What to Eat at Climate Pledge Arena During Kraken Games - Eater Seattle

"Climate Pledge Arena, the home of the Seattle Kraken, is named by Amazon and known for being climate-focused. It has a fully electrified setup and a net zero carbon certification from the International Living Future Institute. Their food program focuses on sustainability, using local ingredients to reduce emissions, and make items in-house. Executive Chef Molly DeMers and her team are responsible for crafting everything from scratch, including salsas and tortillas. The venue offers impressive tacos, especially noteworthy for stadium fare, and a variety of pork dishes such as pork belly cinnamon roll. Additionally, it caters to different dietary needs with plant-based and gluten-free options. Outside concessions include Din Tai Fung, Just Poke, and Metropolitan Grill." - Harry Cheadle

Rebuilt Key Arena Shows Off Proposed Fancy Restaurant - Eater Seattle

"There is still no name yet for the NHL Seattle team planning its 2021 debut — but its eventual home seems to be progressing. New design renderings show what seven areas might look like inside the New Arena at Seattle Center (the rebuilt Key Arena), including several devoted to food and drink. Specifically, there’s a fancy-looking bistro called the Metropolitan Club, which will be accessible only to those who purchase premium tickets. There will also be a food hall called the Mount Baker Club and two separate areas serving craft beer from local breweries. The Oak View Group — an investment company leading the charge on the nearly $1 billion project — released the renderings, with five of the seven spaces classified as “premium.” The two areas accessible for around 1,300 general-ticket holders on the upper level of the arena are the food hall and the Space Needle Club, which will offer views of the iconic building and serve cocktails. Oak View Group CEO Tim said the clubs are designed to be tucked away “so they don’t disrupt the culture of the fans in the [rink].” The suites and other associated spaces shown in the renderings represent around 20 percent of all seating options at the arena. There are still no new details on specific food and drink offerings, although a designer at the architecture firm behind the seven spaces mentioned to the Seattle Times that the food hall would be a “pop-up experience,” suggesting that the vendors may rotate regularly. The arena won’t just be geared toward the NHL Seattle team, but it will also be the new home for the Seattle Storm, as well as a live concert venue, so versatility should be key." - Gabe Guarente

I love it here! Such a well designed arena. The employees are all friendly for the most part. The food is typical to an arena with the exception of the premium areas. There you will find some local staples like Ballard Pizza and others. There really is no bad seat but its all dependent and on the event. There is stroller check with guest services. Elevators for accessibility, a sensory room, feminine products if you need just ask they also have diapers and sensory bags. Guest services is the heartbeat. Bring an empty water bottle and your clear bag and everything will be good. No large bags unless medical or for baby. Nursing moms you have a couple options a pod or a room. First aid they got you. Just go and enjoy the arena, but please no smoking or vaping.

We ended up making an impromptu visit to Climate Pledge Arena to support the WNBA, and I’m so glad we did! First time at the venue, and I was really impressed. It’s clean, modern, and has such a great atmosphere. The layout and design make the space feel spacious, and the vibe throughout the game was fun and energetic. Our seats were good which gave us a full perspective of all the action. To top it off, the Seattle Storm got the W, which definitely made the night even more memorable. It was a last-minute decision, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience— and looks like a nice venue/ arena to check out other events.

Google
Home of the Seattle Storm and Kraken and potentially the Supersonics when the NBA expands. I heard they already have NBA locker rooms in anticipation of the day this occurs. We found parking near Dick's which was also our dinner spot after the Storm game. The halftime entertainment featured dogs running laps on the court. The arena was nice and cool on a hot summer day with the fans blowing inside the arena. We sat in section 3 which only has one way in as a bar blocks the other side.

Google
This place was awesome for a concert venue! Also super easy to get to via public transport! Great seats all around. It stayed nice and cool in there. Food choices were limited compared to a Kraken game, but still good. Also had great selection of ciders!

Google
Here’s a Google Maps review (300 characters): Incredible arena! Modern, clean, and super eco-friendly. Great views from every seat and an electric vibe during Kraken games. It’s the perfect place to enjoy hockey and a show! Loved the high-tech food ordering and fast lines. Easy access via the monorail too. A must-visit for sports fans and concertgoers alike!

Google
We came here a couple years ago for a Muse concert and returned last week for Papa Roach, we have 3 more shows scheduled for this summer. Accessibility has been pretty good, i walk with a cane and i have plenty of room to get through walk spaces. My recent trip i didn’t use the restroom and i don’t recall if i did on the previous visit. I think it’s really cool that the escalators run one direction before the show and opposite after. I will say ease of entrance to venue this one is like my top 2. I also appreciate that when you attend an event here public transportation is free. So that saves on sitting in traffic or finding parking. Food and beverages have more than enough options.

Went in for a game between Seattle Storms and Minnesota Lynx. The restaurants are all good (fair price), the toilets are super clean. The staff is very helpful and a beautiful space needle view. I had fun. And oh the Storms won the game

Google
Climate Pledge Arena is a great place to watch a hockey or basketball game. It's an incredible venue for all sorts of shows. Even the "nosebleed" seats feel almost on top of the arena floor and offer great views. It also has great acoustics. Everything there is compostable or recyclable. After every event they have a crew that makes sure everything goes to the right place. Staff is friendly and always ready to help. On top of that if you didn't want to worry about parking, your ticket is also a said bus pass. There are a bunch of buses that stop order the arena

Yelp
Made it here with my friend to watch the NJ Devils take on the Seattle Kraken. It was my first visit and was happy to see some NHL action even though not a huge hockey fan. It was a decent crowd, and the Devils won 3-2. The concessions staff were friendly and getting through security and up to our seats was easy, just how I like it. I didn't walk around the arena to take in the architecture but it's nice and looks small outside but it's surprisingly big inside. Apparently, the arena name isn't just for show. "Our goal is to be the most progressive, responsible and sustainable arena in the world. It might sound ambitious, but that's the point. We aren't named after a corporation. We are named after The Climate Pledge, founded by Amazon and Global Optimism in 2019, which is a commitment from companies globally to be net zero carbon by 2040." we'll see how that all goes, but it's nice to have an arena at Seattle Center for games and concerts. Now if they can just get some NBA Basketball back here...

Yelp
I attended a recent Kraken game at Climate Pledge. It's the only time I have been there so it was exciting to finally see this place. Navigating the place was pretty simple and everything appeared very clean. Like others have said, I wasn't that impressed with the food/beverage options. We didn't need parking but the lot across the street is huge.

Yelp
Attended the Kraken v. Canucks game last night. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the experience immensely. This is my favorite hockey arena. First, it was so clean and all staff were helpful. The crowds were easily moving, no pushing or shoving. What a refreshing experience! The food selection is top notch. Mister Softee and a Deschutes Black Porter? Yes, please. My husband enjoyed the salmon burger. Next time we want to try the sit down Moet and Chandon restaurant. The suites looked really nice. Catering was overflowing and staff seemed to be very attentive. Seats were great in the upper section. There were tons of giveaways. Fans were easy going, could have done without fighting on the ice but NHL refuses to severely cut down on that. So, yeah. Bus dropped off and picked up right in front of the stadium. Easiest ride from lower First Hill and all for a mere $5.50/round trip. See website for details and tickets.

Yelp
Went for our first Kraken game and had a great time! There were plenty of food options. It's a big stadium so staff and security were very helpful. It's less than a ten minute walk from the 5th Ave N. Garage parking.

Yelp
y'all, I was served raw chicken :( I grabbed a basket at the coors light mountain market near section 213 & paid about $18 for a 3pc chicken tender basket with fries, rushed straight to my seat to catch the Shane Gillis stand up and started eating this in the DARK. Good thing I'm already paranoid about inspecting my food.. I used my phone light after a few too many bites & confirmed my suspicions. I was able to go back & exchange for a new tray, but I hope management will see this to take food safety more seriously and a warning for customers to beware... pray for meeeeee

Yelp
First time here and I can't wait to come back This arena is a vibe !!! Very organized Well constructed Tons of bars and restaurants and a lot of self serving stations that makes it easier to just get your item and check out The Decore is amazing Every one is so nice and accommodating And the best part is, is that THE CLIPPERS WON

Yelp
We went to see Deftones. Entry was very easy and conveniently located. The open areas outside of the seats is very large and enough space for everyone walking around and taking photos. Lots options for food. We did not like how narrow and steep the seating was. Next time we will have to purchase better seats.

Yelp
Came for the first time to watch a Kraken game! I've passed it several times while walking around this touristy area but never gone in. It's quite huge! And many floors. A bit confusing to navigate to our area (amex lounge)- we found out while leaving that we didn't even enter from the right entrance. Had a salmon burger at the amazon go store, pretty tasty, although I find the "don't know what you pay" distasteful. If I come back I'll try food from a different stall, the other hot options here were less appealing to me. The seating area was pretty clean, and the couple of staff members we interacted with were pretty nice. The only issue we ran into: My friend got called to do an intermission event and did run into a problem trying to get back to her seat because she didn't bring her phone and didn't have her ticket and they didn't let her in. There should really be a way to prevent this issue for the people who participated in the intermission show...

Yelp
Seattle's Kraken are in action at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle Center. The food is very pricey but outstanding. What venue serves fresh potstickers and egg rolls at a NHL match? I remember going to the old Key Arena to watch the Supersonics back in the day and this place is a major upgrade, especially their sound system. Local parking is also at a premium. Get here early if you can. Bring back the Supersonics!!

Yelp
I just attended my first Kraken game and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get in and out of the arena, find our seats, and how clean it was. Granted, we did attend a Tuesday night game, so perhaps it wasn't as crowded as other events, but I didn't feel like I was in a cattle car or constantly queuing for the bathroom or food, etc. We were pretty near the very top but still felt like we had a great view! It's true when they say that there isn't a bad seat in the house! The pre-game show was cool and there was a lot of audience involvement. My only complaint is that the food options were pretty basic and unimpressive. Maybe I missed some options on another level or something, but we ended up with chicken tenders and fries that were both kind of dry, and no ranch, just ketchup.

Yelp
Another great visit to Climate Pledge for a fun hockey game. This is a well orchestrated event every time. Traffic is well controlled and the police department coordinate the flow and it is always super easy to navigate. Box level seats are super comfortable, servers are awesome and everyone is super helpful. The food is always great and they change things up in the Moët lounge. Cheers to another successful hockey trip to Seattle!

Yelp
We had never went to Cljmate Pledge, until we went and saw Hans Zimmer, then a couple weeks later, we went and saw Trans Siberian Orchestra. Now we are waiting until next year to see Disturbed with Daughtry. We had such a blast, our seats were amazing and we will definitely be back for more fun! I also love that they have Valet. Thanks for an amazing experience!

Yelp
First concert at the Climate Pledge Arena to see Future! He sounds even better irl I mean he's purrfect so it was an amazing show! Acoustics was decent. They had tons of vertical sound absorptive baffles from what I could see in the dark which helped with speech clarity & intelligibility. Bars were clean & service was quick & on point, self serve stations were convenient. No long waits at the restrooms which was a pleasant surprise. Had SO much fun!!

H L.

Yelp
Great venue for popular artists! I appreciate how secure it feels with the bag checks and metal detectors. It's a very clean venue compared to others and conveniently located in Queen Anne. Arrive early to allow time for parking and enjoy the show!

Yelp
My husband and I attended an Usher concert here on a Sunday night. The arena is really nice and spacious with lots of good food & drink options that I haven't seen in other arenas. The living wall is a cool feature and people were taking pictures by it all night. Staff were kind and helpful and our seats were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. I'd definitely attend another event here and next time I'd love to have club/lounge access so I could check out those amenities.

Yelp
2nd weekend in a row coming here although I've been here numerous times. Last weekend was to watch the pre season Clippers/Trailblazers game. What a great venue for basketball! It'll be better once we can host and it's our own home team-but that's a story for another day Now Seattle is known to be expensive, and with it being an arena expect to pay those Seattle premium prices. Drinks are expensive, like $19.00 not including tip for a 2 Towns Cider. Two shots of Don Julio came up to nearly $60. For the concert venue the self service food stations were super convenient, but you were limited with food options. Pizza, pretzels, chips and salsa were pretty much the selected options, from what I saw was available. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked, and parking was a cinch if you park in the garage adjacent to the building. You take the elevator up from the garage and you're literally right at the front entrance of the venue.

Yelp
PSA: Be sure to read about the bag policy here before you visit. We didn't realize that even the smallest of purses wouldn't be allowed in. We had to walk to a nearby hotel and check our purses. ($8/bag to store them during the game)! Except for this minor bag issue, we loved Climate Pledge Arena while visiting from Chicago. The stadium is expensive inside for concessions, but they have some unique and tasty foods, like spam musubi. There's a great drink variety, and we could see well from our seats, even at the highest level where we were. What a beautiful and clean arena.
google avatar

Yelp
Great venue. This was my second time here to see Justin Timberlake. They have a very clean facility, and also have a lot of places to dine on the go, or grab a quick drink. We had great seats, it was easy to access when we arrived, as well as leaving. Uber was also a convenience. I will say that afterwards it was much easier to walk a little further to a bar, and then catch an Uber. Justin's show made up for the snowed out show in 2019 that was canceled. Worth the drive from Eugene! The sound quality in the arena is great. Also the bass hits pretty hard, you can feel the rumble! Would definitely come back for another show. My SIL said it is fun to see the Kraken's play. That would be cool.

Yelp
We recently got to visit Climate Pledge Arena for the first time, to see the Cirque du Soleil show playing there this month. Since I grew up on the south slope of Queen Anne, with a daily view of the iconic Coliseum, I was excited to see what they'd done with the place since the most recent remodel and rebranding. The inside public spaces were light and bright! It was semi-confusing to find our seating section, though. It might have been poor signage, or just the fact it was our first visit, but I was thankful for the abundance of helpful staff members to point us in the right direction. Once we found the correct section, though, things got even more confusing as the seating rows were so poorly marked it almost felt like a joke! Each row was marked with the tiniest, hard-to-see vinyl letter that you literally had to BEND DOWN to see. The letters weren't even lit up, so it got even worse once the lights went down and latecomers were trying to find their rows. I have NO idea why the seating rows aren't marked better - why not a large, fluorescent painted letter on the step outside each row? Speaking of steps, they weren't lit up either. So leaving our seats to use the restroom was downright dangerous. I can't think of a theater or venue I've been to that didn't at least have little lights embedded in the floor so you can find your way out in the dark. I shudder to think what would happen if there was some sort of emergency and literally thousands of people were trying to get out in the dark. Aren't dark stairs against the fire code? Our seats (we were in row F, by the way), which looked comfortable, were NOT. Yes they were padded, theater-style seats - which made us very hopeful for a cozy seating experience. Big nope. By mid-performance I could barely feel my legs as the legroom was less than on the most budget-friendly bargain airlines. And I'm only 5'6" tall - cannot imagine what it would be like to be taller and try to squeeze into these seats for a long performance. I can see myself avoiding Climate Pledge in the future, as it was just so darned uncomfortable. I do want to say that all the staff we encountered (even the guy who sold me the $12 bottle of water at the bar) were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I've been to many events at Climate Pledge: hockey, basketball, and many a concert. The venue is huge, so if you're looking for an intimate experience with the band you're planning to see, this is not your venue. But it works well for a large concert venue. Pros: - Despite its size, Climate Pledge is surprisingly easy to get into. I'm always amazed how efficiently they're able to get scores of people in. - The staff is generally very helpful. Ask if you're lost or need help. They'll usually oblige. - Check your ticket for the most convenient door for entry. It'll make the process even smoother for you. Although you can enter at a less crowded door that may be a little further away. Case in point: Door 8 is always super busy. But 10 and 12 are often much less busy. - Mass transit works well near the arena, although things can get a little more complicated with buses when it's near concert time. The best option, I've found, is to take the light rail to Westlake, and head upstairs to catch the monorail. The monorail gets you pretty close to the venue. (And, if you're using your ORCA card, you'll only spend 50 cents more for the monorail ride.) - If you're parking along 2nd downtown or in Belltown, you can catch an Uber scooter to the venue. They're generally easy to find, and there are lanes dedicated to scooters and bikes on 2nd. - Food and drink are decent, especially in the club areas. Unless you're vegetarian. Then things are a little less available. Food and drink are expensive, but not much more than other large event venues. - Seats are comfy, and surprisingly easy to navigate through. I prefer the club seating, but the suites are also nice. There's ample room in GA, but be prepared for it to be crowded. Cons: - Always double-check what is allowed into the venue. You don't want to get caught with a prohibited item that you'll likely have to throw out. They're not nice if you've brought a prohibited item, and they cannot be convinced otherwise. - Parking is a circus anywhere nearby, and even street parking can get very expensive for concerts (the street meters adjust costs upward on concert days). - Immediately after an event it's hard to get around, there are so many people. Traffic will be terrible. And the monorail, which I like using, is also slammed.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to attend 21 Pilots at this venue & it was a great experience. As we stood in line to get into the show there were plenty of staff walking around measuring bags in case is was over the size & it gave you time to return to your car if needed. I stopped inside the cashless store & bought 2 drinks dang near $40, but that's what you get when you're at events. Our seats were in Section 3 Seat Y if you want to know what thar area looks like.

Yelp
I came here for The Trilogy Tour concert (Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin and Pitbull) and it was only a 7 minute walk from my hotel, Staypineapple The Maxwell Hotel! The arena is located right across the big fountain at the Seattle Center on 2nd Avenue. I had a floor seat right next to the runway on the right hand side of stage if you are looking at the stage, 5th row, seat 14! Great view of the stage and runway and right on the aisle. I like the sleekness of the building with all the windows. Clear plastic tote bags are allowed per certain specifications as well as empty water bottle (non-glass less than 32 oz) are allowed. So it easy to carry what I need to bring in. Entry to the floor seats is easy through Entry 1 or 8 and no problem. But once you get in, it is a bit of a maze to know what section takes you to the floor seats once you go down the escalator. Signs are not apparent and we had to travel around to see where the food concessions and restrooms are. They should have a list of food concessions and where they are located. I just randomly saw an Amazon store where you slide your credit card to enter and picked up a salmon burger and it automatically charges your credit card once you leave. Then looking for an IPA beer, we kept walking around and found one. I got a Climate Pledge Arena cup that comes with your drink that you can use for refills. As far as the seat is concerned, it was great! Good view of the performers on stage and on runway. There are railings securing the stage and catwalk as well as security guards so no one has a chance to jump on stage! I like the aisle seat as I can easily come and go and no one is standing in front of me. I brought ear plugs as the music can be loud but they have them available at the venue if you need them.

Yelp
The facility was clean and well lite. There are many bathrooms but as usual the women's restroom had long lines. The process of going thru security was fast and easy. The FREE parking is terrible and the area isn't that safe. So I suggest walk in a group (it is Seattle). Climate pledge does have free transportation, but the metro was being repaired that weekend. The food and drinks were so over priced a small package of Carmel corn was 10 dollars! Now the best part it was the usher concert. The views from the 200 roll was really great. We could see everything and usher put on one of the best concerts. I have seen in a long time. I do recommend climate pledge for future concerts, especially if it's one that you really want to see and have been waiting for I prefer it over the showbox. Apologies for the bad video I was dancing!
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
Climate Pledge is a nice arena. I normally just go to climate pledge for hockey. Which has a good food selection and the hockey production if fun and engaging.
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
Well there's a class action settlement on this service charge now so I've got a few bucks coming in a few months. The only charged it for a few months until they got outed by media. Concession prices still obscenely high.
google avatar

Daniel C M.

Yelp
Great venue, comfortable, well organized. I would not hesitate to enjoy another event there. As the norm, prices are extremely high. A can of Diet Pepsi $4.99 $10 for a pretzel, $3 if you want cheese. So fill up before coming in. I was there on 12/22/23 for Macklemore!

Yelp
Sir Mix-a-Lot's "Not In Our House" is a Seattle classic. Don't forget about J.J. Fad's "Supersonic" too. Even Bishop Blanchet had a TikTok video that went viral. Yes, yellow pants, yasss. These were the hype songs that used to play on KUBE93 so watch these throwback music videos for some 80s/90s nostalgia. The Seattle SuperSonics' house was formerly called the Seattle Center Coloseum/KeyArena aka The Key and is now Climate Pledge Arena. Been here for concerts, sporting events, and my own high school graduation. So while I wait patiently for the powers that be in bringing back a Seattle NBA team, I'll continue to attend other events at Climate Pledge. Check out the public art outside the arena. To the south, walk along to Lenny Wilkens Way. Once inside take some photos at the living wall of plants. If you have the chance to go through the American Express Hall you'll see the "Be Like Water Mural" by Angelina Villalobos. We usually park downtown near Westlake Mall and take the Monorail to Seattle Center. We try to avoid driving around the Seattle Center vicinity. Mercer sucked when I started driving at 16 and still sucks today. As for dinner if you're downtown before an event Cafe Nordstrom, Din Tai Fung and Dough Zone are solid. You can also grab snacks at the HMart near the Market. Coffee & Beverages? I like Nordstrom Ebar, Monorail Espresso, Ghost Alley, Storyville and Victrola. If you're already at Seattle Center, Dick's off Queen Anne Ave is King.
google avatar

Yelp
Climate Pledge Arena is the home of the Seattle Kraken, Seattle Storm, and hosts many other events for those in the greater Seattle area. It's in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood near the Space Needle and is accessible by bus and light rail with a connection via the monorail. The arena has a long history as it used to be the home of the Seattle Supersonics and Key Arena, and now it also hosts concerts and other events. The venue is very nice and modern and I like the decor around the walls.
google avatar

Clint W.

Yelp
This time I came for a Storm game and still not thrilled with the layout. All the food carve outs seem to cause congestion around the entrances and the horse shoe shape, I don't understand. I miss the Key. Not quite as much as the Sonics, but still.
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
I enjoyed attending the Alicia Keys concert at this venue. My concert going experience was essentially problem free and I would see another concert at this venue. GLOWS: -Event staff was friendly and efficient in getting everyone into the venue -There was some confusion about where to go, but there was always someone around to answer questions and point us in the right direction. -The stage arrangement for this particular concert was impeccable. The rotating stage in the middle of the floor, with risers on each side allowed Alicia Keys to be up close and personal with the audience no matter the seat! GROWS: -Getting an uber to the area was a nightmare after the show. I suggest walking down as far as the space needle to get a ride quicker due to heavy traffic congestion.

Yelp
I experienced a plethora of firsts on Saturday.I met some new people in a pub after the Sounders game, and they invited me to the Krakens' NHL game. There was a five-minute wait to enter after we got there.Because we were running approximately fifteen minutes behind schedule, it was likely accelerated. As soon as we stepped inside, the electrifying game-day vibe had me turnt! Everyone in attendence was so friendly and enthusiastic about the game. Nobody wanted to miss a second of the excitement, so the concession stands and restrooms weren't too packed. The food during NHL games can be even more pricey than at other sporting event. The venue was exceptionally clean and the seats were comfortable. All things considered, it was an enjoyable experience! I will return!

Yelp
This Arena is pretty amazing in design for the most part. I love the living wall, Mr Softee, the Cove seating and experience for hockey and any seats below the 200 section. I was disappointed to find yesterday that the epic Din Tai Fung is gone and in its place were some smaller dining options, including Noodle Nirvana who's pork belly yakisoba had a pretty hefty sized piece of soft plastic in it last night and the pork pieces had some food-warming-lamp-caused dry sharp edges to them. The food and drink is quite pricey as are the hockey tickets and my experience two years ago buying the $40 hockey tickets was not ideal (I could only get a single seat ticket). Friends were able to get pre season hockey game seats in the Cove for $150 each last minute last night which was a great deal! They were next to the penalty box and a row back from players slamming into the boards and hockey fights. Any seats in the 200 section for hockey and concerts are rough as that steep section can cause vertigo and trigger the knee wobbles for anyone who doesn't like heights; I'd recommend seats lower down if you can. I'm not even a fan of the hike up the stairs at that level. I still struggle with the price overall too. We do love the Kraken games and fandom, even Buoy--who took some getting used to--is a great mascot and entertainer. Concerts here are good too! We have used the guest services sensory bag borrow program and appreciate that they have it. All in all the updates from Key Arena to this have been great!

Yelp
BS security measures. Makes zero sense that you can't bring in a bag even a millimeter larger than a postcard. Even if you take everything out of the bag and wadd it up so that it is smaller than a postcard. Furthermore $21 for one beer is absolute absurdity. I don't think I will return to this place.

Yelp
It's my first time coming to Climate Pledge, and it happened to be the first game of the Seattle Kraken... ever. It was during COVID-19 and people beginning to come out and visit. Why not come and see the Seattle Kraken play. As a travelling cook, I get to see different stadiums and operations. I can't show too much... but I can show the parts that matter, the food! First, Climate Pledge Arena lives up to its name by doing its very best to eliminate carbon emissions, especially on the stadium level. This starts with eliminating gas to commerically cook at the facility. Everything uses the lastest in electic, non-carbon based fueled appliances. It is actually an honor to be working it such a facility. You get to work with the most modern equipment, feed the great fans, and save the planet, all at once I was stationed at Shaquille O'Neil's Big Chicken which was imbedded inside an Amazon Go! Market. All you have to do is scan your phone, pick out your favorite snack item, beverage or entree, then leave. It's completely cashless. It doesn't mean there aren't lines. People are still lined up to get their first taste of Shaq's Big Chicken, where the chicken is freshly breaded all while using all electric deep fryers! Next was Din Tai Fung providing their famous dumplings, fried rice and other offering! The kitchens are huge. However, so is the demand for this tasty portion of Chinese cuisine. Other vendors also include Ballard Pizza, as well as concessions stand available with your stadium favorites. There is so much more about Climate Pledge as far as seating and culinary, but my experience is only one small party of the large story that is Climate Pledge Arena! I hope you get to visit soon!

Yelp
I attended a concert at the Climate Pledge Arena. I took the train from University to the monorail, exited near the Space Needle at Seattle Center. Had to walk through the park there to find the Climate Pledge Arena. I felt like the signage was not the best coming from that direction. Luckily, there was plenty of a crowd to follow. This was an inexpensive option for going to Climate Pledge. Also, if you get the Seattle Kraken app, the monorail is free on event nights! Once inside the venue, I had a hard time again, finding my seats due to poor signage. Security directed me all the way around to the other side of the building to access the floor seats. The view from my seats was what I expected. The sound quality at the venue was excellent. I was told this is normally a hockey arena. The seating all around seemed pretty good. The bathrooms are clean. There were plenty of concession stands, but I didn't try anything so I can't offer a fair comment about that. I used public transportation to get there, so I can't comment about parking. Overall, this is a solid venue for a concert.

Yelp
Did not know that this arena went through a recent renovation until I attended a concert. It's been like a decade since I've step foot inside and was impressed. Easy to navigate around, staff are friendly. The American Express area of it has nice bathrooms, kind of trippy that it has a separate entrance that can only be accessed if you are an American Express customer. Overall, this is my go to venue for concerts here in Seattle. Parking can be tricky around this Queen Anne area, but it's still a more central location than Tacoma. There's a few restaurants and things to walk around if you get here earlier than your event. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

Yelp
Good venue to watch a concert, but be sure to stay hydrated and bring a tiny portable fan (if they allow)! I came by to watch Arctic Monkeys at the end of September, and the arena was PACKED. Despite the crowd, the staff was extremely efficient in getting everyone to the right locations and it didn't take long for me to find my section. The show was amazing - despite being so far from the stage, I could clearly see the band on the screens and hear them from the sound systems. It definitely provided me with a great experience without having to pay as much to be all the way at the front! The reason I knocked off three stars though is because the arena got crazy hot, even though I was in a seat and not in the general admission floor. It was to the point where I felt faint despite not drinking alcohol. In fact, numerous people around me started feeling weak and needed their friends to help them out so they could cool down and get some (very expensive) water. I don't know if they didn't have temperature control in the arena or what, but they certainly did by the vendors, and so it felt like a ploy to get people to spend more money on basics like water. It had always been my dream to see this band, and it was my last chance to see them (they had announced that they will be breaking up after the tour), and so in the moment I didn't think too much about it. Looking back, however, I think it was incredibly dangerous and not how people should have been treated. With that being said, unless it's a last chance for a dream band like this, i don't think I would ever go to any performances here again. Be safe!

Yelp
The newly arena accomodated the whole crowd perfectly for a Jonas Brothers concert and it did not disappoint. Staff was helpful when people asked where sections were or where seat locations were. The line to enter into the arena was organized and allowed us in an hour before the concert start time. Seats were comfortable and there was a decent amount of space between the rows and seats.

Yelp
This is one of the nicest venues I have ever been to! Very clean interior and the place is HUGE. Tons of photo ops, food options, and different entrances. Security are really quick and friendly too. I came here to see NCT Dream and the sound quality was good. The lights and visuals were well done. I definitely recommend Club 14! There's a private bathroom for this section and they have their own bar too. Who knew this was the Din Tai Fung x K-pop collab I needed in my life???

Yelp
Came for the Elevation concert and what a nightmare. There was barely any parking nearby. We finally found the lot across from Safeway and we think people didn't park there for fear it was for Safeway. Worked out for us, but at over $40 for the show, it was pricey. Then we got in but were told that Sis' bag was small enough the it could get through security, but it wasn't Sis ended up throwing her bag away so she could get in but she was furious about that, and even though I understand the need for small bags, it was applied inconsistently, since we saw someone else get in by putting their small bag in a see through bag. Strike two. We had club level seats so headed there and there were barely any food stands open. Sis hated all the options so she bought a big bag of popcorn that didn't taste right. Apparently they don't use coconut oil because it didn't have that intoxicating buttery smell and there was a weird bitter finish to the popcorn. Yuck. Strike three. The concert itself was great and the elevation stage crew makes magic happen but they couldn't elevate the stadium experience itself. This venue is the worst.

Yelp
BE AWARE I like this venue, it just needs some work. I attended the Earth Wind & Fire and Chicago concert - this review relates to security entering the venue and sound quality. SECURITY Upon entering Climate Pledge, security discovered my Birdie personal safety alarm attached to my keys in my clear purse, which was deemed an issue. They called to check whether Birdie was allowed and the response was "no." I was then instructed to either return it to my vehicle or dispose of it in the trash. Birdie is a personal safety device designed for women, and without it, I felt vulnerable walking back to my car after the show. The Birdie would not have gone off during the event, and by confiscating it, security left me without a device I carry for protection. This is unacceptable. I have had my Birdie on my keychain for over a year and a half and have attended numerous events at Climate Pledge, WAMU, White River, Paramount, and T-Mobile, each time with the same clear purse and keys. Not once, until this particular event, have I been told that my Birdie had to be taken back to my car or thrown out. You need to reevaluate your policies. This is not okay. You are putting women at risk in a city with a high crime rate, and I have to seriously question Climate Pledge's decision to hire the third-party security company enforcing such policies. SOUND QUALITY The first show sounded fantastic, with an excellent balance of instruments and voices. However, the first half of the Chicago concert was awful -- the instruments were too loud and often seemed out of sync, and the microphones for the singers were poorly adjusted. About halfway through, the sound team finally seemed to realize the issues and started to improve the sound quality. It was hard to believe there had been any pre-show sound check, given how unbalanced and disappointing the sound was.

Yelp
We came here to see a basketball game and enjoyed our evening. The venue was easy to access, the seating was comfortable, there were several nice options for food and bathrooms conveniently located throughout the venue, very nice arena.

Yelp
We've been here for a Zac Brown concert and most recently a Seattle Kraken game. There is not a bad seat to be found in this venue! The employees are personable, the arena is clean and the aesthetics are well thought out.

Yelp
We have wanted to come here for a Kraken game since they were introduced to the NHL. We finally made the trip up for a game and we loved the experience. The security line was a little slow so make sure to allow yourself enough time to enter. Once we were in, we were instantly greeted by staff eager to help us in any way we needed. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There were so many food options to choose from. This included plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Get to your seats early because the team has an amazing on ice build up to pick drop. You don't want to miss the story projected on the ice before the game. Our only complaint was that tickets and food are a little pricey. It might make it hard to bring everyone in for a game. We are so glad we finally saw a game here! Let's go Kraken!

Yelp
Finally got to go to a show here and was not impressed. The venue is very nice looking but when I was there most of the restaurants and food vendors where closed. This caused long lines to get anything. We came for a concert and spent the extra money on the Cove 24 seats. Let me tell you DO NOT SPEND THE MONEY for these seats. The view of the stage is great. BUT you are right in front of the club seats. So you have a bunch of people who did not pay for the show, have access to free drinks and little regard for other humans behind you. This lead to a lot of talking by multiple groups which made it hard to hear the concert. We complained to security and nothing was done. Club folks get to do what ever they want with little regard for paying customers. I would rather buy cheaper seats and sit with fans than spend the money for the Cove seats. Save yourself some cash and ignore these seats unless they are the last thing available. I personally hope that more artists avoid this venue so I don't have to go back.

Yelp
We went to see the Sweet 16 NCAA Women's basketball tournament at the new Climate Pledge Arena. This was the first time we've visited since the old Key Arena was revamped. It had the same purse rules as other places: clear unless it's 4" x 6" which was a joke; even my smallest purse was too big. The facility itself was quite nice since everything was new. The plant wall was interesting and worth a picture. Why the 3 stars then? While there were plenty of food options, the prices were beyond ridiculous. $12.99 for a slice of pizza. One of our favorite restaurants is Ding Tai Fung but they didn't serve any juicy pork dumplings. Seriously? That is like no burgers at Dick's Drive In. All the other entrees were stacked in pre-packaged boxes starting at $15.99 and up. We ended up spending over $71 for 4 items. A flavored sparkling water was $8.95. Insanity! They don't allow you to bring in outside food so you have no choice. Our tickets were for 2 games so we there from 4 to 9 pm so had to suck it up. The couples behind snuck in food somehow so maybe next time....

Yelp
This a review from a food perspective. All I have to say is don't buy anything here and save your money by bringing something in or eat beforehand. All meals are over $16 before tax!

Yelp
I don't know too much about climate pledge Arena, I only visited one time and that was to see the band ELO. What I can say from that experience is that climate pledge Arena is not a good place for rock 'n' roll, music, or music of any type for any genre it doesn't have the acoustics that a good music auditorium has. Let's face it, climate pledge. Arena is home to Seattle's hockey team. You can get 20 30,000 people in that arena all screaming and yelling at a hockey game and I'm sure it'll be nice, but you put a rock band in there with all those gutters, metal seats and all that other stuff in the ceiling with all those crazy speakers and you're gonna get feedback and the music is gonna sound like garbage.
