"One of San Diego's first specialty coffee roasters & tasting bars, Coffee & Tea Collective offers a streamlined menu of select single origin coffees and espresso drinks. Looking to see some coffee roasting in action? This is the place. Designed to be clean and simple, this location is almost laboratory-like in aesthetic to keep the focus on what's in the cup. Also serving some of San Diego's finest toast & street waffles! Check them out for monthly art shows, music performances, and local collaborations with restaurants and breweries!" - Grizzly

Google
Came by this weekend and the place was pretty busy but not in a bad way. Vibe was cool and the staff seemed like they actually cared, which you dont always see. I got the seasonal drink think it was a black sesame latte or something? sounded weird but it was fire. My friend had a flash brew and said it was super smooth. Only thing is I wish they had more basic coffee options, like a darker roast. felt like everything was kinda fancy. Still, the space is clean, artsy and not too loud. Def worth checking!

Google
Genuinely love this place, coffee is awesome, either I’m having an espresso, a pour over or drip coffee, it never disappoints. Baristas are friendly and the spot feels really cozy. The only thing is their hours, they open really late and close early. It’s annoying in general waiting till 7:30 am when rush hour is about to start on traffic to work.

Mav

Google
Amazing service and very knowledgeable baristas who helped me pick the best beans for my taste buds and home espresso setup.

Google
We religiously frequent Coffee & Tea Collective on the weekends, and it never disappoints. From a classic cappuccino to one of their fun seasonal drinks (currently black sesame tea latte?? YUM), the drinks are beautifully executed, thoughtfully made, and always delicious. Depending on time of day, it can be a little bit crowded, but for two of us, we can always find seating. The rotating art on the walls is lovely visual plus too!

Scott Williams

Google
Nice atmosphere nice caring employees. They do not have a dark roast coffee just one signature blend from somewhere. I do enjoy the minimalist decor. 5 stars if they had more black coffee options.

Google
Another coffee stop on our list! We had the orange blossom latte and the Ethiopia Gedeb Flash Brew (iced pour over). Delicious and glad we stopped here!

Google
Amazing coffee, beautiful atmosphere, and kind-hearted baristas—thank you Joe and Dulce for the amazing experience! My favorite shop and coffee in San Diego!

Google
Coffee & Tea is the place to go if you're looking for a high quality coffee drink served with care and a smile. Get there early if you'd like a delicious pastry. You can always count on yummy seasonal drinks. I know there's several options in San Diego when it comes to getting your favorite latte or drip coffee, but in my opinion Coffee & Tea is the best.

Yelp
Got the cold brew Moonlight White and it was pretty good. I would've bought some if I didn't already have enough tea to last me 10 years at home. Staff was nice and fast. Some indoor seating and good for studying. Small but cute and has decent street parking.

Emilie R.

Yelp
I visited this shop for the first time today. The shop is very cute. The minimalist decor with plants & some art work is super inviting. They have seating at the bar & at the entrance if you're looking to get some work done. The baristas were super sweet & inviting. I didn't try any food this time. Maybe next time! Shout out to the barista with the cool tattoos and potion shirt for the black sesame caramel rec. the coffee is sweet but still strong! I'll def be back.

Lisa K.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop! The drinks we ordered were a matcha latte and another latte. The matcha latte was tasty, but not enough sweet so it tasted a little bit bland for me. The person who took my order was friendly, so the service was good!! The drinks did not take long either. The seating was spaced out and simple. It hard seating so it wasn't a place I would stay to study or work from home for that reason. Overall recommend!

Jennifer V.

Yelp
This coffee spot? A true delight. The music sets the tone, making every sip a revelation. The staff's warmest, gentlest smiles perfectly complement their thorough drink crafting. It's the unforgettable post-spin/yoga ritual that makes my mornings!

Yelp
As someone that's used to how OC & LA county make their lattes, I find myself disappointed with a lot of the lattes here in SD. However, this place has great quality coffee & latte art! I almost ordered another one for the road. I ordered a vanilla latte and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved that it wasn't too sweet and the milk to espresso ratio was well balanced. Also, pretty good spot for studying and the music isn't too loud. As for seating, there are tables and bar seating available. The only con is street parking can get a little tough in this area.

Joyce I.

Yelp
A great study spot! Lots of tables and good wifi. Not a lot of outlets so make sure to charge up before you go. I tried the sparkling tea and I really liked it! Parking can be harder, but you just might need to walk a bit. Would recommend!

Sesang Y.

Yelp
Food/Drinks: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 8/10 This cafe is one of my favorites in san diego! They have really good quality americanos and vanilla lattes which are everything for me! Usually I don't struggle to find seating! And just a good place to either catch up with friends or get work done!

Cindy W.

Yelp
Favorite coffee in SD - hands down! Even with the NP parking. Food: - Vanilla Latte (Iced): 5/5 - Black salted caramel: 5/5 - Liege waffles: 5/5 Service: On the slower end depending on staffing. But still worth the wait! Ambiance: Artsy and clean aesthetic. Will be back soon!

Sean H.

Yelp
Small hipster coffee shop "tucked away" on El Cajon blvd. You can tell the baristas here are really passionate about their craft- every time I've gotten something it's been top notch. I'd recommend an espresso forward drink to get that satisfying hit of a quality pull (the banana latte I tried was good but way too milky/sweet) The pastries are served on a nice plate with gorgeous silverware, very instagrammable - and tasty! Lots of locals and regulars but even so I've always found a spot to work from for an hour or two during the week!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I love the feel and vibe of this coffee shop. Doesn't seem like one of the "IG worthy" type of coffee shops and instead more of a locals type of place. They have a decent amount of indoor seating and outdoor seating. I got the "lump o coal" (black sesame cardamom milk tea) which is seasonal. It was an eye watering $7 for a small which is very overpriced imo. The actual drink wasn't too sweet which I loved and the black sesame flavor was there. I liked that they put actual sesame seeds on top which added an interesting texture. The cardamom flavor wasn't there though which was disappointing. Service was a little slow but not annoyingly so. They were very friendly also.

Yelp
Best coffee in San Diego?! Look if you're a coffee enthusiast, you have to come here. It's not for the Carmel macchiato, double shot, soy, 180 degrees Starbucks lovers. It's for someone who just wants a great coffee. They do it right! The location isn't on the main strip of 30th, but worth the 2 block walk, after finding a parking spot in north park. The menu is small but that's because every drink is made to order by some amazing baristas that really care about their craft. The seating can get tight but that's because for those that come in, they pop open their laptops and get to work. I had a cappuccino and just sat and enjoyed some scroll time

Tory O.

Yelp
Stopped by this small coffee shop on the way home. It has a very basic vibe to it (a few tables inside, some plants, not very flashy). I got an Iced black salted caramel latte, which was really good. The batista was very nice.

Yelp
I came here with my daughter and wasn't particularly impressed with the tea, service, or ambiance. We stood in line for a good 5 minutes (there was no one in front of us) while the staff members talked and laughed amongst themselves. They were not busy preparing drinks or anything. That was a sign that we should have just left and gone elsewhere. The iced matcha latte was really weak in flavor and I have definitely had much better elsewhere. It was very watered down. It was not worth $7.50...

Yelp
I recently moved into the area and have been looking for a new coffee shop. I was recommended Coffee & Tea Collective by a friend a few years ago and finally decided to stop by. I have not been disappointed since I started coming here. Every drink has been more than enjoyable. From pour overs, cold brews, to espresso I have yet to have a bad cup of coffee. The barista's are all kind and from what I've seen, take an interest in how your days going. The cafe is simple, clean, and a great place to read or work. I'm glad this place is walking distance, if not I would be spending a lot of money on gas.

Lorraine M.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our first visit to Coffee & Tea Collective. I was curious about their nitro flash brew and they were kind enough to give me a taste. The flavors were complex and full bodied -- I opted to try that one and enjoyed it! My partner ordered one of their teas - the SD herbal iced - and it was a perfect light blend for them as they were getting over a cold. They steeped the tea to order before icing it. This is a great spot to work from with open seating options. There also is metered parking available - make sure you pay the meter because we unfortunately got a ticket while we got our coffee & tea.

Angela M.

Yelp
Super cute cafe offering delicious coffee and tea drinks. They offer the traditional coffee drinks and drip coffee/americanos/lattes, but also hand pour coffee for those who enjoy one. The cafe is small but cozy and they welcome their guests bring their laptops to work in the cafe. I was also touched by the fact the cafe provided feminine care products in the bathroom for their female guests, a very heart warming and thoughtful touch that shows the owners care about their clients.

Yelp
Went here with my girlfriend and dog to have some morning coffee before getting the day started. We were happily greeted by the staff and we were tending to very promptly Pricing: Can be from $3.5 - $7.5 depending on what you are looking for. Large lattes were priced at $6, which I would say is pretty standard in this day and age. Alternative milks were an additional $1 and not always a standard addition that has a cost, but syrups were $0.75 Drinks: Iced vanilla latte with oat milk had a great vanilla taste, not too sweet or too underpowered with a quality espresso that added a rich, coffee taste to the latte. Service: Amazing! The staff saw that we brought our dog and asked us if it was ok to give her a pup cup, which we graciously agreed to. I know in some places, it's extra, or the customer has to ask for it, but this was the first time we experienced the staff asking us if they could give our dog a pup cup. That was a gamechanger for us and something that makes them stand out to us Overall: A great place, with great coffee, and a really nice place to relax and pass time. The staff was great and would recommend anyone to give this place a shot!

Elizet S.

Yelp
Took forever to get my coffee. Place seemed very minimal with no character. Coffee was good but Was not my cup of tea.

Aseel K.

Yelp
Coffee & Avocado Toast Morning? One of the tastiest avocado toast served at Coffee & Tea Collective. Order this tasty combination, the corn takes the avocado toast to the next level. Cappuccino with oat milk & the Elote Toast: Avocado, Cilantro crema, Elote browned butter, Tajin. PRICE: Cappuccino w/ Oat Milk $5, Elote Toast $8

Dan R.

Yelp
Friendly service with in-house roasted coffee beans. Yes, they can drop a very nice shot of espresso.

Vivian T.

Yelp
Stopped by Coffee & Tea collective on a stroll in North Park. It's a really nice and simple cafe with minimal tables both inside and out. Bits and pieces of art and florals gives the coffee shop a pop of color and the white walls provide nice lighting. The menu is simple but I decided to try a Salted Caramel Latte and my boyfriend had a espresso drink mixed with a spritzer. Both were very nice! The spritzer was a little too sweet even after adjusting the sweetness, so I would suggest an ever lower amount if you're not looking for that. My latte was creamy and silky which I really enjoyed. I would definitely bring some work here and hang out if I had the chance!

Nina Z.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop with great coffee to study or chill. I went on a weekend and it gets busier after ~10am but people don't often stay for too long. There's limited seating inside and no parking lot, but there's metered street parking right in front of the shop.

Yelp
UPDATE... (5 stars) New love!!! I've come to realize I love their regular drink menu over their seasonal drinks. HONEY LATTE (decaf) - I know, I know "death before decaf" as people would say but I am a lover of decaf. Chose this over the vanilla because I wanted to get a better handle and feel of their beans on my palate without having it too masked. After a few sips, definitely loving it. The (Decaf Mexico beans) notes of chocolate and nougat are lovely, couldn't find the raspberry note. My sips have been very rounded and silky and that's how I absolutely love my lattes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Had a good feel about this place recently and bought some beans for a friend in SF. Searching for beans as gifts and loving the flavors of their beans (non/decaf) has been suited for sharing. I'm disappoint myself for not discovering this place sooner. Actually, I did. I've always wanted to come here and have tried but they would be either closed when I could come by and during the hardcore-pandemic-times only accepted online orders when I inconveniently didn't my phone with me. Now, it's very accessible to me and I'm happy to spend my money here. 1) I love it's not packed 2) I love it's kind of like a hidden gem; not hidden in the sense of location but hidden as in overlooked. 3) I love the ambiance - small and cute. JABA APPROVED. Until the next sip....

Janell G.

Yelp
The banana matcha was so so good!!! I've been craving it ever since I tried it. The best matcha I've had in San Diego so far.

Diana V.

Yelp
I was craving some yummy coffee and decided to try this place out. I got a large black salted caramel latte and the hubby got their new strawberry chai tea latte. Both were delicious and flavorful. The girl that took our order was very sweet and even made some suggestions for next time. The inside was full so there was no seating available. They also have some pastries available to go along with their hot drinks.

Diamond R.

Yelp
Hi! I ordered a matcha latte and it was very watery and had no flavor to it. I ended up throwing it away sadly just based off flavor. I did add almond milk to it and it was still watery. Would probably try something next time if I come by.

Paola A.

Yelp
great place to study, staff is very friendly , coffee and food is great, will definitely be back

Karla V.

Yelp
This place was super cute and clean as well! First time here and the baristas were really friendly and the drinks were so good

Helen D.

Yelp
I came here looking for a work from home spot and did find some success! Didn't try the coffee, but I did have a matcha latte and it was delightful! It was light, creamy (from the oat milk ofc), and subtly sweet which I enjoyed! not amazing, but good! There were a few outlets around and under the bar on the coffee bar as well, which was great! They also have a few hooks to hang your bag, however, some are broken off, so not all seats will have a hook for you. 4/5 stars because it does get pretty loud, since they are actively roasting beans in the back and for someone who sat at the coffee bar, was right behind the espresso machine, so that may be on me.

Brittany A.

Yelp
Cute little shop! With a bathroom! That's always a plus. Decent amount of seating! There is outside seating too!! The guy who took my order was really kind! I didn't get his name but he has an afro!! If that helps! Lol I know cappuccinos aren't usually iced but he did it iced and it was really refreshing! I enjoyed it very much. Peaceful atmosphere, perfect place to go and just ready with some coffee. Will def return!

Isaac K.

Yelp
Came here to get some work down while I was in town. Overall great drinks. Got the cold brew, and some random matcha drink they had. Friendly staff as well.

Cynthia H.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place and the people! The workers here are some of the nicest employees I've ever encountered at any business. The coffee comes out quick and delicious. Very minimalistic design but cute inside. My dog loves coming in for treats. I get the honey vanilla latte every time; it's my go to Morning spot. Definitely recommend

Serena T.

Yelp
Very cute coffee place! My friend and I decided to go here early on a Tuesday morning. I ordered the black salted caramel latte because the barista told me it was their most popular drink and I highly recommend! The sweetness was the right amount and the salted caramel flavor was subtle but still equally balanced. I also got it with oat milk (because I am lactose intolerant) so it ended up being almost $7 which is a little pricer than I would like to pay but considering the taste of it, it was worth a try. The cafe itself is really cute! The walls are primarily white with lots of large, vine plants hang from the walls. They also display artwork and photos from local artists! The wifi is okay--not the best but not too slow either. Seating however, is extremely limited. There are a total of four tables and each table holds two seats. I would imagine that this place is extremely busy on the weekends and you would be unable to find a seat. Personally, I don't think I would be returning here just because of how limited seating is and because the wifi isn't very fast. But if you're looking for a cute coffee place just to get your daily cup of coffee and don't mind splurging a bit, Coffee and Tea Collective is a great place!

Brian F.

Yelp
My favorite coffee around here, and maybe anywhere. They've always got some unique craft creations (Pear Cider Espresso Tonic is what I'm having today). The staff are super friendly and they'll talk you through tasting notes to help you get to the best brew for you. They also do collabs with local artists who will do murals on the walls and the coffee shop will release a coffee that also has their art on the bags! This place is everything I want in a vibey community coffee shop.

Kailin H.

Yelp
They pulled a delicious cup of cappuccino, and it came with cute foam art. While the espresso really hit the spot, the price tag did as well. I wish their price menu showed the size of the capp, as it came out to be a kiddy size 6 oz? 6 oz for ~$5.50? Feels steep for my caffeine fix. Was lucky to snag a spot on the busy street, but I can imagine coming here to be a bit of a pain to pay for parking and circling around the block.

Alyssa H.

Yelp
Very cute coffee shop with friendly baristas! Coffee & Tea Collective is very cute and perfect for intimate or larger parties. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Metered parking is right out front. There are also some unmetered spots on Utah Ave. The service is quick and everything is delicious.

Phil W.

Yelp
If i want to show somebody the great coffee that San Diego has to offer, this is one of our first stops. Fantastic staff, always playing great music, and the rotating drink selection is always great.

Steph L.

Yelp
Raleigh latte: really good, loved the flavor profile in this. Vanilla latte: this was okay, kind of tasted like a heavy syrupy drink compared to the Raleigh. Their large drinks were $7+ which I think is priced a little too high. I'd be back except for the price as many other shops are less for the same size. Street parking only.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop in North Park, have had their cold brew, iced americano and iced chai. The coffee was better than the chai.

Alex G.

Yelp
One of my favorite study spots! I've come here on several occasions to do some light studying and socializing. There is a nice amount of tables inside and outside. While it can get pretty busy, I've never had an issue finding a place to sit! The place is pretty lively but the atmosphere and decor is why I come back! I usually order a cold brew or a latte. While I can't say I've been blown away by the drinks, I've always thoroughly enjoyed them!

Tabitha D.

Yelp
The Atmosphere: it was open The Food: my chai was not my preference, it wasn't very flavorful The Service: the workers were very nice Cleanliness: everything seemed very clean Bathrooms: didn't look Parking: parked in front with metered parking Highlights: the atmosphere, and magically finding parking directly in front

Sabrina T.

Yelp
For all of you who are too obscure and hip for Starbucks, I had a 20 ounce tea that cost me and even $4.00 here. Okay so maybe it's of higher quality? Either way, it felt strangely odd paying that much for an unsweetened iced tea. Starbucks charges $3.50 +/- for the 30oz. Whatever, business is business. At least the tea was full flavored. I can't always say that about Starbucks. Starbucks baristas sprint around on panic mode like surgeons in an icu so they don't always have time to steep tea properly. Moreover, the cafe is pretty small. Studying here is doable due to how quiet it is but I can't imagine being comfortable on wood for hours. The baristas here were cordial and nothing lacked of the humanity of our transaction. When I visited there was only one girl working up front. I think there was one guy in the back but it was so mellow that she could hang up front without breaking a sweat. As for the ambiance, there was nothing terribly unique to point out. All the walls are white and they're embellished with modest choices. The musical selection on queue was nice, they had real plants + local art on the walls. They also had a nice array of community flyers in the corner near the register. My only big gripe is that the food choices are a little lackluster. I'm guessing that they're still in the process of growing business or maybe there's too much local competition that it would be a bad move? Either way, I wanted a salad dagnamit. A lot of other cafes have salads--just sayin'. Anyway, my final word is that coffee & tea collective isn't bad but it doesn't put a flag in the ground. I recommend visiting if you're already in the area but I wouldn't attempt parking exclusively for coffee.

Yesenia A.

Yelp
This was not worth the hype! Cute place but the coffee was SO expensive! A dollar for almond milk?! And 1.50 for an add shot?? The service was super nice but the coffee wasn't worth the price. I got the raspberry vanilla latte with almond milk and it was good, but I wouldn't come back

Andie J.

Yelp
Such a great experience here! Loved the one layout when walking in. Plenty of seating options. Ones for working and barstools for catching up with friends. Street parking only but it was easy to find. Love that eco-friendly practices this shop has! Will absolutely come back.

Eileen R.

Yelp
For my Lengthy Review/Critique, Please see for other Location. Cheers! Great job guys. One of the Best, Quality Coffee in Town. ~~Will visit Soon.

Grace E.

Yelp
Best Matcha in North Park I've been trying matcha lattes from nearly every coffee shop in North Park in search for the best matcha latte and after months- Coffee & Tea Collective it where it's at!

Tyler H.

Yelp
this is a solid place in north park and they make a mean latte!! there's plenty of parking out front and it's not too hard to get a table

Madi B.

Yelp
I don't usually do Yelp reviews but had to put in a good word for my favorite coffee shop. Baristas are amazing and always so nice. Coffee is great too.
