Where To Drink The Best Pints Of Guinness In London - London - The Infatuation

"The One To Convert You To Pints Ah, Covent Garden. There are street performers to avoid eye contact with. And rickshaw drivers blasting Jason Derulo. But the Coach & Horses will restore your faith in these streets—it’s an unpretentious pub that’s as welcoming to old boys having solo pints on rickety stools, as it is loud gaggles of friends. Sitting opposite a Rose Of Tralee poster, sipping a creamy pint, you’ll hear yourself saying “this is a proper pub”." - sinead cranna

5 Walk-In Only Pubs To Watch The Euros Tonight - London - The Infatuation

"Part of the Frontier pub chain, the Coach & Horses is a Clapham pub with a perfectly pleasing setup for an evening of potentially good, bad, or downright mediocre football. The no-bookings spot has got pizza, nachos, and other gooey American-style food to keep you going and there’s a projector to keep you entertained (hopefully)." - jake missing

Coach & Horses Covent Garden - Review - Covent Garden - London - The Infatuation

"Ah, Covent Garden. There are the street performers you’re desperately avoiding eye contact with. Rickshaw drivers with fluffy dice blasting Jason Derulo. And gilet-clad office workers crowding the pavements outside pubs. But the Coach & Horses will restore your faith in these streets—it’s an unpretentious pub that’s as welcoming to old boys having solo pints on rickety stools, as it is loud gaggles of friends who probably don’t need another pint. Padding across the soft carpet and sitting opposite a Rose Of Tralee poster, you’ll hear yourself saying “this is a proper pub” as you take a long sip of your creamy pint of great Guinness." - Sinéad Cranna

London’s Best Local Pubs and West End Boozers | Eater London

"Located close to the tourist-magnet Covent Garden Piazza, this pub is a retreat; a place not commonly found in the capital of England. This is an Irish pub, in the truest sense of the phrase: indeed many claim it serves the best pint of Guinness in the city. There’s a vast selection of Irish whiskeys behind the bar, for those who care for a chaser, too. Another note: the service here is as it is in Ireland, which is to say — as a general rule — more competent than the average English boozer. Staff will capably serve more than one customer at once." - James Hansen

Where to Eat and Drink on St. Patrick’s Day in London | Eater London

"A true escape from Covent Garden frenzy, this old-school Irish pub is celebrated for what many call the city’s best pint of Guinness and an impressively wide selection of Irish whiskeys ripe for exploration. It’s a reliable year-round destination that turns into a joyful, boisterous hub for St Patrick’s Day and benefits from being just across the road from the official Trafalgar Square festivities." - Adam Coghlan

My friend who went to Guinness brewery said the Guinness here is St. James Gate level of quality. I have to take his word for it because I've never been to Ireland. The young bartender ladies was lovely but I didn't have a chance to try the food here because the kitchen is closed on Sunday.

We came here because of the proximity to our hotel and the high stars. We didn't have a reservation but they were gracious enough to seat us anyway. Upon first entering the beautiful decor strikes you. The bold and beautiful artwork is very striking. The server was friendly and delightful. We had some signature tequila drinks that were delicious. We started with Mexican street corn which was delightful. For mains I had pork cuchinetta while my partner had cerviche.minevwas fantastic, while my partner was a little disappointed feeling that the flavors were not forward enough. We didn't have dessert being the portions were large. I recommend coming here if you're in the area just don't order the fish. Everything else about the restaurant is worth the visit.

What a great pint! 10/10 We just stopped on the off chance not seeing the reviews before.. and honestly up there with the Devonshire! One of the best pints I have had in the uk.

Google
Best Guinness in London. Tried Guinness in multiple pubs in London over the past few years and this establishment consistently pours the best Guinness in London. Definitely a must visit pub if you enjoy Guinness.

Ali and hema were GREAT! Saturday nights can be tough, yet both of them were wonderful, warm, professional, and kind. They turned what could have been a challenge into a lovely experience, and I’m truly grateful to them both.

🚇Covent Garden 🍺 £5.80 Amstel ❤️ A welcoming family run Freehouse. . The Coach & Horses is located opposite the Royal Opera House in a quiet side street on the edge of Covent Garden. The nearest Tube is Covent Garden which is a four minute walk away. . The pub dates back to the 1730’s, the current building was built in the early 19th century. This pub has been run by the same Irish family for the last forty years. . This is a cosy one bar boozer that feels welcoming and homely. The servery is situated on the left hand side and has a sturdy solid dark wood counter. The bar area seating is all stools and poser tables which works well in this busy little pub. The pale green walls are adorned with photos of pub celebrations, claims to fame and black and white scenes of times gone by. This pub boasts a red carpet, the cornerstone of any top London boozer. . The beer selection was good and included lots of familiar favourites, two cask ales and of course Guinness. The Guinness here is well celebrated, so much so that The Irish Post once voted the Guinness here as the best in Britain. If you are partial to a short, there are over 70 Irish whiskeys and gins plus Scottish whiskies too. I was on the lager all day so I decided on an Amstel, my pint was excellent, well kept and price point was average. The food is basically sandwiches – but what excellent sandwiches they are. Hot sausages, salt beef, roast beef and baked ham are all served on your choice of bread with gherkins and crisps on the side. . We arrived just after 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and the place was absolutely heaving. The atmosphere here was superb, the vibe was upbeat and buzzy. The crowd was a mix from all walks of life, the pub was as busy outside as in. The service was efficient, the team here were very much on the ball. . The Coach & Horses is one of the most hospitable pubs you’ll find anywhere around Central London, this is a must visit London pub. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 29.04.23

Google
A place to go if you're near Covent Garden Garden!! A good selection of beers, including London Pride as well as friendly staff. A nice design with lots of old pictures of things such as sports etc.

Yelp
I loved the art and feel of this bar! The service was great and everyone was so friendly. I didn't get food but I got a drink and it was made perfect.

Yelp
Nice local pub that serves ice cold Guinness. Appears to be an Irish Pub than an English Pub but we ducked in to get out of the rain and what better excuse do you need to have a pint of beer. Bartender was friendly, prices were reasonable, clean establishment and food appeared to be delicious. Next time I'm in town I'll spend more time to enjoy it all.

Yelp
I've been to Ireland, and the Guinness served in this pub is on par with the pints I've had in Cork and Dublin. Great traditional pub decor. If you've been to any London pub, you'll know what I mean. Lots of locals and theater-goers. Not too many tourists, at least I didn't hear any American accents. Pretty loud during the pre-show hour. There is a TV, but people were generally just chatting. Bartender was affable and suggested other ales to try. You should travel to London and hit all the pubs. It's fun being international, like me. Aye, mate.

Yelp
Unpretentious Irish pub round the back of the London Transport Museum. Two ales on when I visited, Courage and Spitfire. The food looked good although I didn't eat there. The landlord was friendly enough although he appeared distracted by the Scottish Grand National which was showing on the TV. Clientele appears to be a mixture of tourists and regulars although there isn't room for large groups. Good place to escape the crowds of Covent Garden.

Yelp
Great Pub on Wellington! Nice selection of beers and great selection of whiskey's! If you are tired from walking around or if you want to grab an afterwork drink with your friends and colleagues to unwind, or if you are up waiting for a theatre performance or show, this is a nice place to kill some time! Lots of restaurants around as well to go to afterwards for a nice dinner!

Yelp
Traditional (not a plasticated) Irish pub with a surprisingly 'local' feeling for this part of the world. Handy for theatres, the opera and a short walk from the piazza and the markets. Used to have the best Guinness in town (had Liffey Guinness from Dublin imported, but they all do now). Plenty of interesting characters frequent this place (some a bit too 'interesting' for comfort). A good mix of Londoners, theatre goers and not too many tourists.

Yelp
Nice, if typical, pub near Covent Garden. It's quite touristy and crowded but you could do a lot worse.

Yelp
Nice pub. Pretty small inside but it's cosy and a break from the norm touristy places aka bars that might be more inward. In fact it feels like a soho pub which is nice as we are right by Covent Garden. Pint was cheap too. About £3.40 I think. Stood outside to watch the world rush by. All good.

Yelp
Lovely wee pub, stopped for refreshment as the Girls were on a Day Out in the Big City, on the way to Theatre Royal, Drury Lane for 42nd Street the Musical. Made to look bigger than it is due to the large mirrors. The Irish man behind the bar was excellent, serving I think locals, asked me what I would like, at one point I thought he had forgotten me, as he asked another customer what they were after, however if just started pouring our drinks. Fairly busy, but this maybe due the 6 Nations, England & Wales playing at Twickers.

Yelp
Got to be one of the best locals in London. Great staff and beer - especially Guiness. A must to try for their lunchtime rolls - hot salt beef and limerick ham is outstanding. Dom Perrion champagne only £90 and house is only 20 or 25.

Yelp
Great whiskey selection and reasonably priced. Cozy environment, but a small space. Still everyone was friendly, good place to avoid the London weather for a drink or a few.

Yelp
Great pub - Irish but English if you know what I mean! It is a must for any Irish visiting London. Marcus - an Daingean

Yelp
I call in at this pub every time I come across to England to visit the relatives. Great little pub. Not touristy. The food offering (primarily hot sandwiches) is limited but excellent - especially the salt beef sandwich. Thoroughly recommended.
