First time trying The Coffee Project in Brooklyn. It is fantastic! Perfect place to work, there are plenty of outlets if you need to charge your laptop; also there is a good amount of seating, so even if it is busy you will probably find a spot. I arrived at 7:30am, there was only one other person, it is now 8:05am, and almost every table is taken. But still lots of counter/bar seats! I ordered a cappuccino with skim milk, probably the best Capp I've had in Brooklyn, and I've had a TON. Also, most (if not all?) of their pastries are vegan, and excellent. (in other words.... they don't taste vegan). Highly recommend!!

Classic third wave coffee spot. A bit overpriced, great variety of coffee and good food. Sweet location off the busy street. Got the Ethiopian pour over and the ginger haze. Good service as well.

The cortado was a solid choice. Definitely well made by the friendly staff/barista. The location has enough seating area but was definitely busy with people using the area for work and the like. Besides coffee plenty of pastries and small bites were offered as well as branded merchandise such as tote bags and cups.

I had my first experience at The Coffee Project in Brooklyn today, and it was absolutely fantastic! It's an ideal spot for work, equipped with ample outlets for charging laptops and plenty of seating options, ensuring you'll likely find a spot even during busy times. I arrived at 7:30am; only one other person was here. It's now 8:05am, and nearly every table is occupied, though there are still plenty of counter and bar seats available. I opted for a cappuccino with skim milk, possibly the best I've had in Brooklyn (and I've had quite a few!). Their pastries are mostly vegan and surprisingly delicious—definitely not what you'd expect from vegan treats. I highly recommend this place!

An interesting coffee shop, the biggest draw has to be that it is a quite chill place just a few steps from a busy thoroughfare. The food is good, but a bit on the pricey side. The coffee, and other drinks, are great, a pretty good selection with some inspired options. But some of those options are expensive.

True coffee professionals in NY are hard to come by simply because baristas can’t survive in this city. Britney and Luis were exceptionally well-informed about each coffee’s flavor profile and process. I had the Gesha Village which was brewed perfectly with no astringency. Excellent customer service tied it all together. Great job hiring exceptional staff to showcase exceptional coffee.

Excellent coffee, good food. very friendly staff....well, maybe not so much for Luis but otherwise everyone else is really great. My dogs are welcome and like everyone...well, Max is not THAT fond of Luis, but that's understandable.

We stopped by Coffee Project to kick off our day with a relaxing coffee, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The atmosphere is inviting, with soothing Spanish music and well-arranged tables. The pour-over bar adds a touch of artistry to the experience. The lattes were absolute perfection, beautifully crafted with lively foam designs that matched their amazing taste. It's clear that great care goes into every cup. Love this place--highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy coffee spot and the staff was super friendly.

I recently visited Coffee Project after winning a gift card in a bingo game. Two coffees cost me $17, which is typical for coffee shops in the area. The Earl Grey latte was a bit disappointing; I couldn't taste the Earl Grey flavor at all. Next time, I might ask the baristas to add extra syrup to enhance the taste. It was creamy and rich, but not what I expected. On the other hand, the Pandan latte was fantastic--earthy, rich, creamy, and delicious. It reminded me of a Matcha espresso and was their current specialty offering. The café was bustling; there were only two seats available, and most patrons were inside studying quietly. It's a great spot if you're seeking a quiet place to study, though I personally would visit only for that reason in the future. Service was quick, and the café had a charming vibe overall.

Stopped in here for some matcha and reading and this was the best matcha I've had in a very long time! It was creamy and just the right amount of strong. Amazing. Got a raspberry donut and it was delicious too. Service is quick and friendly and there's ample seating. They also offer lunch items like Impossible burger etc but I didn't give those a try but nice to have heavier options.

One of the best avocado toasts I've had. Nice vibe; good food; indoor & outdoor seating- Yes, you can bring your laptops. But taking a point away because it's always packed so I end up having to leave because I can't get a spot.

We were in town for several days to attend a family celebration. On the very first day we discovered this like gem. From lattes, pour overs and americanos, we were instantly hooked! We stopped in every morning to enjoy the urban vibe and people watch. More than once, we recommended it to other guests at our hotel, receiving thanks from them later.

Five stars across the board for this place! I don't live that far from here but sometimes I gladly take a long walk just to get their exclusive ginger elixir drink. Although I'm a die-hard cold brew drinker, I'll allow an espresso if it's in a (mezcal) martini, a lemonade, OR in this ginger elixir drink. Yum! I also recently tried a sip of their Black Sesame Latte and that was cool (even though I loathe hot coffee drinks). For food, I LOVE their almond butter toast (which you can have on a croissant) and their match loaf. Those are the only things I've tried but their food menu is enticing and I plan to try some other things on my next visit. Besides the food and the drinks, Coffee Project has also been fantastic in it's layout. It has many tables and some bar seating but I've never felt like I was sitting too close to other people. I frequently have done small meetings with coworkers there and that's how this place became one of my favorite coffee shops. I love going there and would happily recommend it to anyone in that area looking for good food, coffee, or space to knock out a couple of computer-centric tasks. PS. They have outdoor bar seating when the weather's nice. I know, you didn't think this place could get any better but it just did lol.

I've come here a couple times for to-go orders and to sit down and work. The drinks are well done and I love the latte art they do (see photo). The staff are so kind and courteous as well. My gripe is that the space is quite tiny - classic NY - and as such some of the tables are jammed together. People wedge themselves through gaps to get around and trip over laptop charging cables. Sometimes, all tables are taken and a game of musical chairs ensues when a table frees up. Due to the scaffolding outside and the direction the building faces, the interior does not receive much natural light. For that reason I never stay long. Even by NY prices, the beverages here cost a pretty penny. The latte I got last time took me past $10 after tax, and keep in mind it's not that big. They charge $1 for decaf (I'm highly caffeine sensitive, sadly) and $1 for dairy-free. If you tend to ask for those two modifications, going here will eat your wallet fast. As great as the service is, I will go probably go elsewhere in the future to maintain an amicable relationship with my bank account, and come here on the occasions that I want to splurge.

It's usually pretty packed in this little spot in Fort Greene, but the staff is always friendly and fast! Great vibes with a surprisingly diverse menu. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I can't speak on that, but the Mushroom Toast was incredible - like nothing I've had before! I tried some of my friend's Egg Skillet Breakfast Platter which was great too. The coffee selection (from what I've been told) is unique and executed well. Would recommend to anyone passing by who needs a quick pick me up, or is looking for a spot to meet a friend and have a light meal.

We may be biased based on proximity but this is our favorite coffee shop. Always fresh coffee, friendly staff and we love buying their fresh coffee beans to also make at home.

If you are looking for top-level third wave coffee look no further, this spot is taking things to a whole different level. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and while the place wasn't empty, there was plenty of space to be comfortable. We sat at the tasting bar and ordered a few pour overs which were brewed with care right in front of us. Experimental roasts, single origin beans, baristas who truly care about the cup of coffee they create. It really doesn't get much better than this. Shout out to Peace who waited on us and was a wealth of knowledge regarding the beans and brewing process. I even took a bag home to experiment with on my Chemex. Currently my favorite coffee experience in NYC. If you love coffee, you can't go wrong here.

Delicious coffee with an option for ceramic mugs you can use if you're getting coffee to stay. They also have a variety of pastries, and very nice indoor and outdoor space. They have a large water jug and cups inside which is always nice.

Almond croissant was not fresh. Asked for it warm and it came out at room temperature.

Coming to coffee project was a very random event. We were in the area and stopped in after checking Yelp for a "good cup of coffee". We thought "this place has great views. Tuh! Now, the lattes were good (not great). I felt like I was drinking more foam then actual coffee. The croissant was quite possibly the worst I've ever had. It was bland, not buttery and stale. The insides were not fluffy and soft like you'd imagine. $4.50 for cardboard. Lastly, $1.50 extra for oat milk is just ridiculous. Not even in a pickle would I ever spend my money here again. The most I've ever paid for non dairy milk is .50 cents.

This will easily be a neighborhood coffee spot that I will return to over and over again. The coffee selection is broad and their food options are good. They have spacious indoor and outdoor seating which can be a rarity in the city. I got their drip coffee which was perfect, their almond blueberry muffin was quite good too and vegan as well. I worked at this location for about 2.5 hours and it was a solid working spot. Will definitely be back many many times!

The food was really over priced, but we would have not minded at all if the gentleman with the long hair didn't treat us with a passive aggressive tone. He was bothered by our simple questions regarding coffee flavors. Best part is when he forgot a part of our order he was bother to bring it out to us.

I had a taste for iced coffee and had planned on going to Dunkin Donuts but the particular one I went to was a fail--I pulled up the Yelp app and came across the Coffee Project and I happened to be close by. The location is under scaffolding, so you could miss it if not careful but once you walk in, it's super cute inside. I was greeted immediately and I ordered a cold brew. As I was waiting, I noticed the seating area--a lot of people working on their laptops, pretending to do work. My cold brew was good--albeit, I tab expensive but not a shock and not a deal breaker. I'm glad I came here instead of DD. If I'm in a treat myself mode, I'll go to the Coffee Project.

This is the best coffee I've had in New York so far!! My iced latte was perfectly sweet, with a balance between espresso and milk that hit the spot. The cafe was super cute as well-- would be a perfect work environment. I'll be back before I leave the city!

I was in the area looking for a local coffee shop and saw this small, quaint but cute coffee shop on the other side of BAM. I like lattes and am down to try various flavors, especially when they make the flavored syrups in-house. There was a sign outside the coffee shop for three limited edition, winter flavors. One was a peppermint mocha, gingerbread latte, and a rose flavored espresso type drink. I usually like my coffee unsweetened, but occasionally crave a slightly sweet and flavored latte. I ordered a gingerbread latte with oat milk. If you're a ginger lover like I am, you will definitely love this drink! It has a strong gingery taste and is only slightly sweet. I would definitely get it again and would get it a little more often if the 12 oz latte wasn't $7.50. This place is definitely not cheap but if you feel like splurging on an occasional delicious latte, I would recommend it!

The food and drinks are very good. It's the staff that I enjoy above all else. I usually stop in a couple of times in the mornings before work. The staff are always so friendly, warm, and engaging. They are just super nice people who get my days off to a good start. I really appreciate them. Thank you!

In an attempt to go back to the roots of "coffee," this place makes you the most bitter drink you could imagine. The coffee is so burnt and bitter it almost made me question if the milk was sour. They almost tasted of vomit. I had a regular latte and my partner the cream soda. Personally the cream soda drink would be FANTASTIC if it had butterscotch simple syrup added in. My partner did not enjoy it though. I never write reviews because I feel mean so I will say what I did like! The staff was kind, the avocado toast while VERY overpriced for what it is was great, I loved the feta. Two coffees, toast, and a waffle for $50 (with 20% tip)- I don't think this was on par with that price.

The food is good. The drinks are good. However, it is pricey -- even for NY. I got a cold brew and a sandwich -- landed me around ~18 dollars. It also has that hipster vibe that I don't loooooove, but hey maybe you do?

For the price of the coffee I would expect better quality milks and alt milks. The options were of course behind the counter and not the highest quality. I'd pass and make coffee at home.

Everything is delicious but smaller than usual! For drinks, beware that the smallest size is much smaller than any other coffee shop I've ever visited. The coffee is great though and the hot chocolate is delicious as well. In terms of food, spinach croissant is flavorful and delicious. They allow guests to use the dining area and the tables are spread out to allow for social distancing.

I have been to a coffee project before but I think that was Manhattan. Got a coffee and bought some whole beans and ended up really disappointed. However, I ended up here because I was at the end my rope, trying to find good WiFi to get some work done at a coffee shop that also had outlets. Researched it but either the WiFi was awful or there weren't as many outlets as the reviews claimed. Anyway, figured I may as well give coffee project another shot. Glad I did. Don't know if it's because it's really hidden or not in a busy area, but there were only a couple people here so that even though it's small, there were plenty of seats. Lack of crowd also meant the WiFi cooperated and I could finally get stuff done. As for the coffee, maybe it was a different roast this time or something, but this was much better. Just got a simple drip with oat milk but the coffee was strong and tasty. Happy I gave them another shot.

Oh Hi, the bigger, Brooklyn sister to one of my favorite east village cafe spots. This isn't a place to get coffee quickly. They actually love the bean, and caress the bean, and give you a beautifully finished product which has been carefully thought out. The Brooklyn location is waaaay more spacious with tall ceilings, exposed brick walls, and seating for about 20 peeps. They also have a steampunk(s) here which I'd personally never seen until today. It's a cool siphon brewing device that makes a perfectly extracted cup of coffee meant to be enjoyed without fillers. And it is quite enjoyable. I spent a few minutes trying to slow down in here while I get all hyped up on this delicious caffeine. The food selection isn't so great or large unless you like croissants. Standard cafe food. Looks like they source from the local bakeries...I see a Robertas croissant (what? They make croissants??) and some Colson products. The seats are also a very modern design wood so I don't think it's entirely a lounge-y situation. Sitting tall & stiff drinking my perfectly siphoned, well steampunked? coffee here but I wouldn't be able to spend hours here like some of these laptop folks. I need cushions for my bum sometimes.

Love this place for their Avocado toast but the service was eh. The blond haired girl at the counter was off to the side talking to her friend meanwhile there was a line of 4 people waiting. In the event that I would ever be in a rush and see her there I would not want to obtain service from her because it doesn't seem like she does much & takes her sweet time, like we aren't in NYC and this is a city where we are always on the go. I felt bad for the guy working with her as he was doing all the work. Even if she is a manager you should still assist you staff. Really rubbed me the wrong way first thing in the mornings If not for this I would give them 5 stars

This is such a cool spot. Stopped by after moving to NYC and wanted to find a local place where I could grab some fresh beans and a cup of coffee and I may have found it. The vibe inside is clean and minimalist, they have this corny light (see pictures) which just makes me laugh. There was some outdoor seating as well. Also had a no laptop area that looked like they did pour overs. Staff wasn't really helpful and kind of standoffish but I assume because they were busy? Idk. Drinks/food: Menu was pretty simple and your standard cafe drinks with higher quality ingredients (beans). Food options were sweeter pastries or egg salad va avocado on some type of bread. The egg salad was good and the bread was perfectly cooked, airy and crispy. I snagged a bag of beans as well, a bit on the pricier side ($16 for a blend, $22-24 avg for single origins). I'll be back for some more beans.

Ambiance and food was amazing. I ordered the iced latte and an egg croissant with avocado. Presentation was excellent. Music was not too loud and the vibes were very comfortable and relaxing. Definitely a place to swing by if you're in the area!

This is a great cafe and worth going out of your way to check out. The coffee is top notch, the employees are as friendly as you will find anywhere, and the space has a nice vibe which you feel in your bones as soon as you step inside. Coffee Project has something for everyone at a fair price. I had the house espresso and a pastry and it paired perfectly, but they also have more unique coffees/drinks that would be sure to satisfy even the geekiest of coffee aficionados amongst us. You can really tell that the whole team puts a lot of effort into sharing their craft and I hope we get to see more of them around soon!

Lovely little coffee shop with super friendly employees. Coffee is delicious, plenty of seating if you'd like to stay for a bit. The shop itself is behind scaffolding so keep an eye out for it. I wouldn't travel long distances for this place but it's a great pick if you're in the neighborhood!

Yes! Five stars. Coffee shops pay attention! This is how it's done. First, I am greeted with a smile on my way up to the counter. Such warmth. And then he asked me what would I like to drink. And I realized this was an experience not a race. Unfortunately, my indecisive Libra moon kicked in and I couldn't decide. Barista to the rescue (and he definitely has earned that title). He asks me several pointed questions, gently, to help me along the way, and when he said 'how about a cortado,' I thought perfection! That was it! And the coffee. Full-bodied, smooth and earthy, but not too. The cortado was so creamy and smooth, especially with the almond milk. I savored it all the way home. And all I could think about during the entire trip home was how to justify another trip into downtown BK so I could have that experience that again.

I've come here a number of times over the quarantine period and have always been impressed with their selection of drinks, their pastries, and their sandwiches. I recently stopped in mid-way through my boards for an avocado toast. The server remembered me by name and whipped it up for me right away. He recommended I try it on a toasted croissant and I was not disappointed. The toasted croissant took me straight back to my wanderings in Paris where the croissant is an art form. Flaky, buttery, and overall delicious, this was contrasted by the smooth mix of avocado, fresh cherry tomatoes, chili flakes, and sweet and salty feta cheese. For only 11 dollars, this is definitely my favorite way to have an avocado toast. I don't drink coffee but T.H. does and I've brought him a number of different coffees from here (straight black, cold brew, lattes, expressos, etc.) and he vouches for their excellent brewing techniques and flavor. Five stars on the first review because I've been here probably 5+ times since quarantine and have loved every meal I've gotten. Avocado toast on the toasted croissant is a must. Cheers!

Best latte and sourdough croissant! This is a small cute coffee shop right around downtown and sells amazing coffees. Can't wait to try their desserts and other coffees they make.

Such a surprising spacious coffeeshop HIDDEN literally in the brick walls. The drink menu is extensive, covers all the basics with your espresso drinks and non-espresso drinks, but also they have a few fun options unique to their cafe. I didn't try them this time because they're iced drinks, but may be back for them! For food options, they have solid croissant sandwiches, quiches, as well as baked goods for your sweet cravings. Everything seems fresh, made daily. Lots of seating, plenty of outlets, they even have a space reserved for non-laptop users so people who just want to enjoy their drink can sit! I was one of those that camped out there for hours working and studying though. My only complaint? The spaces are slightly dirty, not well cleaned/maintained, and the service is inconsistent.

Hands down the best latte I've ever had. I was working around the corner for a month and would go there every day for a latte and snack. I am by no means a person who needs coffee every day to function but this place kept drawing me back with their delicious brews and fantastic service. Everyone who i encountered that worked there was more than polite and kind, they weren't just robots taking your order and getting on with their day. A nice human interaction. There croissant sandwiches are more than serviceable and their selection of baked goods is always fantastic. But again, the coffee. Get it, drink it, never look back. Flock to this place when we're allowed to safely go out again! Stay safe and well all!

Ordered what was supposed to be an herbed turkey & provolone cheese croissant. And what I got was a basic tasteless croissant. For an $8 croissant, this was definitely overpriced given the size and the fact that you don't get what you ordered. Not to mention the 15 mins wait.

A small and cute cafe! They offer a unique coffee experience by separating the ingredients in their coffee and espresso drinks into individual glasses. This allows you to visualize each step of the preparation process. We ordered Nitro Flight and Deconstructed Coffee. The deconstructed coffee was beautiful. I didn't realize that they would put a latte art on top. Definitely recommend! The interior is small in a cute way, which adds to the cozy feeling you get when enjoying hot coffee on on a cold day. The music also added to the effect. It was enjoyable and something everyone might like. I give the service and staff a 5/5 and the atmosphere a 4.5/5. The drink itself was pretty much how you would expect from a deconstructed coffee. Personally, I like espresso or coffee that varies in taste from one place to another. The espresso here tasted like that served at most other cafes, but still I will give it 5/5.

Cute, off the beaten path coffee shop! Great for working. It's clean, bright, and clutter-free with nice greenery. The staff were pleasant and they respectfully come by to notify customers individually that they are closing in 15 mins so you may prepare to leave compared to the typical establishment that thinks it's okay to have one or two staff members yell such words.

Vibe of the place felt really nice, could easily see it as a great place to do work in the future. Got a campfire latte which was the seasonal drink, but overall tasted like an ordinary latte with a marshmallow speared on with a toothpick, which felt fairly underwhelming. The almond croissant was great though.

Not sure if this place was always around...but I finally got to check out the Brooklyn location. I've had the deconstructed latte in the Manhattan location before so I went for a regular latte and their avocado croissant. It was early on a Sunday and I was still dazed from the evening before. The staff at the front was super nice and patient with me. After my order I sat down with a friend at the long community high-chair tables. There were also the regular short tables available as well. My croissant tasted so delicious with the avocado spread. The iced latte was also delicious and paired well, though i'm sure a regular drip coffee would have done just fine. Overall loved the vibe and space. Great place to meet for coffee or do work. Would recommend coming back!

Refreshing menu with creative coffee drinks. I had the Ginger Elixir (highly recommend) - tonic water, ginger beer, espresso mix - loved it and can't wait to visit and try other coffee drinks on their menu.

YASSSSSSSS love this place. There are a number of good coffee shops in the 0.5 mile radius of Coffee Project but I still think it stands out. My favorites are the nitro cold brew and regular cold brew. They have this natural chocolate-y taste which is distinctive and very delicious. Pair it with one of their croissant sandwiches -- I like the egg salad one a lot. YUMMM! The baristas are also the sweetest people. So definitely pay them a visit if you're in the area!

One of my favorite coffee shops in Manhattan has made its way to Ft. Greene. Superb coffee made by people who are passionate about their craft. Most recently tried their nariño brewed in their steampunk machine, and it was amazing. The space seems much larger than their EV space, with high ceilings, a long communal table and multiple smaller round tables. They have free wifi, and designated spots where you're allowed to use your laptop (and not). If you're looking for a quick grab&go coffee, probably would head elsewhere, but if you want a cup of joe to be enjoyed and appreciated, definitely worth a stop at Coffee Project.
