Watch the Bonus Episode of ‘Queer Eye’ Set in Yass, Australia | Eater
"A small, dowdy pub in Yass that gets a light-touch makeover from the Queer Eye team: interior designer Bobby Berk strips the space back to some of its original elements and brings in rustic furniture to create a warmer, more inviting atmosphere, while Antoni Porowski teaches the owner an approachable “Australian tapas” dish—brioche toast topped with sautéed mushrooms, cream cheese, and Vegemite. The short segment also shows local farmer George debuting a fresh new grooming look inside the revamped bar, with the overall transformation played for an upbeat, amusing feel rather than deep emotional drama." - Greg Morabito
Only stopped in for a quick meal.
Had the Bruschetta and Potato wedges.
Both very generous servings and we didn't end up eating all of it let alone ordering a mains. (my eyes were bigger than my stomach)
The wedges especially were most excellent and I've never seen them done this way., had plenty of sweet chilli and sour cream to dip them in.
Nice pub, very friendly staff.
Only down side the ambient music is too loud to have a quiet conversation.

If you’re a weary traveller & you love music reverberating through ur very average room until 11 pm at night, this place is for you. Fortunately no coffee or tea facilities to conflict you in the mornings. I like to try and support pubs as I travel, but I think this place is a solid PASS.

Yass picnic races and a 30 min queue for food and drinks. clearly a lack of staff on for a very busy day. The team working did their best but surely having all bars open and a full team on for such a busy day is a no brainer.
And when the food arrived no cutlery or napkins... Unbelievable
Also a bub that doesn't have rugby on.. hopeless

Last minute booking, you get what you pay for, shared showers and toilets, rooms are decent and clean. Service is good and the food is awesome. To be fair it's a pretty good place and I would definitely stay here again if I was passing through.

Stopped in for a coldie over the wood and ended up getting lunch. 300gm rump steak, chips and salad, $25 cooked absolutely perfectly. Great service!

We rocked up to this motel after a 650km bike ride and were blown away with how beautiful the pub was and the food was sensational. A special shout out to bar man Greg and Izzy for top notch service!
