On top of that, their prices are very reasonable for the quality and taste you get. These donuts feel gourmet without breaking the bank, which makes indulging in them even sweeter. I love them so much that I find myself buying donuts here every weekend—it has become a little tradition with my kids If you’re looking for donuts that go above and beyond the ordinary, Cloudy Donut is the place. I’m sorry but these were so bad😭 I’ve had better vegan donuts from DOUGH on Vanderbilt ave. I got two cinnamon rolls, and both tasted mostly of dough and vegan margarine with a literal sprinkle of cinnamon. I got a Cookie Monster donut for my 5 year old and he didn’t even like it. I’ve attatched a photo of the inside of the cinnamon roll to show how much of a dry disappointment it was. You know something isn’t great, when eating it only makes you yearn for a pastry from another bakery.

I love this spot, I have been to 100 vegan spots around the city, no one does a cinnamon bun like them! The owner is super friendly and kind/ she recognized me after just having been there once. I have traveled from NJ to get their doughnuts before, I strongly recommend going !

A bit overpriced for the quality. The cookies and cream donut does not have filling, so is a bit flavorless. I prefer Dunwell donuts in East Williamsburg for a vegan treat.

Cloudy Donut in Brooklyn is a gem! The donuts were out of this world, but the male worker made the experience even better. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help us choose the perfect flavors. Can’t wait to return, plus there is seating outside!

This store is adjacent to two coffee shops on a chic Brooklyn Heights block. I picked up a cinnamon roll. All products are vegan and the store vibe is clean. The cinnamon roll itself was sadly quite dry. I am not sure how 11$ is a justifiable price for such a product. Their sample donut too was dry. The level of sweetness however was quite right, not cloying. Staff was friendly and full marks for service. I would ask the bakers to modify recipes to make the goods moist and soft, so as to align with the premium price tags!

The Best Donuts!!! A must try in NYC. This might be my favorite donut shop in North America. Beautiful shop, incredible service and a wonderful assortment of flavors. They have approx 50 flavors that they rotate though (8 or so every weekend). The warm cinnamon roll was actually my favorite, so soft and a perfect balance of sweetness. Love that they have smaller size donuts so you can try multiple flavors without filling up. 100% vegan. Some had nuts on top, but where clearly marked.

Innovative vegan donut spot in Brooklyn. The flavors are constantly changing and evolving! Upon walking in, I was greeted by a warm staff member who really took his time in explaining the available flavors; even suggested the flavors we should try. The storefront is very simplistic; lots of open space and the decor is meant to draw your eyes to the donuts. There isn't any seating except outside when the weather allows for it. We tried the blackberry mint mojito... fire. Raspberry rosé... peculiar... and brown butter pecan... classic. The donuts are tiny compared to other donut spots which might not appeal to everyone. They truly are bite sized looking. If you look at my pictures, they fit in my tiny hand. Lol. But again, flavors are so outstanding that if you don't care for a large donut, this spot is your jam. That day they were also serving a lemon pistachio cinnamon roll... amazing and I hope they add that on their menu again when the weather warms up. I did have their coffee which wasn't my favorite. But since this is a donut shop, my focus is on the donuts anyways. You must stop in and see for yourself that this spot is worth the try.

As a non vegan, I am impressed!! It's hard to tell these are vegan or perhaps vegan desserts have come a long way in the last decade! Love all the creative flavors they offer and love supporting this small BIPOC business!! You can't go wrong the the donut flavor and their cinnamon rolls are quite popular too, esp when it's fresh from the oven!

The donuts at Cloudy Donut were all stunningly displayed, tantalizing in their bright colors and variety. However, my husband and I were underwhelmed by the two we ordered--the guava lime and pina colada. The guava lime came with a thin slice of lime on top of the donut, but otherwise I didn't detect any lime flavor in the frosting itself. The pina colada was better, in part because it was enhanced by the coconut flakes and even sour pineapple on top. But both weren't worth the price. I can't say the yeasted donut parts were anything much better than a yeasted Dunkin Donut. Perhaps we should have ordered a sweet potato cinnamon bun instead.

Was walking around the area and had to stop by to check out these cute donuts. I got offered a sample donut to try out by the front desk person who was so sweet! I tried the Lemon poppy flavor and was sold on trying all other flavors lol. They're perfect bite sized pieces without being too sweet.

I've heard of Cloudy Donut and finally decided to visit after a recent collab with another local bakery. Upon arriving I was surprised at the limited donut options and wondered if I had shown up on an off day or maybe they were still baking their goodies? (It was a Saturday morning) To me, it didn't seem as if they had a wide selection of doughnuts nor did I see any other pastries that I've seen pictured in other reviews. The donuts were delicately decorated, but quite mini. I didn't feel that the quality of the donut made up for its size. The establishment is spacious and clean, but they do not offer any indoor seating. However, there are a table or two outside.

They may be known for their donuts, and offering 40 flavors of donuts at that, but their other baked goods also live up to the hype. In particular, the cinnamon rolls, which I didn't even know they had until I showed up one Saturday afternoon to find that they had sold out of donuts for the day. An employee could see how disappointed my friends and I looked and told us if we just waited a bit a fresh batch of cinnamon rolls would come fresh out of the oven, so we agreed to buy them. We're so glad we did. I'm an amateur baker, and am pretty proud of my at home cinnamon roll recipe-- these were good enough to make me avoid thinking "I could make these at home." It's hard to mess up fresh out of the oven cinnamon rolls though. I see a lot of reviewers noting how pricey these baked goods are--welcome to NY! You'll feel ripped off every time you step out the house. $8 per pastry is par for the course these days. I don't know if I'd wait hours in line for these, but if you can walk right up to the counter, as we did, they're definitely worth it.

Really lovely shop I ran into on a whim. The donuts are light and flavorful. Even got a free orange glazed donut to try out, such amazing service. Charming shop, will definitely pop in again when I'm in the neighborhood.

Whenever I am in New York, I absolutely have to stop at cloudy donut co. The location is beautiful. I usually grab the new flavors of vegan donuts and I walked down to a park nearby and eat. These donuts are absolutely delicious. When I tell you, I crave them as soon as I get out of JFK. I highly suggest you check out this donut shop. They have a couple locations in New York and I wish they had them in my state. Whenever I enter, the staff is really sweet and welcoming. It's a beautiful treat in the summer.

These are some solid vegan donuts. They taste homemade and I love the fact their flavors are seasonal so it changes throughout the year! Black-owned is always a plus!

I was drawn to this place after seeing photos online and the fact that they are all vegan. I made the trek to Brooklyn to check out the original location. A small place meant for takeout only as there is no seating inside. No restrooms. The inside is bright and fits the cloudy theme. I found out there is no menu listing of prices. This makes it really hard to decide what/how much to buy without awkwardly asking in the middle of a busy line. The donuts are mini in size and the cinnamon squares are average size. Apparently they have drip coffee too? Again, not listed anywhere on a menu but saw someone get a cup and found out they sell basic drip coffee from a steel canister. Who knows how much it costs? The mini donuts are $4.50 and the cinnamon square is a jaw dropping $10! I was surprised at checkout that I paid just over $15 for a mini donut and cinnamon square. As for the quality... the balsamic fig donut tasted sugary sweet but didn't catch any fig flavor. The cinnamon square tasted very doughy with a very light hint of cinnamon vs a fluffy soft consistency. Disappointing. Overall, while they look pretty they were not the best vegan donuts I've had. For how expensive they are and lacking in flavor, I don't think they are worth the trip. There are way better tasting larger vegan donuts at a better price point in NYC. Would be helpful if they posted prices.

Absolutely amazing vegan donuts! This place blew me away. They have a wide selection of donuts, all 100% vegan--but you'd never guess it based on the texture and taste. Everything was so rich, fresh, and flavorful. I also love that their offerings change with the seasons and are based on what's locally available. That kind of thoughtfulness really sets them apart. Seating available outside. It was my first time here, and the service was just as impressive as the donuts. The staff took their time walking me through the menu, explaining the different flavors and ingredients, and made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Can't wait to come back!

Very cute store, we popped in on a Saturday morning to try some of the donuts. Their flavors all looked really interesting. We got lemon vanilla bean, berry olive oil, and creme brulee. Our fave was the creme brulee, had a caramelized sugar top and cream on the inside. The other 2 tasted the same besides the decoration on top. They were good, fluffy donuts but we did not taste any flavoring in the donut/glaze besides the berry and lemon that were placed on top. The donuts are pretty pricy at almost $15 for 3 mini donuts. However, a good option if you only eat vegan.

Love love love the pecan cinnamon bun. It was just out the oven! I should have got 2. I always tried the red velvet and sweet potato also tasty Note the parking is hard to find. But the customer service was excellent. No issues repeating my order or any recommendations since it was my first time.

Finally had a chance to circle back here since they opened in October 2022. FYI they only open on fri-sun and kind of out the way BUT I was in the neighborhood and wanted to visit on a Saturday. Love that they are black-owned and all donuts are vegan. I didn't love the price nor the flavor. Didn't add up to me. I ordered a mini donut (sugarberry) and a single donut in the flavor of blackberry mint mojito for a total of $11! HOW?! and why lol. My immediate thoughts. $4.50 for a mini donut and $6 for a single is a but much. As far as a size reference for the single donut, its similar to the size of a Dough donut. I'd probably go back to try their coffee but not pressed about the donuts unless I see a flavor that really entices me. They announce the flavors of the week on their IG and website. Definitely try it for yourself and see.

These donuts may be on the smaller side, but they are super delicious. This is a great spot for both vegans and non-vegans. The area is very calm and relaxing. If they have pound cakes, I recommend getting that along with some of their donuts. Service was also great.

Cloudy Donut Co. is a cute, quaint establishment that is next door to an ice cream shop and a couple of doors down from River Deli, which opens in the evening for dinner dining. Cloudy Donut Co. has 40+ donut flavors. My coworker purchased some donuts last week and shared them w/ myself and another coworker. All we could do is reiterate how great they were...sinply fresh and delicious. We walked together to visit Cloudy Donut Co. yesterday during our lunch break because we were craving these donuts-lol. When we walked in, we were gladly overwhelmed w/ all of the fabulous donuts' flavors / options, and I had a difficult time choosing which donuts to purchase. I finally decided to get a Pina-Colada Donut (infused w/ rum in this frosted baked good), a Pistachio Donut & a Balsamic Fig Donut. The othes got a Pina-Colada Donut, a Peanut Butter & Jelly Donut, and Cinnamon Roll Donuts. The donuts were so good! Cloudy Donut Co. also had Blueberry Donuts, Rosemary Lemonade Donuts Chai Donuts, Creme Brulee.Donuts, etc. We will definitely be back. Donuts hold a special place in my heart. They bring back childhood memories of my grandfather coming home from work EACH day with a box of donuts (he owned a sanitation business and one of his customers was a local donut shop). Cloudy Donuts transport me back to my childhood excitement for a sweet and doughy treat and reminds me of him. The donuts are light in consistency and the flavors and offerings are delightful. And did I mention that the donuts are vegan?! As for the ambiance and location, the shop feels bright, airy, and welcoming. It's a take out establishment so this isn't the place to order and sit down. Since it is a 5-minute walk from the Brooklyn Bridge Park, you can grab a donut, or more, and go for a nice walk along the East River at the park while you eat them!

As someone with a dairy allergy, this place has been on my to try list for a while and I can say I am happy I finally did try it! The store is very cute and in a lovely neighborhood that offers views of the water which is great after eating a sweet treat. The donuts were moist and very tasty. I ordered the lemon, rose berry, and coconut. I would say that the coconut and rose berry were both good but fairly standard. The lemon however was AMAZING. So good! My partner ordered the pistachio, berry, and lemon. Both of us agreed the lemon was the best so definitely recommend that! The staff were super friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure which to try and they recommended the best as the lemon and they did not miss.

Absolutely recommend! I've been delaying coming here because I'm on a diet lol but it's Friday so why not. I came in with intentions to get donuts but was told the sweet potato cinnamon roll is to die for. I am not a sweet potato girl but took it home with intentions to give it to my mom. I purchased donuts as well. My favs were the lemon cream and the maple butter pecan. These donuts match the businesses name to a T. The donuts were lights, fluffy and so soft. So I get home, open the box and decided I can just taste the sweet potato cinnamon roll and just spit it out if it doesn't sit well. I ate the entire thing y'all, it was soooo good. They made me a believer today, so good I called them and told them about it lol. The provide excellent customer service here and we're very patient with me as I decided what to get. My colleagues and I were excited to try Cloudy donuts' sweet digs. The aroma and flavors are on point BUT the texture of these donuts are far from soft and fluffy. The texture is more like a baguette with sweet toppings. I personally had high expectations but the texture of these donuts left a lot to be desired. My colleagues tried the smaller donuts and experienced the same with the texture. I will wait a few months before giving them a second try to update my review.

Food : 3/5 The donuts that I purchased were good. I did anticipate them to be better based on the hype -- In total the 3 I had were all Lightly sweetened and tasty. I went in and tried the sweet potatoe cinnamon roll doughnut and and creme brûlée which was my fave it was light crispy and sticky but so good. ( the cream filling ). One of the owners she was nice enough to give me a Inan mind doughnut that was good also. Really cute spot to grab doubts from. I love that there vegan. Congratulations on being the First Black Owned business in Brooklyn Heights! I've been twice now and can say that the donuts are fresh, look beautiful and are made with love. The staff is also super friendly and are passionate about what they do. The shop is very clean and the donut display is beautiful. An added bonus that they're vegan! I only gave 4 stars for the flavors. The basic flavors like powdered and cinnamon sugar have been my favorites. They're definitely a major upgrade from Dunkin and other local shops. I was underwhelmed by my speciality flavors. The maple pecan glaze was just okay and the pistachio lacked pistachio flavor. I would be open to exploring other flavors but their location is out the way for me and they have limited hours. If you're in the area I'd stop by and give them a try. If they're on your list make sure you plan accordingly because they do sell out. You can call ahead to preorder but there's a minimum amount you have to order.

Cloudy Donut Co is amazing! Their donuts are light and airy, yet somehow incredibly filling. And the flavors! So many interesting choices coming out of their oven, I already know I have to go back and try more. I had the strawberry lemonade, which was so moist and flaky, with a delicious lemon frosting that was the perfect level of tart. I also had the balsamic fig, and recommend it to anyone who likes a donut that pushes the boundary between sweet and savory. It was easily my favorite, I can't wait to get another. The only downside is that they don't have more hours, but I hope they'll be open more often in the warmer months! The only other downside is that I won't fit into my clothes pretty soon, but totally worth it for such amazing donuts. Make the trip to visit this place, you won't be disappointed!

The donuts are very good! The texture has a perfect crisp bite while a super soft dough with eat bite! They have many different flavors to choose from and both small donuts and normal sized donuts. The downside is there is no place to sit to enjoy the near the store and the donuts are pretty expensive while the prices are not easily found on the menu or online. It was super busy when we stopped by and the taste of the donuts makes it clear why this was the case!

These Lemon Blueberry Poundcakes have been elusive. So damn good. Worth the trip. Beautiful location.

Donuts: 10/10 Stop Playing after my cycle class I walked over to knowing exactly I was getting SOME donuts. I was super excited.... 1. BLACK OWNED 2. DONUTS SMELLED AMAZING 3. CUTE SPOT The two owners were there that day so I got analyzing view of these two beautiful work and baby the service was sweet, knowledgeable and just beyond welcoming. The powdered donuts SMH so light and fluffy and hit with powdered sugar sweet sooooo GOOD The rose raspberry donut w/ infused alcohol was hitting. I thought the raspberry would overpower NOPE every bite was filled with a different flavor of fruit and silky donut.

I was so excited to try these. Drove an hour to come try and I was shocked at how small the donuts were for the price. I spent $15 for 2 tiny donuts. They were tasty but I will not be back....... Also I was shocked when they said they had NO BATHROOM for customers.

I've been to Cloudy Donut twice - I highly recommend the pistachio donut for pistachio lovers. My other love is lemon but I like my lemon tart and a lot of places disappoint by adding too much sugar. Cloudy Donut does a really good job by not over sweetening them. I know they can make them more tart. I would love to purchase a lemon lovers box with both creamy and tart lemon items. They do an excellent job with poundcake - you want to get the sweet potato pound cake and the lemon blueberry pound cake. I received an email about an olive oil lemon cake and went running to find out it would be available over the weekend lol I will be heading back for it. I've only been to the Spring St location but will make my way over to the Brooklyn location shortly. Customer service is excellent and the space is very clean.

I'm so happy Cloudy Donut is now in Brooklyn! I've been looking forward to the opening of this black-owned, vegan donut shop for months, and the donuts and other sweet treats surpassed all my expectations. The lines have been down the block, and they sell out quickly, but they are absolutely worth the wait. We were only able to try one donut and two cookies on grand opening weekend since we showed up an hour after opening and that was all they had left, so we made sure to come earlier this weekend to make sure we could try more. After two weekends, we've tried six different donuts, two types of cookies, and their cinnamon roll. Everything was excellent, and I love that the donuts are light, fluffy, and sweet without being too sweet. So far, my favorite donuts are the cookies and cream, pistachio, and berry sugar, and the cinnamon roll is equally fantastic. I can't wait to try even more!

Absolutely LOVE this place!! From the cute & uplifting messaging & lovely customer service, the amazing donuts are the cherry on top! The delicious different flavors are top tier. They aren't too sweet, literally just right. And it's so wonderful that they are all vegan(so I won't be drowsy & tired after eating 4). Highly recommend visiting if you're in Brooklyn or just visiting, you won't be disappointed. Lastly prepare to spend $$ because these aren't regular donuts, good, healthy ingredients, time & love is put into each donut. Tell a friend to tell a friend!

Cloudy Donut Co is my guilty pleasure! After solidcore I head straight here. My favorite flavors include: peanut butter and jelly, red velvet, banana fosters, s'mores, powdered and cinnamon rolls (not the sweet potato). Service is always great and the ambience is calm.

dang. Who knew you could create such a light and airy vegan donut?! Seriously amazing texture on these. I'm one woman so only got one donut - my bananas foster was good but I was only getting the full flavor in the banana bites, but am keen to come back to try other flavors. A bit of a line, but staff was v friendly :)

Found out these weren't vegan. The guy who owns it is from Baltimore and hires workers to make regular donuts. Then tells you it's vegan and purposely doesn't show pricing. The best place in Brooklyn is Doughnut Plant

For a vegan doughnut spot the flavors are insane, and shush some have alcohol. But you did and I mean did hear that from me. It's like the crumble of doughnuts with weekly flavors and definitely will have something for everyone. And they even had sweet potatoe cinnamon rolls

Are the products good, absolutely, small but good. However, the prices, not so much. They are not posted which should have been red flag. Honestly, I thought I was being scammed. I emailed the company to find the exact prices but received no answer.

The aesthetics is captivating from the door. Clean lines, well lit and inviting. I heard about this establishment online and the reviews are accurate. All the donuts are vegan and they do not disappoint. Service was warm and friendly which is always a plus. It wasn't easy to find and parking was a challenge which is the only reason they received 4 stars. I'll be visit again the next time in NYC.

Get here early so you don't miss out on the great selection. I hear they sell out daily. They have 8-10 different types of donuts. They have donut holes and flavored rolls. They are going to need go back to calling these doughnuts because these bagel sized balls of sugar are huge! The flavors are great, however if it is glazed the flavors tend to lack as you get through the doughnut. But the ones that are filled....yummy! Lemon roll was delicious Banana fosters contain alcohol...yum Blueberry glazed is very doughy but still flavorful. These doughnuts are not cheap. Nearly $6 per and $8 for the cinnamon rolls. Geez. Get me a bacon egg and cheese with a bev for less. This will be my contributions to this black owned business. I can't afford to make this a regular visit at these prices.

Amazing donuts in Brooklyn Heights. I am always on the lookout for good vegan donuts and NYC only has one other all-vegan donut shop so Cloudy brings the competition! The maple butter pecan, brown butter chocolate chip, and powdered sugar donuts were all excellent. I will absolutely be back!!

My favorite vegan donut bakery, the flavors are unique with an occasional seasonal flavor along with other deserts like loafs, etc. The owners and the Doughnistas service is second to none (as I would call them because the way they prep these soft confectionary treats are just like your favorite hit of joe from your fave major coffee brand(s)) The cloudy donut sign brings a great selfie and photo-op for you to take pics right before you place your order or after.

I want to be happy and excited about a vegan donut place in Brooklyn Heights -- but the inventory management has caused a lot the excitement to die. I went once w my sister at 11 am (photo below) and ~30ish donuts were straight out of the oven. There were about 6 flavors. They were definitely tasty but wanted to try another before I formed my opinion. There was no line at that time. The next two times I came back -- once at 1pm and once at 3pm on Saturday and then Sunday (the same weekend), they were out of donuts. The first time, they were out of dough. The second time, they only had cinnamon rolls available. No updates re stock were given on instagram. I guess you can attempt calling before heading over. But now I really don't want to make the effort to go an hour away to the location because it feels very unreliable. Why have a donut shop if you are not planning to have stock? It seems that it's very common to run out of supplies and for donuts not to be available.

In a word... divine. Stumbled across Cloudy Donuts while on a walk in Brooklyn. Blown away by the space, the product and mission statement. The founders are fabulous, they are in the shop connecting with customers and the community. Do not sleep on this business.

So yummy! I can't believe all of these donuts are vegan! I went on a Saturday morning and there was a pretty short line which was surprising. I tried a brown butter chocolate chip, sexual chocolate, and red velvet donuts. All were great but the brown butter chocolate chip was definitely my favorite! Would definitely recommend grabbing some donuts and hanging out in Brooklyn bridge park with them.

They put high value on their inclusivity and the love of their community. How was it?: I could not choose just one! I had their "Sweet  Potato Cinnamon Roll" which was highlighted with sweet potato filling on the inside. My favorite was the "Blueberry Sage" donut. Who would ever think blueberries and sage could be paired together? But it was just right! And the blueberries on top really amplified the taste. I also tried the "Banana Foster" donut. I love just about anything made with bananas, and this was no disappointment at all

I must admit, when news came to the area that a donut shop (vegan nonetheless) was scheduled to open on a tiny block in the heights, I was a bit skeptical about success possibilities. However, hubs became a quick fan, and albeit I'm not a dessert fan, I begrudgingly followed suit. Black-Owned and Absolutely Divine! Oddly enough, this post comes as a result of their newest offering: Nitro Cold Brew (made with Oatmilk)! I finished one awaiting my order revision (I added more donuts). It was so Delish that I ordered another to indulge in later! Hands down the greatest new addition to the neighborhood in a long time!
