"Good things come in small packages. It can be said about jewelry, it can be said about the cowboy boot keychain I bought at a Montana airport in 2014, and it can be said about Falafel Chee. This weekend-only lunch stand in Culver City’s West LA International Market is no wider than its owner’s wingspan, and the falafel he fries up are stunners. There are only two options on the menu - platter or pita wrap. I opted for the platter, which came with falafel, homemade hummus, and tahini, as well as mango and tamarind sauces that Iraqi owner Manaf Alsudaney ships in from the Middle East. Unlike Israeli falafel, these Iraqi ones are made from a pure garbanzo mix - without any additional herbs or spices. The outcome is crispy, but fluffy so that they absorb the sauces and maintain their crunch, but are also easy to chew. Next time, I’ll be opting for the pita wrap instead of the platter, so that all of the sauces, pickled turnip, and crunchy falafel can get to know each other even better. Even though you’ll likely end up eating in your car, Falafel Chee deserves a spot on your weekend lunch rotation." - Arden Shore

This guy has the most delicious falafel I've ever had, and coming from a middle eastern country, I've had lots of them. The falafels are so crunchy, don't taste like uncooked chickpeas, and are not greasy at all! They're also well-spiced. The tahini sauce is great and the guy selling them is so nice and welcoming. I wish the stand was somewhere outside, as the smell somehow disturbs the shopping experience in the supermarket and also it gets really crowded there. You should definitely try.

Truly the best authentic and the most delicious Middle Eastern falafels you can ever find in LA. The owner is super nice

The falafel is moist, tender, and crispy. The pita is grilled. The spice on the fries is great. The highlight though is the homemade sauces. Get the wrap spicy—it's not too hot , but very flavourful. Keep in mind it'll take 10 minutes from when you order to get your food, so ordering ahead isn't a bad idea.

I shop at the West LA International Market on weekends frequently, and that's how I originally got to know the really awesome Iraqi couple that operates Falafel Chee. Their falafels are delicious and perfectly seasoned and cooked. As an added bonus, the hummus is outstanding. After a move to Jackson Market in Culver City, Falafel Chee has moved back next door to where they were. It's a much better location, complete with comfortable covered seating and expanded menu items. They're now open every day, rather than just on weekends. The parking has improved also, there's now free parking right in front of the restaurant. Very highly recommended!

I just had the most delicious Iraqi food in LA at Falafel Chee! Their Falafel Wrap, Falafel Plate, and Pomegranate Juice were amazing. If you haven't tried any Middle Eastern snacks yet, I highly recommend giving Falafel Chee a try!

At this point, we may never get a falafel wrap anywhere else. The falafel themselves are freshly fried, the toppings are fresh and delicious — honestly, it’s so good. The prices are reasonable and taste delicious. Highly recommend if you’re ever on Venice Blvd.

Best falafels I've ever had. Better than my own mom's cooking. Full of flavor and not dry. Price for the wraps are very affordable and you can select a variety of sauces to customize. I highly recommend trying out these falafels.

There is no need to talk about it. Finally, we can taste the original Falafel 😍😍😍
