This laid-back spot offers massive servings of classic American fare, especially wings that keep fans coming back for more in a casual, sports-friendly vibe.
"When Clay’s Sports Cafe temporarily closed in 2016, fans lamented the fact they took with them some of the best wings in town. Thankfully, Clay’s and those wings are back in a new location in Sandy Springs. Clay’s doesn’t play favorites, so come here to relax and watch a few games, drink beer, and, of course, eat all the wings." - Henna Bakshi
"Clay’s Sports Cafe in Sandy Springs has been doling out some of Atlanta’s best wings since 1991. After temporarily closing in 2016 to relocate, Atlanta’s wing lovers rejoiced when the sports bar finally reopened in its new location a year later. Clay’s is back in the wing business — and some say, better than ever at it. Wings here range in heat from mild to hot, with flavors like lemon pepper, barbecue, teriyaki, honey barbecue, jerk, garlic parmesan, honey mustard, and ranch." - Mike Jordan, Henna Bakshi
"You’re here for the wings, so ignore the entirely forgettable room with well-worn booths lining the walls and TVs playing a wide array of whatever sporting event is in season. After a bite of a plump sauce-covered flat, we don’t really care about the semi-shabby digs or the other mediocre pub food on the menu. And there are 19 flavors to choose from, including honey mustard, jerk, and jalapeño. Dry-rub fans should opt for the lemon pepper staple or the more mild garlic parmesan. But we like to go sauce-y here with the fiery buffalo (just avoid getting it on your lips). " - demarco williams, juli horsford, jacinta howard
"Clay’s is one entirely forgettable room with well-worn booths lining the walls and TVs playing a wide array of whatever sporting event is in season. Most of the menu items are decent, standard pub fare like thick mozzarella stix and fries so loaded down with spicy Cajun seasoning we could hardly see the fries. But the one outstanding part of this Sandy Springs spot is their wings. Plump flats and drums come in 19 flavors like our go-to lemon pepper, hot honey BBQ, and jerk. We wouldn’t necessarily choose Clay’s to eat or even to watch a game (peep the best sports bars in ATL for better game day situations). But the wings are some of the best in the city, so we kinda have to keep coming back." - Juli Horsford
