Best Las Vegas Hotel Lobby Bars for a Drink Right After Check-In | Eater Vegas

"No lobby bar lineup is complete without Collins, the resident cult favorite at Fontainebleau. Elegant gold accents highlight the deep blue furnishings, and a live piano accentuates a rock-solid drinks lineup. Cocktails range from the signature J.S. Collins, made with Woodinville bourbon, Mattei Cap Corse Blanc for minerality and bitterness, miso-honey, and fruit flavors, to homages of drinks past, like the 1930s Viva Villa with Codigo blanco tequila, lime, sugar, and salt. Collins can also accommodate beer and wine orders, along with extremely well-made requests for the standard favorites." - Jennifer Smith

Google
One of the best cocktail bars I’ve been too. Ordered the Continental Sour, the red wine foam is so good. Piano player was wonderful, and our waiters were wonderful as well.

Lobo M.

Google
A decent and “darker” bar with a nice atmosphere. Once you are inside, you feel a bit “hidden” which makes everything a bit more intimate. Great location for a few cocktails - just like that or before dinner.

Serena B.

Google
Ask for Alex he was phenomenal. Knows everything he’s been there from the start. My old-fashioned was fantastic and the right temperature. Everything in there looked comfy, cozy very friendly. The air conditioning was not too much but definitely help. Cool you down Everything was super clean and it was just enough away from all the machines that you didn’t hear it. It was very relaxing.

Located inside the Fontainebleau, Las Vegas’ second-largest casino and resort, Collins Bar offers a sleek and modern setting perfect for those seeking a refined drinking experience. The space is impeccably clean, well-furnished, and exudes a sense of luxury. It attracts a mix of young professionals and business travelers, creating a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The bar’s central location within the space allows guests to sit around and watch the bartenders craft their drinks, adding an interactive and engaging element to the experience. Whether you’re unwinding after a long day or meeting for a casual business chat, Collins delivers a premium vibe with top-tier service. A great choice for those who appreciate a stylish and polished bar scene.

Google
Stopped by for a quick drink and to listen to the live music. There was a piano player and it was not loud at all. A very mellow lounge with comfortable seats. TIP: If you order a special drink not on the cocktail menu, be prepared to pay an additional $4 uncharge. I had the Old Fashioned. There was nothing special about the drink. I wish the bartender would have rubbed the orange peel on the rim so it would have given my drink that hint of orange smell. Service was food, too. Nice spot, and I'd return again.

Google
Attractive Bar with various degrees of intimacy. Nightly rotating piano players with varying skills and styles. Efficient staff but they were a little moody while I was there. Next set of staffers were much happier and engaging.

Google
Good bar to go to in Fountainbleau. The drink was average, def didn’t reach my expectations for ‘top 50 bars in the us’

Google
As Las Vegas locals who live on the strip, customer service is of the utmost importance as there are many choices in where we frequent for entertainment. My husband and I went to Collins for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This place was recently voted top 20 bars by Esquire magazine and we see why! The GM, David, was so professional, kind and polite. Our server, Raini, was attentive and allowed us to enjoy ourselves without interjecting too much. The ambiance is sexy, upscale and definitely a vibe. I love the furniture and deep colors and textures throughout. Hubby and I will definitely go back!

Yelp
Always great service and drinks @Collins. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing with comfy seating and talented piano players. If your contemplating whether to go nor not- just go! You won't be sorry.

Yelp
Collins at the Fontainebleau is an absolute standout. The atmosphere is stylish and welcoming, with a classic elegance that feels both upscale and comfortable. The service was attentive and professional from start to finish, making the entire experience feel effortless and well-paced. We didnt eat there, but enjoyed a number of craft cocktails, and everything was beautifully presented, and tasted great Whether you're starting a night out, celebrating a special occasion, or just looking for a great cocktail experience on the Strip, Collins delivers. A must-visit at the Fontainebleau.

Yelp
In a town full of bars and places to wet your whistle, Collins at the Fontainebleu LV is a great experience for those looking for high-end but low-key spots for drinks curated by a master mixologist. We went on Friday night at 11pm and it was surprisingly quiet for a holiday week, but nevertheless we enjoyed the posh and classy environment. There was no pianist that night or maybe there was one earlier, but this place exudes luxury and and almost a time-travel kind of experience back to old-time elegance. The hostess greeted us warmly and our server was great. I had J.S. Collins--woodinville bourbon, blanc vermouth, lemon, miso honey, strawberries, tonic--and it was delicous and complex but everything came together smoothly in the sweet and fruity finish.

Yelp
In search of a place to enjoy a nightcap after the NYE fireworks, my friend and I wandered into Collins. We sat at the bar in the elegant atmosphere and initially ordered Espresso Martinis. My companion commented that they had more delicious froth than any other espresso martini she had ever tasted. Impressed, she inquired about a Negroni Fizz. She loves Negronis, but likes the addition of prosecco or soda water to add a little effervescence. Our masterful bartender, Nick, looked at her with a glimmer in his eye and crafted an exquisite, pink colored cocktail topped with fluffy egg white foam creating a velvety and silky first sip. She was astounded! She said it reminded her of a Sweet Tart. His special ingredient...Fever-tree grapefruit! I choose to order a Hotel Georgia for my second cocktail. Oh, my! Has a cocktail ever given you goosebumps? Well, that is exactly what happened! I was dazzled by the essence of orange blossom, a frothy egg white foam, and the sprinkling of nutmeg. My friend and I had hoped to visit Collins again the following evening, but sadly, we did not make it. However, we loved our experience and the incredible cocktails and will definitely visit Collins when we are in Las Vegas again.

Yelp
We decided to visit Collins as we had a hotel credit to use and it looked like an interesting bar. We went on a Friday afternoon so it was very quiet. Our server Corrine was attentive. One of my friends ordered a non alcoholic drink. When she ordered an alcoholic drink Corrine pointed out that drink she chose was same as she had previously chosen. My friend really appreciated this information upfront so she was able to try something else. I don't love cocktails so I was happy that they had many that looked very interesting that I wanted to try. list had The list of cocktails was a good size and there were several that I really wanted to try. We ordered the Bumblebee and Hit Squad, both of which were great. I took a sip of the Ruby Slippers and J.S. Collins and liked those. The Vegas Vice looked interesting but I did not try it (next time) We were given a generous portion of nuts and snacks to eat with our drinks. Drinks were usual Vegas strip prices (expensive) but for the quality of the drink I felt they were much more worth it than bars I've previously been too. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Only had time for a cocktail and catch up quickly with a friend who's visiting AND we were sooo glad we stopped it. Friday around 3pm, it's not crowded. Hostess was able to walk us to a table and waitress greeted us right away. We had 2 amazing cocktails from the menu and a view of the whole bar. It's so impressive. It's quaint and cozy but the specialty cocktails were all special to Collins. The waitress also brought over some snacks for us to enjoy - peanuts and small crackers. Love it and will be back again.
google avatar

Jaynar S.

Yelp
Our friends who frequently play at the Fontainebleau Casino recommended this cool piano bar and it did not disappoint. Since we stayed at the hotel, we wanted to check out some of these cool bars. We had their specialty cocktails, the Wibble and the Darling Dahlias. Friendly service and very relaxing environment to catch live music.

Yelp
Not living up to the hype but still decent Bumble bee - nice light honey drink Collins - too sweet and not quite liquor forward as I had hoped Service was seemingly short staffed, dismissive and forgetful, but with a friendly smile... I don't really like that Chill old school Ambience, it didn't feel grand as the ceiling was very low I read that it was one of the best bars in America however it greatly fell short of my expectations and many other bars in Vegas would easily top this place. Mediocre drinks, mediocre service and not the vegas atmosphere I was looking for.
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Nice little cocktail bar located within the Fontainebleau. This place has a super chic vibe but can sometimes be a tad bit on the slow side. The cocktails are well thought out, bartenders/servers are friendly and the pianist is a nice touch.
google avatar

Yelp
Locate piano bar inside the fountainebleu hotel. They have a full bar and an extensive wine list. This is one of the quieter bars with a live piano.Providing the entertainment. On this visit, the hostess was very nice and accommodating. However, she sat us in the back of the room instead of at the front.I missed the empty tables near the gentleman playing the piano. I would think that you would want your guests near the source of entertainment. But I guess that's just me. Our server was very nice and on point she was attentive and did not leave us wanting. This was probably a highlight of the evening. The original drink creations on the menu.were unique and not too are liking. After those, we ordered some more standard drinks a vodka tonic and a tom collins, and those were much better. Again? It seems to be the theme with the food and drink. At this hotel, overpriced and lacking in substance. It's a great place to spend some time with friends and talk. However be prepared to spend.

Yelp
Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 The bartender was on point, friendly, and made great recommendations. We went during the day so it was a chill vibe allowing us to enjoy our cocktails. It was a nice bar to decompress before moving on to lunch. Note: Cocktails only but solid for pre/post meal drinks.

Yelp
My husband and I really enjoyed this bar! Pros 1. Cozy and comfortable spot in a cavernous hotel 2. Vibe is laid back and higher end feel to it. My husband said it felt similar to a nice cruise ship bar and I agree with the hubs 3. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders 4. Bartenders had great recommendations based on what flavors we were in the mood for. 5. Yummy hand stuffed blue cheese olives Cons 1. Kind of far to go if you're not staying at the hotel. It was worth the uber ride, though.
google avatar

Yelp
I love the interior and ambiance. It's a classic upscale lounge in the Fontainebleau Hotel. They have a piano player that plays on the weekend in the evening. Service was excellent. They automatically bring you glasses of water and a bar snack with nuts and olives. Drinks arrived pretty fast. They were so good. I ordered a French Rose that was delicious. I'd love to go again and just relax with a drink here. It was lovely.

Yelp
Its our second time here at Collins. Came here for an after-dinner night cap. Elegance is everywhere in this bar. Lounge seating and a circular bar in the middle of the establishment. The servers were wearing a sultry baby teal body con dress that fit the art deco theme. Service is consistently on point. No food here but serve snacks. Collins is a great place for a before, after dinner, or a place to catch up with friends. At times it can busy , so you may have to sit at he bar if there is availabilty.

Yelp
How far one of the best lobby bars in Las Vegas. While they don't have food to order, they do have bar snacks. The staff is extremely friendly and make great conversation . The ambience is beautiful and very elegant. The only downside to this place is bathrooms are relatively really far away.

Yelp
Fantastic vibes and excellent bartenders! Alex who was my bartender at the bar was making fancy cocktails like a pro while having conversation with his guests and recommending drinks along the way. Loved having the piano player as well who was playing some very fun, upbeat tunes without it being too loud that you can't have a conversation at a normal speaking volume.
google avatar

Yelp
We were on the hunt for a bar in our hotel and I came across Collin's when browsing our options. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see a live piano performance but what we did see was a fight. We were enjoying our drinks and all of a sudden a guy runs behind the bar and the other shoves an employee. Hotel security was prompt on the scene and escorted the gentlemen out. The bartender was great and had some nice recommendations. She was super personable and helped us with the menu. Our drinks were gorgeous and we were given snacks as well. The bow tie chips were a nice touch. Loved the ambiance with all the couches in the bar as well.

Yelp
Collins is posh! What a classy, serene, gorgeous lounge at Fontainebleau! Staff are friendly, welcoming, and nice on top of being good looking. Love the smiles on the faces of lovely ladies. Had one of their Forgotten Cocktails called Viva Villa and husband had the Gold Digger. Both are highly recommended especially the GD. They also provided complimentary waters and snacks which is fantastic. The music, the decor, the furniture, the colors - the overall aesthetic and ambiance of this place is top notch. Stop by and enjoy the experience!
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
Great music and service. Overall vibe was very chill and calming in the middle of hustle and bustle of the hotel. We enjoyed late night drinks and listened to the piano man. Waitress was super nice and helpful with ordering from the menu.
google avatar

Will M.

Yelp
Great spot to meet up or grab an exquisite cocktail. The prices aren't as extreme as one would expect and the bartenders do a terrific job creating the cocktails. Certain times there is a piano player that adds a nice touch to the atmosphere.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by the Collins bar this past weekend on October 18th 2024. We came in for the When We Were Young festival and decided to go and have a drink before starting our mini vacay in Vegas. We stopped by the Collins bar and had a few cocktails . Let's just say Alex the bartender made some delicious cocktails. I had the Sunny peach which is a Mezcal cocktail . It was delicious . The cocktail had slight Smokey punch in the beginning but the notes of the mezcal became subdued into a delicate drink. Very well done . We came too early to hear any music but the ambiance in the bar was still intimate and gatsby like with the gold decor.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
Great lounge/bar area in the Fontainebleau! Super chill and relaxed, but elegant. I think I preferred the drinks at the Bleau Bar slightly more, but it's much louder there. The drinks were still fantastic (as were all drinks at the Fontainebleau), the service was fast and friendly, and the live piano music added to the ambiance. Bonus snacky bites when you order drinks (as it should be)! Can't wait for the next time!
google avatar

Astrida M.

Yelp
As we were exploring Fountainbleu, we approached the Collins piano bar. Let me tell you, this was one fine, elegant, and excellent piano bar that I have ever been to. The ambiance was classy thru out: the decor, the furniture, the drinks, the snacks, the live piano music, and the service! Nothing but the best! We loved it!
google avatar

Elle C.

Yelp
I'm glad I didn't settle for one of the other bars we'd passed, determined to locate Collins. Our bartender, April, was THE best... a wonderful ambassador for Fontainebleau! I love the whole upscale, warm-and-inviting atmosphere; the beautifully-presented, classic cocktails; and the unrushed, attentive service. We will definitely visit Collins whenever we're in Las Vegas!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Located in the Fontainbleu, this place is magnificent. The ambiance is cozy and intimate. The mixology is perfection and lots of beautiful decor all around. Great place to snag a cocktail or mocktail!
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
One of the classiest hotel lobby bars I've been to. Live piano, upscale and great cocktails. The dirty gin martini with. Blue cheese olives was made to perfection and the Toronto cocktail is a great option for whiskey fans. Prices reasonable too. Service great. Walked in and sat at bar.
google avatar

Emi B.

Yelp
Beautiful Lobby Bar upon arrival to Fontainebleau. Sometimes they have live music. Tried the Gold Digger cocktail, they put actual gold flake inside which made the drink so pretty! Would def come back to try more.
google avatar

Andrea R.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Collins in the Fontainebleau! My partner and I popped in (March 2024) for a drink before dinner at Ito (sidebar - one of the best meals I've eaten in my life, ranks right up there with é by Jose Andres). The vibe? Not just swanky, but swank for DAYS. It somehow manages to not feel pretentious - upscale, gorgeous, phenomenally balanced cocktails, incredible service. Collins feels like "old money," it doesn't have to try hard to live up to the expectation, it simply does. (I'm fully aware how pretentious that sentence sounds - and if Collins were a person, they would likely never utter those words.) We had the bumblebee and a few other cocktails, all were perfectly on point. Talk to the bartenders about what you like and they'll take care of you. The ambience is completed with live music and yet you can still easily hold a conversation with your party. We'll be back (soon, for an anniversary staycation in case anyone wants to send over a drink). ;)
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
I stopped in Collins a couple days ago and I have to say... I was thoroughly impressed. Although it was quiet, It had a nice ambiance and the piano player was nothing short of spectacular. He played classy renditions of everyone's favorite songs. From No Doubt, Blink 182, Prince, and Elton John. The service was great. Our server Harley was not only professional, but made us laugh the entire time. She did a great job explaining the cocktails and making selections for us. We told her what type of drinks we normally liked and let her surprise us. She was 4 for 4, and we liked every drink we tried. We got the Hit Squad, Agent Black, the BumbleBee, and the Hotel Nacional. All fantastic. Will come here again.
google avatar

Tony S.

Yelp
Love Collins! To call this place "classy" is like saying Taylor Swift has a few fans. Collins really is a step above. Elegantly furnished, airy ambiance, it has the feel of a social room built within palace walls that serve the socially relevant of Noble family members. The Steinway piano is also a very nice touch. I won't touch on the cocktails here because I need more than a one-drink reference, but the one Old Fashioned I did have came with the quintessential giant ice block. Can't wait to come back for more and review further. They have a limited tapas menu, but I MUST draw your attention to the shortrib plate. 3 scrumptious bites of shortribs on a bed of whipped potato.... We not only ordered seconds, but also 3rd and 4th servings. I can't remember the name of it, but they also have a tasty mushroom pastry, and I was honestly happy NOT to share it. We also ordered their version of a charcuterie plate, which was a small 3-plate tower of fruits, cheeses, and meats, but to be honest, was pretty lacking. They need to work on their pairing and abundance. The setting just didn't work. Yes, I get the European style of presentation (I lived in Paris and London for a decade), but it doesn't work here because it just looks pretentious, and we didn't even finish everything. The tuna tartare is decent, nothing worth mentioning. I had a great bartender (think his name was Alex), who was formerly of Resorts World. The servers need a bit of work. They were very sweet, but very slow. They really need to beef up the training here to merit a full 5-stars. I'll definitely be back. Very memorable first-impression, and very Insta-worthy.
google avatar

Candace M.

Yelp
Came here in October and was recommended the Gold Digger. I had 2. Couldn't wait to have my 3rd, so came back in December. Service both times we came was perfect. Loved the touch of Christmas decor in December. Elite cocktail menu and the live piano is the cherry on top... or in my case, the orange zest.

Yelp
If you're looking for an amazing piano bar in Las Vegas, Collins at the Fontainebleau Hotel is a must-visit. This intimate lobby bar offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cocktail.

Yelp
Love this vibe. Chill yet upscale. Very friendly staff. The drinks are next level. Try the gold digger you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Good place to hang out if you preffer lounge, a lots of lounge chairs & tables, like many bars at Fountainbleu Collins is more privet vs is the center bars, On Friday night they have live music. Like most of bars in Las vegas the bartenders are very friendly. I like the place and i will be visiting again

Yelp
Thank you Brittnay and the management team for making my birthday extra special!!! The service and personal attention was outstanding!!! And the pianist was 5 stars!!!
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
This place was by far our favorite for drinks at the Fountainblu. Not only were the drinks that the bartender Nick made delicious, but the service that Nick, Ryan, Raini and Sahil provided was top tier! All of them made sure we felt welcome and helped create a warm inviting atmosphere. This bar had the vibe that we enjoyed from the good drinks, great service, and soothing sounds of the piano. This will definitely be a place we will revisit.

Yelp
Brittany and the entire team are absolutely amazing!!! Thank you so much for everything..

Yelp
Since Fontainebleau opened a year ago I have made a serious attempt to go specifically to Collins *six* times. It was open exactly *one* of those times. For all the rest of the attempts it was closed for a private party or some other reason. For that one successful visit, it was certainly a five-star experience, with a beautiful space, soft piano music, friendly hosts, and exceptional bartenders. But for those five other attempts, I have to give it a zero. After being burned the first couple of times, I learned to specifically check online and found in each case it was listed as open. Every time, the hosts were apologetic and indicated they had not been aware of the closure until the sign was put up by Marketing. Good job, Marketing. Tip for Marketing: sell one of the other crappy, generally vacant, bars in the casino to the lanyard folks and leave Collins for people who care about a good bar and good cocktails. Suggestion: close the highly mediocre La Fontaine and turn it into a bar solely for conventioneers. Call it "The Lanyard Club" and offer Corona, tequila shots, a 50% sugar something-tini, and nothing else. They won't even notice. So my quandary, and perhaps yours, is should I bother trying to go to Collins anymore?
google avatar

Lam N.

Yelp
Went in with a couple friends for some drinks after dinner on a Thursday night. Got sat way in the back for some reason so couldn't see the piano guy but it's okay he only played for about 10 mins for the hour we were there anyways. Maybe it's more lively on a weekend night? Very classy and cool atmosphere, music in the background but able to have a conversation easily. Our server was fantastic always checking in but never overbearing. Price I would say is a little expensive for an off strip property. For 7 drinks it was a little under $200, $250 after tip. Didn't order any food but they did provide some free snacks if I remembered correctly I didn't eat though was too full from dinner. Will definitely be back again and maybe I'll ask to have better seats since the place was really empty anyways.

Yelp
The Collins bar is amazing. Classy, fun, and a little scandalous. Alexander and Sarah were our barkeeps -- Consummate professionals and mixed great drinks. It's a beautiful spot, we can't recommend enough. We will be back.

Yelp
Nick the bartender was great! He introduced us to merlöt. He had great hospitality and made great drinks.

Yelp
What a lovely bar! Really nice bites and great wine and cocktail selection. Very comfortable setting. Felt spoiled here. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We loved the vibe of this place! It's one of the first lounges you see as you come in from the parking garage of the Fontainebleau, and it pulled us in right away with the live piano and elegance! The staff was all very nice and accommodating to us as we were there, and the speed of service was pretty average. They brought out some complimentary snacks for us including crackers, seasoned nuts, and olives! We all liked our drinks as well. I got the summer sour- it was a little bitter for me but it's because I'm not a huge fan of aperol spritz and that's what it reminded me of. Very refreshing though! My friend got the Gold Digger (bourbon and citrus flavors with gold flakes!), and her mom got a mocktail that the bartender created for her. Prices were consistent with average Vegas strip prices. Overall, we liked this place and would stop in again! Would love to check out a few of this casino's other bars first though as the entire casino appeared very classy and elevated.
google avatar

Bridgette S.

Yelp
This is your spot in the FB if you want a classic bar to grab a drink before or after dinner. It's located pretty far from everything else in the casino which makes restroom breaks inconvenient but the drinks were tasty and the vibe was on par. It's kind of a small bar to have a piano in it, but it wasn't unbearably loud when the pianist was playing on and off. And he was good so no complaints there. My only real complaint is the tuna tartar was pretty overpriced. $24 for the smallest little tuna tacos. $6 each? No thanks. Small portions seem to be a recurring theme throughout the eateries at FB.
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
Fun afternoon cocktails. No music playing but Angelo was my bartender and kept us laughing and entertained the whole time! I ordered two different drinks. Both amazing! I definitely appreciate that everything is freshly made! Fantastic work.
google avatar

Scott A.

Yelp
Collins is an elegant piano bar just off the main lobby entrance to the Fontainebleau. It has an extensive menu of cocktails and wines by the glass or the bottle. There's also some small bites on offer. Try this and Bleau Bar to see which you prefer. Personally I like them both, it just depends what kind of mood you're in.

Brian T.

Yelp
Considering this semi-secluded establishment was just off the Lobby at Fontainebleau, I knew from a glance that I wanted this to be my final destination to cap off a day in the resort. I was right: it was elegant, comfortable, and beautiful. After walking thousands feet of footage in blues and whites, I felt I had reached the pinnacle of an ocean liner lounge. Our hostess Guadeloupe, fine beverages, snacks, and a greeting by GM Dave Bell sealed the experience for this virgin voyage. Oh, the lively piano sounds by Jason Corpuz all flowed into a seamless day cruise. I'll be back. #fontainebleaulasvegas #collins #bgt_Scripted.
