Google
Noticed a couple weeks ago a new chicken joint was in this spot and a post on my tiktok algorithm by them while I was hungry pushed me to actually go. So glad I did! Got the chicken sandwich combo and it was delicious, huge chicken patty honestly made for a fun eating experience where you taste the chicken itself, then add the Cole slaw, then the pineapple and pickle come in next. Appreciate the layers to the experience! The waffle fries are amazing. I actually usually don’t tend to like waffle fries as i feel they are usually floppy/not well cooked (at least when i get them from chik fil a) but these ones were 1) very well seasoned and 2) crispy as heck! I very much enjoyed them. The customer service was amazing, the lady at the counter was super nice and brought food straight to our table and made sure we had everything we needed before chowing down. I’m gonna go back and get the sandwich again today- been craving since I went! I highly recommend trying this spot out - I can’t wait to try the other items as well :)

Google
the spicy chicken sandwich combo was so goood. the chicken was juicy & the waffle fries were so yummy! kind of hard to see from the photo, but the chicken was HUGE — definitely worth the price. the workers are also very sweet too! would definitely come back :)

Google
The mac 'n cheese bites were pretty good but the fried chicken itself was just okay. Large portions but kinda pricey. The waffle fries were cold and pretty hard by the time we got home and my order was already just sitting out on the cabinet, including the fountain drinks, when I got there even though I got there faster than the time I told them it would take me. Still looking for a good fried chicken place to replace Heaven Sent😢

Google
This is my second time eating here and the chicken sandwich has been 10 out of 10 both times. The house sauce is fantastic I love it. The fries were hot crispy and seasoned battered. The staff is nice and the place is clean it is a great addition to the lake City food scene.

Google
I visited here which was Right next to Starbucks. I figured eating chicken strips beat eating banana bread for lunch and I was right on! I was super impressed with the spicy chicken (forgot the pictures. Was busy eating LOL) It was just right amount of seasoning rather than being faming hot. Their mashed potatoes taste exactly like Ezelle’s which I loveeeeeee. I ended up ordering a few specials for take home for my family. Will visit again!

Google
The chicken was barely breaded but crunchy skin and juicy inside, roll looks like the same as Heaven Sent (last chicken joint) but tasteless. Prices are astronomical, for 2 pieces and a tasteless butter roll, it costs $13.19 after tax. Thats more than KFC charges. 😳 It was kind of an emergency stop here for chicken and I wanted to try it. Might try again but its my last choice for chicken.

Google
I ordered 8 pieces meal with half regular and half spicy. Chicken have no taste and dry. No flavor or seasoning. Roll is warm and soft. I didnt finish it and have to throw it away. This place is pricy, I dont think i will go there again.

Google
Ordered a couple things, chicken & rice entree, the rice is soggy soaked with grease. The chicken bites on top are over sauced and soggy also. The spicy chicken sandwich combo was horrible, chicken is dry and barely swallow the bite I took. The prices are ridiculous for a chicken store that’s barely worth it. The lemonade was surprisingly good. I’d buy a snack next door at Starbucks, take my word. You’ll waste your money here.

Yelp
I made a spontaneous detour on the way home from work to check out Cluck and Crunch (10/10/25). This business took over the former Ezell Stephens spot, Heaven Sent. I appreciate the marked parking slots out front, because the rest of the adjacent shared lot seems to be all Starbucks customers, since the former Walgreens is long closed. Updated interior, especially new floors. Ordering can be made at the counter or via self serve kiosk. I opted for the latter which was straightforward. The bucket selected contained both the 8 piece fried chicken and 4 rolls...all freshly prepared and remained warm on the drive home. Nicely packaged for takeout and experienced pleasant, expedient customer service during my visit. Go Mariners!

Yelp
I've been curious about Cluck and Crunch and yesterday, I finally got to try it. I came in and used the kiosk to place an order for takeout. The lady working there was really sweet. I only had to wait about 5 mins for a bucket of chicken. Their chicken was ok. The skin was crunchy and has flavor. The meat, however, was unfortunately bland. The gravy was thin and could also use more flavor. We also tried their signature sauce and it was good.

Yelp
Very interesting and delicious chicken. This used to be the old Heaven Sent location by the owner of Ezells, Mr. Ezell. A seattle fried chicken favorite from when I was a student at Garfield and got my tenders and Faigo back in 9 fo to 9 eight in the CD. I don't recall when Heaven sent opened up but it was equally as delicious. This new restaurants chicken was juicy, crispy, and had some fusion spices. It reminded me of a Korean inspired batter. The fries were standard and it was a refreshing addition to the lake city food options. I would return as I got the chicken to go and still piping hot. Service was excellent and ambiance was nice. Free parking a plus and the location is close to Brown Bear car wash. Maybe get the chicken after the car wash. You do get a free air freshener from Brown Bear so your car doesn't smell like fried food.

Yelp
Service was great, friendly staff. Prices are reasonable w/ today's eating out costs. I ordered a 2 pieces meal. Waffle fries were great! Seasoned & the right kind of crunchy. The chicken just wasn't up to par. I know 2-3 different bodegas in Seattle that have much better chicken.

Yelp
New biz alert! Cluck & Crunch recently opened in the old Heaven Sent location. When I entered, I asked the employee at the counter what type of fried chicken they served. She said they had basically the Ezell's/Heaven Sent chicken and had permission to make this from Ezell. The also had some of the same sides and replaced others and, of course, the famous rolls. I expected the food to be almost the same but it was noticeably different. I ordered the 2 piece combo (Thigh & Drumstick) which cme with fries and a drink. I asked if I could substitute the fries for a different side and she said no. That sucks because I really would've liked to try their mac n cheese. They should be more flexible on substitutions. The rolls were not as sweet and soft like Ezell's. They were harder and sort of like day old and not sweet at all. The chicken was decent but again, not as good as Ezell's. The pieces were smaller and the coating was thinner and not as tasty. I ordered spicy but am pretty sure I got the non spicy chicken. I liked the waffle fries and believe that to be an improvement over Ezell's. All else was unfortunately worse. I would love to try this place again in the future and see if things are better after the newness settles down.

Yelp
The spicy chicken sandwich is absolutely incredible. The actual fried chicken leaves a lot to be desired. There's not much flavor in the breading. My biggest gripe was the price of the side of pickles. $5.15 for 5 pickle slices is absolutely outrageous. For that amount of money, I was expecting a small deli container. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Best chicken sandwich I have had in many many years!! Just ORDER the chicken sandwich!! The sauce is amazing! It's a HUGE sandwich too!!

Yelp
Fried chicken needs seasoning. QFC chicken has more flavor for half the price. Staff was friendly.

Russell K.

Yelp
The sandwich may be OK. You can drown it in sauce. I didn't try the spicy fried chicken. The regular fried chicken has no seasoning. There must be some salt, but is not salty. As for herbs and spices, none are used. The breast was moist. The drumstick was dry. Wings are tiny. The place is welcoming enough. Electronic ordering is preferred.

Yelp
Amazing chicken! Fresh halal premium chicken. Such clean and healthy chicken. Don't need anything else. Very satisfying

Yelp
First, let's get this out of the way - the fried chicken is not as good as Heaven Sent, the restaurant this replaced. That said, this place is still recommendable. Ordered: 1) 2 piece, thigh and drumstick, spicy. Thigh was very good. A bit small but juicy, lots of crunch. Spicy version was truly spicy. Took me by surprise but enjoyed it. Drumstick was overcooked and dry. 5/10. 2) chicken sandwich. Chicken breast was large, and was juicy and tender enough, but not remarkably so. Chicken had more of a breaded texture rather than fried. Sandwich massively helped out by the slaw and pickles, which I think way more of would have helped. 7.5/10 3) chicken wings, garlic teriyaki. Sauce was put in a cup on the side which I'm thankful for because it was truly awful. The chicken wings themselves were meaty, perfectly crunchy, and would have been 9/10 if they were seasoned a little bit more. As they were, these were 3/10, massively brought down by the garlic teriyaki sauce. Will try with different sauce in the future. Overall, 6/10 experience. Will return to try more things. Service was friendly and welcoming, ambience much improved over Heaven Sent. Glad to still have fried chicken in the neighborhood.

Yelp
This is a new chicken restaurant in the same location that used to have Heaven Sent chicken, which gives Cluck and Crunch a lot to live up to. Unfortunately, this chicken is not as good as Heaven Sent's was. I thought it was OK but 2/3 of the people in my group didn't really like it. The spicy chicken just seemed to be covered in chili powder. The coleslaw was also so-so, but TBF not many places can do coleslaw well. On the upside: The people working there were all quite friendly and helpful. We got what we ordered with larger portions than we expected. The fries were good. I might consider going back and trying something other than the spicy chicken tenders.

Yelp
First time there. Loved the spicy combo! Chicken piece was huge and thought the pickled pineapple and slaw were awesome. A little messy so if on a first date - be careful - Lol! It truly was delicious. The main reason I'm writing this is to give an accolade to Erica the cashier/server. She was delightful, patient, and made great suggestions. She was funny, and informative. Kudos to you, Erica and thank you for making our experience a fun, yummy one!!

Dave S.

Yelp
Disappointed. Expensive, and forget my sauces. The menu is oddly confusing and sides are extra. Somehow the coleslaw was salty.
