Beautiful food! We stepped in for dinner while walking through west village on a weekday night . The place is very welcoming, was not too busy. The cocktail menu were full of classics but they were really nice. We tried the gin fizz and the dark and stormy. For the food, the truffle gnocchi, the lobster ravioli and the bolognese pasta were simply perfect. The pepperoni pizza was good! Excellent service, we look forward to come back again!

We passed by this beautiful space and decided to have dinner. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the restaurant ambience is nice with beautiful interior lighting. The cocktails, the tiramisu was amazing, the fries and the pizza could have been better but the price is just outstanding what takes the not so amazing nyc pizza away. Overall I would like to say they are friendly and if they could make the pizza a step better or more like how nyc pizza should be then this place will be the next place to hang.

The perfect Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, we felt it was made for us on the spot. The pasta felt super high quality. The portion were big and we ended up super full and happy. The waiter was nice and welcoming, he explained us the menu and helped with everything that we need.

It was my first time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprise about the food, the ambience and the courtesy of the staff. Shout out to Mark, we had really a great experience. We’ll definitely go back. Highly recommended!

Good spot for Italian / European food. The appetizers are really delicious, especially the ceviche, the gambas and the eggplant. The mains are not as good (although the pesto pasta was goods so I’d recommend having more appetizers. Deserts are good as well. Really nice, homely vibe with great service.

Good food but what shined for me was the waiter, who played every role - seated people, took orders, explained the menu, served, made cocktails. It was a busy night and he was on top of it.

Our server, Samet, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The experience was fantastic, and the food was amazing. So glad we discovered this hidden gem!

10/10. Got the Cesare to start. Creamy and delicious. It was tough for us to make a decision because there were so many good options. Right as we thought we knew what we wanted, our server hit us with the specials. Ended up going with the specials: Truffle Gnocci & Lobster Ravioli with a vodka sauce. OOOOOOF. That was good. Super cute vibe inside as well.

Samet is THE most amazing host ! Single handedly managed the whole restaurant with grace and efficiency ! The food is off the charts amazing and the atmosphere is warm and inviting . We will be back again and again Thank you for a fabulous evening !

Casual approachable wine bar in the village. Tried the Gambas and Tomato Stewed Calamari. They didn't stand out but they did the job. Many selections for wine by the glass to try.

Did pick up, and the pizza was pretty good. Ordered two regular-margheritas. Was enough for two adults fresh hot and somewhat authentic. I'd love to try it again for dine-in. Overall, would recommend for a quick pick up spot.

Very reasonable prices for the neighborhood (most dishes sub $20) and wonderful food. Surprised that it took me so long to find Codino. Might suffer from search engines thinking I meant to type "casino."

Cozy space, very attentive service, and delicious food. First time here was for a holiday party, but I will be back!!

Really great and solid Italian spot. It's cute and intimate for a date night, but they also do larger parties and the wine in drinks flow so def a good spot for friends! They have a great basic wine list, we got a bottle of red between three and really enjoyed. For food we got the diavola spicy pizza which was amazing, thin crust, wood fired, and def had a kick! Feta salad was absolutely delicious, bright and fresh. And lastly pesto pasta which was deliciously creamy. I feel like I found a little hidden gem in the crazy west village. I will definitely be back here to enjoy more of the menu. Service was kind and great!

Amazing! We loved the food and drinks so much (along with the ambiance) we came back a second time on our trip to NYC! We encountered some rude customers and the staff reassured us that we were welcome. 10/10 recommend the staff and food are amazing! :)

I can already tell this place will be in my regular rotation - what an absolute gem! This is a very cute Italian restaurant with lovely ambiance. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. To start, we got one of the appetizer specials - it was a roasted octopus salad and it was delicious. The octopus was cooked perfectly and it was very flavorful. For entree, I got another special which was the pesto risotto with shrimp -- divine! My friends got the rigatoni bolognese and the pesto pasta with shrimp and they both loved it. The prices are also VERY affordable - $12 personal pizzas and cocktails are hard to beat, especially in west village. The seafood dishes are also very reasonable. I can't wait to come back again!!

Amore at first sight. Value, flavor and low key generosity. Firstly there is house bread- Roman style with good olive oil. The entrees are $19 and come with salad and fries. Ate: Calamari appetizer Branzino entree Diavala pizza Total $55 The starter was so pretty- with chucks a grilled calamari. My fish was big and delicious with a nice salad. The pizza was a showstopper!!! This could be my new favorite local spot!!!!

What a bang for your buck! This place was delicious and so well priced! The fair pricing made splitting a bunch of things really easy. This place gives you the option to have a few small plates and share, or fill up on a big meal, without breaking the bank. It was cozy and small, great for a date. I am taking points off for a few small things unrelated to the food, or else I would have given this place 5 stars. Firstly, when we walked in the hostess was painting her nails? Definitely a little odd. And the bathroom is through the kitchen and was slightly flooded. Granted it was a very wet rainy day, still to walk through the kitchen to a very slippery wet floor felt a little off putting. Nonetheless- we will be back!

Tasty food! Great service! Our pizza was delicious and so was the bread served before the meal. The branzino was delicious and both plates of branzino consistent. The steak was more inconsistent, two people ordered the steak medium rare and they came out at different done-ness and with very differing amounts on each plate which was odd. The spaghetti was good. The wine was just okay, but maybe that's on us for not selecting a good bottle. Overall great pricing and good atmosphere, just lacking some consistency. I'm excited to go back, I'm sure my opinion will only improve as they get their footing :)

This is THE hidden gem in the West Village. The food is FLAWLESS. 100% Should be Michelin rated but I'm sure not political enough (or weird enough). Just incredible food and atmosphere and service. All an authentic boutique NY experience, highly recommended. Don't know how they do it, we eat out 5 nights a week at places like Pastis, Catch Steak and Lure - Sagra's food and service blows them all away for 1/3 the price. And atmosphere is not sacrificed. Kudos to whoever is running this place.

Sagra Pizza Bar is a great option for a cozy meal, with its dim lighting and exposed brick walls. It's a larger of the small restaurants in the area and has the option of few outdoor seats. The personal pizzas were a great value. They were supposed to be 12" but I think they were definitely larger than that. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. The pizza quality itself offered a crust on the thicker side. The vongole pizza had a small clam on every side. The shrimp pizza didn't seem to have very fresh shrimp and was a little salty. My favorite was the funghi pizza which was generously topped with mushrooms and a drizzle of truffle oil. Service was very friendly, but maybe a little slow for overall new york pace. It took forever to get our check, had to ask three times, but on the flip side I did not feel like I was being rushed out. Overall, Sagra Pizza Bar is a great place to go for a delicious and affordable meal.

Such a great spot! Atmosphere and food were excellent and the service was great. We had the kale pecorino salad, broccoli pizza, side of broccoli, and I think something similar to a garlic knot filled with vegetables and ricotta (it tasted like a mini calzone - yum!) Will definitely be back again!!

This is a really cute place with really kind employees. The ambiance is beautiful and cozy, and the food is delicious. We ordered the mushroom pizza and the beet salad. For the price, the vibes and food were immaculate.

Interesting experience. We showed up for our reservation down the street and asked if we were able to be moved inside. They said yes! But at a different restaurant. Ok sure, we're up for new experiences! So the manager led s down the road to Sagra which he informed us just opened. We got a sausage pizza which was solid flavors and fantastic crust. I should also mention the prices. I am guessing they are on account of the restaurant being brand new but they are LOW. It was an amazing deal for Italian which seems to skew pretty pricey. So I got the Bistecca steak, tried the Branzino, and the Spaghetti. Steak was good, Branzino was good. Spaghetti was excellent. I think they are still finding their rhythm in the kitchen, but they just opened so that's not that crazy. The service overall was good too. The floor manager made sure the wine glasses were full and did not charge extra. Cannot wait to get back here.

I actually don't know why this place is rated so low. I had a good experience, but the restaurant was also fairly empty so maybe that's why. I came around 7:30PM on a Sunday night and was 1 out of 3 other parties there. The menu itself was straightforward, and honestly standard for NYC Italian food. I'd say the portions are more tapas style. My boyfriend and I have a fairly large appetite, so an appetizer, 2 pasta dishes, and 1 side dish was enough for us. We received complimentary bread, but it tasted really stale. It was cold, hard, and dry, and even when we asked for butter, it came out cold. I don't dip my bread in olive oil/balsamic vinegar so I just ended up dipping it in my pasta sauces. 1. The Costicine di Agnello (grilled lambchops) was the first to arrive. It was yummy! Sauce and potatoes were also super tasty. I'd probably order this again. 2. Fettuccine ai Funghi (wild mushrooms & truffle oil) was next. Nothing spectacular, but I think this is a dish you'd have to be in the mood for, so we were both satisfied. 3. Lasagne Bolognese. I was excited for this dish, but was a little disappointed. The sauce itself was cold and warm in some areas, but the lasagne was hot. Maybe it was sitting out for a bit but I was confused when I was tasting some cold tomatoes in there. The taste of the lasagne itself was decent though. 4. Cavolini (Roasted brussel sprouts). Yummy side dish! No complaints there. I wouldn't mind coming back here. Via Carota was my first choice, but this was a quick find after, and I'm happy we got to try it.

The pizza is amazing and very affordable! The place has a great vibe even though it's quite small. Great spot in the neighborhood and everyone was very friendly. Need to try the pasta next!

We had a wonderful meal here the other night. Dollar blue point oysters were a nice start to the meal. Can't beat the price and flavor. Grilled eggplant starter was nicely cooked. Very good flavor. Cheese ravioli was tasty as well. Nice mix of ricotta and spinach. The sauce was light and full of flavor. Lobster ravioli had a good flavor and lots of flavor. Will come back to try some other items. Service was good and friendly.

Okay, if you are in west village, you must try this gem! I am writing a five star review because the experience was amazing from start to finish, not because the bathroom wall is telling to me write one . As we entered this cute picturesque establishment, my party made the reservation at the other location by mistake. However, the staff kindly accommodated us. The drinks and octopus appetizer were amazing to start. Then for dinner the pizza and penne pesto, which were absolutely divine. The penne pesto had artichoke in it, which I'm not an artichoke fan, but really enjoyed it. This truly became a five star review because of the servers who were so attentive and sweet: Brady, Gigi, and another young server/hostess wearing glasses whom I didn't catch her name. I will be returning because I truly enjoyed my experience here.

Impeccable service and food. The ambiance is welcoming and classy. We had the octopus salad and carbonara pizza. The octopus was perfectly charred; tasty and fresh. I cannot emphasize more on the service. I'd give it 20 stars if I could.

I did not enjoy the food or the drinks here. I came with a groups of girls and we ordered a bunch of different food and drinks. The cocktails were so light and my Riesling tasted like it was open for at least a week. I absolutely did not enjoy my special pasta. There was nothing special about the pasta. The linguine and shrimp were super undercooked. I don't even want to go on.

This pizza bar is super cozy and cute, with open brick walls and a great outdoor seating arrangement as well. We sat by the bar and the server was very welcoming, walked through special items on the menu and was very patient as she waited for us to choose our items. The pizza was amazing and dough was fluffy, portions were sizable and all round a very great and affordable experience

Perhaps I ordered delivery when they were having a bad night. The Margherita pizza was merely a step above a frozen pizza. Not a true Margherita at all, no fior di latte as they list on the menu. I'm Italian and grew up in the restaurant business, I know good pizza. This was definitely not a good choice at all. With a 100 other pizza places in NY I won't bother to try this place again. I don't like leaving bad reviews because I know how hard the biz can be but when food is bad, customers have a right to know. This was more like a kids pizza at an arcade place.

Really yummy food!!! We made friday night dinner reservations at this restaurant and were very happy with our experience. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star vs 5 is because even though we had reservations a table was not ready when we arrived and there was an additional 20 minute wait for us to be seated. We were able to sit at the bar and eventually decided to just eat our meal at the bar. I ordered the mushroom pizza and it was delicious!! Would definitely recommend! We also ordered the garlic knots as appetizers, but this was burned at the bottom :( Overall, great food and would recommend for an intimate meal with a small group!

came here for a girls dinner on Sunday evening. The staff was so friendly and helpful- they have so many specials! we tried the suggested octopus salad for a starter which was delicious. I couldn't decide between pizza and pasta and ended up going with the pesto penne and added shrimp (which wasn't additional cost btw!) ended up eating the leftovers when I got home. Will definitely be coming back for some delicious authenticate and affordable Italian cuisine

Pizzas were so damn good. and for $12?? can't beat that. the gnocchi rolls were bland and tasted like they've been in the freezer for a while. The mojito was so fresh and the penne pasta was so good too. I'll be back. the inside was so cute and quiet. the staff were the best too. Love it here

One of my friend's birthday is on Valentine's Day, so she organized her birthday dinner on Valentine's Day at Codino that my boyfriend & I attended. We had such a lovely time - The food, ambiance and service were great! To set the ambiance, since it was Valentine's Day, the restaurant ceiling was covered in red balloons! With the dim, romantic lighting, and exposed brick walls, the restaurant truly looked magical! The servers were very warm & welcoming and explained the wine list & menu, and we decided to share a couple bottles of wine, some small plates and each order a meal. The cool thing about the menu is all the small plates are $14 and the entrees are $16, which I think is pretty reasonable for NYC. We were a party of 7 and shared the following: Small plates: -Crostini di Pulpo - Octopus dish -Burrata Special - Prosciutto wrapped burrata (my favorite of the small plates!) -Tortino di Granchio e Funghi - Crab & shrimp cakes -Calamari in Umido -Cozze Marinate - Sauteed Mussels Entrees: -Truffle Gnocchi Special -(my favorite of the pastas; we all had a taste of each others who were willing to share lol) -Gnocchi Sorrentina - Tomato sauce -Maccheroni al Tartufo - Truffle Mac & Cheese -Tortelloni d-Aragosta - Lobster Ravioli -Tortelli Prosciutto e Piselli - Tortelli with prosciutto, peas and cream sauce (my dish) -Filet mignon The server also brought out a bunch of birthday treats for my friend on the house, which we all shared and enjoyed! We really had a lovely time and I would recommend the spot to anyone for a birthday, date, or weekend dinner.

Such a cute small place in Greenwich Village. Perfect for indoor dining during covid because it only fits a small number of tables/ people. The food was amazing for a pretty good price. The goat cheese / mango/ arugula salad was FANTASTIC. It was a "special" so may not be available all the time but seriously one of the best salads ever. The super thin cut mango slices under a bed of fresh arugula leaves and fried and coated warm goat cheese on top was simply delicious. The personal pizzas are delicious and HUGE. Definitely enough to share. Gnocchis were custom-made at a customer's request with a cream sauce and were very filling and wonderful. Topped with excellent customer service and a beautiful cozy ambiance. There is a loud squeal that happens each time tte door opens, but we tried to make the sound part of the restaurant's true charm. Definitely recommend.

Charming and delicious venue that brought about some serious holiday cheer. The service was impeccable with warm bread, soulful playlist and attentive waitstaff. Food was gorgeous and flavorful!

Cocktails are really good and from the wine list I would recommend the Super Toscana or Nero D'avola. We had the Tuna with Guacamole appetizer and it was delicious. The Mushroom Risotto was amazing and the Pork Ribs were tasty and juicy. The place has a beautiful rustic ambience and the service ... amazing!!!

What started out great, with a cheap menu, cute interior, and good service, but the end of the night was a bit messy! Our table wasn't ready so we sat at the bar and ordered espresso martinis. It was pretty good, but there wasn't enough foam for my liking. We eventually sat down and ordered the garlic knots, which were really good! They were probably the most overpriced thing on the menu however. We ordered entrees and quickly they started coming out, but half of the meals were completely wrong and the waiter apologized by saying "second round of drinks is on us". I proceeded to order another drink (weak Moscow mule). Once they got my shrimp pizza with no cheese correct, it was really good! There was plenty of shrimp and they were good sized. I could only eat about half. Then, I stepped away from the table for 5 minutes and I saw that they threw out my remaining food, not asking if I wanted to take home half of a pizza. I was quite disappointed in this. In addition, half my party was charged for our second drinks. The excuse was only the second round for the half that had already ordered drinks were free, and he knocked off one drink from the tab. Still a bit chaotic at best and conniving at worst from the service. I was delighted by the cheap prices, but I don't think I'll ever come back.

Disappointed. Over priced. Order all special even the bucatini. Was sad to see a place like that doesn't even make fresh pasta. Flavors was standard and safe. Something I can whip up in the house. And for a $200 check I should of. WTH

Overall very disappointing experience. I have PTSD from watching Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and every time he orders lobster ravioli, it's not good and frozen. Nightmares do come true, friends. Lobster ravioli was absolutely frozen and the sauce tastes like chef boyarde himself made it. Broccoli rabe tasted like it was microwaved and was bitter and soggy, and the truffle gnocci was swimming in a liquidy (was supposed to be cream) sauce. Service was good though!

I really wanted to leave a good review for this restaurant. It's authentically Italian, has a lovely vibe and the host and waiters are very friendly. They even made a special dessert by request for my friend. Unfortunately, my food and that of another member of my party's food was undercooked. His pasta was undercooked - not al dente - his fork could not pierce the pasta, so undercooked. My dish, the linguine with clams was really good until I realized that 2 of the 5 of the were still shut tight (eg undercooked). I told the manager and he offered to bring our more clams, but I was no longer hungry. Anyway, I do recommend this restaurant and I hope that they're more careful when sending out dishes in the future.

We stumbled upon this place on a late NY night. The service was impeccable. Thank you for letting us sit in even though you almost closed already. Thanks for the kindness and the banters we exchanged. The drinks were delish. Deffo coming back to try the food!

This restaurant makes the absolute tastiest drinks and tastiest pizza! Great ambiance and even better food! A MUST visit when in the west village!

Food is always amazing here! The staff is awesome and make you feel like family. After only a few visits the staff knew me and remembered my drink order. I was sad to see them close for a few months during COVID but I am so happy that they have reopened and I plan to visit often.

Table for my 9 family members in town for a wedding and Sagra's was absolutely wonderful . Pizza,pasta, chicken, salad with all the trimmings and the meatballs TO DIE FOR. I wanted to lick the plate. Service was attentive and prompt. We had a great time .Wishbtheybwere open for lunch because I would go back today.

Overall , it's a reasonably priced restaurant for food and drinks with a nice atmosphere and really friendly staff! As a vegetarian, the Margherita pizza was pretty standard. My friends had the Diavola and Cubana and said both were good!

Love this place! It's cute, rustic, and kind of intimate but also feels buzzy and happening. Food was delicious. There was a gnocchi special that lovely. Carbonara pizza - not on menu, so ask for it! The manager, Mark, was so great to us! We had a growing group and he didn't make us fee like we were imposing at all - just kept getting us chairs. Very attentive and accommodating and extremely friendly. If I lived closer, would probably be my neighborhood spot.

rude customer service received countless of stares for no reason , my pasta took more than half an hour to arrive , the truffle mac and cheese tasted like moldy boot , there was a $30 tip which i DID not agree on and i wasn't aware of because they didint tell me it would be that much before hand and i requested my check and it took them another half an hour to give it to me and also i asked to see the check to see how much everything added up to and he said i have to pay first then i could see it like what the hell? i couldn't even split the check with my group they are the most money hungry and the food isint even all that go to dominos instead .
