I've been twice and been delighted both times. It's very unassuming, and I had been in the same location (not refurbished) when it was Rocket Tacos. But they put out a spectacular short menu of excellent choices from the kitchen, and the staff is welcoming in a very casual and friendly way. I went there once by plan and another as a backup, and each time had great meals. The portions can be large, so two dishes might serve three people, or to avoid getting bored of a meal, swapping with others was great, too. I love the chilaquiles (which come in two spiciness levels), but they are a lot, so I swapped a taco on a friend's plate with a good portion of mine.
Bonus: the chef can't eat gluten, so everything but the tortas (at last check) were gluten-free, a bonus for my spouse, who cannot eat gluten, either. It's not a focus of the menu, but they are absolutely serious about it due to the chef's situation. My wife ordered the belgian waffles, and I had a taste, and I might prefer them to the same thing made with wheat, as they were so delicious.
