Cobble Fish

Cobble Fish is an outdoor dining spot in South Street Seaport at the end of Pier 16, perfect for a warm, sunny day like today. The vibe is great and the food was delicious, but we unfortunately didn’t have the best experience today. - Service: We went around 1pm and it wasn’t very busy at the time. We were sitting at the end of the restaurant, but after they served us our food, they didn’t come around to check in on us and it was very difficult to get their attention. - Food: I ordered the Calm Seas Lobster Roll ($31+), which was mixed with celery, onion and mayo which I generally don’t love, but it was delicious. The bun was so buttery, too. The only problem I had with the food was that I bit into something hard and discovered there was a piece of lobster shell in my lobster roll. With summer approaching, hopefully, others will have a better experience.

I attended Salsa Night on Tuesday and it was such a blast! The crowd was full of energy, the music was lively, and the vibe was electric. I ordered a Piña Colada while my husband had a whiskey cocktail and both were delicious. The lobster roll? Absolutely AMAZING! The service was attentive, and this has officially become my go to spot at Seaport. Plus, the view by the water is unbeatable.

It was our first time trying Cobble Fish. Josh, our server, did an amazing job making sure our drinks were never empty! The lobster roll was delicious and the fish and chips were super yummy too! They have well priced pitchers of beer and good cocktails as well. We were lucky to have such a beautiful day to go to this outdoor restaurant. They were playing great music to accompany the view overlooking the river. When we arrived in the early afternoon we were happy to be seated right away, but by the time we left around 2pm, it had picked up. will be back!

Very nice! Quite scenic, various seating choices with plenty of shade available. Staff was accommodating, service was good, a little slow. We enjoyed fish and chips that were excellent, served hot with fries that were lightly battered and simply excellent! Beer was cold and the atmosphere is laid back and not too noisy.

Hey there! I meant to write this review a while ago, but I absolutely loved Cobble Fish. The place is so nice, and the staff are all super helpful. I forgot the name of this blue drink, but it was amazing and a must-try. I felt really good after a few sips. The food was great; I love anything seafood, and this place is definitely on my list for the best in the Seaport NYC. Thank you, and I'll see you soon.

Such a wonderful place for a send-off and get-together. We went after work with a group of colleagues and had such a great time. The staff is professional and friendly. The platters and drinks came out one after the other and we never had to wait. The space is comfortable right by the harbor. The food is quite delicious and not to mention that yumilicious lobster roll 😋

I had a fantastic and enjoyable experience today. I ordered two drinks from the cocktails menu, and both of them were absolutely delicious! Great DJ too!!

The lobster sandwich was extremely tasty and tender, bursting with flavor, while the cocktails lacked in taste. The service team offered exceptional service, taking initiative to meet customers' needs. However, I’d like to mention that the restaurant's atmosphere was lacking. The floor appeared unkempt, with trash scattered on the floor in various spots, and the restroom facilities were in need of improvement.

We were so pleasantly surprised by Cobble Fish and would recommend it! We were at pier 16 for an event and wanted to grab food nearby and this was extremely convenient. As locals we thought this would be more like a tourist trap type of place but the food was yummy and reasonably priced! We would go back. Unfortunately they were out of the Montauk IPA on draft. The classic margaritas were really good. The cobble fish and chips was our favorite! The fish was really delicious and the fries were perfectly crispy. It came with a great herby mayo. We also got the fried shrimp and it was good. The location is great and has amazing views of the water, and it's super cool to see the large ship docked right next to it. Being there at sunset was particularly gorgeous. The servers were all very nice.

We went to Cobble Fish for lunch on the 4th of July. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the East Hudson River, Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, and the Brooklyn skyline. They serve fantastic seafood bites and sandwiches in a great atmosphere. The restaurant had covered high tables and a lounge area. We chose to sit at a high table. When we ordered, the staff offered us the special of the day which was a foot-long bacon-wrapped hotdog and a draft beer for $16. Who could say no to that on the 4th of July? Overall, it was a fun lunch. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.

10 out of 10! I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. We ordered the lobster roll, shrimp po' boy, and fish tacos and would get any and all of those again. We went on a nice Sunday afternoon and it felt like a New England summer--love this place! I can imagine it getting super crowded on warm weekend days because of the bar vibe.

On a nice day, the ambience at Cobble Fish is unbeatable. I hope they use heaters during the rest of the year. We enjoyed lobster rolls, sliders, drinks, and the sunshine. There was a lot going on to watch. And a little area worth walking around afterwards.

Cobble Fish is a gem. This restaurant sits down on Pier 16, between the perpetually transforming Pier 17 and newly revamped Pier 15. Flanked by the Ambrose, East River, and a deep open pier Cobble Fish offers an unexpected hidden little escape. Once seated on the bright teal cushions within the white fencing you feel like you're actually at a nice waterfront somewhere- anywhere nicer than grimey NYC. It's intimate and cheery. Great unpretentious fun. Despite the presence of celery, which I don't mess with, the lobster roll is perfection. Comes in two parts with a lemon wedge, pieces of lettuce, and a few pieces of chips. The ratio of lobster to bread was perfect. There's a mouthful of perfectly tender lobster in every bite. The roll isn't an oily mess. I've had a variety of lobster rolls this summer up and down the shore from Montauk to Manhattan and this was my favorite. There's a restroom on site. The chef was great, the staff friendly and chill- this is beautiful little getaway.

Had a great time at Cobble! Really cute vibes next to the water and the drinks were well mixed! Definitely suggest the Impossible Girl pitcher :) Our server/bartender Colleen was very helpful and made sure we were well taken care of and checked in with us multiple times, and her drinks were great - highly suggest grabbing one from her if you come around here during her shift.

To ensure Cobble Fish's meals were prepared as good as they were initially received, a second visit is always recommended to verify food preparation consistency. My first visit to Cobble Fish was an experience on to itself. Although there was a distance to walk to Cobble Fish, it was a chance to possibly have the closest thing to a Maine lobster roll. Cobble Fish's first lobster roll conjured up a taste experience from my ventures to Maine. The food smelled so good. I could not wait to eat my first Cobble Fish lobster roll and fish tacos. Food seasonings used for the lobster roll and fish tacos were temptations towards food goodness! Overall, the first lobster roll actually tasted how a lobster roll was supposed to taste. The lobster roll size was small and jammed packed with well seasoned lobster meat. The fish tacos were okay tasting and were not as good as the lobster roll. However, a second Cobble Fish visit to order another lobster roll and surf turf sliders had a completely different taste profile versus the first lobster roll visit. Something may have changed or maybe it was a different day of the week as a possible cause why the lobster roll had a starkly different taste? This second food visit was disappointing financially and by taste. The surf slider was a version of Cobble Fish's lobster roll placed on a bun. On the other hand, the turf slider tasted exactly as it should, which is good. As in food preparation, everything must return to its natural state and the same can be said about Cobble Fish's lobster rolls!

Went to Cobble Fish on a Sunday with a group of five people. Wanted to try it due to pretty good reviews but Cobble Fish fell short, if you ask me. The way it is set up is that you order at the bar, pay, and then they would bring you the order. We ordered two different pitchers - Pier Painkiller and Boat Breeze. I don't know what happened - it was either an off-day for the bartender or that is a normal occurrence there - but neither one of the pitchers seemed to have ANY alcohol in it. Don't get me wrong, the drinks were tasty, but if you would add some alcohol to them, it would be a completely different type of review. Originally, we wanted to hang out for some time, but ended finishing our drinks and going over to Pier 15 for the rest of the afternoon (place also on the water but offers everything we might ever want).

Great place for happy hour or just hanging out to enjoy the waterfront! The service is a hit or miss depending on what you expect, it's more of a bar vibe where you can go up to order (although thy also have servers walking around!). The food is pretty good as well but be aware that the portions are small.

Live in NYC and this was probably the BEST lobster roll we've ever had. Really cool Mediterranean vibe decor in the middle of crowded NYC. Service was excellent. It was a little hard to find, only spotted this cause we went on a tour of the ship next door but glad we found it.

EPIC RIVER VIEWS!! Spent the first hot evening of the season at Cobble Fish at the South Street Seaport and it was amazing! The waterfront views are unbelievable and just what we need during the warm seasons in the city. I was able to enjoy margaritas and watch the boats come and go on their plush couch seating before hopping around to music from the live dj with my friends. All around a gorgeous spot for delicious food like seafood tacos and burgers. Will definitely be enjoying Cobble Fish all season long!

Fun fun fun. My pops took me down to the south street seaport for a bit on the docks. AMAZING lobster roll! So good! We had margaritas as the sun set and DJ started playing... Honestly this is a chill place to hang, on the pier (!) on comfy couches shaded from the sun. What I think is simply a relaxing cool place - bonus to anyone going on a circle line: right next to it..... come early grab a drink go on boat... know what I'm saying??? Seriously cool open air very chill with great vibes.

Very casual waterfront restaurant. Nice views on the outdoor patio, but limited umbrella shade during the summer. FYI they only have bottled water. Very simple menu. We split the chips & guacamole and soft pretzel with beer cheese. Skip the Guac, it's very bland. The pretzel was basic, but the beer cheese was good. I had a spicy lobster roll, which was good. The food wasn't anything to write home about, but we did enjoy the laidback patio.

Con: -Their bathrooms are closed. You cannot have a bar without bathrooms. They at least have a sign out front stating that. You are supposed to hike over to the Tin Building. But you cannot have a bar without bathrooms! Pro: -Staff is pleasant - Setting is lovely.

I actually had always been wondering what bar is making all that loud noise while I hang out on my sad lunch breaks by myself on the Seaport pier on the opposite side of the boats. Now I guess I know! One of my friends had their birthday here this past weekend. It was a weird reunion of friends I hadn't seen in pretty much an entire year. The space is kind of neat. In slightly warmer weather it's probably ideal with spf 70plus. The music selection was pretty good. I think largely because they put in a specific request to play older music instead of the top hits of whatever the hell is happening these days on tiktok. The waitress we had for our section was phenomenal. I came in and sat down and she was on me like a moth to a light with getting my order. I already preemptively looked at the menu online because I'm that weirdo. Went with a Nutrl vodka canned watermelon seltzer for my first drink because the canned beverages being around $8-10 seemed the most bang for your buck. The second drink I went with a canned Pina Colada and while this looked like a legitimate cup of milk when poured out it tasted incredibly boozy. The prices are moderate for the area and for being on the water. Maybe not so much with the food. I resisted temptation. The lobster rolls were really tiny for $28. They looked delicious but they looked like the appetizer to what would be my real dinner. But I think this is the type of place you come for a few drinks and enjoy the view and move on. A pleasant surprise and glad I got to finally check out the spot since I pretty much am here every day for work.

Cobble Fish is a great casual outdoor spot in the Seaport. They have good food and something on the menu for everyone. The Prosecco, wine and a custom tequila drink I asked for were all good as well. I'd recommend Cobble Fish for anyone looking for something casual and outdoors. It's quiet enough to catch up with a friend and relax. And prices are reasonable for the Seaport area.

Had another visit to Cobble Fish last weekend and it didn't disappoint. The spot's got this chilled vibe that's just right for catching some rays and people-watching. We grabbed a couple of seafood tacos and burgers, which were spot on, though I reckon they could do with bumping up the portion sizes a bit. Service was decent; had to flag down a server once, but nothing to fuss over. Definitely worth a stroll around the area after you've eaten, just to take it all in.

First of all this place is so cute with comfy couches. For Manhattan it's extremely well priced, for the food that is. The drinks are the same price as an entree. I'm a huge fish taco fan, and these were fresh and juicy! The flavor combination was near perfection. Our waitress was also very sweet and kind, I will be back when I'm galavanting near the seaports again ! :)

Let's start by saying it is the most cutest comfiest spot the seats are so cozy the ambiance is awesome the customer service is great we dined in the seafood paella fried shrimp Po boy fish tacos banana pudding and their fruit juice was so fresh and tasty I loved this spot it was so nice after a flic at ipic #minios

Went to Cobble Fish last night as an impromptu wedding after party. Had a lovely time and Neil one of the owners was super nice to us and had a surprise for the Bride and Groom. Solid drinks and snacks. Would certainly go back in the future.

Great atmosphere! We got the beer battered fries with garlic aioli and could not stop eating them. We also got the quac and chips. The fish and chips were incredible, the batter was light and SO fresh! The fish tacos were good, wish they were in a corn tortilla though.

I LOVE this spot. Cobble Fish is nestled on the dock right by the water at the South Street Seaport, so even if the food and drinks weren't as delicious and affordable as they are, the view can't be beat. We arrived around 7pm on a Friday, it was busy but we still grabbed a comfortable couch and were taken care of right away. We were a party of two, but saw a lot of larger parties easily accommodated. We loved every cocktail we tried, and don't sleep on the fish tacos- trust. Overall it was a great vibe, the DJ helped to set the tone for the weekend. Will def be one of my summer spots.

Lovely atmosphere in the late summer. We ordered mushroom croquettes, shrimp, and fish and chips. The only item that I wasn't a huge fan of was the fried fish in the fish and chips. The fries were one of my favorites, very crispy/crunchy. Good sauces for everything. And it's an affordable place with great views! Would come back!

Enjoyed being by the water but that was about it. My beer didn't taste great and we ordered ice waters which the waitress made sure to point out were unfiltered. Seemed like a strategy to upsell bottles of water. Also the dock area rocked a bit with the water which upset my girlfriend's stomach.

Delicious food and very friendly staff. Colleen particularly really took care of the huge party we had and got every order correct. Would definitely recommend this place on her strengths alone, but the area around the bar being right on the pier has a great breeze even in the height of summer. Worth a visit.

Decent spot if you're in South St. Seaport area. Pretty casual -- beer served in plastic cups; chairs were a little stained/dirty -- but it's nice to be by the water. They were out of frozen margaritas the Saturday night that we went. Bathroom is in a trailer-like structure.

The good stuff first: My server was prompt, polite, and kept us in the loop on how our food was going. The greeter (manager? owner?) was welcoming and brought us to a table quickly and was very pleasant. The food was also fine for what I'd expect at a barbecue or food truck. The less than great stuff: It took our food like 40 - 45 minutes to come out. That's a long time after you've put in your order, gotten your drinks, etc. Our waiter was decent enough to apologize, twice, to us, so credit is due there. But honestly, for a shrimp po' boy, two fish tacos, a hot dog wrapped in cheese (kids menu), and a cheese quesadilla (kids menu) it should not take that long to get one's food. The place had a decent amount of people, but most of them were drinking, not eating. And a shrimp po' boy, two fish tacos, a cheese dog, and a quesadilla, an order of fries, plus one fruit punch and a large bottle of water cost $75 without tip. Read that again. I get that it's NYC and this is in Seaport, but this was food truck caliber food at best (presentation: Everything arrived in individual cardboard trays). In fact, the kitchen structure of this boardwalk bistro is like a literal food truck. After tip it all came out to like $85+, for the above. Coupled with how long we waited, if it wasn't for the solid waiter and the fact that the food was decent, I would say I was extremely disappointed. But it's a nice place with a solid atmosphere and a good staff. I recommend going there to relax and have a cocktail by the water, but only order food if you're not starving and it's more like bar food for you to accompany your drinks. We went for dinner, so that was our problem. I would not go back for dinner again.

What a beautiful evening last night! The food and drinks were amazing I highly recommend the sliders!! The drinks were made well check out the blond haired blue eyed bartender. Service was on point. I highly recommend checking out this chilled, low key spot on Pier 16.

Food was good. Never brought us waters despite asking twice. Left on a weird note when I asked if they had candles or did anything for birthday desserts. Was only hoping to end my boyfriend's birthday dinner with a candle in dessert we were going to pay for lol. They told me they'd give the birthday boy a free shot at the bar. I clarified the shot was for someone else, not for me, and they said to bring him over. Then I brought him to the bar and the bartender said "I promise you I never said that" when he offered it to me to my face and the hostess/other bartender was there to bear witness. Why offer if it's not a real one? Awkward end to a birthday dinner and left a sour taste in my mouth, so I won't be back. Plenty of better options on Pier 17

Views for days, an absolute laid back vibe, strong drinks and fantastic food - What more could you want? This is a South Street Seaport must visit for after work al fresco decompressing. The owners are all locals and regulars so when you're there you feel like you're in their backyard. This place is a total gem on Pier 16!

If you don't make this place your go-to this summer, you're missing out. The views are so beautiful, and the food was great, I had the chicken wrap, delicious. The DJ was also great, playing good classics. I need to highlight the service. The staff was just so attentive. Colleen, you are a jem!!! Jeff and Victor (owners), your hospitality is just top-notch! I'll be back for sure!!!

My favorite summer spot. They have an amazing po boy sandwich. The drinks are also great. I don't believe they are open during the winter, which is a disappointment but other than that this place is a great.

no sane NYer voluntarily visits tourist area like South St Seaport Here you should make an exception. Getting out of your cramped flat,....and onto Pier 16 is easy here. The drinks are cheap, the food is tasty and the breezes from the East River soothing. From the shrimp sandwich to the lobster roll, the salads to the paella, and oh those croquettas -reminded us of the best in Spain.....friendly service, warm atmosphere, cool breezes. What other places seem to promise Cobble Fish delivers on.

Food and drinks was great, my only complaint was the music wasn't loud enough. Service was great also.

My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday. The food was extremely small and overpriced, like INSANELY small amount of food for the cost. I got the shrimp and my boyfriend got the fish tacos. The wait staff took 20 min to bring the bill after the table was completely emptied and we were never asked if we wanted a second round of drinks. We could see the waitress playing on her phone while we waited even though there was only two other tables in the whole place. If this wasn't bad enough we both with in 24 hours had food poisoning. Don't eat here.

Hannah (trainee) and Ryan took fantastic care of me and my business guests. And on top of it, the food was great and the breeze was amazing. This place is a gem. Eat, drink, enjoy here.

I called for a reservation, they emailed me that it wouldn't be a problem, they were happy to have us celebrate my husband's birthday. We get there at 7:45 and told us they would be closing in 30 mins. Nobody told us they were closing early when we called the first time or on the email confirmation. But decided to stay since we had traveled from Bk and were hungry. It was too late to go find another place. Once the food arrived- lobster roll and guac and chips. They were not the greatest - we've had better. We felt rushed since some people from NyU were having a party. We should have left and tried other restaurants in the area. Try a different place if your down by south street seaport.

Ordered our drinks and food. The receipt had tip already on the bill. Without even saying that a tip would already be billed. WORK for your tip, don't steal it. Go elsewhere

First time to Pier 16, not sure how I've missed out all these years in the city. Cobble fish was amazing. We were walking by when the bartender/manager got our attention. Boy was he smooth. Knew exactly the right words to get us. I think frozen margaritas is where my wife was hooked- me, the lobster roll and fish tacos. Very nice setup, they have with couches and a formal looking dining room. My only negative was the plastic serving containers- though I get they are on a pier with a small shack of a place- so I get it. Great views. Great margaritas. Food was incredible. Thank you to Joshoa, Zach and Casey. It was a great time. Will be back.
