"Former Workshop stall Free Reign is ready to go permanent in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood I’On as Community Table on Thursday, November 21. Owners Ryan and Kelleanne Jones will take what they learned from their time at 1503 King Street to open a new brunch and dinner restaurant at 148 Civitas Street in the first floor of the Inn. 'We’re so excited to open our doors to friends and family, both new and old, at Community Table in just a few weeks,' says Kelleanne. 'Our goal is to make everyone who walks into our restaurant feel welcome and provide each and every customer with a memorable dining experience.' The menu will include a lot of comfort food. Some dishes from the Workshop menu included Carolina shrimp served with crusty bread, hanger steak with chimichurri and fingerling potatoes, and heirloom tomatoes with burrata. Community Table will be open daily for brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m." - Erin Perkins

Google
Such a great spot, small menu with tasty options. Costly if you want to add a gf bun it would be additional $4 the smash burger was great and the grapefruit crush was amazing. Cat wit to go back. Super clean and beautiful decorated.

Google
The restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere, but the combination of loud music and a crowded space made it difficult to hear conversations. This really took away from the experience, especially since we were there for a business dinner. The salmon was just okay—nothing memorable. Also, we were surprised that pickles weren’t offered with the burgers, which felt like a basic miss for a place that otherwise puts effort into presentation.

Google
I was a guest here recently for a rehearsal dinner. The food was fantastic; especially the Citrus Hot Honey Salmon, Tomato Panzanella, and Beets & Berries. The service was somewhat slow as they only had two servers for 5-6 tables. The atmosphere was incredibly noisy too and it was very difficult to hear and the bridal party was unable to make any speeches. It was definitely need better acoustics in the space and a private area away from the bar would have been better. I would go here again but hopefully I could find a quieter spot.

Google
We had dinner last night and it was fantastic. The cocktails were great and our tuna dish was really good and fresh! We had the cobbler for dessert and it was also very good. This was our first visit and we can’t wait to eat here again. Excellent service and beautiful restaurant!

Google
An excellent lunch here! Food was delicious and unique, and the fries were awesome. I had the fatty Italian, which was juicy and savory. I’m not big on uncooked tomatoes but they worked on this sandwich. I really liked the atmosphere and decoration, and the service was great. I haven’t seen their dinner menu but I’m sure it’s just as good. Parking in the area is quite limited. No pictures bc it was a business lunch haha

Google
Very accommodating! Pet friendly. Very charming and amazing area. I highly recommend!

Google
Food was really good, I had the smash burger and the orzo salad. Everyone else's meal also looked delicious a.d all were happy and full! Unfortunately our meal was overshadowed by a waiter who was extremely rude. His coworkers also recognized this and more than made up for it. Hopefully, he was just having a bad day-! I would eat here again but surprised given the neighborhood they dont have a higher standard of service defined for their staff.

Google
Love this place! Great energy, wonderful people and the kitchen is incredible. The Mushroom Toast will leave you speechless, but wanting more wine! Great wine list and the entrees are thoughtfully crafted with best available ingredients. This is a must stop for me whenever I am in the area

Yelp
Fabulous from start to finish. Our new favorite in Mt Pleasant. Hard to find these days.

Yelp
Went durning the week expecting a light crowd. Not to be. Had a great server and an excellent Bartender. The food was very good and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Only knock is the Happy hour was odd hours and short. Otherwise a good choice at a local establishment

Yelp
Update: It was my first time coming to community table in several years and we came for lunch. What a treat, just as I remember, attentive, staff, beautiful space and delicious house made dishes. We sat here for hours because it was so inviting and relaxing. The dining room is spacious, and they really have beautiful beachy vibe decor. Parking is no issue, plenty of spaces on the street and up at the side of the restaurant. We did not need to make reservations. it's obviously too hot to sit outside, but they also have an indoor patio that you can use. They have tables big enough for 8 to 10 people or tables for 2. we had such a fun time and I will definitely return sooner rather than later.

Yelp
Are here last night and the food was really good but the appetizer wasn't enough to split for more than 2 people. Wish they would've given bigger bread pieces.

Gabriel M.

Yelp
Decent restaurant in l'On. Service is good and the ambiance is nice although can get a little loud inside. Probably more pleasant sitting on the porch. People seem to like the smash burger and it is very popular especially on Tuesdays when it is only $12. I ordered this and I must say was expecting much better from a place like this. The fries were very over cooked to the point of them being bitter, there were no vegetables on the burger at all, and the whole plate was tossed with a bucket of fried onions in a very un-elegant way. Maybe it is to some people's liking but I couldn't even finish half of my dinner (which never happens). Definitely will be ordering something different if I come back.

Yelp
I'm giving Community Table five stars for a variety of reasons....first, it was our third attempt at finding a restaurant that was OPEN! On a Saturday?! We wandered over to CT because the cool vibe of this place glowed out to the street and drew our attention. Second, we walked in and got sat immediately! We felt like it was meant to be. The ambience of CT is cozy, classy, beachy and comfortable. The servers were absolutely terrific and so friendly. OK so the POPOVER....lawdhavemercy! What an indulgence, and a twist on the classic bread offering. Those lasted about 30 seconds at our table. We also ordered the whipped ricotta appetizer for the table, and although the ricotta itself was a bit plain, it was nicely balanced by the sweet/hot grilled peppers that accompanied it. I enjoyed the cast iron shrimp starter as my entree - it was simple, flavorful and pretty to look at. The shrimp were sweet and perfectly cooked. My friends enjoyed the beet salad with chicken, the cobb salad and the cast iron fish (tuna) for their entrees and all got thumbs up. Finally....THE DRINKS! *sigh* My friend and I ordered the lemon ginger martini, and, well....then I ordered another. What a yummy, yummy drink. Another friend ordered the Hemingway....and then another! We feel so lucky to have happened upon CT!

Yelp
My first time dining here. It was delicious. I'm plant based and my son and dil are omnivores. There was a nice selection for everyone. The atmosphere is pleasant. It wasn't busy so I don't know how noisy it gets. It was the best meal that I've had out in quite a while.

Julia R.

Yelp
Had a great dinner at Community Table, but the entire time I was waiting for the popovers to come-they never did! That was such the great entrance to a delicious meal and something I imagine many look forward to! We started with the panzanella burrata that was absolutely delicious and fresh. I had mussels for my entree and my friend had the burger. Her burger looked really good! We didn't see anything on the dessert menu that tempted us but we very much enjoyed our wine. I look forward to returning again soon with hopes of popovers!

Brooke J.

Yelp
This was the best Sunday brunch buffet we've ever had!!! Our server, Covey, is an awesome member of your staff. Covey was friendly, informative, and genuine! Give that guy a raise!!! We will be back. Beautiful space and great vibes.

Dani P.

Yelp
Community Table came highly recommended to us and after dining at Southbound we knew we had to check out their other restaurant! We love the small community of Ion it's beautiful and we didn't have any difficulty finding street parking! We loved the atmosphere and we took a large group of family 10+ people! It seated us well, there's options for large or small groups! It was quiet enough for our group to still have conversation! The service was amazing, our waiter was so kind and worked well with my dietary restrictions of GF! Some of these items may be off the menu at this time as the menu does change! We took pictures of everyone's dishes and the table loved everything. We especially loved the Duck Confit and North Carolina Trout! The lettuce wraps were Ana amazing appetizer! The drinks were so delicious and had beautiful presentation! We would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting, date night or group dinner and we plan to come back!

Yelp
Mediocre, mediocre, mediocre.... Place looks nice, and the staff is nice but the only thing worth ordering is the smashburger

Yelp
On a perfect weather Saturday afternoon a friend and I headed to Mt P to check out Community Table for brunch. We sat at one of the outside tables. After ordering my first cocktail I recognized the cocktails looked familiar. The waitress let me know that Kiki and Rye was party of the Community Table restaurant family and had some of the same cocktails. Knowing I like the Nancy Paloma I switched to that for cocktail number two. :-) For food we decided to share the cheddar and ale fondue and the shrimp po'boy. When we ordered the fondue I was anticipating the red pot with the forks. Instead we got a warm bowl of cheese. HELLO who doesn't love a warm bowl of cheese? We both agreed the polenta fries was the best dipper. When the crispy shrimp po'boy came out they served it already split and on individual plates for each of us. I love love love when a restaurant does that. The sandwich was the perfect size with lots of delicious ingredients that made it messy in a good way to eat. I wish I would have asked for extra pickled green tomato remoulade to make it messier. :). The I'ON area of Mt P where this restaurant is located is so quant and peaceful. If you find yourself in the area and the weather is playing nice enjoy some food and drinks on their outdoor seating.

Yelp
Went to Community Table for brunch - the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, bright and cheerful with some rustic touches. Staff was kind, conversational, and accommodating. The Maria cocktail - a Bloody Mary inspired drink with tequila, was not my favorite. Tasted watered down and texture was off. Cobb salad was great, although dressing was not very flavorful, the portion was huge and ingredients were fresh. My friend said the CT burger was one of the best he's ever had. The butternut & burrata toast was flavorful but $16 for one piece of toast feels a little ridiculous given the massive burger & fries were only $16.

Yelp
Community Table is a hidden gem in the I'on neighborhood of Mt. Pleasant. It's a vibrant and cozy restaurant to gather with friends, enjoying the prettiest freshly squeezed cocktails on their patio paired perfectly with their creative comfort food. More than a restaurant, Community Table is a place where the sweetest memories are made. We love how their menu changes, always giving us new things to try. Their patio is also pup friendly! Check out their popular Nancy Paloma drink too.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant with wonderful food. Our waiter was very attentive and accommodating. Great place to have a birthday celebration a nd lunch with friends.

Jacob H.

Yelp
Need to provide an update! CT has brought back the popovers and Chicken Paillard! The new menu is awesome and the staff, as always, is fantastic. Glad to be back and will continue to support a local business that aims to please.

Ron N.

Yelp
Lettuce wraps a little watery. Great flavor. No crackers, ordered a side of bread. Arugula beet salad. Very fresh. Lotls of lemon and maybe some zest. I added chicken. Fantastic. Succulent moist and flavorful . Would love to come back and try a steak or other menu items

Presley C.

Yelp
I can't decide what I loved more, the food, the service or the atmosphere. It was absolutely beautiful inside, set-up for a cozy and welcoming environment. We went at happy hour (3-5), which does have a limited menu, but there was still a nice selection & variety offered. Everything we got was phenomenal, including the Smash Burger and Chicken Sandwich. To top it off, the service was exceptional, everyone was warm and inviting, and it felt like we were part of... well, a community!

Jay R.

Yelp
Valentine's Day is always a challenge for dinner. Our good friends fortunately booked this spot for an early 6 PM slot, and it was not crowded. We sat outside on the veranda but it was comfortable and the setting enchanting. The service was friendly and attentive, even as the evening got busier for them. My partner enjoyed the surf and turf, while I thought the bee Short Rib Pat au feu was outstanding, though a bit on the pricey side. No expense was spared for this date though and the Rioja Tempranillo was the perfect accompaniment for us. All shared the molten chocolate cake, but the center was not too molten actually. The other downer was the coffee after dinner was tepid, and it took a while to brew another pot. Nonetheless, the meal was overall quite enjoyable, and this place is worth considering for a special dinner when budget is not an overriding concern.

Yelp
Was so excited to come to this restaurant. Charming, unique interior and a menu that appeals to a wide range. We sat down around 745pm (they close at 9pm). The menu looked great but our wait person told us they were out of duck and steak. Not that big of a deal but when you remove 2 items out of 9 it's like my wife said, "Well that kinda makes my decision obvious." Oh well #1. My friend order the truffle gnocchi which sounded fantastic but when it arrived, there was not a truffle to be seen nor smelled ... but there were mushrooms. I mean, c'mon when it says "shaved burgundy truffles" you expect to see and smell some right? Oh well #2. The chicken paillard arrived and looked quite good but it was bland beyond belief. When I say bland, I mean bland as in void of all taste. Didn't even taste like chicken. Weird huh? My friend's wife ordered winter salad with chicken. Salad came sans chicken. So we asked and chicken appeared promptly ... only it didn't resemble chicken. We thought it would be grilled chicken. Instead it looked like chicken parts and bits. Some of it was so hard that it would break the crowns off my teeth. I'm sure some readers are like "is this dude just one of those patrons that likes to complain?" Well to put that question at bay, check out the "chicken" picture. I asked the wait person if the chicken is is supposed to look like that? She said, "oh that's the way we do it for the cob salad." I replied, "I had the cob salad and my chicken didn't look like that." Busted. Oh well#3. So, you're like things come in 3's, right? Well in our case it comes in 4's.... My friend ordered a Malbec that never came. Oh well#4. I'm guessing it was getting close to closing time and the staff weee wanting to wrap things up. Now I will say the smash burgers were great. So I'm not all that negative, right? CT fries were decent. The surprise was the Cole slaw in the fried oysters. Pretty darn good. So would I go back? I don't think so. Charming ambience with "oh well" food just isn't my thing.

Rachyl D.

Yelp
A big fan of the half price bottles of wine night, but I don't see it on their website so I'm not sure they're still doing it. The steak salad was delicious and the burger was great - would definitely come back for their burger nights!! Service was really friendly.

Haley S.

Yelp
You know, I had high hopes for this place, and they simply were not met. Firstly, sitting indoors was a mistake. The AC was on blast and everyone else at my table was distracted by how cold they felt (I brought a sweatshirt, so I was fine). The room was also so loud, making casual conversation a challenge. There was fantastic live music, but that only added to the noise challenge. This meal took a really long time. I'm usually all for a well paced service, one that isn't too fast and allows time for conversation and enjoyment, but this was a record slow breakfast. We were seated at 10:30 (with a reservation) and did not get food until after 11:30. Our waitress was great, and kept apologizing to us for the wait, and took our coffees off the bill to make up for it. I did like the food. My sister had steak and eggs, and the steak was superb. I was impressed that my French toast waffles actually tasted like French toast, but the price on the menu was really high and did not match my bill. Luckily, my bill was cheaper than the menu. If these had actually cost $14, I would have been annoyed. They seem to need to fix their menu, as my sisters dish included chopped bacon, which she had not been aware of and did not want. I think like many eating establishments right now, this place is struggling. The pandemic is really tough to operate in, and low staffing makes good service impossible. Their concepts are great and the location is beautiful. The staff are very nice. The drinks look awesome. I would go back here again at a later date and reconsider my rating. Hopefully they get everything sorted out! Rooting for them!

Michael H.

Yelp
Burger night waited an hour and a half for burgers you would think they could get their shit together.

Cynthia H.

Yelp
Delightful, Attentive, Thoughtful. The service equals the quality and flavors of their meals. It's hard to get better than this. We took my wheelchair bound Mom there for lunch to celebrate her 91st birthday. My heart was full with their attention to out experience, making us feel like family. It was such a heartwarming day that I had to place my review. Please go to Community Table. They are rich in love - and of course Flavor!

Tara P.

Yelp
Low lights- didn't bring out our appetizer (didn't charge us), even though the restaurant was at half capacity, we waited an hour for "bread", dinner came out immediately after bread, kids burgers had pink in them, food was fine, wrong dessert came out and had to be reordered. Highlights- service was friendly, ambience is cool, drinks were good. Will not return unfortunately.

Chelsea B.

Yelp
We got here right at 11 and we're the first to be seated. I ordered the Lobster Arancini appetizer and it was amazing! I wouldn't be able to come here without ordering that again. I ordered the Cobb and it was a Monstrous salad (hand hovering over salad for reference ). It was also absolutely delicious! We loved the atmosphere here. Service was okay. I think they were short staffed and looked to be struggling a bit. The place was busy around noon when we left. They even had to turn away some patrons. I loved the food and atmosphere so I would for sure visit again!

David Q.

Yelp
Amazing brunch. It was so good I forgot to take pics of the rest. The servers were so nice and attentive. Perfect spot for families.

Sana J.

Yelp
This is a really cute, homey spot to have lunch. The setting is right within a neighborhood and it's surrounded by trees. Our server was very quick to check in on us and was very kind. The food came out quickly, too!

Dee B.

Yelp
Service was ok - waitress a little distracted- had to ask for menus etc a few times. Food was good - muscles, octopus, chicken and rabbit. Rabbit gnocchi was disappointing, it was cold and the gnocchi's were too sweet. Restaurant was very cold. No music or atmosphere in the restaurant.

Madison K.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant was absolutely amazing. Not one complaint. Food was delicious and unique, service was fantastic, our server was Holden. He was so awesome, energetic , and just amazing! This restaurant is so cute inside with great outdoor seating and a beautiful indoor bar. Will definitely be heading back here!

Latasha B.

Yelp
Really enjoy this place and after each visit I'm adding it to the rotation. My favorite is the Margaritas which you can order by the pitcher! They are so good and perfectly balanced. Per usual I order lots of apps and then we shared some entrees to get a feel for the menu. The menu is not very large, but it changes periodically which is good to offer some variety. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit or it could have been each other's company. The crab risotto was very delicious and the mussels were good as well. Needed some extra bread for dipping but wonderful meal overall.

Yan Z.

Yelp
Beautiful little place with awesome food and good cocktails! Came for the brunch menu without realizing it's Friday! Blame it to the holiday~ Though the actual lunch menu still surprised us in a good way! The burger is perfectly cooked with meat juice sealed in. The onion ring and fries are both crispy. The pulled pork sandwich is very well balanced with purple cabbage, green apple and pickles.

Teresa F.

Yelp
Just love this neighborhood spot. Great service, lovely atmosphere and decor, great outdoor seating with heaters and fans and a roof, spot on local menu. Good value interesting wines by the glass, delicious cocktails, and fresh seasonal offerings. Plus you can't ever go wrong with their burgers.

Valerie H.

Yelp
Loved an early dinner here. Such a perfect fall ambiance and can't go wrong with the chocolate covered Oreos for dessert! Service was awesome awesome

Parker K.

Yelp
I wish I could leave no stars. Such a disappointment. We had been before for brunch and left thinking it was expensive for what we were given. It was my friend's birthday and she really has been wanting to try it. We had reservations for 2 pm and by 2:35 we had two of our four water glasses were empty and nothing else. Drinks did arrive just before a full 40 minute wait and food about 5 minutes later. My omelette was cold and They didn't offer to heat it. I took a box. My husband had a breakfast BLT. 2 beers and 2 classic bloody Mary's later we left hungry and about $100 poorer. Not fancy food and we are spoiled for so many good choices. Never again.

Morgan S.

Yelp
We came here with a group of 8 last month during our visit to Charleston. I'll preface with this group is a group of complete foodies. Our Charleston favorites that we frequent are High Cotton and Hall's. The only two people who liked their food were the women who got salads. First though, let me just say this place is SO cute. Great vibes, great staff. I mean EXCELLENT staff. Very attentive, all of them. Very friendly. Just great. Great drinks too. Even with the great staff, I can't give this place more than one star because the food was HORRIBLE. Okay let's continue to the food. My husband and I spent about $150 and I have never been more disappointed in a meal at a restaurant. I like to try lots of things so that's what we did. We started with the Lobster Arancini. Lobster what?? Where was the lobster? The fry on these risotto balls was spot on. But the flavor? Bland, boring, couldn't taste any lobster. All it tasted like was fried, plain risotto. $16 for 2 fried risotto balls. 3/4 couples got these and we all said the same thing. I liked the tomato compote on the top but there was literally about 1/2 teaspoon on each one. That was the only flavor in the appetizer and that's all they put on it. Next up- Roasted Cauliflower Picatta. Good flavor but so over cooked. Burnt. It said "roasted" so I thought maybe that's just how they did their "roast"... I roast cauliflower 3 times a week at home, my favorite vegetable. Ours was almost completely charred and it ruined it. Such potential, ended up being a waste. Couldn't eat it. I was picking off burnt parts to try to eat at least some of a vegetable during my meal. Mussels appetizer- probably the best of anything we got but still there was something odd about the sauce. It was very bitter. Chicken Paillard- I would have been disappointed with this if I paid $7.99 for it at a midnight diner. That's how unimpressive this was. Bland bland bland. Clam and Shrimp Casino- BLANDDDD. Seeing a trend here?? Like where, just where is the flavor in this food? The sauce tasted like water, could not have been one single dash of salt in this dish, it was like unsalted noodle water with seafood. The only flavor you could even somewhat taste was the peppers. This one was just disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. It was my husbands dish- I didn't have any more then the one bite. I truly cannot fathom how this place has 4.5 stars. Of all the dishes we tried, not one was even kind of impressive. What am I missing?? Was the chef out sick? I mean seriously? I should've known when it was the only restaurant on short notice that could sit an 8 top. Red flag. We should've just stayed in with the kids and ordered pizza. #BigRegrets

Gilda H.

Yelp
Visiting Charleston and stopped here for a nice dinner, we were not disappointed! First of all, the service was above and beyond, friendly staff, attentive, knowledgeable, and simply good vibes. Then we tried the food! Yummy! We had the complimentary popovers, the butters were awesome! Then ordered mussels, fried oysters, pork ossobuco, the servings were good to share so we tried each other's dishes. The textures on the ossobuco were also amazing- loved the combination of fried onions, the spinach, risotto and pork, just worked! Drinks were good too! A must visit :) also lovely location.

Gaby T.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING. Ambiance, food, drinks and service. Can't complain about anything. I would recommend the stracciatella toast app, beet whipped feta salad, North Carolina trout, octopus appetizer and the crack cake. All of their drinks are amazing too. Honestly, I would come back and other entrees would probably also be amazing. They accommodated so many requests and made my cousin's birthday so special. I would definitely come back!!!

Laura P.

Yelp
Really 3.5 stars. It's solid food but pricing is high for what you get. We are on the patio once and that was nice but the bar experience I am not sure what happened but the lady could not stop taking to others about her experience writing elsewhere and alluding to this being below her. We will go back and will update then. They do have happy hour specials at the bar.

Angel M.

Yelp
My husband and I always make reservations for date night here. We enjoy the Tuesday burger special. I always order a margarita which is so tasty (and I'm a margarita snob). The burgers and fries are very good! I also enjoy the popovers that they serve. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the noise level inside! Sometimes we get Sat in the side room which is much more quiet if there is only one other table of people. (Once we were sat there with a group of women gabbing loudly). They play music and it gets pretty noisy. Next time, we are going to try the heated patio. The staff is always very friendly. I would recommend but wish they would turn the music down!

Jill H.

Yelp
Tried this place for brunch this weekend and it was great. Drinks and food took a while to come out but it's a cute spot to hang out. The toast with date butter was amazing and the lemon cream that comes with the crème brûlée French toast was amazing.

Bill T.

Yelp
So .... We used to be BIG fans of the Community Table restaurant. The food and drinks were very good. The service was good as well. The last couple of times we've been there, something has been "off". The burgers aren't nearly as good as they used to be. The onion rings have changed and are not as good as the old ones. Service was extremely slow and the place was almost empty. Is the restaurant under new ownership or management?

Fernando F.

Yelp
Went here on a Monday around noon, there was only one other couple at the restaurant. The server was very chatty and she was trying to stay busy on a slow customer day. We ordered the BLT with fries and a 1/2 BLT with a French Fry Caesar Salad. I ordered a sweet tea and it was not fresh brewed, it came in a plastic bottle. Our meals arrived promptly. The BLT's were very good with an adequate amount of bacon. The fries were not my favorite, if you like well cooked fries that are limp, then you would probably enjoy these. Hard for me to rate this restaurant, server and sandwich, 5 stars, the sweet tea and fries 3 stars. I'll split the difference with 4 stars, but room for improvement.

Marri G.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant! Really nice decor and an almost homey feel (because the restaurant is legitimately inside a house). The wait staff was great (Devin our server was very quick and professional). The food was delicious! We had shisito peppers, chicken and dumplings, mussels, and the octopus. We also got a military discount which has not been prevalent in Charleston which was very nice. Would definitely recommend either just for drinks/apps or for a meal. The complimentary pop-overs and homemade jam/butter were a nice touch. My only criticism is the online menu was not the same as the menu in the restaurant.

Mahdi A.

Yelp
True southern hospitality! The Community Table is cozy, located in a hot corner with big patio and fancy interior in heart of Mount Pleasant. Staff are taking all Covid precautions, I cannot emphasize how nice our waitress was. We started off with Classic Margaritas & Negronis which were really authentic. The classic margarita was more toward sour side than sweet. Negroni was perfectly balanced though. Food items are more towards french tasting. Between the Burger & French Dip, I suggest go with the Burger. French Dip is cooked perfectly and it's not chewy, however it is really fatty with soft balanced baguette and tasty au jus. The burger taste fantastic, the side salad was big, the burger is topped with couple super crispy onion rings. However no side sweet potato fries is offered here. Bottom line, we were amazed of this place & definitely visit on our next visit to SC.

Karen H.

Yelp
Jordan was our server and she was outstanding! The food was awesome. We sat outside on the porch and it had great ambience. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
It was time for a much needed date night with my wife, and we wanted to try somewhere new, so we booked a reservation through Open Table for Saturday night. This location is off the beaten path in Mt P, which is nice. Quaint neighborhood type place. We were seated immediately and our server arrived with water and took our drink order. The sweet tea pouring was quite the show. For an appetizer, we ordered the blackened shrimp that came with crispy grits. My entrée was the scallops on risotto, and my wife ordered the trout. Dessert was a necessity, and we shared the crack pie, but then decided to also order the pot de crème to take home. Literally a pot of cream. Everything tasted amazing. These were the best scallops I've tasted in a long time, and the risotto was mixed with corn and butter beans, but not too much that it took away from the risotto taste. I could eat a bowl of that every day. Service was spectacular. I would definitely come here again.

Yelp
If you read nothing else ... Community Table is fabulous! Parking is tight in I'on and the restaurant is not yet on Resy so give yourself time to find a parking spot and plan to wait if you are a late diner. We arrived at 6:15 pm and got the last open table for 4. (The bar was hopping ... all seats were taken.) The wine and beer list is decent. They squeeze fresh citrus for their cocktails which sounded quite appealing to me but I couldn't pass on the Bloody Mary with its signature house mixer ... the best I've had in Charleston. Yup, I ate 2 popovers with honey butter and bacon jam, a large bowl of plump, juicy mussels, several perfectly prepared frites, a quarter of my hub's fabulous burger and 2 onion rings. I couldn't eat more than 3 bites of my Cobb (it was loaded and tremendous) so I'll add lettuce and have it the next day for dinner. Our friends had the beet salad (divine), fish special, steak and loved them, too. No room for dessert. Our server was Nick and he was terrific ... efficient and friendly. This restaurant is a winner all around! I can't wait to come back and post photos.

Yelp
We went to Community Table last night for dinner and drinks. Our waitress was nice. However, a mistake was made, and our friend's dinner order was never placed. When asked about it, the waitress apologized and put the order in. It took 45min to make a salad with grilled shrimp. We were DONE our dinners by the time our friend's food arrived at the table. It was very frustrating and frankly, inexcusable. At the very least, the dinner, or even a cocktail, should have been comped by the restaurant. That didn't not happen. It was a very disappointing experience. I will say, the martinis were made perfectly. So thank you to the bartender working Thursday night.
