Yelp
Coin De Rue translated from French is street corner. Located in corner entry of a strip mall in Korean town, is this new pastry cafe.
Limited free parking in their lot. Upon entry, I was greeted by the two female staffers who had a face mask and gloves for health safety. The shop was clean, organized and had many selections from fancy cakes, chocolates, sweet and savory.
Most of the fancier desserts were in the display case. While the sweet and savory pastry were individually wrapped in plastic, as I have seen at other pastry shops, which I like to keep other people's germs off.
I had an intense workout earlier and was famished...probably not a good idea because
I ordered quite a bit. I was curious and was delighted visually. The ladies staffers were helpful nice and appreciated my visit for all the goodies I got they gifted me a cool travel cup.
Since my visit a few days ago, I've tried a few of the pastries and shared and given away others.
Everything I've tried were delish and yummy and did NOT give Me a bad sugar rush reaction as some other pastries have, due to artificial additives. The signature green onion pesto with melted cheese top bun was really good, but could have had more cheese, it was too much doughy bread..which is a cross between a Hawaiian + Parker roll in taste and texture.
This shop is across the parking with their competitor Paris Baguette, a shop I also like but didn't stop inside since I already purchased more than I wanted from Coin De Rue.
Evidently the shop has indoor seating upstairs but there were no signs letting Me know. I would have liked sitting to eat and maybe order a coffee drink. but was not informed. Probably due to the fact the two staffer ladies had limited English speaking ability. I ended up taking everything togo and did take a bite of the pumpkin cream filled bun while in my convertible. Because there were no outdoor patio seating.
If you're in the Korea town area of LA, hop down the street corner to Coin De Rue, this new pastry cafe is worth a visit!
