"Exactly as the name suggests, this Nashville Original restaurant is known for traditional Italian fare. Step over to the market side for an Italian “virtual tour” which offers products, and take-home recipes from the motherland. Or, opt for pre-made baskets filled with Italian staples. Once the new normal is a reality, check back with CoCo’s for a one-of-a kind Italian travel itinerary customized by the owner’s personal connections back home." - Melissa Corbin

This was our first visit and we will be back. Food was very good and authentic. Cute and cozy place and the deli/store has some neat finds. The only thing that was disappointing was that when I paid the bill, I paid with cash, to avoid the added fee for using my debit card. I gave the waiter an extra $20 so that I would have enough for a tip. He was gone for several minutes and when he came back, I had the change from the bill and the $20 bill was still there. I asked him to make change so that I would be able to leave a proper tip. He told me that he was unable to, that it would be awhile because there wasn't enough cash to make change. This was very frustrating. Management needs to do a better job of assuring there is enough cash on hand so that their waitstaff can get the proper tip they earned.

We were looking to try a new restaurant. This one had the best reviews. Now we know why. We went on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't very busy. Our server, Hampton, was OUTSTANDING!!! We weren't sure what we wanted. But, since so many items looked like they would be delicious, we knew we wanted to order several different items to share. He was beyond gracious and recommended that we just do courses. It was sooooo much fun. Obviously, we know this wouldn't have been possible if they were super busy. But it certainly enhanced our dining experience. Firstly, the Bruschetta was by far the BEST I have ever tasted anywhere!!! The Burrata Cheese was delightful. The Caesar Salad was really delicious as well. The Muffaletta was on point. The Cheese Ravoli Fungi probably would have been better if we hadn't substituted the sauce to the Blush Sauce. On the other hand, the Homemade Marinara was absolutely divine. Lastly, the Cannoli was perfect with it's crisp wafer shell and not overly sweet Ricotta Cheese. We have been telling everyone to give this place a try. If you go on a Saturday or Sunday, you can even request Hampton to be your server.

Ordered Creamy Chicken Marsala.A good friend is Italian so I thought maybe I had a good idea after eating at his house what to expect. The fettuccine was not drained well.I know the sauce is made with wine but there was a pool of water in my bowl. Not creamy, watery. John was my waiter, very upbeat friendly.I asked him for extra roll when food was first brought out.He left and started talking Superbowl to another patron. After several minutes and fist bumps he goes into the kitchen and brings out someone's order.I had stopped eating a few min earlier waiting for the roll.He delivered their food then looked over at my table like,oh yeah he wanted a roll. Finished and left 20% tip. I got a scoop of ice cream on way out and it was awesome. I heard the pizza was really good but I went with John suggested entree. I would probably try Cocos again, not the Marsala though. I try a new restaurant every time I go to different parts of Nashville.

We had the best server tonight! Reese was truly amazing. The food was some of the best Italian we’ve ever had. Must try spot!

Google
Like a little slice of Italy. I ordered the Bolognese Lasagna and I highly recommend it. The top layer of cheese is like on a French onion soup and the bolognese sauce has some deeply caramelized onions that add a very rich flavor. The fresh parsley sprinkled on top adds a nice freshness to balance it out. For an appetizer I had the bruschetta and it inspires images of a fresh garden with each bite, the balsamic glaze on top balances out the flavors of the fresh pesto, tomato, and Parmesan. In conclusion I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try, and I will be making another visit here in the near future.

Google
A wonderful old-school Italian market & restaurant. Come for the pizza and subs, then stay for the amazing home-made baked goods, take home pasta dishes and desserts! The market offers a wide array of Italian specialities from olive oils, sauces and pasta to wines, breads, meats and cheeses! You simply can’t walk out of the store without something delicious! Meraviglioso!

Google
This is a cute spot with yummy food! The service is efficient and the food is tasty. I ordered 3 different dishes and they were all fantastic. The market side is also very cute and has authentic things to purchase!

Google
My gosh! This is the best Italian food I've ever had. It's the kind of food where when you take a bite, you close your eyes and exhale, savoring every moment the food is on your tongue. The service was great and the prices were VERY reasonable. This will be a definite must stop from now on when we're in town!

Yelp
The food here was amazing! We brought a larger group of 7 & everyone enjoyed their food. I'm honestly most impressed with our server Albert. I'm amazed he was able to remember all of our requests by memory & not a single item was wrong. As someone in the industry, that is extremely impressive. The ambiance was quite & calm despite our group being a little more on the rowdy side. Our go to is always the $13 towering cheesecake & it NEVER disappoints. We love it here & will always come here on Wednesday wine nights!! Thank you Albert!!

Anthony D.

Yelp
Lovely experience all around! Primi, secondi were fantastic, and the cheesecake was superb! In culo alla balena!

Yelp
The Italo-American dishes hit all the marks of comfort food. Everyone is super kind and help you.. Eugenio, Italian from Italy greeted us with beautiful "Benvenuti" Ambiance is Italo-American at best in Nashville.

Yelp
Coco's is the ultimate Italian experience! From the food to the service, to the live accordion player. Everything was perfectly cooked and hot. My only complaint is that we sat at the bar and one of the waiters sloshed wet glass water onto our pizza on multiple occasions. Other than that the experience was memorable for sure. Definitely recommend but be sure to get here early! There is hardly an empty seat in the house.

Barbara M.

Yelp
Coco's has an awesome store with imported Italian goods from wine to chocolate to EVOO. Coco's makes their own gelato and has a wide selection of flavors, especially for being not primarily a gelateria. The staff are professional. You enter by the bocce courts, and don't forget they have a bocce league! I will say that the facilities could use updating/reno. Parking can be minority challenging as many of the spots are just feet off of 51st such that backing out of the spots can be tough. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

Stanton D.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The atmosphere is nothing fancy but I very much enjoyed my meal. They have great desserts.

Caroline C.

Yelp
Super friendly and helpful staff they are knowledgeable about the menu. The market at the front is possibly the best part because it has a lot of great finds including pre made meals, frozen pizza dough and fresh pasta. They also have a whole cheese counter/pastry case/truffle case/ and fresh piped cannolis!! We have been for dinner and brunch. The brunch was good. Very authentic in options and flavors. Very thankful we asked about the crepes before ordering because they are not traditional. When we went for dinner we were overly impressed and the meatball was absolutely perfect!

Virginia P.

Yelp
Was spending the night in Nashville & found this place on Yelp. What a nice surprise. We got carry out but almost wish we had not, as the ambiance of the place was so welcoming. I loved the market & could have spent an hour and tons of $ with the exceptional selections but the service was so quick I really didn't have time to browse too much. I got Lasagna bolognese & while it wasn't exactly what I was expecting it was a great dish, very meaty & cheesy. Hubs got chicken parmigiana & the flavoring on the breading was perfect. Also got mussels & they were perfect w lots of bread to soak up the sauce. Topped by a fresh ceasar salad we wee done. I suspect dine in food might have been better but for a carry out experience I had zero complaints. In my opinion I would almost go to Nashville just to have dinner here. Next time I am I. Town I definitely will!

Yelp
I really enjoy my visits to Coco's Italian Market & Ristorante as they have some AMAZING gelato, cannoli and other Italian desserts along with great coffee! I have actually been to Coco's Italian Market in Nashville far fewer times than I have visited Café Coco's in Midtown as I've eaten a LOT of late night food and enjoyed plenty of beverages there for a long while before I ever finally made it to the mothership of Coco's Italian Market. I was really sad when I heard that they had sold Café CoCo but so far it seems that all is still operating as it always has. In my experience so far I find a lot of the Italian food at Coco's Italian Market to not be as good as what they offer in the dessert and coffee side of the house but my taste buds are influenced by the Sicilian sauces we have in New Orleans while the owners at Coco's Italian Market have more of a New York Italian influence so it is only natural you will prefer what you grew up experiencing so there will always be those disputes about what tastes better because of blah blah yet ultimately I think it is often dependent on what we grow up with with some things we like the familiar other times the more foreign and unique to our taste buds. Ultimately though I would still say you should add Nashville's Coco's Italian Market to your list when looking for Italian restaurants in in the area for one of the best options for authentic Italian-American food in a Nashville restaurant. For any full food tour of Nashville you really should add Coco's Market to your Nashville restaurants tour. Overall this is a fantastic place you should check out and at a minimum sample some of their fantastic desserts! My video review of CoCo's Italian Market is here: https://youtu.be/ECzL_u66Xd8

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place and I was a little disappointed. First let's start with the host. He was super rude and seemed annoyed that we decided to come talk to him. The restaurant was decorated like an old school Italian restaurant. It was cute. They have the restaurant section as well as a little market and deli area. Our waiter was ehh. Not super friendly, but he was attentive. Now the food. My fiancé liked his food, however, I found my fettuccine Alfredo to be a little bland. I liked their bread and calamari though. I would be willing to try something different next time to see if it had more flavor.

Yelp
Mamma Mia! Best I've had in Nashville! Service service, food, atmosphere and cleanliness, hands-down!! Thank you Chris for a wonderful service that you gave us. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant for the best Italian food in West Nashville and possibly all of Nashville, TN ;-)

Arthur B.

Yelp
I've only had the pastries here and each time they are fantastic. This definitely feels like an Italian place and is well loved by its customers. Service is good and the ambiance is that of a "traditional" Italian restaurant. Also you can play bocce outside so that's a huge plus!

Yelp
I finally had a good experience with Doordash and Coco's, which is a new restaurant to me. I had knee replacement surgery two weeks ago and have ordered a ton of food through several of the food delivery services for these past 2 weeks. Up until today, every single one has been a nightmare. I've received other people's orders, I've been missing items, the driver(s) had to call me a zillion times trying to find my apartment (which is really pretty easy to find, especially after I wrote out very specific instructions under the delivery notes... ), and in general it's been absolutely horrendous dealing with them all. Because I can barely walk let alone cook, I decided to give it another shot tonight, so I placed an order with Coco's through Doordash. If every food delivery was like this one, we would have a lot more happy (and stuffed) citizens in Nashville! Doordash did everything perfectly, and the driver never had to call me one time, and he placed the food at my door as requested. He got a big tip! Coco's food was excellent. And honestly I can't wait to go back. I ordered the Bolognese, the Bruschetta, and the Lemon Blueberry Cream Cake. Every single item tasted amazing. There is not one thing I would change, and that is saying a lot because I'm the kind of person who always wants something changed or fixed or corrected! I am very happy with the quality of their food, and on top of it all, it wasn't all falling all over the place and smeared and messy in the containers. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Would recommend to anyone!

Yelp
A wonderful Italian restaurant in Nashville - we originally heard about this place from a couple of locals in Nashville! One side had different Italian groceries from snacks to pasta to wine. The other side was their restaurant - and the food was amazing! We shared the Italian Salad, the Tortellini with Blush Sauce, and the Vigo Pizza. People had told us they import their ingredients and it definitely reflected in the food. It wasn't too heavy, the cheese was light and flavorful. The fried eggplant in the Italian salad was delicious as well. We also got the Blackberry Gelato for dessert which was nothing crazy, but solid. It was a super cute, family-run restaurant. They had little memes around the place and frozen meals for people to take home. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in Nashville!

Yelp
We catered a meal from Coco's for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. This was the best experience I have had working with a restaurant. Ashli, Dawn and Eugenio went above and beyond in making sure every detail was correct. They were extremely kind, helpful and hard-working and even helped us with decorating the venue. The food was delicious and many of our guests commented on how good it was. I'm so grateful for such a wonderful evening!

Yelp
Coco's Italian Market brings a taste of Italy to the Nashville, Tennessee area. Overall, this place definitely benefits the culinary scene of Music City. The food here is definitely on point and as an added bonus, the staff is friendly and adds to the overall experience. Service can make or break a restaurant and the staff here is great. I have noticed that Nashville, Tennessee is beginning to bring in better pizza and with this place, Italian food in general. Nashville is definitely more than hot chicken, barbecue and meat and three places and that is definitely a good thing. Nashville, Tennessee is analyzing city and now they can offer top quality dining options. This is definitely one of those restaurants that makes Nashville, Tennessee a better place.

Roy D.

Yelp
I ate at the one on 51st and the customer service was so terrible. The waiter counted my cash in front of me instead of just going over to the side my bill was like $96 I think 25 of it was in ones she thought that I didn't give her enough money so she counted the cash in front of me. I've never been in a restaurant where they count the cash in front of you after you put the cash in the in the book so rude everyone everyone in the place said that that was OK. I asked speak to a manager and I the manager was I guess was not there. Everyone in the place is so rude. I would never go there and I asked no one to ever go there in Nashville. Specially if you're black.

Stacey B.

Yelp
Very good! Authentic Italian ordered the fettuccine Alfredo ! So good !! We also got the tortellini and the gelato ! Loved the market as well

Jonathan E.

Yelp
We had heard great things about this place but I am very disappointed. Maybe we got the worst item on the menu in the Fettuccini Chicken Alfredo but I would think that any great Italian restaurant would have that down. It's super bland, the sauce isn't good and then chicken has zero flavor. I will say that the rolls and marinara sauce we got for $2 were great and absolutely the highlight of our meal. Overall I wanted Coco's to be great but I was very let down! **UPDATE** Not only did the food taste bad but we got borderline food poisoning. It's been a rough couple of hours since eating this for dinner. I absolutely would not recommend. Yikes!

Curtis M.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants in Nashville. This place has that "authentic" Italian feel as soon as you walk through the door.

Ira W.

Yelp
Everything was wonderful. The food, service and atmosphere. We're looking into bringing our wine club here for an event. They also sponsor trips to Italy.

Sasha B.

Yelp
I was near the kiosk while attending a jewelry making workshop nearby. The kiosk was within eyesight and I anticipated getting a cannoli at the end of our session. However, when I walked up to the kiosk at 5:52 pm and perused the confections alongside another patron, I was abruptly told they were closed. I asked the lady next to me if they attended to her and she said they were giving her a free cannoli to sample. It was at that moment that it became utterly clear that my presence as a customer was put off by what I can only assume as my color. I forget sometimes that I am not seen as a welcomed human in some spaces. The attendants, who were elderly, very well may be the owners. It immediately made me think, "these were probably the people pouring milkshakes on John Lewis as he tried integrate the white lunch counters in Nashville..." Thank you Coco's for making me never want to eat a cannoli again in my life. I walked back to the kiosk and took a photo of the sign. The elderly woman attendant said "is there anything I can do for you?" in a frustrated (not friendly) tone. I felt that she was beginning to feel irritated or intimidated by my continued presence after the male attendant had previously shooed me away. I explained that there is nothing they can do for me. I was shocked and hurt at their treatment in that moment. I will let this serve as a lesson learned. Noted.

Kellie H.

Yelp
The worst Italian food I've ever had. Service meh. Not sure what all the hype is about.

Jessica S.

Yelp
My husband and I have eaten at Coco's many times and are always impressed with the food! He loves the chicken marsala and I cannot get enough of their chicken parmesan! For our wedding, we decided to have them cater because we love their food. Our guests raved about the food and the staff at our event was phenomenal! One of the wait staff was overjoyed to work our wedding because it was her first time attending an American wedding and her genuine joy was such a sweet part of the night, she made everyone smile. We highly recommend them for dining in or catering! The catering director was also very helpful and kind leading up to the event.

Cara A.

Yelp
When we lived in Nashville this was our most favorite place to go! It is very hard to find true authentic Italian food. Especially growing up in a very "authentic" Italian home. My son had surgery yesterday and we asked him were he would like to eat. He loves Coco's, unfortunately we haven't been here in about 4 years, since we moved. So we come now when we are out this way for medical visits for our 10 year old boy. We decided to do the 40 minute drive since he requested Coco's! We came in, got seated and while my boy was in the restroom I held his service dog, whom he has had since he was 4 years old. I was approached by a server (named Al) who stated that dogs are not allowed, he proceeded to say that the dog can stay this time, but doesn't want the word to get out! ?!??What??? I asked, "even service dogs?" He responds, "yes!" He then proceeds to state the dog will be blocking a high traffic area. So why sit me here?? I tell him, "when my son returns he will move over to a different area!" As he lays right by his feet. I got nothing but rudeness! I ended up saying let's go! Informed a manger to train their staff! My son was super upset. My boy says, "a true Italian restaurant wouldn't treat other Italians like that!" He said he didn't want to stay, was so upset he was in tears! My husband went in got the servers name and plans to report this establishment! We were both steamed! I know so many people pass off their pets as service animals, but those who just want to live normal lives with their illnesses don't need to be treated this way! Every place needs proper education on this! Not all medical illnesses are visible. This man would not like to be discriminated against, yet he did it to a 10 year old boy with a medical illness. Hope he is proud of himself! Disgusted! A place we all are so fond of has now left a sour taste in our mouths! I will not return.

Kaleigh L.

Yelp
Coco's definitely tastes like an authentic Italian restaurant. Their service can be a bit slow, but they still work hard to do their best! The food is AMAZING. Definitely a more casual spot.

Wendy T.

Yelp
Great pizza, friendly staff. The bon bons in the market were not good. Rhe lemon berry cake was excellent and so was the chocolate mousse cake. We would return.

Emily P.

Yelp
Coco's is a nice intimate and casual spot for your standard Italian cravings. Can't go wrong with spaghetti and meatballs but I've tried a few dishes here and they're all great. Bring a large appetite or be prepared for a to-go box because the portion sizes are impressive. There's also a little Italian market on the inside which is great to grab some fresh ingredients to go.

Bailey P.

Yelp
I had high expectations and unfortunately they did not even scratch the surface. Parking was tight. I lucked out and found a spot up front but my dinner guests had to park at the bank (which I'm not sure is allowed?). I called earlier in the day to make reservations but they said they did not take reservations for parties under 10. The man on the phone reassured me that our party of 6 should have no trouble being seating despite it being a big graduation weekend and mother's day weekend. We arrived around 7pm and the host told us our wait would be 1.5-2 hours. We decided to order to-go instead which took a little over 30 minutes. It was disappointing. First, when you order to-go you don't get any bread. The pizza is basically on a tortilla. The ravioli only came with four pieces (which for $16 is ridiculous). The penne al fresco looked good but was very bland and the quality of the chicken was very poor. The bruschetta was actually decent. It wasn't the traditional hard and crispy bread but I actually prefer a softer bread. The only meal I did enjoy was the one I ordered - tortellini elliston. The sauce was so good! Unfortunately, I don't know if that is a good enough reason to be back.

Jadyn C.

Yelp
Fettucine Alfredo has to be the worst thing on this menu! It tastes soo bad i wouldn't even give it to my worst enemy. It tastes like straight olive oil and pepper ... no other flavor. Wish I could get my money back for this trash! DO NOT ORDER! Wish I could give it 0 stars.

Seth S.

Yelp
I've seen better pizza in public school cafeterias. Avoid at all costs. Worst pizza I've ever paid for.

Naudia S.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Food was average and service was below :/

Olivia J.

Yelp
One of my favorite comfort meals. Our server Albert was also amazing and made the experience so pleasant. Give that man a raise!

Brionna W.

Yelp
First time at cocos all the way from Minnesota! First impression was great, authentic ambience and a cute deli in the lobby area. However when we sat down our service was terrible. Forgot the beer, brought out the wrong appetizer, gave us the wrong bills and when he went to take care of the payment just left all of our credit cards unattended. Very disappointed with the negligence and disregard for my personal information. If the food wasn't so good I probably would never return.

Mary H.

Yelp
We picked up some take out dishes for a small gathering and everything was extremely good and tasty with substantial sized portions. We started with the Vigo pizza as an appetizer and what a treat it was. Then we moved on to Ceasar salads that were done well. For entrees, we had the fettucini and meatballs, penne al fresco, and the tortellini. Everyone thought their dishes were delicious. And finally we finished with the Italian Lemon Berry Cream cake which was light and flavorful. I could not have been more pleased and satisfied than we were with this meal and Coco's !

Jared M.

Yelp
#fatjared say...It's a market, it's a restaurant, its a bocci ball court, it's a gelataria, it's honestly all kinds of great great fun that anyone can come to and enjoy. It's not perfect, but man is it good! For me to give a restaurant, or anywhere that is, 5 stars, you have got to be perfect. 5 stars on Yelp is the best you can get, which means that is perfect, So if you mess up at all, you can't get 5 stars. Coco's is a great spot, and honestly it is about a 3.5 out of 5. My complaints are that the area to eat is actually very dark. I know you're going for an Italian feel, but I like to be able to see my food. The other thing is that while the menu is amazing, it can be very very overwhelming. There are SO MANY options, and while that shows some expertise and authenticity, it can make ordering a bit difficult. I ordered an Italian sandwich, and the bread was fresh, meat was tasty, veggies crisp, not too much sauce, it's what you would want. The pasta my wife ordered (not pictured sorry) was great tasting pesto and tender pasta. Not spectacular, but very good. The salad from my MIL was also tasty, bacon added is always a plus, but not spectacular either. Overall, it was above average, but not enough above to warrant 4 stars. I enjoyed it, will come back for sure, even suggest coming here, but am also convinced there are better much better Italian options in Nashville!

Jeff H.

Yelp
Traveling through we stumbled across this gem. Hands down THE BEST Italian food we have ever had! The service was amazing and the inside was so authentic.

Yelp
Food was terrific, service was prompt, but server had a bad attitude and seemed very annoyed by his job.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go here for a hot minute, and some family friends decided to eat here for dinner one night, so naturally I was pretty excited to go. I've always heard evenly mixed reviews about this place, which scared me at first. It was either really tasty or just meh. My experience seemed to be pretty good, and it was a really tasty meal. I went with the Penne al Fresco, which has penne pasta, chicken, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives and sun-dried tomatoes in a white wine and pesto sauce. Surprisingly pretty dang tasty! Hoping to go back sometime soon

Yelp
This is an authentic Italian American Ristorante and market. Our meal was wonderful. I ordered the side Caesar with grilled salmon. My partner ordered chicken Alfredo and the Italian side salad. The side salads are fairly large. I will get the Italian salad next time with the house Italian which was Delicious. This is also a market with all kinds of products such as hand made candies, cakes, sauces, lunch meats, a deli, frozen handmade pizzas and on and on. The service was good and pretty fast. The ambience in the restaurant is something you don't find in restaurants much anymore. I would go back there just for the ambience. And they sell pizza by the slice at lunchtime. We would order a pizza next time as it looked like an authentic Italian pizza. Our second trip there we went for lunch and we ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It was to die for absolutely perfect. Also, we both had the Italian salad with our pizza. Highly recommended! *****. I can't wait to go back to Nashville and eat here again.

Yelp
This restaurant has the best, most authentic and fresh Italian food that Nashville has to offer. Period. It's so very good! I love how this location is so many things rolled into one- a market, a gelato and truffle stand, a wine shop, a restaurant, a bocce ball court... just a neat little spot. Even if you only intend on showing up to eat a meal, you are likely to find something else to do or see or eat or buy while you are there! I've been eating here for years and I've always loved it. I enjoyed dinner here with a friend tonight and to be totally honest, I wasn't thrilled with the wait time for service (taking orders, bringing checks, that sort of thing... the food came out pretty quick so the kitchen was on top of it!). BUT that being said, I don't think that this is typical when I consider the many times I've eaten here over the years. Service can be hit or miss sometimes at any restaurant and I can't dock this delicious place even one star for having to wait a few extra minutes here and there for things because I just love the food that much! The pastas are all my favorite but pizza here is great, too! I'm a fan of the huge meatballs. They're so yummy! The bolognese sauce is so decadent. Is you like pesto, try the penne pollo pesto for sure! My son had the kids spaghetti with a meatball earlier and the marinara sauce was the best in the entire world. The desserts are so perfect too... that cheesecake should be ALL KINDS OF ILLEGAL for being that delicious. Not to mention all of the chocolates and the gelatos. All of the portions are so massive, too. You definitely get enough to take home leftovers! You honestly cannot find better in all of Nashville even if you search high and low. Such a unique place! One of my absolute favorites!

Yelp
I absolutely adore Coco's! Being a true New Yorker, it's quite a challenge to find excellent Italian cuisine in Nashville. However, Coco's has become my ultimate go-to spot for all my Italian cravings! I can't express enough how much I love them. Growing up Italian in Brooklyn, New York, that's saying something! Well, except for the fact that there's a lack of good Italian bread here, their dishes are absolutely mouthwatering! Five Stars from me!!!!

Yelp
Hands down the best - the only - Italian in the Sylvan Park area of Nashville. Other restaurants claim to be "Sicilian" when the globs of cream and abundance of pork scream otherwise (our very much alive Sicilian Nonna, lover of her clean, heart healthy Mediterranean Sicilian seafood dishes would already be prematurely rolling over in her grave over that blasphemy but hey a nod of respect to the owner who was able to successfully tap into the local palette). Others claim to be "authentic" while being very hit or miss and too expensive to miss with runny oily sauce on overcooked spaghetti and sad, soggy cannoli. Forget about it! Coco's is a fantastic classic American Italian red sauce joint, just like the ones back in Brooklyn. The sauce! Why should I be cooking for 12 hours when I can hop over to Coco's? That crisp when you bite into the cannoli, even when it's close to closing... it brought tears to my eyes! Instantly brought me back to being a kid every winter driving into the city to get the good cannolis. The warm, beautiful staff. Felt like coming home. If you're down south and missing the tri-state area or getting hungry from binge watching The Sopranos, Coco's it is. There is nothing else. And hey, if those other places are for you, that's fine, but you don't know American Italian, and you definitely don't know Italian. And that's ok, there is something for everyone.

Yelp
If you are wanting to be transported back to Italy with great wine and phenomenal food, This is the place for you! Now I do realize that we are in BBQ land, but this restaurant has been around for 4 generations and the food is absolutely amazing. It's a must try here in Nashville. The one thing I recommend is that you save room for dessert. Their affagado and canollis are to DIE FOR! The pricing is very fair and you will leave full and happy. The other great thing about this place is that they have an Italian market connected to the restaurant. It's fantastic! They even offer their pizza and pasta in a ready to bake container for you to purchase and take home. I can't wait to come back just so I can eat here again.

Yelp
Food was fabulous- highly recommend the lasagna. The Italian grocery store is stocked with hard to find items direct from Italy. Gelato - yum!!

Yelp
So we did dine in recently and it was such a lovely experience. The mozzarella app is a must if you're dining in because it was so yummy when hot and fresh. I ordered Marsala again and hubby ordered the mushroom ravioli with Alfredo and he added shrimp. I feel like whenever I order Marsala I'm jealous of the Alfredo and whenever I order the Alfredo I'm jealous of the Marsala so I'm happy we always order both so I can steal a little from my hubby lol. Rolls are great as usual to dip into the sauces. The pizzas also looked and smelled so good based off what we saw others order and we almost ordered one to try but we decided to get dessert instead. Hubby got tiramisu again and I got 2 mini cannolis. We were the first ones there for an early dinner so there was plenty of seating but by the time we left it was packed. We will definitely be back for dine in and will be trying a pizza next time!

Yelp
This little joint was so cute! The atmosphere of this place was perfect for a dinner with friends or a romantic night. Over all the staff was friendly. They were relatively busy for the one or two waiters they had inside. But he was wonderful. The market was very cute and I would say good prices. Now on to the food.!! The best things were the tiramisu and bruschetta!! They were absolutely delicious!!! Which is why I forgot to get a pick of the whole plate of bruschetta!!! The beef sub was pretty good but not great. It's was missing it's pickled veggies (giardiniera)..Which was a little upsetting. And we didn't realize that till eating a half the sub. Torpedo the meats were average.. Nothing special.. But not bad! And pasta salad was amazing! Flavor was really good. The vinaigrette was a layer of flavor. The cheese raviolis were pretty good.. flavor wise. They were lukewarm tho.. And sadly the veal was way over cooked.. and rubbery... Over all I would go back and try something different and definitely get the bruschetta and tiramisu

Yelp
Dessert was delish, you can buy full cakes in the store connected to the restaurant. We were flying home with no way to transport or else I would have!
