Cool bar with creative, delicious cocktails. The vibe is kind of dark and moody, and the theme is sort of a dungeons and dragons game. You can actually play a game with the menu with dice available (we didn't try). The cocktails have a wide variety of unique drinks, all we tried were excellent. Most have many components and it is interesting to watch them get made sitting at the bar. Service was very friendly and attentive. There is food, I think it is all vegan, but we only had drinks. Cool spot...will be back again I am sure.

Cloak & Dagger is a total gem in Tremont—cozy, moody “library lounge” vibes with seriously creative craft cocktails and delicious vegan bites. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, and everything felt thoughtful from the menu to the atmosphere. Bonus: it’s got a fun D&D-like theme (like your party just ducked into a tavern to regroup). Easy 5 stars—can’t wait to come back!

We had a 4:00 PM reservation and arrived at 3:53, after driving 45 minutes from Hudson in cold, snowy weather with multiple accidents on the way. Wanting to be respectful of timing, parking, and conditions, we decided to walk in a few minutes early. The greeting was a little rocky — the hostess asked us to leave and come back in exactly 7 minutes. It was freezing outside, so I kindly asked if we could stand in the vestibule instead. She allowed it, and right at 4:00 on the dot we were seated. From that moment forward? Perfection. Truly magical. The cocktails were absolute works of art — layered, complex, memorable. Every single drink we tried was a mind-blowing flavor experience. You can tell the mixologists here aren’t just bartenders… they’re storytellers. And the food. My goodness, the food. This is an all-vegan restaurant, and while my kids are vegan, my husband and I are not. Yet this ended up being one of the best meals I’ve ever had — vegan or otherwise. Every bite was balanced, beautifully plated, and exploding with creativity. Our server was exceptional: warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the menu. Service had perfect pacing, even though dishes come out as they’re ready (not all at once for the table). A little advice for first-timers: Cloak & Dagger has a strict 90-minute dining window, which other reviewers mention. To make the most of your time: • Look at the menu ahead of time so you’re ready to order drinks quickly — you truly don’t want to waste a minute. • Be adventurous! This is a place where every single item is a hit. By the end of the evening, the brief awkwardness at the start didn’t matter at all — the drinks, the food, and the service completely swept us away. Highly, highly recommend. Don’t be afraid to try unexpected flavor combinations. Nothing here is “just okay.” Everything is 100% fabulous.

The Tarot menu is wonderful. We had The Hanging Man, The Tower, and the The Hierophant! All are recommended. The perogies dish was outstanding. The gnocchi was firm and pillowy at the same time. Excellent night out. We have reservations to go two more times during the Tarot book. Super excited to try more from this menu.

First found this gem a few years ago looking for a backup bar after one of my favorite Tremont restaurants was closed and since then I try to come back whenever I'm in town. I'm not a vegan, but they have excellent vegan small plates and cocktails in an awesome old Victorian library style atmosphere. Service has always been top notch which is probably why it can be difficult to get a reservation sometimes, but it's always worth it. If you like craft cocktails you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

Wow wow wow. When you walk in the door be prepared for the immediate, strong smell of incense to hit you. I mean that in the best way. Really cozy, well lit and well adorned spot with really complex and unique drinks. Even if vegan food may not sound like your preference, their vegan burger is so good it won’t even matter. We smelled (smelt?) the mushroom and herbs from the next table over and knew we had to have it. One thing of note that we must’ve missed is the reservations are capped at an hour and a half stay, so pace accordingly. In our case they very politely ushered us to the outside seating area after our time was up. Unsure if we would be able to stay longer if there were *not* spaces outside. It’s a busy, yet almost quiet, cool place and all worth it.

The drinks and food here are second to none. Seriously, the bartenders and chef are artists, and I would love to come here often to enjoy them. Ambiance is great too. However, sometime in the last year they implemented a 90 minute policy and you are no longer welcome to stay longer than that. That totally ruined our experience. After one hour, in which we had ordered two rounds of food and 3 rounds of drinks, the host came and told us that another party would be coming in 30 minutes and she made it clear that we would need to leave. Our server reinforced this. We had been having a fantastic time, but after that all we could talk about was how rude that was and how they made it feel like we were not important. We had been planning to stick around for another hour or two and pay for plenty more drinks and food. Now I don’t even want to go back. Way to ruin a great thing, guys. A good dinner should take 2 hours at least, and a cocktail lounge where you’re supposed to relax and enjoy many inventive and delicious drinks (not to mention great food) should take even longer. 90 minutes is not okay. Value the guests you have rather than hoping somebody else will come and replace them.

Celebrated our anniversary here during a busy valentine weekend and the service was amazing! Our server Willow made sure to get with the kitchen and wrote down all the items that would not be Gluten Free (they also mentioned the fryer had no cross contamination!). We ordered the Brussels sprouts, fish and chips, and burger. Each was delicious! Cloak and Dagger is a whole experience, 10/10 recommend to anyone but especially for vegan friends looking for a sit down dinner.

If I lived in Cleveland, I'm convinced this would be my second home. From the moment we walked in, everything about this place felt like it was created with intention -- the service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, the cocktail list was imaginative and playful, and the entire menu was a dream for anyone who loves elevated, creative vegan dining. We started with "snackeries" (adorable baby daiquiris) that set the tone perfectly: fun, clever, and delicious. Each dish that followed was layered with flavor, texture, and thoughtfulness -- the kind of food that makes you slow down and appreciate every bite. Not a single plate disappointed, which is rare even at the best restaurants. This isn't just "good vegan food." It's simply excellent food that happens to be vegan. The atmosphere is moody and intimate in the best way -- dim lighting, stylish interiors, and a hum that makes you feel like you've stumbled onto one of the city's best-kept secrets. The staff only add to that energy, striking the perfect balance between professional and genuinely friendly. And let's not forget one of the most underrated perks: free street parking right outside, which in any city is practically gold. We didn't have a reservation and lucked into seats at the bar (my preferred choice anyway). From that vantage point, we got to watch the bartenders work their magic, and it only enhanced the experience. Their cocktails aren't just drinks -- they're little works of art, and each one felt just as thoughtfully crafted as the food. This is one of those rare places I almost don't want to review because I selfishly want to keep it a secret. It's unique, unforgettable, and already has me planning a return trip to Cleveland just to sit at that bar again. Do yourself a favor: don't miss this gem.

Their take on the espresso martini was one of the best I've had. Also ordered the fries, pumpkin gnocchi, and dip of the restaurants choice (hummus). The pumpkin gnocchi was a little bland but ultimately the food was good. French onion soup did unfortunately have a hair in it. The server immediately took it back and the kitchen made a fresh one (said she would comp it off the bill but forgot, no biggie). Vibes inside were super cool. Dark and moody! Vegan dinner in Cleveland, Ohio at "Cloak and Dagger" was tasty and fun. Check out their food menu. Their beverages are even more unique. We opted for food rather than beverages so we could enjoy more of the food. The "For Two" menu are appetizers to share and the "For One" are meal items. Our Appetizers were: Vegan BBQ Skewers Quinoa Stuffed Peppers Our dinner entrées were: Causa Acervichada (using hearts of palm and artichoke hearts instead of seafood). Brisket Plate (made from Seiten) Everything was enjoyable. Unless you want to eat at the bar like we did, or outside, make a reservation as it's not a big place, but the service and food is great. I'm posting pics of the food menu along with items we got so you can see what was available whike we were there. We would definitely go back again the next time we're in Cleveland.

Very busy even on weekdays, make sure to have a reservation! Had a reservation for 8:30pm on a Thursday and waited ~10min to be seated as the last party was just leaving. Quite dark on the inside with dim lights barely enough to read the menu, but the shared plates are to die for. The Brussels sprouts and fries are a must-order! Drinks were a bit smaller than expected for $16 but strong. Smaller Acts is heavily coffee flavored without too strong aftertaste of alcohol.

Chic, trendy, and unique dining in the Tremont area of Cleveland. This cocktail bar is a great addition to the area! I was excited to see it had an all vegan menu! Finally found a vegan version of Birria tacos! They come in a set of three. A little spicy, but good. We also tried the Ube jam & crostini. Also, very unique & filling. Sweet taste (like fruity pebbles cereal) but well balanced. Both dishes were great! While we didn't get to try a drink, they have a cool 'aura' based cocktail menu offering colorful drinks. The server did give us two complimentary shots when we arrived. They even have a non-alcoholic option if you like. A nice place to also grab a drink and snack if you don't want to do a full dinner. Friendly staff! Can't wait to be back. Indoor and outdoor seating available. There is also bar seating. It's best to make a reservation as they fill up fast. Parking is limited to the street.

The Writer's Room at Cloak & Dagger blew me away with its ambiance. It's a very sultry hideaway/speakeasy on the second floor of Cloak & Dagger. It happens to be CLE's first membership-only cocktail lounge. The space is dimly lit and sets the perfect mood for unwinding. You feel like you're a million miles away from everything in life, just enjoying cocktails, and chill music. There are three distinct themed rooms with different vibes from Viper with red lights and Jungle with leopards. Each room brings a different feel to the space. They're all incredible in their own unique ways. Service was outstanding. The owners and employees were so friendly and attentive. I was at this space for an event, and got to experience a few cocktails including Golden Monkey (with a perfect hint of sweetness), My Muse My Flame (subtle spice), and Rood honey lemon pie (soooo good). The drinks are perfectly balanced, strong, and contain high quality spirits. They are so well crafted. Better yet you can create your own cocktail and tell the bartender what vibe you want to experience. The membership application is available online and is exclusive. The space is open a few days a week, and is perfect for unwinding, reading a good book, or networking. A must join!

From the lighting to the drink names to the exception service. Cloak and Dagger has some of the best cocktails in Cleveland.

This place is hard to get into but if you see a reservation open, snag it! You won't be disappointed. The limoncello cocktail was amazing. Very fresh and bright. Love how they come out with a welcome shot. Whole place is a vibe. Can't wait to try their food next time.

My favorite cocktail bar for many years - the rotating menu is incredible, and the drinks are inspired. Perfectly balanced cocktails each time. High end drinks at reasonable prices. The food is also amazing, and the best part is that everything is vegan! The atmosphere is unmatched, the gothic vibes makes this place stand out among the rest of the bars in tremont and the greater Cleveland area, I haven't found anything comparable nearby. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, service is very attentive and begins with a complimentary drink. I return every time there is a new menu, and you should too.

Interesting, complex cocktail menu with a selection of monthly specials and another of mainstays. I started with the Rabbit's Foot, which I saw later in a framed cut out from Cleveland Magazine. It's been noted in the local cocktail scene for a reason. Rich, yet refreshing - and beautiful! Each of us from our group of four had two cocktails so we covered good ground. The other two standouts were the Smaller Acts from the regular selection and the Dread Presence from the March menu. Smaller Acts is a lovely little dessert drink, and so good I might be reluctant to start with it because I would want many more. Dread Presence used coffee porter and was smoky, cozy and a little spicy. The other drinks we got were also solid, and the servers were friendly and attentive. We didn't eat, but they have a vegan small plates menu that looks good. Will be back in the summer to sit outside on the sidewalk, I imagine that would be a different experience but nice on a warm evening.

The restaurant was very nice, I would be aware that reservations are for a certain period of time, no one told us that there was a time limit on how long you could stay, we ordered food and drinks and would have ordered more drinks but the hostess came twice to let us know our time was up ... given there prices, I don't believe we should have been told on two occasions we had to leave. The dinner was for my nieces engagement. I will not be visiting this restaurant again especially since I was coming from Ashtabula county.

Finally made it in to try this place! The drinks are complex and tasty and well paired with the vegan menu! We enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, chips and queso with vegan chorizo and the birria tacos. Will def be returning to try the Philly vegan cheesesteak!

Our fav bar we visited in Cleveland! Def a must try. All the cocktails had a lot of dimension and the menu itself was really cool and well thought out- I dont often go somewhere and say i would drink any of their cocktails but this place did that. We were greeted with a shot as we were sat at our table and our server was really cool. We typically frequent a lot of bars and it was refreshing that the staff was really laidback here.. almost seemed more like a friend vibe than a server vibe. Def recommend checking this place out. It looks like the library where Antonio Banderas meets Salma Hayek in Desperado lol but overall great cocktails and a pretty intimate date spot!

Tasty drinks and super cool vibe! I loved the Harry Potter themed menu and my drink, amortentia, was very tasty! We also got seasoned popcorn which was fine. Service was quick which was helpful since they let us know it was last call when we arrived. Definitely want to return to check out more!

Everything was amazing. As soon as we sat down we got a free welcome shot. The server was super nice, helpful and attentive! The ambiance reminds me of a cool rock and roll library, if that makes sense very laid back atmosphere. The drinks were top tier, very flavorful and unique. We had vegan Mac and cheese- amazing!! And vegan jerk sliders- delicious!!! Would definitely come back if I were ever in Cleveland again.

What a fun evening in a super-funky, chill space! Met up with my wife and a longtime, long-lost friend for an evening of cocktails, eats and catching up. We were seated in a little conversation nook near the front of the house with plush chairs / couches a small table and a view of the entire bar and seating area...great for people watching! Our server popped over with a round of "welcome shots" to get the evening going, what a nice touch! We settle in with our first round of craft cocktails and perused the menu for snackage and meal time. What an interesting list of possible drinks...more than one list, actually...and each of us really seemed to enjoy our choices (I had a "Last of the Poppies" to start. Both my wife and I changed things up in round two and those were also fine as well (ended with a "King of the Dead"). The table started our food journey with some shareables...house fries served with an ancho chili BBQ sauce along with confit leeks served over a delightful mustard seed and cranberry vinaigrette. Both were cooked and presented with flare! For main dishes, my wife and I each chose a different item and then we shared; she chose the French dip (made of roast beet seitan and a mushroom jus) and I opted for the mushroom stroganoff served in a mushroom gravy. Both of these choices were hearty, bursting with flavor and again cooked and presented expertly. Have not been to too many vegan style restaurants, but this one really kicked things up a notch and I can't wait to return and continue to explore both the food and drink menus! This is such a cool place to come and try cocktails here in Cleveland!! The place gives off a very intimate vibe, as the lights are low and the ambience is relaxed! I do recommend making reservations, as it is very hard to get a table when just walking in - so definitely be prepared and make that reservation! The menu changes every couple of months, which is super fun to come back and try new drinks! They do keep some fan favorite cocktails on the menu, so if you are unsure what to try - this is a great starting place! ( the servers and bartenders are very kind and can help you decide what to get if you are having trouble with which cocktail to try!) They do have a small menu of food to pick from that is all vegan and made in house! - we did not try anything this time, but all the choices sound delicious! I can't wait to come back and try more delicious cocktails and hopefully food next time I'm in!

This place is right off Lincoln park. I didn't have any food here but the drinks are fabulous. Well made and quick to order. It dark, romantic and dimly lit. It's a dash of cozy and chic. Great space to meet a friend take a date. The parking isn't great and I'm unsure if it's dog friendly but it would be nice to come back and check out.

Cloak and Dagger has to be my favorite cocktail bar in Cleveland. They have a limited food menu that is absolutely perfect. The atmosphere and decor are spot on for a cocktail bar and the rotating menu keeps you coming back. They also start you off with a small shot of their special cocktail for the night. We started with fries with chili lime salt, cilantro and bbq sauce. You can tell they make everything in house. The bbq was amazing and the fries were delicious. I could have eaten only the fries for dinner. We also ordered the Ghost of Grandeur and Forlorn Hope. The Ghost of Grandeur was a more serious cocktail. The Forlorn Hope was more fruity. Both cocktails were great. Our dinner order was the French Dip and Celeriac Cacciatore on polenta. Both dishes were perfect and we would order again without hesitation. The Celeriac was slightly spicy and the polenta had a good texture. Whenever I come across celeriac I don't know how to prepare it. I may try this next time. My partner ordered the Ghost of Grandeur as his second cocktail because he liked mine so much. I ordered the Last of the Poppies spirit free. Cloak and Dagger has spirit free liquor and several cocktails can be made spirit free. The Last of the Poppies was not my favorite, but I did love the presentation. The inviting atmosphere makes you want to hang out all night. I will stop gushing and I just can't say enough about Cloak and Dagger.

Someone described the ambiance as "ambient and moody" and I think that perfectly sums it up. The cozy atmosphere is welcoming and a little mysterious. We arrived right at 4 when they opened, and although we didn't have a reservation, we were able to score a seat at the bar. (The hostess did tell us we had to leave at one point though, as she was expecting another reservation.) We ordered a couple drinks and even got a "welcome drink", which was a small sample of a holiday concoction that was fruity and sweet. The drinks were well-made and strong. I also didn't realize it was a vegan menu, but the small plates were actually pretty solid. I had the roasted beat carpaccio and meatloaf, which were both pretty good. I honestly had no idea what to expect out of vegan meatloaf, and while it wasn't exactly what I expected, it was fairly hardy and satisfying. My friend has some food allergies, but the kitchen was kind enough to whip her up a pasta dish with a red sauce. I tasted some of it, and it was excellent! I love the Tremont neighborhood and I always enjoy trying new places here. This one did not disappoint.

This was one of my favorite spots that we visited in Cleveland. I hopped online and made a quick reservation while at another bar, and I'm so glad I did because it's a cozy space. The atmosphere is very much what you might think of when you hear the name Cloak & Dagger: moody, dark, and a bit mysterious. This is a fancy cocktail bar, but it's not pretentious and I felt very welcome and happy at our corner of the bar. Your visit starts with a sample of a welcome cocktail. The menu is a beautiful illustrated book, which I always appreciate as its own work of art. It definitely sets the stage for your experience, which is a bit theatrical with flamed rosemary and flourishes on your drink, but it's not over the top. Drinks here are thoughtfully crafted with ingredients you don't always see on cocktail menus, like mustard seed, roasted grapes and olives, and vegan goat cheese foam. The Her Highness cocktail was my favorite, with a bit of a smoky earthiness but also some fruit. They have drinks that can be made spirit-free, which I love. Canned beer, other NA options, and wine round out the drink selection. We ordered the tofu bao buns and popcorn with house seasoning - both were good, but the popcorn was amazing. Popcorn is my favorite snack and their seasoning was just right. The whole menu is vegan. I'm so happy we got the chance to experience Cloak & Dagger. I will definitely be back if I'm in Cleveland again.

This place had me sold by the name alone but then you walk in, and the vibes are immaculate. Cloak and Dagger is a moody, vegan cocktail bar and restaurant that feels too cool for school in the best way possible. They change their menu seasonally or so and there's a theme each time, while certain classics always stick around. Their flavors, food and cocktail, are elaborate, technical, and feel like borderline magic meets science experiment and I can't get over it. The servers and bartenders are nice, knowledgeable and make what can be an overwhelming drink menu with ingredients that sound made up, digestible and a quick pick. Their menu will have you running to try at least one of something after each change but miss it you will, as it's a crowd favorite for a lot of folks. You're best off making a reservation to be on the safe side, the place is pretty compact. You'll want to hire their interior decorator, and you know it's good when you even want a bar's merchandise. Go and thank me later!

Love the ambiance. Dark but cozy with cool art and decor. Service is great! Never felt like I had to wait for the server too long. Food is so fresh and delicious! So glad I was finally able to get a reservation. Love the Game of Thrones drink theme (Westerosi Wine Tournament).

Cloak and Dagger is my favorite cocktail spot in Cleveland. If anyone comes to visit from out of, we get a reservation here. This place is perfect for good low light vibes, delicious cocktails, and cool ambiance. The menu changes every few months, which makes for an exciting new drink every time I'm in. This time I enjoyed the Debts Paid a bourbon based drink with beet and red wine reduction and a goat cheese foam. The salty foam plus the sweet and sour drink was an excellent combo. A favorite of mine (tg it's on their standing legends menu) is the queen of thorns. It's gin based, with a spicy sweet and floral kick to it. So much fun to drink. You basically need a reservation here, wouldn't recommend trying to walk in. It's usually fine to get one a few days in advance, and sometimes day of it you don't mind a more off time. Food here is all vegan, and my favorites are always the french fries and the popcorn. Definitely get an order to split, the fries are a can't miss. Service is always exceptional, I've enjoyed the care each server gives when making recommendations. Oh also when you are seated you are greeted with a complimentary welcome shot, which is a great touch. Drinks right now are $15 each, so on the pricier side but absolutely worth the price. The effort going into these cocktails are above and beyond, and the flavor combinations from the incredible house made ingredients make it worth it. Thanks, Cloak & Dagger!

Back to C&D for some drinks on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Really nice when they open up their big window on the square. Tried some new food items and they were on point - feta salad was incredible. We did not anticipate the food being so good here but it is as worthy of the visit as the craft cocktails are. Cleveland asset. Service great as usual

Note to reader - this is a vegan cocktail bar, reservations are highly recommended and time at table is limited. Let's start with the best... the cocktails are so so good. I mean we ended up at another bar after another bar and had a hard time sipping down the drink because these cocktails rocked so hard. Highly recommend you at least come for one, or four. They run about $15 but totally worth the mouth explosion! The food was average. I am not vegan but my husband is. He loved his food. I got the vegan gyro. I was a bit disappointed that it came on a hanger bun with lettuce and tomato. I was expecting more of a traditional food experience, maybe it was me but I wouldn't have called this sandwich a gyro. It was good but not what expected. But for my husbands dishes, he truly loved and wants to go back for more food, which I agree to join if I could just get an extra cocktails As for the space, it was nice. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the service was fantastic. I felt it was a bit on the darker side, which had me struggling to see the menu, it is also black. Yes yes and yes! I love the ambiance of Cloak and Dagger. We sat at the bar, the bartender (Tom?) was a star. He started off by offering us some small testers. He then explained the story behind this season's drinks menu, he guided us through the drinks, and even told us about the ones he came up with. I personally loved the reminisce en root (pictured below). Long story short, do not miss out on this little Cleveland gem.

This place simply wowed me from start to finish. My friend and I chose to enjoy the patio and grab some food and drinks. They start your dining experience off with a delicious complimentary shot and it's such a thoughtful gesture. I ordered the Rabbit's Foot, a well known cocktail of theirs, and the Love Potion No. 9. Both drinks were delicious and highly memorable. The cocktails at this spot are well crafted and I would've been amazed even without ordering food. For food, we ordered the house fries, jerk chicken sliders and the hearts of palm ceviche. Every single dish was amazing. The fries were fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the dill seasoning paired with the mustard dipping sauce was a great combo. The seitan on the jerk chicken sliders reminded us more of beef than chicken, but was flavorful and tasty nonetheless! The ceviche was a favorite of mine. The plantain chips were dusted with tajín and the ceviche had a bright flavor. The service was remarkable. I informed the waitress about my nut allergy and she was very thoughtful, providing me insight on what options were viable for me from the menu. I had a great experience here and will definitely be back.

You can ask people and read about this place, but you have to check it out for yourself. The decor inside is very homey and gothic all at the same time. Not a ton of seating options, so a reservation is HIGHLY recommended. The cocktails were delicious! I also got the Buffalo 'chicken' sandwich and some fries. I do wish their food menu was more extensive. Definitely a cocktail bar first, food second. One note is that there is a timed limit on your table once seated but the time given was plenty.

Great food great cocktails. However it is reservation only which is understandable for such a small place. The downside is they hold your reserved spot for 90 minutes. So as you're getting your food you are also being told you need to leave in the next 30 min to make room for the next reservation. being more or less told to hurry up and get out is the reason I will not be going back in the future.

This place has been on our list to try for a while now and I'm so glad we finally got here! We made a reservation for dinner on a Friday night. The place was moderately packed. They had a much larger patio space than I was expecting, but if it was not spring/summer - the amount of people they'd be able to accommodate would be slim. So would absolutely recommend making a reservation. We got a couple cocktails - I got the rabbits foot and I LOVED it. Don't know that I ever need to drink another cocktail. Then for dinner we got a couple apps (pickle platter, fries) and each got the Buffalo "chicken" sandwich. The food was all incredible, I was so impressed. The sauce that came with the fries was like a smoky ketchup and it was so unique and a nice change to such a standardized side. If you didn't know, everything on the menu is vegan - including anything they use in their drinks. My only recommendation to them would be getting a couple more items on the menu to eat. Regardless, I would absolutely recommend this place and we will definitely be back in the future.

Unbelievably good cocktails. Probably the most creative in the entire city. All new menu every couple weeks or months too! Now they have unbelievably good vegan food too! The sweet juicy whiskey "chicken" skewers were not cheap at $14 for two, but were the best seitan strips I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and coated in a sweet barbecue sauce with nuts and a perfectly complementary kale and cabbage slaw. So delicious I couldn't believe it. The Gemini drinks came as two "twins" which were fantastically paired. The first had nutty roasty chocolate notes from the mole agave and chocolate bitters. The Twin II was a nice bright mango orange peppery little shot of goodness. The only downside here is that you require a reservation and it is dark as hell in there. I mean I'm 30 with fine vision and I had to use my cell phone light to order off the menu. Meh. This place is a MUST GO in Cleveland.

I would give this place a thousand stars if I could. I went here yesterday for the first time and was blown away by the. Culinary depth that goes into each and every cocktail and food menu here. I started the night with their New Spain cocktail and it was seriously one of the most delicious and complex cocktails I've ever had. As the bartender described it, the flavor from beginning to end is completely different and you get to enjoy many flavors as the drink settles. For food, my friend and I shared the carrot tartare, fries, and pea bruschetta, all of which were *chefs kiss* absolutely fantastic. Ended the evening with Anything from the Garden cocktail because it has pickled tomatillos in it and I couldn't pass that up. Our bartender Ben was an A+ host with a great attitude and was excellent at describing the drinks and food. They have all guests sign a guest book upon paying their bills and I just loved that too. I seriously had an incredible experience here and can't wait to come back!!!

Cloak & dagger is an ICONIC gothic, poetic artisanal cocktail bar. The vibe is giving dark academia meets Cleveland. The service is truly unparalleled, with seasonal cocktail menus that are tailored to a particular story. Every drink is truly a home run. The food is vegan friendly and I heard is also delicious. MAKE A RES A WEEK IN ADVANCE. you'll thank me later.

Vegan friendly menu too, but mostly appetizers type food rather than full meals. service is always great but just make sure to make reservations well ahead of time especially if hoping to sit at a table rather than bar, they're always booked out!

I have been here before and the ambiance is great! The cocktails were great that time but this time we weren't feeling anything on the menu so we just ordered dirty martinis thinking they'd be good. After they were already made we are informed they are out of olives? We were served chilled vodka in a martini glass with a pickle and charged $16 per drink lol. So, just order off the menu if you go!!

This is a cute little bar with great ambiance. We tried a variety of drinks, including the Spaceman, Spaceman, Boogie Shoes, Where the Watermelons Grow, and Smaller Acts. In my opinion, Smaller Acts was the best by far! Our server was gracious and friendly and the popcorn was delectable. We will be back soon.

I've waited to visit for so long and was overjoyed to be taken here by a couple friends. We got the last reservation and there was a time limit!! I can understand this though because from the time we step foot inside until we waved goodbye, we were downright charmed. We all loved the intimate tables, the cool yet cozy lighting, and the vintage relics that adorned the walls. We were greeted with shots at the table! How nice! I started with a sip to see how I liked it but kept on sipping because I wanted to savor it! Not sure what it was but really nice. And what a cool gesture! Our server and the entire staff didn't miss a beat. They all worked together seamlessly and communicated happily. That always makes for good energy in the restaurant. Onto food and drink: I got the Leo cocktail (some fancy name) and it was unique and bold but I could have had 5. Samples the Scorpio cocktail and it was smoky and sultry and secretive, haha! Also tropical! We had the kimchi pickles and potato half skins for an appetizer and they came out hot and fast. We scarfed them down even faster. I'm pretty sure that no matter what you choose from this menu, you've made the right decision. Next we put in an order for the skewers and Mac and cheese and when those came out we once again couldn't help but dive right in. Almost missed my photo opp! From what I recall the skewers were seitan based; and boy did they smack. The Mac and Cheese was smoky and savory, texture of the "cheese" sauce was wonderfully done too. It was a great combo - we shared everything and it was giving comfort bbq. We were kindly reminded that our reservation was almost timing up so we headed out already thinking out the next time we can return. Thank you guys so much for putting your hard work into this restaurant - it was an experience a cut above the rest!

Addendum from one of the friends: I'm 100% in agreement with Marie's original review. When we paid our first visit to Cloak & Dagger in the summer, we wondered whether its ambiance would be improved by visiting during the winter when the weather was a little more suited to the cocktail bar's dark academia vibe. I returned to Cloak & Dagger in December, though, and I have to say that my review is not any more positive--if anything, my opinion of Cloak & Dagger got worse on second visit. First, the positives: the bartenders, once again, were the highlight of my experience. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive. My boyfriend and I visited while the Advanced Potion Making menu was being offered, which featured cocktails inspired by potions from the Harry Potter series. We tried the Amortentia (light, refreshing, not too sweet); the Draught of Living Death (smoky and unsurprisingly boozy); and the Polyjuice Potion (quite sweet and surprisingly boozy). Positive reviews all around on the cocktails. We also tried the Sharp Cheddar Mac and the Bangers and Mash, both of which we enjoyed. Cloak & Dagger is a solid option if you're looking for good vegan food in Cleveland! Unfortunately, the atmosphere still left something to be desired. The loud party music once again made the vibe less swanky and more dive bar. On top of that, while we were still eating our food the host came over and gave us a twenty minute warning on our reservation. I understand that it's a popular place and Cloak & Dagger has to honor the schedule, however there were several open seats when we were asked to leave, which was pretty off-putting. We had been planning to order a couple more cocktails and were disappointed that we were pushed out and didn't get a chance to try them. Cloak & Dagger has so much potential. There is clearly a lot of thought and creativity put into designing their menus and the drinks are good; the atmosphere, however, doesn't cut it. A few easy fixes-- changing the music, maybe just a tad more lighting, and not rushing guests--would make the experience so much better. As it is, Cloak & Dagger doesn't live up to the hype.

Absolutely WONDERFUL food and cocktails. Everything is so fresh tasting and clearly made from scratch. The atmosphere is cozy and classy. I am so appreciative that the menu is completely vegan! It's great to be able to pick anything off the menu without having to wonder if it has meat in it or is cooked with meat-stock. I guess my only recommendation: maybe the servers could dress a bit nicer? For such a tasteful and classy establishment it would be nice to see the staff in something a notch above jeans and t-shirts.

It's hard to find good vegan food in cleveland and this one is so underrated!! Came her few weeks ago. The Bao was probably the best bao I've had that's vegan!! I live in LA and my vegan options are very good so this definitely hit the spot and was even better than some of the vegan spots back home. The drinks were super unique and aesthetically so cute! The vibes were very mellow and perfect for the colder months. I'm coming back to cleveland this week and certainly coming back. The service was also very good, the server was very knowledgeable about the dishes and helped us make our decision too!

I really enjoy craft cocktail/speakeasy joints and this one fits right in. My sister and I had reservations right at opening on a Friday to sit at the bar - that's where the magic happens. I am entertained by the bar staff watching them create their drinkable art with all the gadgets, gizmos and accessories. We had a lovely evening getting two delicious cocktails apiece.

Diggin' this place! Great food, delicious drinks, cool atmosphere and awesome staff. Gotta check it out!

Drove three hours out to this place (and Cuyahoga National Park) from Indiana because the pics of the menu my friend sent me looked good. For me, vegan stuff is always a gamble. Holy. Mf'ing. Moly. This place slaaaaaaayed. I immediately got a table outside even though it was right at max capacity. I immediately got the brisket and asked the server for a suggested side. They said quinoa stuffed pepper (again, a big gamble). Both were so insultingly good I ordered another side (chickpea sliders). Everything was A+. Only downside is their small portions - which honestly was perfect for me so that I could keep eating and eating like some sort of Roald Dahl story. The place is inside some cool house and the ambiance is great and the "vibe" is chill (if you're into that). Highly recommend this place - especially for veg folk. Best seitan I have had in literally 20+ years. I'm sorry I doubted you for so long Cleveland.

Very small space. Drinks were good. Food was ok. Menu didn't have much, but wouldn't plan on here for dinner. The cocktails were well thought out though but not sure they're worth the trouble it is to get a reservation here.
