I can only comment on the food, I had a friend that was going down there to pick up food to go he asked me if I wanted anything I said yeah please get me some crispy chicken or pork. Well I guess he doesn't know what crispy is because what he brought me was pork sold by the pound swimming in a pool of very sweet gooey not sour sauce with chunks of pineapple (which was the only good thing in the order) the rest of it was chunks of pork and mostly chunks of fat swimming in the gooey sauce easily mistaken for pineapple as it was the same color. I will try them again and order myself!

Roasted duck $33 was ok. The skin is on the chewy side but not too salty

OMG, tried their roast pork and it is out of this world delicious, crispy skin, juicy, so good! Will be coming back.

The food is good and cheap not gourmet quality but a great value. You can select two side dishes to go with rice or noodles, a beverage, and pastry and still get change for a Hamilton. What's better than that in this high cost city? I always enjoy the freshly roasted duck still steaming from the ovens when it is sliced to order and the barbecue pork is very tasty without being too saucy. Great value here. The dim sum in the back of the shop is good too. I takeout food here and have not been disappointed.

On days when being in the kitchen is a chore; Clement BBQ is a life safer. For a rice box with your choice of white, fried rice, or various fried noodle types, you get to choose two entrees from the cooked foods. All for $9.50. there might be an additional dollar or two for the occasional more expensive fare. It feeds two people easily. Great deal. Two meals and done. No leftovers.

Not the best BBQ pork buns I’ve had. Totally worth the price though.

Portions here are generous. There's a variety of popular Chinese entrees you can choose from you would usually find at Chinese restaurants. This place makes it convenient so you can get Chinese entrees to go instantly. Prices is here are very affordable with a two entree lunch box price that $7.25 + tax. Caveat is the quality of food is okay but nothing spectacular. I'm not sure if this is because the food has been made early and is left out the entire day or choice of ingredients. Anyway a local spa in the Richmond district if you're looking for a quick take out of Chinese food at affordable cost.

Pork buns, delicious

I was excited to hear that the bakery reopened after being shuttered due to a damaging fire a number of years back. Known for their BBQ pork buns I had an opportunity last week. I purchased 1/2 dozen. Just to let you know they were as good now as they were then. Plenty of BBQ pork stuffed into a soft baked bun. Definitely comfort food. They offer other dim sum items. However everything is posted in Chinese on a menu board posted above behind the counter. Located on a busy street with metered parking and nearby parking lots. Cash only.

My husband loves their barbecue plates here and this particular day he got a bunch of baos. They smelled freshly made and were very soft to the touch! They had a bit too much dough for him, but he's picky about bread. Lol I always eat his crust on pizza! Lol The Baos smell delicious and had a great flavor. Service was quick and fast, except the gentleman behind the counter seem to be working so quickly that he accidentally grabbed the food with his hands instead of the tongues. I noticed which sides he touched and didn't eat that portion since I'm somewhat of a germ-a-phobe, but everything was fine and looked normal since we've been here a handful of times.

Our go-to when we want take-out and great bang for your buck. The amount of food we split between 3 people and 1 takeout container for 10$ never ceases to amaze me. We were a bit daunted to order at first, but we got used to it over time and have our favorites by now like the char siu, chow fun and sesame chicken. It's takeout and cash only, so be prepared to have cash on hand. Highly recommend for a quick comfort food fix.

I wonder if this was more for marketing tho (it was only advertised in English). I want to know what the Chinese OGs have to say about this! After a fire in 2016, Clement Restaurant has re-opened. It's from the same owners as Clement BBQ and Xiao Long Bao on the same block. Open for take out only. No seating. M E N U Cantonese Bakery Staples (i.e. baos and tarts). They also sell SJB, noodle rolls, jook, and rice plates. CASH ONLY (for now). F O O D * Char Siu Bao ($2.85) // 3.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/yeyjfu25 Best value? Yes, their bao is the most meat heavy I've seen in the city with char siu busting through the seams. Best taste and execution? IMHO and the group consensus...No. In shrinkflation times, I shouldn't be complaining about too much meat but I want to be able to taste that savory sweet char siu against the fluffy soft bao. The thin bao layer felt more like a shell. Their filling is a mix of lean char siu and chopped onions so I found the flavor too oniony. I haven't been to every Chinese bakery in the city so I haven't found the "best" yet but I prefer the char siu baos from Good Mong Kok Bakery (Chinatown), Lung Fung Bakery (Outer Richmond), and Red House Bakery (Portola) - in that order. * Egg Tart ($1.75) // 3 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/25pceb6u - Egg white tarts (without yolks) also available Light, delicately flaky crust (not oily) with a very firm egg custard filling. No jiggle. It was bland and didn't have that subtly sweet eggy flavor. Ordering was done in Canto so it wasn't a language barrier. Not going to argue with auntie so we bought rice elsewhere. While cold, pretty solid dim sum style chicken feet that's meltingly soft. The steamed spareribs were savory and meaty but uneven in texture. Some pieces were tender while others were kinda tough. S E R V I C E All business. A M B I A N C E Takeout only. P A R K I N G Difficult street and residential parking. Overall, I haven't visited Clement Restaurant in over a decade and TBH, I don't remember how the food was (couldn't find my old review in the closed listing). Going off this one visit, it was decent for the city. If you're looking for a hella meaty char siu bao, Clement Restaurant will be your jam!

Airy, light filled and briskly run by one of the women who worked next door at their dim sum restaurant Xiao Long Bao, they reopened this location to offer a trifecta of great places for excellent takeaway Chinese. This restaurant specializes in buns, especially baked BBQ pork buns which really ARE the "best in the city". They also have egg custard tarts that are delicious and lightly sweet cakes ("lil sweet") that are airy like angel cake. Service is fast, friendly and have your cash ready though credit cards will be accepted after their opening.

Curry buns alone get 5 stars and have been waiting several years fo them to reopen. Their jook and Chinese donut are special. Shhhhh!

SO GLAD THIS PLACE IS OPEN AGAIN! Delicious dim sum - especially their curry bao! Looking forward to seeing the other half of this place open as well.

Summer in the city in the Inner Richmond on Clement street just got hotter and it's full of the best Dim Sum in 2024 in San Francisco . The block between 7th avenue and 8th avenue on Clement has just cemented the best Dim Sum duo and next door neighbors in San Francisco: Xiao Long Bao and the new undisputed self proclaimed best Pork Bun in town, The Clement Restaurant. I could see people of all ages with excitement lining up during the lunch hour on a Saturday . I could also hear the fandom from the newly arrived Outside Lands Music Festival tourists in line. The vibe felt like an unofficial Clement street Block Party. I would disagree with The Clement Restaurant self proclaimed best Pork Bun in town. I would say the best Pork Bun in the City because San Francisco is a City and a County and far from being a town. The batch of pork buns , I received was straight out the oven and it was savory and all around tasty. The Clement Restaurant also has some really good egg tarts (not the best in city) Once you arrived and tried The Clement Restaurant on Clement, Also try Xiao Long Bao just walk eight steps to the left on the cement

This place is takeout only and CASH only, very generous portions and very affordable. I came here around 1:30pm on a Saturday and there was a short line. The staff are helpful and super efficient. As you can see in the photo the food is OVERFLOWING. I don't remember exactly but both rice boxes together were under $25 which is extremely affordable in SF. Both BBQ items were great, super flavorful and rich, especially the pork that was super juicy with really crispy skin. 4 stars because the duck was a bit too fatty for me, a few of the duck pieces were just skin and fat, but overall still amazing BBQ. I also loved the cabbage, it's cooked well but not too mushy, and they soak up all the meat juices‍ Great neighborhood spot that I will frequent!

Quality/Quantity - Got two lunch plates, both with chow fun - Chow fun was tender and decent flavor. One plate had tofu and the other had fish. The tofu was silky and smooth. The fish had a slight jalapeno kick, did my piece of fish touch something else? Personally, I like the kick. Very generous portions - Overflowing, see picture. The other plate had two different types of chicken wings, deep fried and soy sauce - Both chickens were cooked well and of good size. Large plump pieces, tender meat in the center. The soy sauce chicken flavor was really strong, they must have boiled this for a long time in some strong soy sauce, but the meat was still both tender and firm. He gave me 3 pieces of each chicken. Yet the chow fun soy sauce flavor was NOT overwhelming. It is usually the other way around. Atmosphere - Take out restaurant. This location has gone through different versions of this type of business. I can see their bakery section suffering in business...? Hopefully I am wrong. Street parking, good luck. I walked (over a mile) in the rain... My wife took the car and left me, LOL. Open 6 days a week from 8am to 4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Service - Good service, except the person helping me did not speak english. I had a really hard time ordering, but it ended up being okay because I got everything I ordered. Price - $10.25 each including tax. $20.50 total. Very good value. Owner Comment - Have you been here since 2006? And/or gone through a few ownership changes but keeping the same name?

Clement BBQ , and it's BBQ , Steam Table & Baked Goods have been a Richmond District staple for Decades. The combo plates of a Starch & 2 Mains cost about $10 with Tax which is a very fair price ( though it was $5 when I first discovered them) The food is well prepared and the flavor profiles recognizable. The staff is patient enough and always efficient. If hosting a surprise group they are a great option to grab food to go. The shop is basic , but it's a takeaway shop your not going to be eating here.

To be perfectly honest, I'd been debating for a while on how many stars to give this place. Based on the few pieces of Roast Pork and Roast Duck that I tried, the food here just wasn't good. However, despite how badly a large part of me wanted to give just one star, it felt harsh, given the relatively positive reviews from Yelp friends and the fact that they have so many other dishes that may (or may not) have been better. As of this past weekend, though, when I happened to look in as I walked by one night, the decision was essentially made for me. Unless giving a bad review based on seeing RATS running amuck EVERYWHERE is too harsh? Look, I'm not so naive to think restaurants and eateries are immune to rat and/or mouse problems. However, I'd like to think (pray?) that they're limited to the trash cans or running on the floor. In other words, not on countertops and surfaces where food and utensils sit. Never knew how unsettling it could be to watch four rats running around and playing on the floor while two more scamper around on the counter next to utensils and drink from random little pools of water. So much so that I'm not even sure I should post the photo... DISGUSTING.

This restaurant has finally reopened from the fire they had about 8 years ago! They're slowly adding to their menu but they currently have baked buns, flaky pastries, new porridge station, pan fried pork dumplings, and rice plates in the steamer. Food highlights: -BBQ pork buns - filled with meat, onions, and sauce. Must get! -Pineapple buns - people love their pineapple buns and will get boxes of it! If you see it, get it. -Fried Curry beef bun - this is one of my favorites and only this spot offers it. -Egg tarts - no need to wait in line at Golden gate bakery, give these a try. -Bbq pork flaky pastry - delicious flakiness filled with bbq pork. Can't go wrong with any bbq pork items! There is lots of variety here so there is something for everyone. Service/Ambiance It's a quick takeaway spot so there are no seats. Order at the register and they pack everything up for you efficiently. There might be a short wait for the porridge cause they make it fresh to order with the toppings. Will definitely be back soon to try their new rice plates and porridge. Also, always a good idea to grab some buns and treats for the week too! So glad they're back!

A gem along Clement with so many options to choose from for Chinese food. Definitely my go-to for Chinese deli and combo plates, service is curt and quick. I would recommend knowing what you want ahead of time, the staff moves quickly but with items to-go by the pound or as a plate you can't go wrong!

The food here is really good. Me and my girlfriend ordered the salt and pepper shrimp and also ordered the coconut bun which was really good. My mom recommended me this place and it did not disappoint. The service can be a little slow, but ambience feels like a little small restaurant with a little small bakery. The downfall is that there is no tables and you can only get your food here to go, which is another downfall, especially if you're coming from around different neighborhoods.

Friendly Service...Best baked char siu bau! Best pineapple bun! Absolutely delicious.

In terms of Chinese BBQ, this isn't the best that I've had but the portion sizes for the amount of money you're paying is awesome and the food is overall good as well. I love the nice elasticity and chewiness to the chow fun and like the light amount of wok hay in their fried rice. The sweet and sour pork is great here, reminds me a lot of the ones I had in Hong Kong at a much friendlier price point. The sesame chicken was a little overcooked but I did enjoy the flavor of it, though I thought it could've been slightly sweeter. The roast pork is fairly tender with a good amount of crisp skin. I feel it could've been marinated a bit more for some extra flavor but still enjoyed it. Similarly the roast duck could've used some more marinating. Both had parts that felt a bit overcooked, but when I got some nice crispy parts near the cuts with more fan, it was quite delicious. Overall, quick and cooking is done well. Given the good value, I would visit here again

The best baked BBQ pork buns in the city, IMHO! They're chock full of tender lean cha siew that's not fatty at all! They might be pricier than some other places ($15 for half a dozen), but I think you get what you pay for. The seasoning is perfect and the bun itself is delicious. The amount of filling makes for a perfect balance between bread and filling. One is probably enough for a light eater, but I always like to have one and a little bit more. Probably if I let my food settle before reaching for that extra little bit, I'd be perfectly satisfied with the one! I also got a Chinese tamale (joong). It was $5, not the advertised $4.50 as printed on the sign in the shop. It had peanuts (LOTS of peanuts!), pork belly, mung beans, lop cheung, and a very tiny piece of salted egg yolk with the customary sticky rice. It was a pretty good size and hefty, but it seemed not to have as much flavor as some homemade ones I've had. Not bad, though, if you're craving joong! Just reheated things in the microwave and had a quick lunch! Easy peasy!

Finally reopened after years of plywood frontage from an unfortunate fire, sometime around before or after (don't remember exact but...) near to covid. Now reopened version has some improvements but also omissions which are significant given what i liked most in the before. Specifically char siu bao are quite good, but as to the claim of best in the city, wellllll... i won't say that for now. what's not here anymore or at least so far is the incredible steamed combo bun, about the size of a softball and filled with everything left over from yesterday plus half a boiled egg, various kinds of edible offal and a very filling $2 lunch. the bbq pork bun is baked, thin crust, generously filled with pork, but unfortunately too much onion (none would be my preference but anyway) and I don't like all that red food coloring on the pork. For whatever minor defects, it is far and away better than the same item two doors down at Xiao Long Bao, which serves a kind of sloppier version, too doughy and again overly supplied with onion. At this point my favorite is still the Lung Fung bakery on Clement and about 20th, though the buns there have less filling. What Lung Fung does do is baked Nai Wong Bao which is becoming rarer and decidedly less good around the city. I'll go where are the two available. But Clement Restaurant is just three doors away from the best fishmonger in the area, Wing Hing Seafood, and two out of three ain't bad.

This place is banging for the place point you get so much food it can be 1.5-2 meals. I believe we paid $10 or something per box. Lot of variety to choose from as you can see from my picture. One star knocked off because the people working are rude

Great Chinese BBQ place; same owner of Xiao Long Bao. Pretty decent char siu (Chinese style BBQ pork); and roast duck. Their roast pork is good, but I'm partial to Filipino lechon, so nothing else will compare. Yes, I said it and it's my opinion. Slightly more expensive than the other two Chinese BBQ in this area, but worth it.

**Review for the BBQ pork buns only** Wifey works in the area and while I was dropping her off work one day, she wanted to grab BBQ pork buns from here since we beat traffic and she was half an hour early for work. She said the BBQ pork buns here were delicious and popular. Good news, bad news. The good news: They have a few dozens on a rack currently being baked. The bad news: They wouldn't be ready for another 15 minutes. I dropped her off work and returned here. I ordered a dozen BBQ pork buns fresh from the oven and they smelled so good. I couldn't wait any longer and I grabbed one from the box. I immediately understood why as I took my first bite. The outer crust had a nice layer or crispiness that acted like a shell. The interior of the bread was warm and soft like a pillow. Then the pork filling inside was a mixture of sweet and savory goodness that was packed like a can of sardines. My...they surely do not skimp on the fillings. I was impressed and I finished a whole bun before I could drop off the rest at my wifey's work. I've come here a few times since and I recommend you get here early to get a fresh batch straight from the oven if possible. If it means waiting for them, the better. Hot BBQ pork buns is worth the wait.

Food is flavorful and reasonably priced. Service is fine. Go early or your favorites may be gone.

On a friend's recommendation, I drove from the East Bay to San Francisco specifically to get their baked pork buns. While the buns are a bargain at the price of $2.75/bun, I was disappointed in the amount of filling, as it seems that they are being more skimpy with the meat than previously shown in pictures. I ended getting two dozen to freeze for quick future meals for $33/dozen. To check if the first bun was a fluke, I had another bun later in the day and that one had a large air pocket and even less filling. Still for the price, it's not a bad deal and the bun was tasty and filling.

I passed by this spot a few times but the line was always a little long. Today was no different, but I had time to spare, so I opted to wait and check out the food. Plus I saw that they were bringing out fresh food as well, as I was peeking through the window. The line moved fairly quickly and for $7.50, I got a big plate of take out! The guys working behind the counter basically just shoveled the food into the take out trays, not really bothering to measure out the portions or anything... The food was good, no complaints from me. All the food was fresh and I saw they even sold dim sum inside as well...so I'll be back to give that a try. Credit cards for over $10

Best baked bbq pork bun (char siu bao)! This review is only for the pork bun. Big, no skimping on filling, great tasting and balanced, sweetness, and a little onion, which gives a nice subtle crunch for a unique texture, this is one of the best pork buns I can remember eating in recent memory , I have eaten a lot of dim sum and pork buns in this town and this is easily in the top three and may be the best. I cannot think of a bao that is better off the top of my head. We ordered 70 for a party, and almost every single person commented on how good they were. And these are not undiscerning newbies. These are seasoned veteran Chinese food eaters. I haven't eaten any of the other food at this place in many many years, but will come back just for the Char siu bao for sure!

What can I say.... I love this place! Service is quick and food is delicious! Ambiance is nothing impressive - but that's the point, quick, easy, and delicious! Do not skip on the Bbq pork!

Came here as I was craving the Basked BBQ pork buns. This time I ordered 8 and decided to try the hot food section. I saw they had roasted pork belly hanging on a hook. I asked for 1 lb and received giggles from the staff. Not sure if that was a tiny amount or if they had a joke amongst them. The total for the 8 Baked BBQ pork buns plus 1 1/2 lbs of chopped pork belly (they of course added half a lb from my requested 1 lb. The total was $41.00. Buns were $2.50 each, so I'll assume the 1 1/2 lbs of crispy pork belly was $21.00 ($14/lb). The pork belly was not salty, but it average. id go back only for the Baked Pork Buns. The rest of the hot foods on the steam table looked kinda sketchy, even though a few ppl were in line. Still a tiny shop with boxes of inventory in the customer area. Some woukd say somewhat messy looking.

Overall 4.5 stars. Really good char siu baked buns. They are 4" in diameter and filled with delicately seasoned BBQ pulled pork and chunks of onion. The meat tastes very fresh, very flavorful and not too sweet; the sauce is minimal but without a gummy, cornstarchy texture. The buns are light and buttery, and have the texture of a tangzhong base. One bun makes a delectable savory meal. The store is a Chinese deli with lots of other takeout foods. On this day, we also bought some lo mein - pretty good. But the BBQ buns were clearly the star. Highly recommend.

Oh my word... Found this place on accident. Parked right in front waiting for someone and kept seeing a consistent line in front. So I went in and got a few of their amazing portioned items. BBQ pork (Char Siu) : Wowzers!! I LOVE IT!! One of the best ones I've had in the city. It's perfectly sweetened, flavored, and juicy. The meat is not dry at all and pretty tender. Roast Duck : it was pretty amazing itself...I don't normally like duck (too fatty). This duck though was just perfect with the meat/skin/fat ratio. Again, so juicy, tender, and flavored! Pork fried rice : got the jumbo to go. It was a bargain. They do NOT skimp you on the meat. Every bite had a chunk of char siu in it!! So good. TARO PASTRY : MUST GET!!! It's pricey but worth it. I'm not a fan of taro but this little guy was so ... Man I'm salivating thinking about it. It's well flavored, really really dense (heavy with the massive amount of taro), perfectly made, and crispy/flaky on the outside. The amount of skin/flake around the taro was just right. Not too much dough. I'm coming back

Stopped by here with family over this past weekend and we picked up char siu and char siu bao, which are both their specialties. This is our usual place to go to when we visit our grandparents in the city. The quality of their food has been consistent for the several years we've frequented. We haven't tried anything else from here, but definitely visit if you want your meat cravings satisfied.

The roast pork was average but staff had dishonest business practices. I asked for 1 lb and they packaged 1.7 lbs which had a bunch of bones.

This is still one of the best prepared foods of all Chinese cuisine. We had bought nearly all of Clement Chinatown with us on our recent travels into Utah to visit my father. We bought everything that we could possibly needed eat the first few days of our visit. We had feast few night dinners at home Bak Gem Gai, roast duck, soy sauce chicken all of them came with the special sauces. Everything was tasty delicious. This is one of favorites places for one stop shopping.

Got the bbq pork and the bbq pork buns. Bbq pork buns were good. A little more expensive compared to other places but for the amount of meat they put in the bun compared to the dough ratio was definitely worth it. If I'm in the area, I'll be getting them again!! Bbq pork was good. Has it at home with noodles and with fried rice. Yummy!

First off, usually, parking is difficult in this area, but today, it was too bad. The place is small but the customers were doing their best to socially distance. Only two customers go in at any given time because of the space. Now for the food. I ordered the two item combo. There are lots of dishes to choose from and they pack it in! It was more than enough for me that I had it for lunch, dinner, and lunch again. LOL. I ordered BBQ, of course. I had the roast duck and roast pork. Both were quite flavorful, if not a bit salty. Definitely goes well with freshly cooked white rice. Overall a solid place but the quest continues for the best Chinese BBQ in the Bay.

Lots to choose from. The combo box of food is the best deal. You can pick noodles or rice with two entrees. They have sweet and sour pork and orange chicken. Sometimes they have fish, but it sells out fast. They have two kinds of wings. You can get BBQ pork separately or roast pork or roast duck. Scope out what you want while in line. They want you to order quickly when you get to the front of the line. They have many dishes to choose from. Worth giving it a try!

Baked BBQ Pork Bun -- Delicious!!! One bun costs $2.50 but it's a sizable amount and the meat filing is just right, not sweet and good cuts of meat. They accept credit cards but it's a $10 minimum charge so bring some cash or buy several buns.

I was driving from Santa Cruz back to Santa Rosa and stopped by Clement BBQ. Got 1 whole roast duck and asked them to chop it up. Also picked up some mixed vegetables, chow mein, a joong, and 4 egg custards. The roast duck was large, not too fat, and very meaty. I've had roast duck from other places as this one is really good. The mixed vegetables were a bit greasy but cook just right. The chow mein could have used more veggies as it only had a small bit of cabbage. Joong was very good with lots of filling unlike some joong I've bought elsewhere with mostly rice. Filling was an egg, lop chong, and peanuts. The egg custard was very good with a thick and tasty crust. The next time I'm passing through SF, I'll have to try their dim sum.

Pros: Roast duck is crispy and tasty. The sauce is tasty. Cha sha bao great, very filling, meat inside is good quality. Customer service is actually pretty good for a Chinese take out place. The customer in front of me was a non-Asian, non Chinese speaker and the employee explained things to her. Clean. Negatives: Sold out of a few things when it was only 12:30. Noodles were bland.

The roommate was in the area running an errand when he decided to grab us dinner from Clement BBQ. He stopped by to get takeout on Tuesday, January 15th around 4:45pm. *Fried rice with BBQ pork and Mixed vegetable *Roast duck *BBQ pork bun *Egg tart I believe everything listed above ended up being around $20. I actually wanted dim sum (you know, the traditional ha gow, siu mai, etc), but they were out, so I asked for Guei Fei Chicken. Unfortunately they were out of that as well, so I settled on half a roast duck. The duck was tasty. Definitely a comfort food as I had this a lot growing up. The egg tart was meh. I like the ones with a nice flaky layered crust. This one was more of a pie shell with a slightly cakey texture. The filling was nice though. Creamy and eggy. Come early in the day if you want dim sum. By the time the roommate got here, they were sold out.

This is a simple, fast and great price Hong Kong style cafe with take out prefer place to satisfy your dim sum or chines food craving. 1) Great location to see from the Main Street,but as for parking, it can be very challenging depend on the time of the day. All parking is Street parking. 2) Food: taste good, quality is average , freshness of the food was ok. The food storage pass the health inspectIon. 3) Price: The price is great. Very competitive. If you are on budget then this is aa go to place to get your fill with min cost and it doesn't hurt your pocket. 4) Service: The staffs are friendly. But they tend to be friendlier if you speak their languages. 5) Decoration: if you are looking for fancy decoration or 5 stars restaurant service then this is not your place. But if you want a good food. Then you come to the right place. Go Foodie

Thank you Yelpers for alerting me to this place. I picked up a whole roast duck which was fantastic. Lots of moist lean meat meat and crispy skin. Based on pictures and reviews I got 6 Cha siu Baos. They were the largest Baos I've ever had. Packed full of juicy Cha siu. Incredible flavor. I also had the curry beef bao. The dough was sweet and the curry light and beefy. This is definitely my new "go to " duck and take out place. The service was fast and friendly.

Usually I roll into Inner Richmond with one destination in mind, Good Luck Dim Sum but this time I needed some roast duck too. I checked Yelp to see what was nearby and Clement BBQ popped up. When I got there I was impressed with all the tasty looking food on offer and the great prices. Service was friendly and fast. I ordered half a duck, which they cut up for me, a half pound of roast pork and a small container of sweet and sour pork. The food was amazing! The duck was meaty and flavorful but not too fatty. The pork was juicy and delicious. The Sweet and Sour Pork was crunchy/chewy and sweet, a perfect guilty pleasure. I now have a new stop on my trips through Inner Richmond, see you soon Clement BBQ!

I like this place. It ain't fancy and it is as clean and tidy as any of the local Chinese BBQ and dim sum joints in SF - but the roasted sweet pork is fresh and hot and damn tasty. $11/lb is up a few dollars since the pandemic but hey - still delicious and glad these folks weathered the damn COVID storm ! Get their pork. Thank me later !

I had my daughter pick up a whole roast duck with some steamed buns. What they gave her was the bony bits and pieces of dark meats and necks without the meaty breast. Disgusting and dishonest! Never going back !

The recent change in business hours is a big disappointment for people like myself who like to stop by and grab a take-out dinner after work! It would be nice if they at least stay open till 5:00pm, preferably 5:30pm. Perhaps they're opening earlier to cater to the breakfast group, but that leaves out those who need a quick dinner after a day's hard work! Moreover, there are already several other takeout breakfast vendors on Clement Street. Yes, there's another takeout restaurant on Clement Street, but their food quality is not as good.

Tried the roast pork and bbq pork and both were good. The staff was nice and patient with me when I couldn't decide on which cut of roast pork to buy. The roast pork has less of the five spice powder so you taste more of the pork. The other cooked foods looked good but I didn't try any of them. Next time, I think I will try the fried wings.

Right when I came in, a line formed. They give big portion and it is worth the price! I recommend getting the Roasted Duck and roasted pork. Too bad I was on a budget, I would've gotten soy sauce chicken as that's my childhood dish made by my mom.

Three words - greasy, bland and rotten. We've all had our share of greasy Chinese food, but have you ever had greasy bland Chinese food? It was a first for me. My sis did catering, so she got trays of food - fried rice, char sui chow mein, veggies, ho fun, and fried chicken. I was first in line for food, full of excitement until I tried the food. All of the dishes were extremely greasy and bland. I mean come on, Panda Express would have tasted so much better and maybe cheaper?! I don't care if Pandas food is prepackaged or even precooked. Okay, so food wasn't great, my sis had leftovers after her party. I had promised her that I'd take some food home. Well, since the food tasted so bad, I took a small bowl of fried rice home. The next day, I took out the fried rice and lifted the Saran Wrap only to be met by a rotten stench like the smell you get when you get a whiff of a trash can or the smell of NYC underground subway on a hot humid day. Granted that the food did sit in the hot sun during the 3 hour party and also sat on the kitchen counter after the party for another 3 hours, but still, you won't have this type of smell unless the food was rotting for days! I read the reviews and realized that it's quite common. So I thought I'd add that if you are poor and must eat low quality food, try to finish their food by day 1 because if you don't, you'll experience homeless food the following day. And might I add that I actually ate the nasty leftover fried rice trying to be a trooper and not have to trash the food - mostly because if I trashed it, I'd have to take the trash out, so I became the trash can and ate it. Bad decision because my upper lip and mouth smelled like the rotten food for a couple hours, no matter how much water or snacks I kept eating. You've been warned. Good luck!
