The 25 Best Restaurants In Barcelona 2024

"When you’ve had it with the dry ice and foam and want to see how real locals eat, go to Colmado Wilmot. This small tapas bar, deli, and grocery store in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi is busy and boisterous—you’re greeted by loud chatter and clinking glasses (they have an impressive wine list), and walls are full of shelves stacked with jars, bottles, and tins. This place does things the way they used to be done, which means great produce, friendly service, and not a squiggle of balsamic glaze or a decorative flower in sight. The menu is full of seafood, bought fresh from the market, like red Mediterranean prawns and plump baby scallops served mostly naked (lightly grilled with a pinch of garlic and salt). Catalunya is set between the mountains and the sea, and dishes reflect that, like the fricandó, a beef stew, with sea cucumber that has depth of flavor. " - isabelle kliger

19 Best Tapas Bars in Barcelona, From Natural-Wine Bars to Market Stalls | Condé Nast Traveler

"Why aren't there more restaurants like this? Ones that serve top-notch produce at an affordable price point in a totally unpretentious setting? Ones where most of the main dishes are available as half portions so you can try even more of them? It's a foolproof formula and one that Colmado Wilmot has mastered. Jars of gourmet preserves and cabinets full of wine line the walls in this lively, slightly cramped space full of hungry patrons. Since few international travelers venture off the tourist trail to this largely residential part of town, the crowd is mainly local. That means there's plenty of clinking, clanking, and loud, boisterous voices." - Isabelle Kliger

Had a really tasty meal here. Highly recommend! Quick service and friendly. We also sat outside to enjoy the sun. They forgot one thing from our order but deducted it quicky for us. Thanks!

Amazing food, probably the best tortilla we ever had (can’t remember a better one). The zamburiñas, the meatballs and the egg were also incredibly delicious, and the torrija for dessert… quite an experience to eat in Wilmot. Most of all, our server David was extremely helpful and super friendly, as well as Javier accommodating us with a double pushchair. We’ll definitely be back!

Outstanding local experience! Amazing team, and super tasty and fresh tapas!

Food quality and taste very poor! We had snails and pulpo with potato. Everything was super oily … no taste at all. Prices are very very high … a couple of pulpo slices 18 EUR!!! Can‘t recommend at all!

Small corner spot with a youthful vibe in a nice cosy neighbourhood :). Small sharing size dishes, albeit pretty small. Things worth mentioning: pretty noisy when full, fast and friendly service, delicious tortilla with a topping of xistorra!. Charcuterie board was rather disappointing, though.

I love this Spanish restaurant, all the food I ordered were tasty. The service was very kind, they gave good recommendations and interacted with clients. It would be perfect if the washroom could be improved a little bit. Plus many dishes can be ordered as half dish, it great for having meals there by yourself.

Great place for tapas, definitely recommend for dinner, everything we ordered surprised us.

Wow! Simply wow! Great service, great ambiance and 10 points for the food. Will definitely be back to try more! Must: albóndigas stroganoff, tortilla, gambas & croquetas!
