Yelp
It is a small spot and dice next to a motel, yes a motel, trying to keep an open mind, it does after all have 4.5 stars.
Started off with the grilled cinnamon roll, chicken skillet with raisin toast, Mexican omelet with turkey sausage, well done home fries and pancakes.
The guy manning the eggs and omelets is fast as lightening, the other guy runs the pancake, home fries and the grilled meats and bacon. The other guy (manager?) puts together the plates. One lady cashes out and the other lady is making coffee as well as putting together the to go order, another guy puts out all of the ingredients and another cleans up and does the dishes. It's a well oiled machine here and in such a small and tight space too.
Our waters and setting were out quick. Order in just as fast.
The grilled cinnamon roll came out soon after the order was in. It's delicious, the top is slightly crunchy from the grill and the icing is decadent and good, the bottom half needed more frosting to make it better. I think it's best to eat the top and bottom together to distribute the icing on top and bottom pieces, goes down much more smoothly as a result. Eating the bottom alone is dry and lack luster.
The side of pancakes that comes with the Mexican omelet are silver dollar sized, they are not bad, not special.
My husband found a single short black hair in his eggs on his chicken skillet, he said he was done eating today after finding the hair. It was shown to the waitress and promptly returned and taken off the bill.
The cream sauce that comes with the Mexican omelet is very salty and runny and not good. The Mexican omelet is okay. Would be much better with some Cholula sauce or Mexican oriented hot sauce.
The overall bill was $17.75. Minus the short black hair in the eggs for the chicken skillet. The pancake, Mexican omelet, raisin toast and home fries were all average. The best part of our meal was the top part of our grilled cinnamon roll.
