Google
First time here and it's pretty authentic here. The food was good, service was decent. Definitely would come back. I like spicy food so thankfully I had my own chilis I brought from home. Prices are good too!! Very well priced.

Sorry no photos, but have to give this place some love. Our party of (53) people came here for dinner after a funeral earlier in the day. Not only did they accommodated our large party from toddlers to grandparents, they served very delicious food. Our section ordered (6) Bun Cha Hanoi & it was 1 of the best, complete with all the fixings. The meats were grilled to perfection soaked in a tasty sauce. Even the rice noodle was boiled perfectly. I had the Pho Dac Biet, it was delicious. Other folks ordered their specialty - Com Tam (broken rice) plates. They looked tasty & large portions too. Very extensive menu. Best was the service - very prompt & friendly. Refilled our hot tea kettles constantly & brought fresh chilies upon request. Bravo to the owner & her family for the service & tasty foods.

Google
What can I say ! This authentic vietnamese cuisine is amazing !! So tasty !!I honestly can say that is place is best of the best. They just reopened after 1 year been closed due pandemia. Not all my favourite dishes came back yet. We ordered Luc lac - beef made so fresh and so delicious !! Amazingly fresh and very unique taste ! I dont know who is The chef , but this person got amazing skills! Bravo !!

Google
Our goto when we are in town. cơm tấm has smaller portion, specially the rice, not proportional to the meat ingredients for $13 average each, menu price not updated anywhere, typical... Time to seek out their competitors ☹️. Latest Menu attached, hope it helps

Google
Read about this spot in the LA times and it lived up to the hype! We tried the #47 combo plate Com Tam with tau hu ky and Vietnamese sausage. It was flavor packed. I specifically really enjoyed the bbq shrimp and the tau hu ky fish cake. Service was quick and friendly! Would love to go back and try more.

Google
This was our first time here for lunch. We all enjoyed our broken rice meal. Service was fast and efficient. Our order was wrong but they quickly fixed it and did not have any issues. Both servers were very friendly. Prices are fair. Will be back here to eat again.

Google
I've been coming here for more than 20 years. The food is consistently good. I recommend Combo #5. I have not tasted any better Com Tom in Westminster. Food is fresh and cooked the way it should be. Price is reasonable. Parking is great. The place has a family atmosphere.

Good place to enjoy Vietnamese dishes.

Yelp
The best com tam restaurant in OC in terms of consistency and flavorful BBQ meats and toppings. My favorite is the thit nuong and the egg cake, but everything is delicious here. I've been going here since they opened - many years ago! Absolutely love this place. Easy parking. Family owned restaurant. Please come and create your own experience.

Christine K.

Yelp
This establishment is a staple in the Vietnamese community and personally my favorite Com Tam restaurant that beats out others on Bolsa Ave in Westminster. This restaurant has been run by the same family for a few decades and their food has been consistently delicious throughout the years! Their service is very friendly and welcoming to non-Vietnamese speakers. My go to order is Combo #2 which comes with a side of soup broth, rice, bbq pork, shredded pork skin, grilled shrimp, fried shrimp paste wrapped in bean curd skin, steamed egg loaf, and pickled carrot & daikon. The portion size is HUGE and can feed me for two meals. Although this restaurant specializes in com tam, their other Vietnamese dishes are great if you're not in the mood for rice. Some of my go to orders are: -Egg rolls: they use rice paper wrappers instead of the traditional egg roll wrappers to make the egg rolls extra crunchy! -Korean bbq ribs: Their marinade is bomb and portion size is generous -Mi quang -pho -Bun rieu

Michelle H.

Yelp
Portions are huge! Big enough to share or eat all by yourself if you are feeling hungry. Broken rice 5/5 the sauce is perfect! The egg is cooked perfectly, it's not too hard or soggy. I wish the picked vegetables were in chunks instead of shreds but this is just a preference of mine. Overall everything was really yummy

Oscar B.

Yelp
A solid place for com tam. I had the com tam with grilled pork, steamed egg, shrimp cake, shrimp, and shredded pork skin and I think everything on this dish was great. Large portions too. I think this is one of the better places for com tam right now in OC.

Michelle N.

Yelp
So many options for com tam (broken rice) here! Since I've been eating that a lot, I wanted to try something new and got a different Vietnamese dish. I got the Pho Tai Nam Sach which happens to not be listed on the menu, but they were able to do it for me! The meat, broth, and noodles were really good together! I wish there were more veggies on the plate instead of majority bean sprouts and thai basil, but it was still good nonetheless. I'll have to try this place again when I'm craving com tam.

Ivy C.

Yelp
Food is fresh and portions are decent. This place is known for their com tam which are their rice dishes, however they also serve pho and banh hoi and other varieties. We ordered an appetizer of chagio which was their fried eggrolls, banh hoi thit nuong tau hau ky, and com tam bi cha suon. Everything tasted so good and exactly how traditional vietnamese restaurants would taste back then. Their fish sauce wasnt spicy either which was good and they kept the place clean. I would definitely come back.

Andrew N.

Yelp
This is a mom and pop restaurant that does not get enough attention. It's been around more than 20 years but away from the heart of Little Saigon. The interior is a bit old but it is very clean and the food is very good - especially for the price. The restaurant is never too full so a quiet place for a nice, affordable meal. They have the best tau hu my here and the suon nuong is delicious. The service is also very attentive because they don't have too many customers. I would come back for the com tam (broken rice dishes) and combos. Parking is also very easy here!

Lynne T.

Yelp
Got the com tam bi, cha, thit nuong with iced tea and it was really good! It comes with sweet fish sauce and soup on the side.

Wan K.

Yelp
They used to be on Bolsa across from Thanh My and I thought they closed down. But turns out they relocated. This is the best com tâm broken rice dish place in my opinion. Got combo 43 comes with tau hu ky fried shrimp paste, bbq pork, shredded pork, bbq shrimp and egg cake. Also comes with free soup. I really like their fish sauce. They give a lot and I was struggling to finish my meal. I could eat half and save for later. Came out to $20.16 with can of coke. Place was empty when I went. Plenty of parking and the owner speaks English.

Stacy T.

Yelp
Yall I ATEE this place up. . It's much better than other paces of com tam that I've tried. Parking lot has extra space, very roomy restaurant with a cozy Vietnamese vibe/ambiance. Service was decent and food came out reasonably timely. Bún thịt nướng 8/10 - CRISPY EGG ROLLS!!! I can literally do a whole ASMR with it and y'all would have the best eargasum. - noodles, pork, and veggies were also delish as they complement one another - the nuc mam could be a little better though, kinda bland Con tâm bỏ - beef was so flavorful it caressed my tongue and slid past my esophagus like water through a pipe - egg was done perfectly to my liking - rice was on the soggy side however and as stated before, the nuc mam wasn't the most flavorful OVERALL: Great place to eat when you wanna get some Viet Food for lunch!!!! Def give it a try

Em B.

Yelp
I enjoy the Vietnamse food here - mainly the rice dish with bbq meats. Servers were polite and patient. It was just our party upon arrival but after 5-10 minutes, the restraurant started to fill up. I came here before over the decade for graduation, dinner with friends etc. or just craving for Vietnamese Cơm Tấm/broken rice. It hits different. : ) Although they used to give out dessert at the end but I did not get that today. I did not even think to ask! This is tucked away from the busy Bolsa/LIttle Saigon area. If you enjoy Vietnamese dishes, drop by and try Cơm Tấm/broken rice. If you need something during your meal, just raise your hand and server will come. Otherwise, they give you the space and time to enjoy your meal. Once you're done eating, walk up to the front counter/kitchen area to pay your bill. Cash and Credit Card accepted. Parking: plenty outside. Restroom was clean. Walk-in welcome. No reservation needed but if you have a big party - probably good to call ahead just in case.

Yelp
We were in the area and wanted to find some comfort food. Based on Yelp reviews we decided on this spot. We almost drove away when we walked up to the side door and it was barricaded from the inside. It looked like the place was closed. When we drove away we saw the front door facing the Main Street! Lol. We were so happy to see the open sign! Just as other reviews mentioned it's in need of a facelift. Seems like an older establishment but we were on the hunt for comfort food so we were not deterred. We visited a little earlier in the day so there wasn't anyone else there aside from takeout orders. We started with some Thai ice tea and ordered just our entrees. Delicious sums up the meal. Initially I was hoping to see more chicken options as I don't eat pork or beef but it seems you can replace just about any dish with chicken. The menu is very extensive actually. Everything was fresh and flavorful! They served the food up fairly quickly too. My dish was enough for two meals! I love when that happens! Overall we really enjoyed our meals. Prices were okay - around $14 each plate. We walked out with happy full bellies and would definitely try it again.

Yelp
My family and I used to come here for years and this place used to be packed. Since Covid, the quality of the food and customer service had declined drastically. Today, I placed an order over the phone and the lady owner was short, almost rude on the phone - no thank you's or anything. She was so quick to hang up the phone without telling me the wait time or total. When I got to the restaurant, she didn't bother with any greetings. In fact, she just looked so unhappy and agitated to be there. Food quality had gone down so much - the bun rieu oc I ordered was blah. There was barely any tomatoes in the soup and the oc had a soft weird slimy texture like they had been sitting there for weeks. Needless to say, I had a few bites and threw the rest of the food away. Now being that we had been loyal to this place for so long, I would have given this place another try had the lady toned down on the attitude. There are so many good eats here in OC to be putting up with extremely unpleasant customer service.

VixCyn P.

Yelp
Honestly really good. My boyfriend loves com tam (it's his favorite food) and he says this is his new favorite spot for it. I thought the tau hu ky (fried shrimp cake?) is soooo good here!

Andrea T.

Yelp
Delicious food. Ordered egg rolls and a combo plate to go. The food was hot and fresh. Definitely will come back.

Lynda W.

Yelp
Small mom/pop restaurant. Drove by here after work and read the Good reviews. (Mom)she was hard at work, vacuuming the restaurant. It was quiet and only had 3 people but lots of TO go order. Service was quick and sweet bc she stop doing everything else and took care of me. Foods was delis and my rice dish even came with really good soup, something my mom would make when she was still alive so it brought some comfort to try the soup:) Place is a bit dated but clean. Needless to say, I devour and finished my dish and the soda xi mui was also really good:)

Jade C.

Yelp
Haven't been here in over 15 years and drove by a few times and wondered about it. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. What stood out was the friendly attentive service and cleanliness despite still looking the same from what I remember. Pho, com tam, and banh hoi was our spread and all were very delicious! It's nice that they still cook and present their food in a more traditional old school way vs some of the newer Viet places that are trying to play with culinary boundaries. It was really comforting eating there. We'll be back more often :).

Kit N.

Yelp
The food here really hits home. The potions are huge. They give you tons of options and you can add anything other protein you like. The host was quick and very nice. The tables were clean and space was ample. I was highly recommend if you want a great rice and meat dish. I had the pork chop, hu ky, and nem. Flavors were right on and fresh. The eggrolls were also super crunchy and meaty. I'm will be coming back with family and friends for sure.

Cat H.

Yelp
This is a solid com tam place but don't expect anything spectacular in terms of service or ambiance. I usually get their plates with sườn nướng and the egg loaf. Their fried stuff is very crispy if you're into that such as the fried tofu skin and egg rolls. I usually stop by if I'm in the area and can't make it to deep Bolsa areas. Parking is plenty and now there's a 7leaves in the plaza too!

Kelly J.

Yelp
Decent broken rice dishes here, I know it's authentic because Vietnamese people come eat here! It's not the cleanest place but it's owned by a family and it's been around for awhile. Consider this a hole in a wall place but you get your cravings satisfied from pho to broken rice dishes to bun rieu. I will come back since the service is so good here and food is always good.

Patrick Y.

Yelp
My team went there every few weeks. Food is good and the service is fine. The price is reasonable. Maybe we usually go close to 1pm, so we don't see many people. The interior is little old and dark but it's good place to have lunch.

Lindsey D.

Yelp
Came here for the first time on a Friday evening. This is a large restaurant and it was fairly empty so my party of 4 was seated immediately. I did noticed that as we were eating and leaving the restaurant filled up quickly. I got an order of egg rolls which comes with a side of veggies and fish sauce for dipping and a broken rice plate with a grill pork chop (suon nuong), grilled pork (thit nuong), and fried shrimp cake (tau hu ky). The egg rolls came out hot, chewy, and crispy. The broken rice plate came with a side of soup with veggies. This was plain (flavorless), not what I am used to, and it was lukewarm (not at the temperature soup should be). The broken rice plate was small (not good for sharing). The grilled pork was over cooked I would skip it. The pork chop and fried shrimp cake were delicious! The pork chop was cooked to perfection. It was the perfect thickness and a great cut of meat it had a good chunk of fat on it. The fried shrimp cake was hot, thick, crispy, and flakey. I would get these two items again.

Sandra D.

Yelp
SERVICE quick and friendly FOOD i'm in my thit nuong era and i loveddddd the grilled pork. 5/5 will likely be back! :)

Rainey C.

Yelp
Soooo good and such a home-y meal. Friend recommended this as it's her favorite com tam spot in the area and I am still thinking about it! The egg/quiche-like thing was my favorite, as it's mixed with vermicelli noodles and shrimp. Everything on the plate was so flavorful and loved that it came with soup. Definitely will come back soon.

Hang N.

Yelp
Food is always consistently good. Great for eating in or take out. Spacious restaurant and plenty of parking in a big lot. Service sitting down is better than take out. Sometimes it's a hit or miss with the lady on the phone. Most of the time, she is ok. Not too friendly, rather quick and blunt. Definitely room for improvement on customer service. But food is good.

Erin T.

Yelp
The first time I came here I thought everything was great. We came back recently and I don't know if it's because it's post covid or maybe an off day but I thought everything was just fine. Bun Rieu - this was probably our bad for coming to a place that specializes in Com Tam and ordering Bun Rieu. It definitely lacked flavor and they were stingey with the vegetables Com Tam with the pork sausage, grilled shrimp, egg cake, shredded pork and fried shrimp cake. The sausage was good, different from the other com places we go to. The shrimp was grilled incredibly well. The egg cake was pretty on par with other places. The shrimp cake was very different; there was less wrapping and very heavily seasoned. Still trying to figure out how I feel about it... Definitely a good value and the flavors are there. I don't know if it was good enough to replace my usual spot

Julie T.

Yelp
There's a fly and a hair floating in my soup :( Service: I ordered Togo and this is upsetting bc now I'm grossed out. I did call and let the lady who picked up the phone and she said she will let her staffs know to be more careful.

Sarina C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Westminster because the food is fantastic, portions are generous, and the place doesn't try to rip you off in inflation climate. It used to be extremely crowded pre-covid, and unfortunately the pandemic has caused this place to have less traffic. Since then, I think they have taken a few things off their menu, but it's pretty unnoticeable given there are still plenty of options. They are known for their broken rice comfort food, but I would never say no to a good vermicelli bowl. I got the shrimp, BBQ pork, and egg roll bún (vermicelli). I like that there's a good portion of lettuce at the bottom of the dish to balance the meal. Plus, the pork was nicely marinated and shrimp was grilled on a skewer. The eggrolls were great too, and I liked it really drenched with the fish sauce. My party also ordered eggrolls as appetizers, which was the same thing but came with lettuce to wrap (I think it tastes better drenched in the vermicelli dish even though they're pretty much the same food). I didn't finish my meal so I took home about 25% of the dish as leftovers. We came for Saturday dinner, and the restaurant was pretty deserted. However, the staff was very nice and attentive.

Khoi H.

Yelp
Found myself a new favorite Com Tam joint and it's far away from Little Saigon. Quy Cap serves up broken rice and the portions are huge. There's many options and you can add or remove the various toppings. I ordered the Com Tam with Shrimp, Bi Cha Tau Hu Ky, and Thit Nuong and it filled me to the brim. The food came out instantly and it also came with Nuoc Mam and soup. The food was great and the shrimp was grilled perfectly! I loved the marinade on the grilled pork as well. Total came out to be $14 for my dish, which is great considering the portion size.

Tammy H.

Yelp
Super affordable com tam (broken rice) plates, so I understand the portion size is understandable, but 3 stars because the flavor was unfortunately lacking. They offer dozens of combinations when it comes to com tam plates, so I selected the plate that consisted of my favorite items. #62 Rice with shrimp cake, bbq pork, and egg roll for $8.95 - which would be considered a steal where I'm from! The rice was fluffy and there were no issues with egg roll. I was disappointed with the grilled pork because there was almost as much fat as there was actual meat. The shrimp cake which is typically my favorite part of the meal was gray which was confusing because I've always seen it pink since that is the color of cooked shrimp. It did cause me to proceed with caution, but I did appreciate that it was well seasoned with black pepper and what tasted like cubed water chestnuts that provided some texture. I wouldn't come here again because I was not impressed with any of the main components of my dish, but give it a try if you're hungry and don't want to break the bank.

Rox N.

Yelp
Was looking for a place for Father's Day that could accommodate our large group of 22 that is Vietnamese. This place suites our needs and it's my parents choice location for a casual combo rice meal. The place can use a bit more cleanliness as I took 15 minutes to wipe down the tables and 2 high chairs--pretty nasty stuff. The service and food made up for the lack of cleanliness. I would opt to get orders to go if you're not a fan of a less than clean place. Overall, you can't go wrong with the classic broken rice combo plate...so many options to suit your pallet. The tofu skin wrapped shrimp paste can be better as they used too much "filler" to make it look bigger than it needs to be. It used to be much better years ago.

Nick P.

Yelp
Ordered togo from here yesterday. We ordered over the phone, quick and easy. We got an order of the bun rieu (seafood noodle soup) and com thit nuong (broken rice with grilled pork). Our order came out to be $22 total. Bun rieu was flavorful and pack with seafood flavor. Portion was decent and they gave a lot of tofu and crab meat. Com thit nuong was really good. Portion was small since its under $10 for an order. Overall meal was good. Just wish they gave a bit more more rice for the com thit nuong. Also, the lady who took our order over the phone was kind of snarky, but overall the food was good.

Kelly N.

Yelp
Broken rice is comfort food for me, so when I saw a bunch of other Viet people here during peak lunch hours, I knew this was going to be a good spot. The food is tasty, authentic, and affordable. The Com Tấm Chả Giò Thịt Nuớng is my favorite, but the other toppings are great as well. I'd recommend trying a variety of different toppings to see which ones you like best. The workers are also extremely nice and the food always comes out really quickly, which is a plus!

Lina P.

Yelp
Came here with some non Asian friends to introduce them to more viet food. I've never been here before but the reviews looked good and so did the pictures. We came on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was mostly empty. The restaurant is big but it was SUPER stuffy inside. It was as if they weren't running air conditioning and the heat got trapped inside the restaurant even though it wasn't even a hot day. The guy working the front was very friendly and took our orders. My friends all got variations of the Com Tam (broken rice) dishes. Everyone loved their food. For those who don't eat asian food alot, I recommended they get the Com Tam with the BBQ pork and egg roll. They loved it and cleaned their plates. I got the Com Tam with the BBQ Pork, Egg Cake, and Shrimp cake. It was so good. The fish sauce was good too, it was sweet which was how I like it. The rice was warm and fluffy as well. I definitely would come back here again if I'm craving com tam.

Tay K.

Yelp
I love Vietnamese broken rice!!! My bf introduced me to this place when we first started dating and I swear we eat it once a month. I'm a bit picky when it comes to the toppings, but I get the egg cake, crispy tofu thingy (don't know it's real name), shrimp, and egg rolls + the noodle thingy. This was our first time ordering from this location, they were very thorough with making sure that they had our order correct which is really great! I love love looooove how fresh and hot everything is when we pick up our food. Definitely recommend this locatioto anyone who wants broken rice

Kristine L.

Yelp
Idk if it's because I'm from SJ, but I'm surprised at all the great reviews. Their com tam isn't terrible but it's average at best. Nothing great. I tried the dish with grilled pork, eggrolls, shredded pork, and the shrimp cake. The shrimp cake stood out because it's quite different than the ones in Norcal. The wrapping on it was good but I don't feel like there was enough shrimp flavor, albiet there was a lot of meat so I'm not sure if they use a lot of filler in it or what. Their shredded poor was a bit bland and the grilled pork was a bit too sweet. Texture on both was fine. The eggroll was also ok, a bit hard but 3/5. I also tried one of their vermicilli bowls with same toppings and the majority of the bowl was raw lettuce. I wish there was more noodles in it. Prices are very reasonable. Service was good. No complaints there. Overall, average. Not a place I would want to come back to.

Angie P.

Yelp
Food did not feel fresh. It felt stale. I've had better. The tofu so flat and not juice bouncy like you would expect at other places.

Timothy L.

Yelp
I was very surprised at how good this place was. I craving com tam and this place was the closest place to where I was. I got the combo 2 which came with a ton of meats and shrimp. The rice was perfectly cooked and the meats were nicely grilled. The egg rolls were really good and the veggie plate that came in the side was fresh

Trang N.

Yelp
Checked this restaurant for the first time and totally love the food. We ordered different dishes (com tam, Pho, banh hoi, and banh mi) and they all delicious. Food came out quickly. Will come back.

Linh T.

Yelp
Food is delicious. We usually order to go broken rice here. This is my favorite place in local area. Especially dipping fish sauce is perfect.

Tri D.

Yelp
This restaurant is a classic and what got me into my favorite Vietnamese dish, cơm tấm thịt nướng chả giò is the OG dish that's gotten me to eat that most of the time when I eat other Vietnamese restaurant. The way their bbq pork taste though is very special to me due to slight burnt im a very delicious was. I always love the smoke that comes out when they cook the bbq pork or when they bring out cơm tắm sườn bò đại Hàn, thật always feels like such a treat! Would recommend!

Patty P.

Yelp
Quality has gone down since the last time I dined here. The shrimp was over cooked and unfortunately the tau hau ky wasn't as what i remembered it tasted. The fish sauce that's served with the dish tasted a little off as well. The only thing that tasted normal from what i remember was the complimentary soup it came with. I may or may not return if I'm in the area but there are some better places down bolsa.

Daw M.

Yelp
Great place to grab a quick bite! Super fast and friendly service. Their pho is good. Their broken rice plate is good. Cafe su da is more on the creamy and sweet side, but! You can ask for less sugar which is awesome. Prices are affordable. Free gelatin dessert. = no complaints here at all Will definitely be back and recommend.

Jeremy G.

Yelp
First time here and was on a lunch break from work travel. The restaurant was clean, and the service was quick to seat and to get what we ordered. The owner was very helpful and helped me choose the correct noodles to go with my BBQ Rib with shrimp and dumpling. She helped my co work with his Tofo order. All in all I would recommend this place for a good quick lunch.

Di T.

Yelp
For com tam, it's where u can find second to none in OC. From quality to quantity = pricing, u have several combinations according to ur taste but my preference goes to #44 that I never have had a chance in the past to find an equal for this place. Service is minimum since there's only one serveur for a whole restaurant nevertheless he's impeccable, polite n reliable. I gave him 4* for his skills.

Johnny C.

Yelp
Someone recommended this place to me and never tried it until a couple of other people talke to me about it. This place is so close to where I live. It looks like a older stand alone building that is in a shopping center that needs remodeling but the food is good and very well priced. I couldn't decide what to get so I got item #42 and #53. I really liked the pork chop. All the items that came with the plates were tasty but I'm a porkchop kind of guy. The meals come with soup too. While I was waiting for my food I noticed that a lot of people order the Galbi plate. I think I will have to try that next time.

David T.

Yelp
This review is for one item. It's an exceptional item. CƠM SƯỜN BÒ ĐẠI HÀN Their Korean Short Rib are the best in Orange County. I said it. I stand by it. They are tender, flavorful, there's a ton of them and they taste just perfect. I would go here just for this dish. Now if only someone can get them to start making their NEM NƯỚNG CUỐN we would finally have a proper Daht Thanh replacement. (Gosh I miss that place) I'll try something new from their menu every time I go, but there's one dish I will always get here.

vivian c.

Yelp
Cheap place to get your Vietnamese food cravings but the place needs a lot of TLC. Need more security around the area as it is a busy area of business

Joseph M.

Yelp
This place is good. Com tam is on point, ingredients always super fresh, and the BBQ pork is so good. The service is so friendly and excellent. Highly recommend for a legit Vietnamese place.
