"What It Is: An all-day Italian restaurant in Soho Perfect For: Date Night, Lunch We went to Coco Pazzo for lunch shortly after it opened, and it was good. But we wanted to head back there to see what goes on at dinner. This is the new Soho version of an Upper East Side Italian restaurant that was popular in the 90s, and on our last visit, the dimly-lit dining room was packed. We tried some seafood appetizers, pastas, and a three-pound roasted chicken that they carved tableside. The four-cheese rigatoni, which is basically what happens when an Italian chef makes mac and cheese, was great. But we also waited an hour between courses and some of the other dishes were pretty bland. The Verdict: This is a solid place to eat Italian food in Soho, but it’s not exciting enough to make it on our Hit List just yet. We’ll be checking back on it soon." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg, chris stang, matt tervooren

"Lots of big ’90s things aren’t around anymore: beepers, Ask Jeeves, synchronized dancing to The Macarena. The original version of Coco Pazzo, on the Upper East Side, also reached peak popularity in the ’90s and then closed a decade ago. Unlike many other hits from that era, this spot is back - now serving casual lunch and more upscale dinner in Soho. But in the current world of NYC Italian restaurants, there’s nothing that makes the new Coco Pazzo worth going out of your way to experience again. The food here - ranging from salads and seafood appetizers to pastas and shareable entrees - is all fine. The most interesting dishes are in the piatto unico (one dish meal) section of the menu. As the name suggests, these consist of different things on a single plate: there’s a pasta element, like linguini with clam ragu, plus a portion of meat or seafood, like baked clams. The pastas are better than their accompanying sides across the board, but at least this setup allows you to taste various parts of the menu without spending a lot of money (all of them are around $20). Share a couple of these entrees, plus the four-cheese baked rigatoni, and you’ll have an enjoyable meal here. But know that whatever you order, you’ll think back on your dinner less like Seinfeld , and more like those multicolored iMacs - you enjoyed them in the moment, but you probably haven’t missed them too much since. Like the food here, the space and service at Coco Pazzo won’t make anyone mad. Some things are carved tableside, there’s jazz playing at a low volume, and four different servers will check on you every couple of minutes. It’s a decent option for the times when you care more about a restaurant being inoffensive than having incredible food - like a dinner with your in-laws, or lunch with an old coworker who might be able to help you get a job. Sure, it’s not that memorable, but it still comes in handy. Unlike that beeper you haven't turned on since 2001. Food Rundown Artichoke Salad This salad mainly just tastes like lemon, and while it will help cut through all the other rich things on your table, we wish there was more parmesan to help balance it out. Octopus The outside of the octopus is charred too much, which makes it really salty and masks the taste of the octopus itself. However, we’d happily order a full plate of the mashed potatoes with burrata that are served on the side. Sardines These are some very good little fish. They’re stuffed with ground pistachios, grilled, and served with a little salad of citrus fruit and herbs. There are a lot of different flavors happening on this plate, but they all work well together. Baked Rigatoni The baked rigatoni has four different types of cheese and some herbed breadcrumbs on top. It’s the best thing here. Pappardelle We like the meat sauce-y pappardelle, but the brisket on the side is basically a bad version of pot roast. Bucatini This is our favorite of the one-plate pasta entrees. The same stuffed sardines you’ll find in Coco Pazzo’s best appetizer are served alongside some very good bucatini. Roasted Chicken If you’re feeling some combination of hungry and cost-conscious, get this roasted chicken. The three-pound bird is carved tableside and served with a huge plate of roasted potatoes and salad. It’s $29 and could be shared by at least three people. Seafood Stew Put a pot of broth that’s loaded with seafood in front of us, and we’re usually happy. But when we had this, the broth was so hot that the seafood had been overcooked by the time the stew cooled enough to eat." - Matt Tervooren

Google
Was a nice place for pasta and pizza. Average prices for NYC. Nice food presentation. Just felt very standard. The pasta options were not anything fancy at all and there were only a few options. But the homemade bread is what they're known for so get that if you go. Their dessert donut neppole with the chocolate dip or however you say it was absolutely delicious! The outside decor is nice too.

Fresh oven baked pizza so delicious! Cozy environment!

Google
Love the ambiance and decorations of the indoor/outdoor setting. I really enjoyed the caoletti which is a brussel sprout salad. The calamari and the pizza were nothing to write home about. The service was a bit slow as they were super busy. They take reservations so you can beat the wait!

The waitress was very nice and kind, great food and one of the best deserts I’ve ever had.

Google
Kind of laid back, friendly place for pasta, pizza and other Italian specialties. Older, UES type of crowd but not haughty. The meter long pazzeria was a fun and tasty starter. We loved the tagliolini. The tiramisu was good but somewhat different, a bit too dense and not as moist and fluffy as most but I liked it. Pleasant spot, I’d go back.

Google
Cute atmosphere but the food was very underwhelming. Ordered the baked clams and a pizza pie. Pizza was soggy + salty and kind of falling apart, it's not tooo terrible if you're hungry. There's better pizza spots around the corner. The baked clams were a tad salty -- also underwhelming. It's not worth the price tag. Wish I read the other reviews but who thought a place like this could make awful pizza -- especially in nyc

I ate at coco with my mom on Sunday and sat outside. It was a beautiful day and we were surrounded by the beautiful pink flowers and decor at coco- I love the pink theme 💗 The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was really good. We stared with the cavoletti (crispy brussel sprouts are amazing!) and then the duetto pizza- half tomato sauce half white. They have a full bar too 🍸

Delicious food, the best foccacia I've ever had (first time having foccacia). Seriously good pizza, give it a try.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant tucked under the bridge! It's a great spot for group dinners, whether it's for friends or family. Service can be a bit slow but feels very European. Never had anything here that I didn't like!

Yelp
I love Coco Pazzaria, one of the best pizza places in NYc. Salads are amazing and if you like oysters , they are served fresh and with nice seasonings. Generally, we order a round of oysters, a salad and a a "pazzaria" , meter style pizza that you can choose up to 3 flavors (if you are three, that is the perfect order, if 2, there will be take aways). Staff is friendly, the tall Italian manager/ owner is all eyes and ears to make sure you are well served. Place is cute and modern. Only flaws are the tables, squished one over the other and... the noise, aff , the noise is terrible. Loud music and people screaming to talk to each other. No acoustics. If you are going for a relaxing meal l, make sure you go when it is not busy.

Gail T.

Yelp
Reliably good neighborhood Italian. Casual, relaxed surrounding and staff. Good thin crust pizzas. And a favorite, Caesar salad WITH anchovies! They have a light hand so if you're craving red sauce Italian, you might be disappointed.

Yelp
This little spot near the Queensboro bridge was a surprisingly busy restaurant at 6 pm on a Thursday. Thankfully, we had a reservation so we were seated promptly. The staff was friendly but not terribly attentive, so much so that it seemed as though they forgot we were there after our food was brought out, forcing us to waive down whoever we could catch eyes with. We ordered the Cavoletti salad, served with crispy brussels sprouts, fennel, arugula, and feta cheese. The salad was slightly overdressed and under-seasoned. The salad came to life with a sprinkle of salt. For a hot appetizer, we ordered a Buzzetti, which was described as an open-face" Mini calzone." We ordered the Parmigiana, which is eggplant, ricotta, fiordilatte cheese, and roasted cherry tomatoes. The Buzzetti is essentially a $9 "empanada" with tough dough. The filling of Buzzetti was really good, but unfortunately, the tough dough made this dish unfavorable. For the entree, we ordered the Salsiccia e Rapini pizza, provolone, fontina, fiordilatte broccoli rabe & sweet sausage. With pizza being plentiful in NYC, this one could easily be passed over. All in all, the food was edible but not memorable.

Yelp
We had another great visit here. This time we got the meatball sandwich, spaghetti with clams, and a side of meatballs. The side of meatballs was good, but the sandwich was really outstanding -- it all just worked so well together, and the bread was outstanding. My wife's spaghetti was also excellent -- that's a hard dish to get right and they do it really well here. Definitely want to go with more grownups at some point so we can pig out on different pizzas, as well as their focaccia, which was my favorite dish on our first visit. They were also really sweet to our kids, one of which was making an absolute scene when we first got there.

Yelp
History of Present Illness: I wanted to go somewhere close by in the UES to have a low key birthday dinner with my wife and my brother. Craving pizza but more Italian than NY-slice and this place was perfect. Physical Exam: Taste - Every bite was simply delicious. Only complaint is maybe we ordered a bit too much and microwaved leftover ricotta cheese just doesn't taste as good. While great, the pizza is not the star of the show. Their house specialty focaccia is absolutely their selling point. Haven't been to another restaurant with a similar item. It's like a pizza-sized sandwich between two thin slices of crispy, fragrant focaccia. We got the Focaccia Vestita which has some prosciutto, arugula, sun dried tomatoes and spicy EVOO, but the Focaccia Robiola (just robiola cheese with some truffle oil) might've been the better option to accompany the massive DIY pizza we ordered. Aside from that, starting off with the Carciofi Crudi was a brilliant idea. Very light dressing over some palate-cleansing, stomach prepping greens right before we chowed down on the heavy carbs, fats, and proteins. Service - The key is always the water refill attentiveness and Coco Pazzeria gets a 4 out of 5 on that. Our server was nice, prompt, and I got nothing else to add to that. Environment - Pink. Very pink. Dimly-lit at night, but still suuuper pink. Nice little unassuming restaurant. Focus is on the food and less the ambiance, so it's perfect for casual dinner and wine with some friends. Assessment/Plan: Coco Pazzeria gets 5 out of 5, fresh out the oven, warm, toasty, golden brown focaccia slices. If friends are craving thin-crust, flatbread like pizza and not a NY-slice, this place will get the job done. They have a decent selection of cocktails and a simple wine menu to make a great meal perfect. Just get over the whole pink bubblegum vibe and focus on the food.

Yelp
What could improve? How about your restaurant grade? No wonder you don't post it! 33 violations just 2 months ago?? Ew! Clearly, your cleanliness could improve!!

Yelp
Coco Pazzeria is a very welcome addition to the area. I'm not saying Sutton Place is a restaurant/food desert but I have been living in the area for 6 yrs and haven't found many restaurants to repeatedly visit. Coco is the exception. So, have dined in 3 times and ordered take out twice. I have to say, the food here is excellent, very consistent and never had any issues (with the food, will get to the service later). We always order the Covoletti salad-just love how the sprouts are cooked-crispy and perfect. At our last dine-in experience, my friend ordered the gluten free Rigatoni con Burrata and she loved it. We usually order the lemon drop or espresso martinis too which are hit or miss. I've also had the Formaggi & Funghi pizza which I just loved. My last take out we ordered the Cavoletti with Shrimp, the Pizza Margherita and the Trevigiano Buzzetti which are mini calzones. Emphasis on the mini-quite small but tasty. Even though it was take out, the food really held up well. The only negatives are that it seems to cost more to order take out/pick up. I guess they charge for the containers? I didn't look at my receipt that closely but there are different prices for the same items on the dine in menu versus pick up. Don't like that. Also, the service is not consistent. Each dine in experience has been on the slower side, which is fine in California but we New Yorkers want our food and we want it now! But the real issue was one day when we came in during the heat wave this past summer, the air conditioning was not working well at all. The ceiling fans were on but all they were doing was pushing the hot air around. We ordered our fave salad (Cavoletti) however when the salad arrived, it was not the one we ordered. We let the server know that she brought the wrong salad and she said no she didn't-that was what we ordered. I told her not a chance-and she said again, yes we did. Very rude if you ask me but everyone makes mistakes and I know it's not the easiest of jobs so we cut her some slack. Anyway, the quality of the food trumps everything else.

Yelp
Fun location great for people watching right next to the bridge. Good food with many choices and efficient service. I had the pizza, it was good.

Alice D.

Yelp
The service was fast. The food was decent got the Bianca con Prosciutto and Caesar Salad.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Yum! Everything we had was delicious! I had salad with fennel and crispy Brussels sprouts. My husband had the meatball sandwich (polpetti alla parmagiana). The reason it's special is that it is served on their foccia with is very thin vs. typical buried in bread. We spilit the fried calamari which is served like I like it with fried vegetables as well (and lemon). Service was very attentive and the place has a perfect neighborhood feel.

Lily D.

Yelp
Decent service. Pizza was undercooked. Cute decor but probably would not return. Drinks were delicious!

Betsy S.

Yelp
We went here late at night close by and we were thrilled. We were able to order a pizza with mozzarella (think crest and very tasty) and a chianti along side a caesar salad with anchovies!! Delicious. The waitress was easy going and I was so happy with our food. We had a lot of food and we even had enough to take home with us. The waitress kept coming back to check on us and that was good. I was always intrigued about this place because of the flowers - yes, pink flowers at that...are all over. It's a little much on the pink thing (everything is pink - I mean everything) It's definitely a casual place and that's what we wanted. Negative was that the bathroom was a wreck. Toilet seat broken. Not really sure why no one addressed that at all. (Pino Luongo created this establishment so kudos for that) I recommend it even despite my mishap with the WC.

Steven M.

Yelp
We have been to Coco Pazzeria on several occassions and had good experiences. However, tonight was really a miss and worse than the food quality was their lack of empathy. I was excited to bring two family members there for the first time. We ordered 5 items between us. The Pazzeria and the Lasagne were good. They made a mistake on the Buzetti order and blamed us and then told us that they were out of stock on the one that we wanted. The Cacio Y Pepe was cold and inedible. And this is where it really went down hill. We actually didn't complain about it. However, someone, not our server, came by and asked how our food was. Only then did we express that the pasta dish was terrible, and the response we got was that we should have said something when it first arrived, and then she walked away. If you are going to ask, you should be prepared to reasonably address the issue. But they didn't, so a few minutes later I did speak up and actually showed the person the cold chunks of cheese in the dish. Only then did she take it to the kitchen and ultimately told us that they would remove it from our bill. And when she came back, at which point we had finished the rest of what had been brought to us, we advised her to cancel the Brussels Sprout salad that one of our group ordered for their meal, but had never arrived. Net, net, 5 items ordered, 2 ok, 1 incorrect blamed on us, one inedible, and 1 no show. No apology or acknowledgement that they could have done better. Unfortunately, despite having had several good experiences there in the past, we got to see how they handle things when they go wrong, and tonight they really let me, and the others that came with us based on our recommendation down. Can't contemplate returning. UPDATE: Found this on their website the next morning (not an excuse for our experience the night before, but explains a lot!): COCO PAZZERIA HAS CLOSED! It is with deep regret that we announce Coco Pazzeria has closed its doors. There is dangerously poor kitchen ventilation at Coco Pazzeria, and the landlord has opted not to address the issue. Thus, we have made the difficult choice to permanently close Coco Pazzeria to ensure employee safety and maintain fire safety standards. We have been honored to serve the Sutton Place community over these past three years. From first-time visitors to our regulars, you have made these years special. Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Jaimee A.

Yelp
I have love for the Coco Pazzeria, but stick with the pizza and pastas. The thin crust pizza is terrific and they make it with burrata. The pastas are delicious, you really can't go wrong with any of them. The salads are also very good and shareable. The only item I would stay away from is the flat calzone. It is like an empanada that is stuffed with an assortment of Italian goodies. They are good, but small. Very small. Like empanada size. If you order one, make it two or three.....

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Well priced. Good service and good quality, creative food choices! Love the pink, calming decor. Nice reliable choice on the UES.

Steph W.

Yelp
Love the ambiance and decorations of the indoor/outdoor setting. I really enjoyed the caoletti which is a brussel sprout salad. The calamari and the pizza were nothing to write home about. The service was a bit slow as they were super busy. They take reservations so you can beat the wait!

vahlen e.

Yelp
Isn't there a rule that you're supposed to greet the customer within 5 min or something? Anyway, we sat at the bar and we definitely waited longer than that. And even longer for beverages. And even more longer for food... And if we didn't wait long enough, we waited forever for the check... I swear, we could have walked out of there and no one would have known. Someone finally came to ask us how everything was and if we needed anything... but at the end of our stay. Would have been nice if asked earlier, at any moment (drink, food, check) With that being said, the food was quite good, which is why I give this two stars instead of one. You can get good food anywhere, this is Manhattan. I return to places for the service. Sad cause this is the first time here and I live in the neighborhood..

Mike C.

Yelp
From the Coco Pazzo team about a half mile east, this new spot specializes in pizza and sandwiches. We got a Margherita Pizza, which was excellent, but it was the Meatball Panozzi ($14) that was exceptionally good. It's pretty much a meatball parm hero, with great meatballs and excellent bread that's the right amount of both soft and crusty for this type of sandwich. I would definitely come back for the other types of breads and sandwiches.

Greg W.

Yelp
Off the boat 00 flour maybe a bit of Nduja pizza made by Italians. These individual, high end ingredients pizzas are stellar. It's hard not to order a individual pie here when they are so good. The reality their other items are above average too. You must try the artichoke salad. You will be happy you stop in.

andrea p.

Yelp
I wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars . Everything is just perfect. The food, the price, the decor and the service . Kudos to Pino Luongo for creating this amazing place . The manager tonight was Giuseppe from Naples (Ischia) and I can't say enough good things about this guy . Great personality. He made me want to eat more and try everything on the menu which happens to be quite original, from oysters to gourmet pizza and different combinations of Italian food that I crave a lot since I am myself from Italy . You all must try the thin crispy focaccia with robiola and truffle oil, it's orgasmic !

Joseph M.

Yelp
Wow. We had reservations at a different restaurant but a water line broke and we had to call an audible. The calzone. Omg. I could eat these until my stomach burst. This Roman style pizza is difficult to find, it's using Neapolitan. Let me back up to the calzone. The reason it's so good is because when you eat it you can feel the high quality of the ingredients, you get a euphoric feeling whilst eating. My only complaint is that all the special ingredients (walnut and prosciutto) are taken on the first bite and all that's remaining for the second bite is cheese. The waitress was a total sweetheart, and the highlight was when the pizza man delivered my pizza I ordered a peroni from him and he said "certo" and I felt like I had been transported back to Italia. Super cute place, top notch food, great staff, I couldn't find a con to this place. I usually never visit the same place twice, but I'll be back!

Raphael P.

Yelp
Cool creative relatively new pizza spot in the neighborhood. Cool interior and awesome vibes overall. Place is always packed and has a good crowd which is a good sign. Good pizza and salad and good service overall. Good addition to the neighborhood!

Ilan G.

Yelp
I stopped for lunch before heading to TJ, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the place, the service, and the food. Typically, I tend to skip salads at restaurants, but I decided to give it a try this time, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The chicken parmigiana was also decent, but I encountered a common issue I have with this dish - it tends to taste similar across different restaurants.

Andrew L.

Yelp
This restaurant is relatively new in the neighborhood. This was my first time so I asked for suggestions from the staff as it was apparent this is not a typical American pizzaria or Italian restaurant. The pizzas line up more with real Italian Pizza verses what we normally have in the New York and certainly the US. Overall the food was great! The bread is exceptional and the deserts delicious. I can highly recommend it. However is you are looking for an America staple like a pepperoni pizza, this may not be for you. The only minor complaint would be the noise level. There is nothing to absorb the sound. It that does not bother you this place is great!

Amy K.

Yelp
It's always crowded at dinner time and usually lunch as well, so we went for an early lunch, got there before 12:30 - had our choice of outdoor seating! We shared a fabulous salad of arugula, roasted Brussels sprouts (air-fried, I think, not at all oily), sliced fennel, and crumbled feta. Then we shared a cheese (a couple of different ones) and mushroom pizza. The pizza is 4 slices, perfect for the two of us. And superbly flavorful! We live just a few blocks away and intend to be here over and over again! Lunch was cheaper than a certain local diner south of here also on 1st Ave and far superior. Definitely recommend!

Heidi B.

Yelp
A needed new pizza joint in the Sutton place neighborhood. Coco Pazzeria offers some interesting pizza topping combinations that are all a little different from what I'm used to seeing. They have this fun option where they put 3 different pizzas onto a meter long pizza (separated into three sections), which is a nice way to try various options. Pro tip: order the 3 in 1 pizza if you're going with someone! It's cheaper than ordering two personal pies. They say it feeds three, but tbh two of us almost polished it off. Biggest surprise: This place is pretty expensive for what it is. $9 peronis seems overly steep to me. All in all: I'm not coco about it, but it's nice to try something new.

Shubhi M.

Yelp
The food is decent. My complaint is that it's very oily and it kind of made my stomach hurt after but that's mostly because I don't tolerate oily food. The Brussel sprouts app was really tasty it was basically Fried brussels sprouts on top of an arugula and feta salad. I think the best part about this place is it's really good to share food because the pizza can come as a meter long which is really big. This also gives a chance for everyone to order what they want and they get the perfect portion/share a slice with a friend. The pizza itself is extremely thin crust and again very oily but it is decently tasty if that's the type of pizza you like. The only other thing that I don't like about this place is that they have their windows completely open so even when it's 90° outside the inside is very very hot (so try to get an outside table)! The ambience is really nice though and decorated nicely with the flowers. I've been here twice and the first time the waiter was almost too attentive, as in every single time I turned around he was standing inches away from me but the second time I went it was a lot better so maybe it was just a weird day. The prices of the menu is also good! So it's a good place to go with friends to get a decent meal and not have a huge bill.

Sydney G.

Yelp
Initially found this place on a walk by when there stunning outdoor pink flower creation completely drew my eyes in. Finally came here with my two girlfriend's over the weekend Ambiance: Pink pink and more pink! Seriously such a fun place for a girls dinner. Its a nice size/small space so you feel nice and cozy. The vibe was fun but definitely an older crowd, couples, etc. We were lookin for more of a sit down and chill wine dinner and that's exactly what we got. I would safe if your looking for a place to vibe before going out this isn't that place but it was really perfect for the night we were trying to have. Food and drinks: The drink menu is pretty small and is mostly wine and spritz based. We decided to split a bottle of red wine that was pretty good and the waiter did a really great job at coming over to refill often. We each got a different pizza and immediately upon its arrival we all did not speak as we were too busy enjoying our food! The pizza was a perfect size for one person or two if you are getting a pasta as well. We tried the Nutella dessert and my god that deserved a prize!!! It was seriously to die for. Staff: The staff was really great and made the experience so fun! When we checked in our table wasn't ready but the staff kept us busy with chatting until it was. While we were seated a woman came over who does PR for the space to make sure we did not mind potentially being in the background of some videos. We talked to her for a few more minutes as she explained to us the history behind the restaurant and what we need to order next time. She then proceeded to order the Nutella dessert and bring it over for us to try!! How sweeet right?! I was born and raised in the suburbs with local restaurants where the staff knows you and this is exactly what I felt being at Coco Pazzeria and made me realize how much I miss places like this. If around the neighborhood a must go!!

Steve D.

Yelp
We so want to like Coco Pazzeria as we live in neighborhood. The food is great; the service really good - but what has spoiled our visit twice is the poor air conditioning. They have AC units but they just don't do the job. If they could fix this, we would give 5 stars all day long.

Frank A.

Yelp
From the owner of longtime favorite Coco Pazzo in Soho, Coco Pazzeria is more casual and focuses on pizza, pasta, sandwiches and calzones. All are excellent, but the Foccaccia which are essentially flatbread sandwiches. They are simply amazing. Filed with flavor and unique. Whatever you have Coco Pazzeria, you will certainly be coming back for more.

Warsame E.

Yelp
Sigh, this place really disappointed me. I'll start with the positives. They make a great aperol spritz. Sometimes I find aperol spritz's to be too watered down. Not Coco Pazz! They have an excellent mix of aperol and Prosecco. I didn't have a reservation, but they were friendly about it and sat us down at the bar quickly, where we got prompt and friendly service. The lasagna was good but noticeably not great, and the pazzeria salad was nothing special. I am not going to harp too much on the negatives. The drinks and food were a little pricy. The ambiance is pretty, but maybe a little too pink and a little crammed. The focaccia vestita is very creamy, but not in a cheesy way you'd find in a carbonara or on a pizza. Perhaps i don't like robiola, but it was very disappointing -- especially given the high praise and mouth watering photos. I'd like to come back and give it another try, particularly their pasta options, as I live very close by, but with the wealth of Italian options available in nyc, I'm not desperate for it.

Aaron S.

Yelp
Blatant ageism. They do not allow children under 5 in their dining room (on April 2nd 2022) and no substantive outdoor seating. I get it, they want an ambiance and want the place to be not as kid friendly. Using Covid as an excuse though is not right (or even legal?). It's not like they are checking adults vax cards... This is a pizza place - PIZZA! Not fine dining. It's in a residential neighborhood and not a business district too. At 5pm on a weekend expect families to want and try your food.

Yelp
I always walked by here and thought the outside decor is cute with all the [fake] flowers and lights at night. Went here to dine with a friend on a Sunday evening, and chose to sit inside because of the heatwave of the summer...only to find that the inside of the restaurant could have been hotter than sitting outside. I heard the elderly couple next to us ask the waitress to turn the AC on, but both AC units were already on! (Maybe they should upgrade the AC to a better well-known brand?). We ordered the Comma Picca' pizza for $21 (Tomato sauce, fiordilatte mozzarella, 'nduja, raw mushrooms, sliced fresh tomatoes, sliced spicy and shavings of pecorino romano) and the Spaghetti Vongole for $24 (Manila clams white wine, fresh garlic, parsley, and crushed red pepper) to share. The pizza was good, but the pasta was sub-par - it could have used more of a white wine sauce, more parsley and some red pepper: it was pretty plain to my liking of a vongole. We also ordered a bottle of white wine (which also tasted like a cheap bottle for the price), and I wish they gave us a bucket of ice to put it on because it was just getting warm sitting on the table inside of an already hot restaurant. In the summer one would want to dine in a well-cooled down restaurant to escape the heat outside! Not sure if I'll be back to dine here again..maybe in the winter time when I'm craving a pizza?

Yelp
OK....... This is a destination ! Though just tried it , i will def be there promptly again . Started with the Buzzetti cotto , kind of "handroll" paste fill with goodies and even though fried it was light and delicious . Then i took the focaccia robiola - Excellent ! And like the buzzetti , even though fried its not that heavy and lovely to eat , pour some olive oil on it and its prefect . They have the in and out sittings option and the service is great .

Yelp
Re: my review below and your response. Your hostess said the policy of kicking out my daughter was due to covid. Perhaps ya'll should get your stories straight. I've reached out to hundreds of nyc moms on Facebook in the area. We are all appalled and you've given us each different reasons for banning our children into your restaurant. You're hostess also said this was the policy since you opened which is also a lie. Many moms stated they're under 5's were once allowed until the excuses started

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal environment !! spectacular food and conversation with all the staff. Highly recommended for locals and travelers.

Yelp
The Sutton location does not allow children to sit inside. It's a ridiculous pink pizzeria, not some high end classy place. That combined with the crappy food, and this place will go down soon. P.S. and do not trust the new Yelp members with zero previous reviews that have left raving reviews in the last few days.

Yelp
I have only been to the Sutton location so my review only reflects that but this place is...not great. I will say it has a very pretty, Instagram worthy outdoor seating arrangement with big pink florals arched over the tables. Very eye-catching. That being said, the food is lackluster at best and wildly over-priced. I've purchased dinner from here twice - one via pickup and once sit down. The small, 4 slice Margherita pizza is $19.00 with an underwhelming flavor. The sauce is pretty generic and the crust is only ok. I have also gotten the mushroom pizza (same size, $21) and the focaccia ($24) which was pretty soggy even though we immediately ate it when it came to our table. Even though the food is only ok, the service is even worse. There are a ton of employees working at any given time, but the service is so slow and inattentive because they are all constantly bumbling. It's wild to watch. For an early dinner, I saw myself standing at the hostess station for well over 15 minutes when there were maybe 2-3 tables filled at the whole place. I asked multiple people who worked there for assistance but they all told me that wasn't their job. The waitstaff will not make eye contact with you to avoid having to take orders, bring checks, etc. It's so odd since it seems like each waiter has maybe 2 tables each. All in all, there is a much better pizza place on the same block as this one that I will be going back to (I will never be swayed by Instagram-forward pizza again!)

Yelp
If you are looking for a fun great tasting pizza place this is it. Beautiful upscale restaurant that offers gourmet brick oven pizzas, sandwiches, meatballs, excellent salads etc. My favorite salads are the brussel sprout and artichoke ones. The service is excellent and they even do take out.

Yelp
Very greasy, soggy, and burnt crust on the pizza. Barely any cheese. The minestrone soup didn't have any favor. Pasta was actually very good but the chicken I added to it was terribly dry and unflavored as well. Very cute restaurant, though.

Yelp
You don't have to go to Italy anymore!! Just head to Coco Pazzeria on 59th and 1st Avenue. Make sure to say hello to Giuseppe and Dario because they are the best!!

Yelp
Great pizza. Great sandwiches. Have never actually eaten at the restaurant itself, but have had take out many, many times. Also, their gluten free pizza might well be the best gluten free pizza anywhere.

Yelp
Food arrived ice cold and late. Only had to travel 1/2 a block. Poor phone experience when I called to let the Managent know only passed blame and offered no solutions until I suggested them to him. Knew right away that I was calling because my food was cold. Can't recommend a restaurant that knowingly allows sub quality food to leave its doors. Very sad because I truly try to support my local restaurants especially at this time. 2 stars because the food was good once heated

Yelp
Food was mediocre, wine choices were horrible. Staff was extremely rude. The owner especially was very rude to us. I will make sure to tell all our friends not to dine here.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner on a busy weekend. The service was a bit slow (we never saw our waitress again after she took our order). The oysters and fried calamari were fine. The pizza we got was not good, too oily and bland flavors. Will seek pizza elsewhere next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Huge fan of Coco. Great service and greater food. The focaccia bread pizza was a neat idea. The meatball sandwich is amazing. The mini calzones are fun. The oysters are clean.

Yelp
Everything here is perfection. The buzzetti are amazing shareable appetizers. I've never seen this menu item at any other restaurant. The focaccia ribiola is truly special and out of this world. Do not let looks deceive you. The creamy ribiola cheese with white truffle oil is incredible. I also discovered that the chef here, Ciro Verdi (long time colleague of owner Pino Luongo) invented the focaccia ribiola! All of the pizza was delicious and the desserts are all made in house. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Yelp
Excellent Focaccia and pizza. The sausage panozzi is even better. Service is very friendly and prompt.
