I’m not gluten free, but stumbled across this gluten free bakery in my hood and literally everything is incredible. The Mexican hot chocolate and cookies and milk cookies: to die for. 🤌 Their birthday cakes: adorable with meticulously placed sprinkles and delicious. 🤌 Plus, everyone working is so kind.

Best. Cookies. Ever. Cutest little bakery with the most amazing cookies, rice-krispy treats, cupckaes, and muffins. Everything is beautiful and tastes like perfection. And they have a super sweet story, it's mother-son owned and operated! And the best part, totally safe for my nut and gluten allergies! It's everything I've been waiting for and more! I brought my family and didn't tell them that everything was gluten-free and they had no idea. I also bought some for friends and again, never told them they were gluten-free, they had no idea and kept saying how delicious their cupcakes and cookies were! Editing to add more photos of recent cookies and treats! Coco and Jules is now a household staple and we go about once a week. I have no desire to baked my own cookies or treats anymore, it's so much easier and better to just run to C&J's and pick up our favorite desserts!

They don’t lead with the fact that their bakery is 100% gluten free because they don’t want non-gluten free people to be “turned off.” This makes sense because it’s people’s reflex to avoid gluten free foods because they assume they are going to taste bad. Rest assured, these are the some of the best cookies I’ve ever had! The staff was incredibly sweet. The cookies are gooey, and the flavors are spot on. I will be back to get a celiac safe birthday cake!

Incredible! They have cakes, cookies, krispies and more and everything I’ve tried is phenomenal. Great spot for a sweet treat and it’s really cute inside with all the plants too.

I honestly thought my days of eating delicious sweets were over after my celiac diagnosis, but then I found Coco & Jules They have an amazing rotating menu, you'll find yourself constantly going back because they come up with the cutest themed, seasonal, and unique cookies. My two personal favorites are the Pancake and the Milk & Cookies, but honestly you cannot go wrong here – I've tried them all, every single one is a winner They also have a deal if you grab half a dozen or a full dozen, which is perfect because you'll want to stock up! Plus, there's plenty of parking on the side streets, and the line moves surprisingly fast, even when it's busy. This place is a lifesaver for anyone with dietary restrictions who still crave an epic dessert

Probably THE best bakery I’ve ever been to. I am not gluten free but wanted to try this place regardless. We tried a couple of cookies and the blueberry muffin. Amazing! Can’t wait to return!

The best cookies ever and incredibly safe so it's a big win for the GF community. Unfortunately, my third time today encountering the same girl at the counter who is unwelcoming, short, and grumpy each time. When I've been served by others it has been perfect every time. Regardless, I continue to go back because of how great everything is and my need for GF.

Cute cookie place, all GF with a couple of Vegan options for cookies. I tried the Chocolate chip GF /V cookie and it was soft and just the right sweetness. Will def be on my list!

Cute local cookie place! This place is totally underrated! I was craving a solid cookie. They have gluten free cookies. I got the cinnamon roll cookie and smores cookie, both were delicious! (I like my stuff a little less sweet so it would be nice if they had some lower sugar cookies one day!) The cinnamon roll cookie is so unique and I've never had a cookie like it. This place is better than all the chain cookie places around the neighborhood. There's a cookie for everyone!

Stumbled upon this cookie gem tucked away off Adams Ave in North Park--and wow, what a sweet surprise! The ambiance is super cute and inviting, perfect for a quick treat or hanging out with friends. We tried a half dozen and every single one was a hit! Favorites were the maple glazed donut, caramel sea salt, chocolate chip classic, and salted blondie. All the cookies were soft, chewy, and buttery--exactly how a cookie should be. If you've got a sweet tooth definitely check this place out. They also offer cakes, cookies and lattes/ coffee.

A friend got me six cookies for my birthday. I had no idea they were gluten free (which says how good they are). I tried churro, chocolate chip, and white chocolate. My favorite was churro. I can't wait to go an visit the store front myself and explore more flavors

Oh wow!! I was getting my hair done a few shops down and had to pass this shop on my way back to my car. I decided to pick out a few treats for the family. I ended up getting the day old bag for 11 bucks and every cookie was so good. If that's how good they were a day old, I can't even imagine what they are like fresh. The brownie cookie and the classic chocolate chip were the winners in my book, but all of the 6 cookies we tried were fabulous. I can't believe they are GF! I immediately texted all my GF friends to let them know about their new favorite bakery. I'll for sure be back!! These cookies are absolutely amazing!

This was my second time coming here in hopes of trying out their "Killer Krispy" rice crispy treats which had brown butter and salted caramel mixed within in. I was in luck since this item always runs out early. This was probably the best rice crispy treat I've had from a bakery before. It was gooey and packed with flavor and was huge! The staff who work at Coco Jules are very nice and want to make sure you get the best cookie/treat possible. This place opened up a couple of months ago and I have heard nothing but good reviews about it!

My awesome husband stopped by this cookie bakery shop on the way home today. It was a wonderful surprise to see him walk in the house with such a cute box of cookies. The flavors in the box: Birthday Cake with pink sprinkles icing, Salted Caramel, Vegan Chocolate Chip, and Blondie. Impressive selection and very delicious. A 1/2 dozen is $22 + tax. Truly made and great tasting cookies.

We arrived close to closing after pizza across the street and were craving some desert goodness. Walking in, it was a small establishment, very clean and well maintained. The person at the front desk greeted us and took our orders promptly. I assume due to us arriving near closing their selection wasnt as much as it is during the day. No biggie. I personally was eyeing the rice Krispy treats. It was legit. Legitimately delicious! I'm not in the area often but when I am in San Diego and have a sweet tooth, I'll be returning back to try more of everything!

Coco & Jules is an another great addition to the Adams ave food scene! These are hands down the best cookies in San Diego! I love the unique flavors and they all are SO good and gluten free. This cookie shop is so cute and more of a grab and go cafe. The service is incredible and always so friendly. I've ordered for events, Easter, and just stopping by to grab a single cookie. The team is so sweet.

To say that I love Coco & Jules, it would still be an understatement! The selection of cookies is ever changing... if you see one, purchase it before it's sold out! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The best is that Coco & Jules is dog friendly! I made sure to be there when they opened ion my birthday to make sure I got a slice of their seasonal strawberry cake, it was delicious! My favorite cookies are the Salted Maple Doughnut and the Strawberry Blondie... so good!

Welp just found my new favorite cookie dealer in San Diego! Such a cute shop inside and out too. Loving the cookie flavors and rotations that happen. You might need to call ahead if you are looking for a particular flavor but otherwise, it's fun to just pop in and see what they have. Guarantee they will have something you like. I love the blondie cookie. They also have a few gelato flavors onsite and you can make a pizookie with them and a cookie. Met Coco and he was an absolute delight! Answered all our questions and was so excited to share information about what they are doing or hopeful plans for the future. Couple of notes: parking is street parking (it's on the main road) and there is not really any seating (a small bench inside and a pair of tables and chairs outside).

Coco & Jules made me cuckoo for their cookies! I could have eaten every cookie in the store but we chose these three and were not disappointed. A small business version of crumbl cookie with the rotating menu but the cookies do not feel as heavy. The frosting on the birthday cake and milk and cookies was delicious and light. The texture was great and the lady at the front was very helpful and nice. Definitely a must try for anyone in the area and we'll be back!

Delicious pastry cafe in Adam's. Located on the main street so look out for street parking or in the neighborhood. They serve a variety of delicious cookies, Rice Krispies, cupcakes & more. I highly recommend their Churro cookie! The cafe is small & really just for to go orders. There was one table outside.

Chocolate lovers rejoice! Coco & Jules is finally open in Normal Heights. I have been eagerly awaiting its grand opening. It opened in late August 2024 when I was in vacation so I was glad to see it opened when I came home. I visited the shop mid week and was really surprised that most of the flavors were gone so early in the day at 3:15 pm. Apparently multiple people came in for party boxes and got tons of cookies. If you wanted to sample multiple cookies, get there early or you run the risk of your flavor being gone. They open every day except Tuesday at 12 noon. I got the Dark Chocolate Chip and Salt & Coco Brownie. Both are extremely rich in flavor. The cookies are on the softer side but still have good texture. They are not thick and chewy where you struggle to eat them. They kind of melt in your mouth. You only need one to satisfy your sweet tooth. The dark chocolate chip wasn't too overwhelming with bitterness that you can get from a dark chocolate cookie. The oatmeal was a nice addition. Really liked it. But the Salt & Coco Brownie cookie was fantastic. I normally do not like salt on my cookies but it was very subtle and brought out the flavors beautifully. Nicely done. They don't have space for any interior seating. They only have two small tables outside for patrons to enjoy their treats. But the decor is stunning with black paneling and glass chandelier lights. I chatted with Cory (Corey sp?), one half of Coco & Jules. He owns the shop with his mom, Julie. He was very welcoming and kind. He shared that everything is gluten free and nut free. They also offer lots of vegan options. I am happy to have this shop in my neighborhood. Cannot wait to try more things!

FOUND MY NEW SWEET TREAT SPOT. Randomly walked by after dinner and decided to try it. Was scared they were gonna taste "healthy" since they offer gluten free and some vegan cookies. SO HAPPY TO BE WRONG. Best cookies in SD hands down. Perfectly chewy and soft in the middle with the crispy edges. The oats mixed in the batter is GAME CHANGER. We went twice in one week HAHA. The staff at both visits were so nice and enthusiastic! Small interior with a big display of cookies. Check the website/IG for the flavors they have that day. Recommend the classic chocolate chip and smore !

One year later and this cookie shop continues to surprise me with the incredibly delicious creations coming out of the kitchen. There is always something new to try and it is always unique. They also added some plants and nice patio furniture out front so you can munch on your treats on your way out. All of the employees are very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend for a quick cookie, rice crispy treat, cupcake, or cake slice. Today I had the blueberry danish cookie and I recommend that for any blueberry fans out there!

YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW IT'S GLUTEN FREE. This is my favorite cookie ever - I ordered the salted caramel and it's perfect. No notes. Chewy yet soft, not too sweet and the hint of salt is perfect.

We love Coco and Jules!!! We live down the street and a favorite past time is walking down to see what's been baked that day. Favorites are the vanilla cupcake with butter cream frosting and the birthday cake cookie. The service is exceptional! Brianna was so kind and helpful. The ambiance is cute and cozy. There is one tiny table inside that is great for a date spot.

I trusted them to make it beautiful--and they delivered! The cake was delicious, and guests couldn't believe it was gluten free. So happy with this business!

Finding gluten free cookies can be difficult sometimes, and these HANDS down were the best cookies I've had!! My boyfriend has a nut allergy and I am gluten intolerant so to find an establishment that checks both those boxes is AMAZING! I'll be thinking about the milk and cookies for days!!

Fantastic gluten free bakery! I really enjoyed every cookie I tried. I highly recommend their blueberry muffin. It was perfect. Loaded with blueberries and it was so soft and fluffy. Mexican chocolate and the salted blonde were my favorite of the cookies, but I loved them all!

This is definitely my go-to source for Gourmet cookies. I've been purchasing cookies from the baker when she was working out of her kitchen at her home, and continue to support her in her new brick and mortar location. If you're looking for amazing cookies this is the place to go!

These cookies are so so good! It's a small cute shop and the staff were really nice. The only thing is that I feel these cookies are a bit over priced and they don't have deals on multiples.

Wow.. the cookies here are just so delicious! We got the brownie cookie, chocolate chip and French toast cookies. Every one was delicious in its own way. There is a slight nuttiness (oat?) that was unique and added to the flavor of the cookie. The cookies were chewy, moist and packed with flavor. My fiancé's favorite food in the world are cookies- at first he was skeptical because they were "gluten-free" but after the first bite he was completely in love. 10/10 cookies, friendly employees and absolutely beautiful interior. A very welcome addition to Normal Heights!

My eyes rolled back and I saw the heavens upon the first bite. It's that good. My boyfriend and I got a bunch of stuff. Caramel swirl. Hot chocolate. Churro. Carmel Rice Krispie. Blueberry and lemon muffin. Salted blondie. It only makes sense to take home an entire box because their flavors rotate and there's a wide variety. We inhaled two before we even left the doors. And it's not even a big place! You have to grab yourself a box. You don't want to miss out on any of the flavors. They're delicious!! *drool*

Great new addition to Normal Heights! I've been waiting for them to open and so glad was able to catch them on opening day. Amazing decadent soft cookies with so many creative flavors. They also have gelato and coffee drinks. Will definitely stop by again!

Definitely worth all the hype! We went when they first opened, and tried one of everything they had that day. These are quality cookies! We ended up ordering an assortment of four dozen cookies for our housewarming party, and they were a BIG hit!! My favorite is the frosted sugar cookie. It's got the perfect texture, and the frosting is delicious. My husband loves the churro cookie and the caramel cookie. And don't overlook the cupcakes! They have a great crumb and the frosting is yum! As someone with a gluten allergy, it's amazing to find a place like this that is 100% safe for me, while having such a high quality product. My husband doesn't have any allergies, and he says these cookies are as good as any "regular" cookies he's ever had. The shop is super cute. Coco has been there a few times when I've gone in, and is super friendly. Overall, definitely worth a visit or ten! I do wish they'd post what cookies they have every day, since it's a 25 minute drive for me to get down there, so it would be nice to know ahead of time if my favorite cookies are available.

I've been here several times for cookies which are always 10/10. Today I picked up a birthday cake which originally I had ordered a 8 inch round 1 layer cake and they got it mixed up and made me an 8 inch round 3 layer cake. They were incredibly nice about it, didn't argue with me and charged me the price for a 1 layer cake. I truly appreciated a. The timeliness the cake was able to be made, b. The quality of the cake and c. Most of all it the customer service. I have attached a pic of the cake (from a video so not great quality) but it was delicious just like their cookies.

This is an absolute must try spot in our neighborhood of north park!! They have amazing cookies, cupcakes, and staff! I ordered some cupcakes for galentines and they dressed them up with vday decorations :) they always go above and aboard and I'll definitely be back! Thank you all!!

Probably the best cookie I've had in San Diego. Great gelato, cakes, cupcakes, and Rice Krispies too - very solid place, would highly recommend.

Finally got a chance to stop by and tried these amazing cookies!! The interior is gorgeous and stunning. Corey was great at explaining & describing all the flavors to us, he was super welcoming and friendly. Make sure you stop by earlier in the day because the cookies run out fast! Salted Blondie was so delicious. I am a huge white chocolate fan so that won my heart completely! Salt & Coco Brownie was also amazing. It was rich and decadent with a little hint of salt. I was really nervous about the Churro cookie being too sweet but after I tasted it, it was like a taste of heaven! Pure deliciousness. It didn't taste too sweet but the perfect amount. It was warm, fresh, and right out the oven too. My mouth is currently watering thinking about it hehe. Would definitely come back for more! Can't wait until holidays come around and I can buy a batch to share with my loved ones!!

I saw this place come up on IG and was intrigued by all the different flavors. I got a half dozen (smores, salted blondie, krinkle, churro, and 2 dark chocolate chip). I can't believe all these cookies were gluten free! The texture and flavors were amazing! There were a few that were on the sweeter side that I don't think I'd get again but glad I got to try. My favorite out of all of them was the s'mores cookie. It's unlike any cookie I've tried before! The person who helped me at the store was so sweet and made the experience that much better. I will absolutely be back again.

Thank you coco and Jules for making chewy thinner cookies!!! We came in and the gentleman that helped us was a ray of sunshine! The store is so cute and cookie presentation classy and clean. The s'mores cookies were the ULTIMATE cookie. The brown butter and gooey marshmallows were perfection then as you bit through a chewy graham/ brown sugar cookie, then you were hit with this amazing brown butter flavor and a soft choco chip. We also had the slated Carmel cookie which was oatmeal forward with caramel melted into it with a perfect amount of salt . Each cookie was gooey, chewy and crispy edges ... THIS is how every cookie should be. A kind woman brought us two hot chocolates loaded with marshmallows and sauce. What a great dessert after dinner! Thank you for being open past lunchtime

I do not have a sweet tooth, but I canNOT stop thinking about, dreaming about, and eating these sweet treats . The price point is PERFECT and there hasn't been one cupcake, rice krispy, or cookie that I haven't enjoyed. Also the ambiance feels like walking into a Paris bakery!

Coco & Jules Cookies is perfect in every way. I live in the neighborhood, so I go pretty often. There are always new flavors of cookies and cupcakes to try, and they usually have a special of the day (today was a delicious blueberry-lemon muffin). The staff are the friendliest and sweetest people around! Everything is gluten-free and they usually have a few vegan items, but you'd never know!

The best cookie I've ever had. I tried the Mexican Spiced Mocha. I'm not even a big fan of chocolate. Creamy frosting, chewy dough, not too sweet. Delicious!
