Sandwiches were extremely flavorful and juicy! Don’t pass up on their Blazin’ Fries with their comeback sauce! Dine-In area is clean and the customer service here was excellent as well. As far as my hot chicken sandwich experiences go thus far in life, this place has made it to my Top 3 hot chicken sandwich spots.

We have visited this establishment before and can attest that the chicken quality has declined, as it now tastes like frozen chicken, a notable difference from our previous experiences.The Main Chick and Cluckin’ Mac we ordered were not satisfactory. The sandwiches were warm and lacked freshness. The French fries were excessively salty. My husband's tater tots were cold and chicken-free, consisting of mere crumbs. The experience fell short. The only satisfying experience was watching the NFL draft 2025.

Make ** The ** Pilgrimage! They don't call your name until they're sliding the chicken, still crackling from the fryer, directly onto the bun. No heat lamp. No delay. Just immediate delivery of molten, spicy bliss. "Someone call the morgue!" I heard them say... It stayed scorching from first bite to last. That, my friends, is a hot meal done right. It was, without exaggeration, the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.

Husband and I really enjoyed our food! A little bit salty but the coleslaw evened it out. Honestly I'm not a big fan of coleslaw but this paired great with the chicken sandwich! The chicken was HUGE! It definitely kept me filled up for the ride home. The Mac & Cheese noodles were also thick which I really liked because it makes it that more fulfilling. I just want to add that Julia was such a sweetheart and I wish we had time to stay and eat because she lights up the place! Next time I think I'd want to kick up the heat but I was worried it might be too spicy for the drive back, haha. If we're ever in town for longer I would go again! Thank you for serving us!

My first time here let me first start out they definitely make your food fresh there can be a bit wait but they literally gave us a free Mac & cheese for the wait the food is perfectly made & delicious but I will say they should add more flavor to the max & cheese it tasted kind of plain but other than that great customer service! They were really nice and gave us recommendations! I am definitely going back to try other flavors of spice ! Loved it ! Plus that sauce is BOMB !

I was super impressed with the changes that have been made since I was here last (grand opening week). Both the aesthetics of the location and the quality of the food have dramatically improved. I got the Side Chick Combo with Mac & Cheese. They let you choose different spice levels for each of the sliders. I chose medium and hot. The heat on the hot was perfect. It was not too hot to enjoy but also hot enough to get my nose running. The buns used on the sliders were very pillowy and buttery. The slaw and the pickles were perfect. The mac & cheese was super creamy and not mushy. Super impressed all the way around and I won't wait so long next time to make me way back.

My Husband and I traveled the nation to where ever the food took us and that included Nashville where we experienced the "OG" hot chicken spot... Unfortunately the OG place we tried was legit horrid (tasted like straight cayenne powder with absolutely no flavor), so not gonna lie we were hesitant to give hot chicken a try again. Cluck n Blaze Caught our eye with their crazy sandwiches and burritos so we finally pulled the trigger and we are SO GLAD that we did! Like WOOOOWWW!!! Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE flavors, crunch, juiciness, spice, EVERYTHING! They seriously saved hot chicken for us and have been OUR FAVORITE that we've tried, as we've tried a couple more spots since, but cluck n blaze continues to out perform all others! We ordered the Plan B and the Breakfast Burrito "Jerry Style" and damn that comeback sauce is so freaken addicting! We've been multiple times and every time that cook on that chicken "slaps" as the kids say these days! We've also had their loaded tacos and mac n cheese with chicken as well!! Our fav was the Plan B and Jerry Style Burrito for sure, but also LOVED the large chicken inside the tacos! We can't recommend Cluck & blaze enough! We will tell you that they have taken a concept from Nashville and MASSIVELY out performed the OG place! They are a MUST if you like flavorful, juicy, crispy chicken with a kick! Random note: We were in town and had won their Thanksgiving giveaway for the Nashville turkey... YYYYEEESSSSS!!! Can't believe HOW WELL the flavors seeped into the juicy crispy turkey! It took Thanksgiving to the next level! If you can be sure to order a Turkey from them to impress your guest at your Next Thanksgiving gathering!!!

The food was delicious and made to order. Had excellent customer service by George, the store manager. He answered some of my questions regarding the menu items. He was so helpful, said I can always ask for a sample of the sauce before I order, just in case it would be too spicy for my taste.

5-Star Review Tried Cluck & Blaze for the first time and it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the 2-piece chicken tenders, which came with bread and a side of pickles, and everything was seasoned perfectly. The tenders were crispy, juicy, and full of flavor -- exactly what you want from a chicken spot. My kids got the chicken burger and the chicken bites with tater tots, and they cleaned their plates. The "comeback sauce" was a big hit at our table too -- super tasty and went great with everything. We even finished off the meal with their banana pudding, which was surprisingly good and a great way to end the meal. Overall, we all enjoyed our food and had a great experience. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

This may be the most underrated breakfast burrito in Long Beach. I mean, I would think that a Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Breakfast Burrito would be on everybody's hit list, but it's surprisingly empty every time that I come in here.  This burrito is awesome. The nashville hot chicken is so crispy and flavorful. I get medium/hot depending on how I'm feeling. It's actually pretty spicy though! I think this burrito is just crafted really well, like the scrambled egg is not just scrambled and thrown into the burrito. THey cook it in a thin sheet, and roll it up with the burrito, so you get an even bite of egg (and everything else) throughout the burrito. The hashbrowns inside are also preferable to just plain potatoes in any breakfast burrito. It's cheesy, and that sauce is really good too. Maybe even get some extra sauce on the side to cut the heat.  It's bomb, and you should put this on your list of must-have breakfast burritos in Long Beach.

The breakfast burrito leaves something to be desired. I came here after work to grab a quick bite before heading home. I got the original Nashville breakfast burrito and felt like it was missing something... or maybe two things. The flavor was pretty mild and the chicken was dry. I tried compensating for it with some hot sauce to help fill it back in but it could only do so much. The service was good. The worker took my order promptly and accurately. The wait wasn't terrible but a bit longer than I expected - it was also a hot day but felt even hotter in the restaurant. They do have indoor seating, which is nice, but I wouldn't want to sit inside unless it was a cold day and I needed to stay warm. Overall, it's ok to try, I don't know if I'd try it again. I don't think I'll go out of my way to try it again, but if someone suggests it then I'll get something

The cluckin mac is the best!! This place is a hidden gem in Long Beach. Service is fast!

Holy smokes the chicken is delicious. I had the tenders, Mac n Cheese and side of fries. Service was great, order was made just right. Place was was really clean and chill. Very good Nashville style chicken.

You don't talk to anyone, you walk in and input what you want via a touch screen. Not bad but a first timer may have some questions and maybe they could answer them for you, but when I went in there was no one there. Ok on to the food, it's a chicken sando, seems like everyone is doing the Hot Chicken. For me it's not something I crave as I think the hotter it is the less I like it so I got the first level up. It was ok but for Me, the star is the pickles, sauce and slaw. IF I ever come back I'll just get the regular plain cowardly style. BUT, for $18-19 just for a sandwich? I'd say it's too high. I mean KFC or Popeyes for the cost works for me. I love the small businesses and hope they succeed but for the money I don't see it. Good Luck

The boys are craving fried chicken and we are on the hunt for it ! Let me tell you they were not joking when they say "call mom" it is spicy ! I got myself their famous clucking fries and it is surprisingly good! The boys love it so we're all happy .The new owners are sweet and polite ! Definitely coming back !

I moved away from Long Beach so haven't been here in a really long time. Had it last night & was so surprised at how much the quality of the food has declined given it was my fav chicken place. I used to not be able to finish the Main Chick combo - this time i finished it easily and was hungry again 2 hours later. The chicken feels smaller, pretty dry and the sandwich overall didn't look as hearty as it used to. Idk if its skimping on portions but quality is not the same. Bring back the old Cluck & Blaze! There's a lot of competition out there (like Dave's) so it's sad to see them lose customers.

Not sure what happened, but medium don't even feel like a lite mild. Fries tasted like freezer burn. Mac n cheese is okay, but it was overdone. Service is quick, but when you pay over $19. You expect better tasting HOT chicken. They have tv's and music. No restroom. Sad that this place has lost its touch.

The service is very good and fast. The owners are very friendly. The price is very affordable and very delicious. I highly recommend this place. My favorite of the menu is breakfast burritos.

I went there for my LA trip. I searched yield for spicy chicken and oh my god this place made me want to go again and again, the spicy chicken sandwich was amazing. You can add more spicy as you can. Plus their service is wonderful. I recommend this place if you visit LA.

It's been a long minute, the food is still good but it has lost it's glam. The place isn't as busy as it used to be and the staff is friendly enough but it's become so close to a self serve location. You order at the tablet and then wait to be called to the counter to pick up your food. It's overall clean more so because it so quiet and most orders are pick up. Prices have gotten a little too steep since the last time I ordered anything from here but for once in a while cravings I'll still come back.

Ill start with this was a total waste of money, i actually threw it away. 30$ wasted and I'm pissed. I placed an order on doordash for the tenders and mac n cheese, which arrived without issue. Upon first glance they looked okay but after cutting one in half, I was very saddened. The batter was flaking off like no other, the chicken itself is terrible. I'd rather have mcdonald's chicken nuggets over this, all day, any day. The chicken is odd, both taste, smell, and texture. (I'll update the review if I get sick). The mac and cheese was terrible as well. I have no idea what sauce/cheese they use but it tasted very watered down. It seems to me like they add flour or some thickening agent because the texture is very weird as well. I've honestly never been so disappointed with a place than this. Plus I'm now gonna have to spend even more somewhere else just to have lunch. I work graveyard shift so this was a total let down and waste. I'd highly highly recommen going to literally any other chicken place than this.

Staff committed to quality, freshness and customer service. Got full off of the breakfast burrito, it tastes amazing AND open late! Clean dining area, restrooms and transparency (can literally look over counter and see what the kitchen is up to). will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu

Not sure why all the good reviews. I ordered the chicken strip combo with NO PICKLES. Repeatedly said it as I am very sensitive to pickling spice. When the order came up, I saw the young man take it back and then put it back in the window. My gut told me he screwed up and removed the pickles vs. remaking it. When I got it home, the strips were covered in pickle seeds and juice. The tenders were not crispy at all. Very little flavor. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese. So for two strips, fries and ma, was over $20. I know prices have gone up but in the least they could make orders right and improve quality. Will NOT be back.

I had the Nashville hot breakfast burrito and it was tasty! It is a tad bit on the heavy side for a breakfast burrito in the morning but if you love nashville hot chicken and breakfast burritos, they do it pretty well. I do like the tater tots they add into the burrito as their potato. The staff is very nice and the order came out very quickly. There is indoor and outdoor seating at this place.

5 stars is for the food. You do not talk to anyone and order on the tablet but that's understandable thanks to Newsum raising all the fast food wages in California so businesses can lo longer afford to pay workers causing layoffs and less human contact these days. The chicken was tasty and cooked perfectly plus not too greasy feeling. I got one lower than the most spicy and it had a good amount of heat. My eyes were watering but worth it. My kids loved the mac and cheese. I have tried many hot chicken places including Howlin Rays and this one is up there with the good ones without traveling too far and waiting in line. I will definitely return..

updating my review: I don't know what happened to Cluck & Blaze, but the quality has completely gone downhill. I used to enjoy coming here, but my last visit was a disaster. The chicken was so cold, it was almost frozen in the middle -- like it had just come out of a fridge and barely touched a fryer. Completely ruined my appetite. The flavor was bland, the texture was off, and nothing tasted fresh. Whatever standards they used to have are clearly gone. Definitely not coming back unless they seriously get it together. I used to love this place but now it's one of the worst hot chicken places besides the fact that it is halal.

I felt the burger tasted, in the most respectful way possible, typical. The mac & cheese I would say was the tastiest item from what we ate. Personally, I found the fries also tasted mediocre. The worker who helped us was very nice and gave us some recommendations on what we should eat. It's also really nice that they support the Special Olympics! My review will be based on the food alone and not the service nor ambiance. - The Main Chick Combo (Medium Spice): The fries tasted average and like it was probably frozen which is understandable with the price point but I do feel it makes the fries a separate entity from the toppings it was cooked with. The spice (not spiciness) overpowers the flavor on the burger. 3/5 - Cluckin' Mac: this tasted pretty good! Nicely junky. Fulfills craving for mac n cheese. (4/5)

Use to always go to another chicken spot. Since I found this place, this is my go to chicken spot. I have a lot of different items that I like to order but overall everything always is delicious. The Mac is the best though imo. Always easy to get in and out of here. Fast service and always clean.

My husband and I saw an reel on Instagram that sold us on a Friday night adventure out to Long Beach to try cluck & blaze! Portions are hefty and menu has a lot of good options. We got the medium spice and don't think we could have gone any hotter. Mild or medium is probably best for those that like heat but don't want the meal ruined by it. Minus one star because it is not the best hot chicken I have had recently but it was definitely worth the try!

This place is ok. I think it's a bit pricier for what you get. I ordered the Mac and cheese and a chicken sandwich. The Mac and cheese itself did not have flavor until you pair it with the spice level you ordered. Sauces and drinks are sold separately, so just an FYI. The chicken sandwich is a bit crunchy, so that's a new compared to other chicken sandwich spots. Other than that, the space looks inviting and straightforward. The lady at the front was quick to answer any questions I had so thanks for that!

Writing this as I eat right now. Had a quick question about my order and the cashier snapped back at me. At least apologize and have some professionalism. I would have happily paid for anything additional if the cashier wasn't so rude, or even just acknowledge that she snapped. Thought about going to the manager, but I'm trying to enjoy my day off. ***Most importantly, I was parked outside waiting for my food. Right when I was notified, came in to pick it up. Food tasted "LUKEWARM AT BEST". Probably will go to Dave's Hot Chicken next time, or at least not come here on Sundays.

we came in for a late lunch around 3pm after the LB Antique Market. We didn't want to eat too much to mess up dinner. however, we were overwhelmed with the size of the 2 orders. We could have ordered 1 and shared and it would have been enough. As it turned out we had to pack up the Cluckin' Mac for later. unfortunately I felt like we didn't order correctly as both these menu items had only small pieces of chicken, so we couldn't judge the chicken vs if we had a whole chicken piece. I think there're more trimmings than chicken pieces in these 2 items...lots of carbs (mac/tortilla +potatoes) server was kind enough to give us samples of mild and medium spicy, we went to mild as it still has a little spicy kick which was enough for us. soft drink was refillable and we had 4 cups since we've just walked 3.5hrs and came in thirsty. the place is clean and server cleaned up right after the table was cleared from the previous customers. If I'm in the neighborhood again, I would come back to try other menu items with whole chicken pieces.

Writing this review in their parking lot after a $36 purchase. Ordered the main chick (medium) w/ coleslaw, the cluckin' mac (hot), and a tender (extra hot). Everything was incredibly BLAND and expensive given the quality/taste. Cluckin mac was recommended by the woman behind the counter and it had no seasoning, flavor or spice, I would not recommend this. The chicken in it isn't coated in any spice either, it's a plain tender with bland fries, bland mac and a dusting of powder on top of the mac that gets lost. Super disappointing. The main chick was bland and the coleslaw tasted like watered down salad. The tender was the only potentially redeeming item. Everything, while technically edible, felt like a rip off and I wish I could get my money back. Would not recommend. Try any other Nashville hot chicken place - even Dave's is better. Also, the containers were covered in oil/seasoning. I understand things can get messy, but the store was empty and there were no orders. All around a disappointing experience

Change in ownership? This place used to be my go-to for hot sandwiches but the quality has gone downhill. It no longer tastes as good as I remember it being. The fries are soggy and stale. It probably has to do with the fact they are now crinkle cut fries. Also, I used to have points saved up but I think they changed their online ordering system so my old account no longer exists. I usually order online and pick up in store since it's the fastest and easiest option. It does require less interaction with the workers but wow, did the cashier still radiate a rude energy. I didn't get her name but she seemed so unbothered with a nasty attitude. Her acrylic nails were nicer than her face. I went up to the counter to pick up my food and she didn't even greet me or help me in the slightest. There was simply no verbal communication from her but from her presence, you can tell she doesn't want to be there. I wouldn't recommend this place to people anymore.

Have gone only a couple of times but The Main Chick and the Plan B are official favs for me. Great service and the taste was great. Everything you would want in a spicy chicken sandwich with fries. We recommended.

4 years since my last review and this place still pushes out quality and consistency. The facility remains squeaky clean and their sandwiches are amazing. Today I tried their Mac and cheese along with the main chick sandwich (medium heat). This was my first time having the Mac and it's pretty dang good. I was also shocked how quickly they got my food out. Under 5 minutes. Keep up the good work guys!

Iv been coming here for a while and ordered multiple things. Apart from the pics posted, Iv also had the tender combo with fries. My experience with here has been for the most part great with the food, service and place is always clean. The cluckin Mac is my favorite, as it has Mac, fries and chicken topped with paprika. It's some of the best creamy Mac iv had, and fries and chicken are well done as well. However with my most recent order chicken was kind of dry. Hopefully this is just a one time accident. The tender combo is best iv had quality wise, as the tenders are big and juicy. It's also the most expensive of 3 at around $15, but I'd still recommend it. The breakfast burrito was just ok, I thought I would like it but wasn't really a fan of the chicken/fries/egg/ in a burrito combination. Lacks flavor but will still fill you up. Still great place to satisfy your chicken cravings!

Not too bad, honestly! We came here for brunch on the drive back to San Diego. Parking: street parking is fairly easy, but I can see this area getting busy during rush hour. We ordered a chicken sandwich that came with fries/tater tots, and also a breakfast burrito. I enjoyed everything we ate - the spicy level wasn't too spicy, so I would up it next time I come here. Breakfast burrito was a bit overwhelming for me due to all the textures happening, so I might not lean towards this next time.

Got the side chick sandwich. It was great as it is and the perfect size for me. On top of that, fast and friendly service. Definitely will come back and recommend this place.

You might be caught inbetween the decision of coming here or the other [undisclosed] chicken shop but come here! Cluck & Blaze has a stronger brand identity, there are a lot of cute elements in the packaging and food display that lean into the goofiness of hot chicken. The toothpick even has a level of detail and attention. Additionally, when it comes to a fried chicken shop, I like to see a menu that utilizes multiple parts of the chicken for different tastes. It's what differentiates it from a spot that typically sells chicken and sides, it's how they prepare the chicken. It's a very insular type of menu that makes sense. They're using whole parts of the chicken, and I encourage you to take the order bones and all. There has been a rising popularity in hot chicken, and we're seeing commercial branches be made, but to me, this place did it first and they did it the best. The seasoning rub is also just the amount of burn-your-butt hot that allows you to complete and enjoy the meal. Be mindful that it is fried in peanut oil so it is not allergen friendly.

If you're looking for some delicious fried chicken in the Long Beach area, try Cluck & Blaze! I've been multiple times, and the hot fried chicken is usually pretty solid. The chicken is juicy, and there's good flavor. You can customize the spicy level of your chicken. I've tried the Main Chick (chicken sandwich), Plan B (Chicken sandwich with cheese, tots, egg), Nashville hot breakfast burrito, the Cluckin fries, and the Cluckin Mac. I like the sandwiches the best, but they're all pretty tasty. I feel like the mac n cheese and coleslaw could use a bit more flavor though. The staff is very friendly! Street parking, and depending on when you come, it can be a little crowded.

FOR TAKEOUT USING YELP APP I have not eaten here in person, but I just ordered 2 breakfast burritos using the food delivery option on Yelp. First off, there were so many fees that the order was almost $9 more. Before tipping, the total came out to $21 per burrito with all of the fees. Secondly, the person who dropped off my food was supposed to call/text to when they arrived. Instead the delivery person left the food at the bottom of my complex's stairs after texting me that she had left it in front of my door... I am in an upstairs unit in the middle of the complex, so clearly that was off. As far as the food goes, we were impressed that it was still mildly warm temperature-wise, but I wish it came with more sauce to put on it so I highly recommend buying additional sauce.

I ordered the side chick sandwich with fries. Chicken light mild. Either I was hungry or everything tasted good. The Mac is a must try! I'm a home cooked kind of Mac and cheese girl but this one was the best Mac I had that you can order. It took about 10 minutes before we were actually asked how are night was. You order straight from a kiosk so there's not much personal interaction. Seating area is chill and I'd go back again. At least for the Mac.

Was next door drinking tea and decided to give this place a try. 3 stars because the wait was excruciating. Wanted a quick bite to eat and there was nothing quick about it. I'd never return solely based on the wait time. Tried the chicken strips w potato tots and coleslaw. Thought it was kind of pricey for the amount of food we got and also the strips were incunproportional. Everything taste ok nothing exceptional that would warrant the wait or the return. Medium was pretty spicy and spicy was over the top. Five + stars for the service. Everyone who worked there was awesome. The girl even offered a taste test just to make sure I can handle medium spice which was quite spicy.

The chicken sandwich was so delicious that I let out an involuntary "mh!" I got it in medium and it had only a slight spice. Next time, I'll try the level above it. Not to mention, the chicken was fresh, tender, and crunchy. The mac & cheese was also a 5/5. The best mac & cheese I've ever had in my life. There's a specific unique flavor in there that elevates everything. My new go to chicken place. Service was normal. Not really important to me. I went on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy at all. Unexpected for a place that serves such delicious food.

After our long drive, my group was looking for a good place to eat and this place hit the spot. The chicken was great, juicy, and hit our spice cravings. The Mac and Cheese was really creamy and had great cheese. Our server was really nice and gave us excellent service. Overall, I would come here again!

If you are lookin for true heat, stop here. The heat is real, and call mom was no joke. I was sweating, heading to the bathroom for more paper towels (since they have none out.. odd) as I was going to eat as much of this as I could. The tots were good nothing special, and the sauce was like canes, mayo esq. They do give free milk, which is hilarious... 5 stars if they had a drink station, napkin station, and non-baby-sized water cups. The sandwich is the real deal, and your first time? ask to sample the heat!
