party tried an array of appetizers- their special of caprese salad, caesar salad, and octopus. All were delicious. I had the branzino and my bf had the ragu pasta. I tried a bite of his and was amazed. My branzino was also perfectly prepared- i savored every bite. Then had the vanilla gelato for dessert. Now THIS was outstanding. They make it fresh every day and the it shows through it's outstanding flavor! Super creamy and they are not shy about the portion. Overall a 10/10 meal! Will definitely return!

Disappointed. Had been excited to try this place. Ordered takeout and was underwhelmed. The arugula salad was a handful of chopped romaine (!). The bruschetta was a few grilled pieces of pita bread (not how it's done folks!) and some tasty enough dips. The Polpo was two tiny strips of octopus swimming in white sauce. I feel taken for a bit of a ride, to be honest.

I've been in a couple of times for a late lunch on the weekend and have sampled pasta and appetizers. All were excellent! The Arancini could have used more filling IMO, but the pastas were first-rate, as was the service. Recommended.

Great new addition to the neighborhood. The menu is not extensive but there are enough options. The food and service were excellent. Make a reservation, it was crowded, even on a Weekday night.

our food was subpar for the second time going there, so that's that. Tuna crudo was terrible, cut improperly and inedible--waiter didnt take it off bill either. Cacio pepe was a butter soup with some pasta in it. Pizza was soggy. Porchetta was the most disappointing--the skin was not crispy--thats the entire point of the dish!! Something has happened to this once 'looking up' spot. It'll be offering 2 for 1 specials by end of the year.

Great food and friendly service. My family all had pasta dishes which were all delicious! A real asset to the neighborhood!

Just finished eating at Claudia's table. A phenomenal experience for our family of six. Scott was our server and he did a phenomenal job. We had a margarita pizza, the eggplant Parmesan, the Cacio e Pepe, and the Negroni was amazing. We highly recommend this new Italian restaurant for anybody in the Palisades, Bethesda or DC area. We are coming back again in the next three weeks--already made the reservation while we were at the restaurant. Great job Maureen to you and your team!

Wanted to like it, and the service was good, and the arugula salad was good, as was the pizza, (although the crust seemed like it could have been crispier), but it simply isn't worth the prices. Although I suppose you could say that for every restaurant in DC, which is why I don't go out to eat much!

Tried it for the first time after reading spectacular reviews but were sadly disappointed. The anchovy appetizer, which was a special, tasted like the same anchovies we buy in the can and was served with nice crusty bread but the butter was cold and hard so it was difficult to spread. The croquettes with prosciutto were quite tasty but two contained hard, inedible pieces of gristle that unfortunately extinguished any pleasant memory of the dish. The eggplant parmigiana was average and indistinguishable from what you may get in the prepared food section at an upscale grocery store. The suckling pig was the only dish that lived up to the expectation we had from reading the professional reviews. Based on these reviews I expect we just caught the restaurant on an off night but disappointing nonetheless. On a positive note, the service was very attentive and high quality.

We wanted to love this place & were excited to get a reservation. The first impression was not great, we walked into a packed, loud restaurant (the acoustics are terrible!) with many disgruntled looking people hovering around the host desk. Twenty minutes later we got seated, & just like Et Violá, the tables are crammed together. On a brighter note, the service was excellent & the drinks/food came quickly..so quickly in fact, that we were done in 40 minutes. The food was tasty with portions on the small side. The pizzas looked great & another guest recommended the branzino. The menu is pretty limited & heavy on carbs. For 2 of us sharing the bruschetta, a pasta dish, eggplant parmigiana & 2 drinks, we paid just short of $100. It was OK, but nothing special.

I had cacio e pepe, may as well have been pasta with butter and pepper, no richness to it whatsoever. My friend had the gnocchi which was better but still pretty underwhelming. Had high hopes for this place, may try again at some point.

Delicious food and impeccable service! Such a great addition to our neighborhood! They have definitely listened to reviews and the noise level was much better than when first opened. Congratulations!

My family and I have always had a great dining experience at Claudio's Table. The Arancini and Polpo are spectacular. The pastas are exceptional but the Vongole & Casarecce are the stars. The Branzino and the Porchetta are so good too. And there's Pizza!! Best Canoli and Tiramisu in the DMV too. The service is impeccable, very friendly and always accommodating. Love the open kitchen concept and the bar seating is the place to be. You won't walk away hungry!

Had the best experience at this new spot. We had a Turbot which was incredible and a special saffron rissotto osobucco. All just perfect! An amazing addition to the neighborhood

We could not be more delighted to have another restaurant by Chef Claudio in our neighborhood! We've enjoyed the cacio e Pepe, multiple pizzas, the romaine salad (the yogurt dressing is fantastic), and the vitello tonnato (which is melt in your mouth amazing!). As with any new restaurant, there are hiccups but you can see how responsive the Chef and staff are to concerns - installing sound dampening panels, a curtain to block the draft by the door, etc. We are excited for our new neighbor and for many future meals here!

This is my second time at Claudio's table. Great food and very attentive service. I love the atmosphere in this restaurant. Can't wait to go back for more...Bellissimo.

I have gone to Et Voila dozens of times and was eager to try Claudio's Table. Last night my wife and I went with another couple. I had the ossobuco, which was a special of the day, and it was delicious. It was an ample portion and came accompanied by a good but not great risotto. I had a glass of very good Barolo. My wife did not like her eggplant and said the eggplant is better at Pines of Rome in Bethesda, which is a cheap but good restaurant. Tables are very close together and it is quite noisy. Our waiter was excellent.

My friend cautioned me against trying the place stating that the hostess was very rude and unprofessional; nevertheless, I decided to try this place with my family. We arrived a bit ahead of our 6:15 pm reservation time, the hostess refused to seat us despite the fact that there was an open table. She kept insisting that that table was reserved for a 6:00 pm party. However, 15 minutes later and while my kids were waiting outside in the cold, that table was still empty and the hostess still had not seated us. We had to leave and take our business elsewhere. So the restaurant lost the business of a 5-table top just because of the hostess' lack of professionalism. Neither I nor my friends and family would return to this place.

I'm giving this restaurant a meh. The place was absolutely packed when we arrived for a 7:30 reservation and there were about 15 other people standing in the doorway waiting for their tables with us. it took about 45 minutes before we actually got seated. I know scheduling reservations can be an Art but this was a bit of a fail. The wine list is actually very nice and our fried artichoke appetizer was really really good. I would not recommend getting a pasta. my cacio Pepe arrived seriously undercooked and crunchy. I did send it back and received a new plate after about 10 minutes. both my pasta and my dinner mates were swimming in so much sauce. It was almost like soup. Neither of us had a protein, so maybe that is the way to go at this place. The waitress was attentive, but she didn't inform us that the artichokes came with an arugula salad so we ordered an extra arugula salad when we didn't really need to. the cannoli were delicious, the place seems extremely popular with the neighborhood so this review is probably more for people who are on the fence about going to the palisades for dinner.

What an expensive and disappointing experience. The hostess did not acknowledge us as she talked on the phone. DO NOT SIT NEAR THE DOOR! I had to keep my puffy coat on because the cold air blasts every time a diner walks through the door. Our waiter had to confirm our drink order twice. My husband's entree was wrong so I had to start eating before he was served. We poured our own wine. The black truffle pasta was basically a heavy Alfredo with a gray substance grated on top with no discernible smell or taste of truffles. I ordered tuna crudo with nduja, which I thought was an odd combination, but wanted to try it. The tuna was bland and not enough nduja. I had to search for it. Also the plate was cluttered with garnishes of olives, parsley, etc., which made it hard to really taste anything. Used plates remained on the table. Not ready for prime time. We really wanted to love it.
