"For primary evidence, I’d send you to Masa in Bogata, helmed by Mariana Villegas, late of Cosme. Alas, since travel is tough in the era of COVID-19, I’d suggest dropping by Fama in Woodside." - Ryan Sutton

Google
I was there just once to buy Pandebonos and empanadas, so delicious. I definitely visit again.

I love the empanadas , they are fresh and yummy , the place is clean and cozy , my only complaint is the noise , the music is to loud and you can’t even hear if you are in the phone or chatting with someone. But the price and taste of empanadas was so good!

Empanadas have little to no meat inside, mostly potatoes. They were made better before, coffee is still good here. Would not recommend these empanadas.

Ran in on my way to LIRR to pick up the baked good of the gods, Almojabanas. Not only were they warm, fresh out of the oven at 10:30 am, but they were incredible. The perfect combination of crisp outside and soft, chewy inside. If you are constantly disappointed by pan de queso at Brazilian restaurants (like I am) come here. They've got both the Almojabana and Bunuelo down to a science. Perfect grab and go for the train ride. Trying my hardest not to eat a 3rd...

I just had the velvet cake for the first time… I’m convinced that this place only has a 4.1 star rating bc the people who love this place aren’t writing reviews One of the best cakes I’ve ever had. Soft and fluffy cake that was sweet but not overpowering The frosting was light with a hint of cream cheese flavor. All in all, phenomenal Will be going back to buy try more of their delicious goods

On a Sunday afternoon, we passed by to ask if they have the Ecuadorian bread with cheese that they usually prepare. The Colombian lady was so rude and had no manners whatsoever. She answered in a very rude manner and turned their back on us. They’ve acted like this many times but today she was beyond rude. Will not be going back !

Yelp
I love this Bakery. Authentic Columbian Delicacies. All their pastries are so good. I highly recommend trying this place if you're in the Woodside area

Yelp
This place is not closed. Not sure where the info coming from. Came here on Sunday morning for the breakfast. We got chicken soup, beef soup, empanada and cheese breads. All delicious :) The seating area is limited and tight but people sit there eat and leave once they r done. So it's nice.

Yelp
My favorite Latin bakery. if you like cheese and you like bread, they have a million different ways they can be baked together. I still don't know the difference between bunuelos, pan de queso, pandebono, and almojabanas - and I don't care to. They are all cheesy, chewy shapes of goodness. The bunuelos are worth a try: perfectly spherical, with a fluffy, uniform interior. In Colombia, they're traditionally eaten during Christmastime (so said someone who spontaneously made conversation with me inside the shop). But my favorite thing here is the pandebono. It has a lovely chewiness inside from the yuca flour, a beautiful dusty crust that's just the right density, and a sharper cheese flavor than the bunuelo. It comes in two forms, made from the same dough: a squatter round shape and a doughnut-shaped one. I'm partial to the squat shape (you can taste the crust better). As with all baked goods, they're best in the mornings, fresh and warm from the oven! They serve hot entrees as well, which tend to be what everyone at the cafe tables is eating. Recently, alfajores were added to the bakery selection. They seem identical to the Argentinan kind, and are messy, indulgent affairs of powdered sugar and dulce de leche. In warmer weather, there's a juice stand outside where you can get fresh juices for $4. This can't be said for other Latin bakeries in the area: everything I've tried here has been fresh (even if not particularly interesting. Case in point: their Mexican conchas, their plain breads...). Get the pandebono!

Yelp
My husband and I decided to check out this bakery. The service was good and friendly. We ordered a coffee and pandebonos. I gotta say the pandebonos were amazing!! I was a little worried with the reviews but I'm so happy we checked it out. Now I know when we're in the area I'll stock up on pandebonos.

Yelp
The place is good and has good food. However, i recently bought a Napoleon cake and when i got home i realized they had cut a side off the cake before boxing it. Unfortunately, i've had similar experiences in other Colombian restaurants where they are less than honest with customers. As a Colombian I am embarrassed. I will never go back to that place.

Yelp
This is a very unassuming small little bakery but it holds the full spectrum of Colombia delights. This little shop somehow offers up a variety of sweet and savory pastries, breads and cheesy rolls, $1 empanadas, bunuelos, desserts, smoothies, milkshakes and even has a small hot food bar for a hearty full Colombian meal! The hot food isn't very vegetarian friendly, so I haven't tried it but it does looks authentic and flavorful. The pastries are good, some are very flaky though and can be a bit messy. Despite my typical sweet tooth, I actually I really like the cheesy breads and rolls here. This spot is easy to miss as you pass by, but a great breakfast, snack or lunch option if you are headed to or from the train at 61st.

Yelp
I asked for a big order of beans to go and hey didn't want to sell it because it's not enough for the complements which I found it to be stupid because I am going there to buy food not to be told I can't buy it because they don't have enough

Andy P.

Yelp
Great bakery but the workers always forget to pack your coffee and other items you order..... This is all the time and it's annoying. I just got home excited for my coffee and it's missing :(((

Christian V.

Yelp
hands down the best Columbian Bakery ever! From their coffee to their pastries, nothing can be better from here. Often go every morning and they know who I am & my order. The ladies even talk to me in my broken Spanish.

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Cute spot. Had takeout. Rice, lentils, salad, fresh squeezed oj/carrot/beets juice and dessert all for $10.00.

Joey V.

Yelp
My favorite coffee in the neighborhood. They open early and the ladies are friendly. The food is good too. Neighborhood gem

Yelp
Came in here for a quick breakfast. Got an arepa con queso with huevos. Came out pretty fast. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was great and of course so was the coffee.

Yelp
For the most part this place is great but the 1 star rating is for the woman who works there and is a horrible example of what that bakery is. She is rude, disrespectful, and is costing the company business with her bad attitude. I've warned all my friends about going there because of that and theres nicer waitstaff at another colombian bakery minutes away.

Yelp
a really good place to stop by to drink a cup of coffee and a piece of bread very good service and very awesome empanadas and food and they're all really friendly to everyone who arrives at there door they welcome them with a warm smile and either ac or heater depending on the temperature so its very pleasant to stay and chat with freinds
