Cocotte Shoreditch

Delicious halal rotisserie chicken. Small menu which is great it keeps things simple. Not everything is halal so please check beforehand. The service was amazing, couldn't fault it. Would visit again.

We booked a table for nine on a Friday night and were told on arrival that burgers and schnitzel listed on the menu were unavailable. We then attempted to order pints of lager, also on the menu, only to be told there was no draught beer at all—just five small tins remaining. We asked whether happy hour could be offered to make up for this, but this was declined, so we left. UPDATE 17th January: Following my initial review, the manager reached out and kindly offered £100 off a return visit. I went back today with one other guest (which I cleared with them in advance), and the experience was completely different. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and everything that was missing before was fully available. I really appreciate the business taking accountability and making an effort to win us back. It was a fantastic meal.

Disappointed. I was great but it changed. There is zero sweet meal on the menu for the brunch. That’s weird for a brunch restaurant. Food is good.

Its a great restaurant with great food. I've been to this restaurant twice now. Their rotisserie is moist, juicy and flavorful. Their truffle fries and mash are our go to. Reasonably priced as well. The only thing we did not enjoy is the chicken soup, for the price we expected it to be creamy and not watery. It is not soup if it's just chicken with added water. We expected more for a 9 gbp "soup".

We went to Cocotte at 7:30pm yesterday to an almost empty place (cf pic) and wanted to enjoy a dessert. The waiter refused to sit us in for dessert only (“I’m not gonna sit you in just for dessert”) so we went to another place. I’m not sure the business owner would be happy about such practices to refuse services.

Our server (Cemre) was so lovely and accommodating! It was a little cold because the door was open. Also a l few more soft drink/ sweeter cocktail options would have been great but my friend & I still really enjoyed the experience. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic brunch. Simple dishes elevated to another level. Loved the oeuf cocette and was spoilt for choice as a vegetarian. Small criticism is that we would've preferred more choices of hot drinks with brunch but will be back!

I booked this restaurant for a birthday celebration for a table of 14. The staff were super accommodating. We were looked after really well. Most of my party really enjoyed their food. Mine was pretty nice, the nduza sauce is amazing! The bottomless package is good value and allows a group with different preferences as not everyone had to go for the same package. We had a great time!
