Coneflower Creamery - Millwork Commons

Visiting from Columbus, Ohio and can easily say that Coneflower is one of the best ice cream shops I’ve ever been to in my life. Super unique flavors and the ice cream itself is great! Loved both the sweet corn and Blackstone Butterbrickle flavors. Shoutout to the super friendly staff as well! :)

I don’t even know where to start with how great this place is. It is in a beautiful building. The decor is very farmhouse and the staff greet you like loving family who haven’t seen you in a decade. The flavor choices were abundant and the ice cream and cookies were beyond delicious. One of the flavors I got was blueberry lemon cheesecake. I don’t have words to describe how flavorful it was. I hope this place expands to the point that they have locations in every major city. All the ice cream comes from local dairies. Brilliant concept. I just wish they had some of their cool shirts in XL. They were out at both locations.

Yumm! Delicious! Fresh flavors. I tried Christmas in July, toasted coconut,and iced lavender latte. All the flavors were delicious. You are able to sample some of the flavors. The flavors rotate.They have waffle cones and sugar cones. The farms they partner with are listed inside the shop. There are booths inside and tables outside to sit down and enjoy your icecream

Really fun and unique place to get ice cream. Very unique flavors if you want to be adventurous. But also standard flavors if you roll that way. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Have fun sampling lots of flavors. But be prepared for a line. And hopefully street construction done soon too!! Hint—you can ask for one scoop if you want.

I stopped by the Coneflower Creamery as a dessert after dinner without any expectations. I asked to try a few samples and fell in love with the Vegan Golden Milk. I got 1 scoop on a waffle cone and it was more than enough. Great service, even better ice cream, and creative flavors.

I've yet to find a flavor i didn't like and they have an excellent gluten free selection. Make sure you try their seasonal flavors. The creamy peppermint bark is my wintertime favorite. The team is fast, friendly, and helpful but they can get very busy so be prepared to wait. If you think of it, check out their menu online before you go but if you still can't make up your mind, they're happy to provide a sample. If you're lucky you can snag parking up front but if not, I'm usually able to park within a block.

The ice cream is some of the best I have ever had and the waffle cones are amazing! My bf got a root beer float and the root beer tasted not great maybe too much bite/bitterness to it? So we went back in line for him to get a waffle cone :) Staff was very nice and helpful. It is a little on the expensive side.

Great ice cream selection, great service, great vibe! They let you sample the ice cream so you know what you like! I tried the sweet corn, which wasn't bad but I couldn't eat a whole scoop. We got the vanilla & bricklel because they were out of the mint which is our favorite

As good as advertised. Saw them on Yelp's Top 100 Ice Cream places in the US (they were ranked number six) and had to try it when in Omaha. The whole vibe here feels professional and top tier. They use real spoons vs plastic for tastings. The staff is friendly and professional. The vibes are clean with a brick wall interior and modern but easy-going vibes. I tried a few before landing on a cherry crumble. The garden mint chip was flavorful and different, and the lemon bar was incredible if not a tad rich. The cherry crumble tasted like cherry pie in ice cream form, and the kids scoop was more than enough. I would definitely go back here next time in Omaha, and glad to have sought them out.

I've been waiting for the longest time to visit Coneflower Creamery, and I finally did in Oct 2025. Back in 2023, Coneflower was ranked #1 according to Yelp and I can see why it is. Wow. Coneflower is a farm to cone creamery, making ice cream, toppings, sauces, and waffle cones from scratch. Even their sprinkles are made from scratch! They have delicious unique flavors, I would highly recommend Blackstone Butterbrickle and Peach Palisades Crumble. If you're driving through or visiting Omaha, then going to Coneflower is a must!

"Farm to cone", what a concept! Can't decide which I love more, the business plan or the ice cream!!! I had the Basel white chocolate and the rhubarb crisp. I am a sucker for anything rhubarb but the Basel white chocolate blew me away!! So fresh and delicious. My new favorite!

Cute location. Bench or stool seating and staff wears vintage soda fountain hats. Seating outside as well - clean new bathrooms. The flavors include many vegan options and impressive use of rhubarb, basil, lemon etc

We've been going to the original location for years. It's a staple in our visits to Omaha. We were so excited to find out there was a second location and it's more convenient to the locations we stay in. A quick drive or an easy walk. We've been to this location twice. It's a larger location than the original. Easier to park at and find a place to sit and enjoy the ice cream. The owner was at our second visit and I enjoyed chatting with him about the location and ice cream. You truly cannot go wrong with any of the ice cream flavors here. They are all just so good! They will give you a sample or samples to make sure you get the "right" flavor for that trip. Our entire family LOVES this place. They have a flavor to suit everyone. Do not pass this (or the original location) up! Or do so the line isn't as long for us next time ;)

After dinner in Omaha, we were looking for a sweet treat and Coneflower Creamery seemed to be the best option for ice cream. When we reached the shop, we went right in to sample a couple of flavors that we thought were quite interesting - it was only 2 samples but as we were picked the flavors a line of 10 customers developed right behind us! I guess we were lucky and completely beat the rush! Or I guess you could say we were actually the start of the rush? Medium ($7.50) - This comes with three scoops. The ice cream base used is fantastic - deeply rich, thick, and luscious with quite low overrun. It's churned well with no discernible solid ice crystals whatsoever. It's a solid base to start with and the mix-ins added afterwards are thoughtfully conceived. The first flavor we got was Raspberry Oatmeal Cream Pie, which tastes basically like an oatmeal cookie, but ribboned with frozen raspberry jam. The raspberry bits are a bit icy (expected from frozen fruit), but it doesn't impact the ice cream at all, except adding a nice sweet and tangy taste to counter the oatmeal. Second, we got the Ooey Gooey Blue St. Louis - love this one! They make the gooey butter cake in house and this one is rich and dense with vanilla flavoring. It's chewy, slightly sticks to the teeth and most importantly doesn't harden into bricks like I've seen from other ice cream companies. The cake itself is solid and would do St. Louis proud (I actually had a box from Schnucks I had bought two days prior and can emphatically say the gooey butter cake Coneflower makes is solid, albeit with a bit more of a floury flavor). Each piece is small enough so you can get one or two with almost every spoonful, but not big enough to dominate the scoop. They also add a blueberry swirl to add some tangy fruity notes. Delicious! For our last choice, we got the Blackstone Butterbrickle which we found to be very sweet, almost cloyingly so, and studded with tons of toffee pieces that add to the sweetness. There's a hint of salt in the toffee and overall it feels like eating a Heath bar perhaps. Unfortunately, there's nothing to cut through the sweetness unlike the other flavors. This was my least favorite scoop, but it was still good. As a sample, we also tried the brown butter ice cream - super rich and almost salty and savory in flavor. I liked the small amount I had, but I'm not sure if I could handle an entire scoop! Coneflower Creamery has some excellent ice cream and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a sweet treat! Bathrooms - Larger bathrooms that might be shared with other businesses in the building?

Wonderful ice cream parlor in a new area just north of the stadium. Metered Street parking is available, however can be tight in the area. This location was not very crowded when we arrived, but we were amazed to see how quickly 15 to 20 people followed us in! Service was friendly and swift and moved that line right along ice cream and waffle cones were both excellent, cream on top of hot fudge sundae is homemade, making it not awesome, but I'm sure calorie free! Outdoor tables are available as well as indoor seating however space is somewhat limited. Having only opened in the last year+ the feeling is very modern and fresh in a revitalized older building. Pricing seemed a little steeper than we are used to, but will keep calorie count in check! Definitely a place to check out when you're in the area and looking for a quality ice cream.

Our local Lyft driver told us this is a must try spot for ice cream. Noted. The 3 scoops: peanut butter chocolate short bread, raspberry oatmeal cream pie and blackstone butterbrickle. $8.38. It's worth every penny. I get why this place is so popular and has a long line after us. I wonder if anyone has ever tried every one of the flavors on one visit. They are all quite tasty and super flavorful

Best ice cream in all of Omaha, dare I say on all of the US?! Try it, you will not be disappointed. Service is quick and they are super friendly. For my lactose intolerant peeps, I didn't have any tummy issues after eating g here so whatever they do is GOOD.

BEST ICE CREAM ANYWHERE!!!! When there is a continuous line out the door up to 10 minutes before closing On a chilly Saturday night in March there is no doubting that my opinion is spot on! Coneflower is the very best ice cream!! I was lucky to hit it on a night that they had peanut butter chocolate shortbread, one of my top 3 flavors over the 5 years I have been enjoying Coneflower. Downside this visit was no turmeric in the case for my husband. He settled on the Vegan Banana Chip instead Other flavors enjoyed by our party Minnie's lemon bar , cherry crumble, butter brickle and Vanilla Although the line was long & continuous it moves along efficiently. the staff are patient, helpful & pleasant. Overall there is a happy buzz of customers chatting, sharing suggestions etc. No one was crabby because everyone knows or has heard that the ice cream is worth the wait! Already dreaming about what I will order in May when I return

Best ice-cream in Omaha and probably the best one I have tried so far. They are creamy, tasty and you don't get tired of the sweetness. Order them with the waffle cone for it to be even better. Every flavor is completely different and worth trying.

It's good but it can be expensive. No complaints really. This is only a rare visit place for me.....I'm just a cheap person. Ice cream is good but not I personally just won't pay that much more often.

THE BEST ICECREAM!!! Got my three favorite flavors in the photo I took (blueberry basil, Thai tea, and honeycomb). Absolutely divine. Love their new location in Millwork. I always enjoy looking at their display on the left side of the door while I'm waiting in line. A joyful atmosphere. The workers are all kind and welcoming. I've been here multiple times and have only encountered one time where the person checking me out forgot to give me my pint that I ordered. After waiting for awhile I decided to remind them and they were rude about it. Other than that I've always had a great experience here. I am still giving a 5 star rating because I understand that we all have our off days and overall their customer service is great and their icecream is quality.

Wish I could have taken a picture before we ate/ devoured our yummy ice cream.... But that didn't happen! the flavors change but they have a signature selection. They also have dietary restrictive menus. Service was great. Just be patient, you can find yourself waiting in a line, sometimes a long one. But once you're in and locked on your favorite flavor, it's seconds to be served and satisfied! Great place and beautiful surroundings. Enjoy the inside seating or go across to the park and enjoy people watching. It's great either way because you have some of the best ice cream in your hands.

You don't need to read another amazing review about Coneflower, you just need to go!! The staff is always very friendly and the rotating flavors with fresh ingredients very disappoint. Coneflower will always be the #1 ice cream spot for me, and I will always take my friends and family to enjoy the experience!

We came here after having pizza for dinner next door. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, talking us through all their unique ice cream flavors and letting us sample what we wanted. We ended up getting the Butterbrickle ice cream and Zucchini ice cream. Both were some of the best ice cream we have had and will definitely be back.

If i could review coneflower every time i go in... i would, and i would give it 5 stars.. six if it were possible. Coneflower is top 10 in the US for good reason -- I really believe it is the best in the country! This farm to cone business beats out its low quality, crappy ingredient, fast food partners by a landslide. ICE CREAM : i love coneflower so much i have a running list of my favorites on a note in my phone.. i'm slightly addicted. Midnight blackberry has soared up to the top of the list, as it is quite honestly one of the most delicious flavors i have ever tried. I'm gonna be heartbroken when it leaves the menu... Midnight blackberry is a blend of rich chocolate ice cream with chunks of homemade brownie with every bite, and swirls of blackberry throughout to add a bit of tang and lighten up the chocolate (goodness.. i'm drooling.) It tastes better than it even sounds if that's possible! Tart cherry crumble is definitely a staple. Creamy and steady vanilla mixed with the crunch of the crumble and the zest of the cherry, what a brilliant mix. A few other favorites are cookies and cream, blackstone butterbrickle, raspberry oatmeal cookie, peach crumble, archetype coffee, classic vanilla bean, and chocolate chip cookie dough. SERVICE / VIBE : This was my first time being at the Millworks location, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well they captured the warm, soothing, old-school vintage vibe of the flagship in Blackstone. it was most definitely as warm and enjoyable as stepping into their other location, and the staff was even nicer! we really enjoyed the space and felt so taken care of by the staff. Coneflower is truly the Disneyland of ice cream.

Definitely one of my favorite ice cream places in Omaha. Coneflower is 100% deserving of the hype and worth the wait (the line has been out the door several times when i've been here). Their new shop at Millwork Commons is cute too- just wish it had a little more seating for how busy it gets. I am a sucker for their butterbrickle ice cream, it's some of my absolute favorite. For sure a must try!

Staying by the airport for the night for an EARLY flight the next morning, we searched for ice cream near us. How lucky are we that Coneflower Creamery was the closest option! D had 3 scoops of Cinnamon Cheesecake Crunch on a waffle cone. One bite and he declared it his new favorite flavor. I went with a cup with a scoop of Coffee Toffee and a scoop of Vanilla (I know, I know, but Vanilla is my bellwether for any new ice cream maker). Perfection. The chunks of toffee were perfectly sized and the Vanilla tasted like real vanilla beans! Yay! The staff worked quickly and efficiently. The line was way out of the door of this adorable little shop and they worked through it like ice cream melting in a hot day. . . fast! The weather was perfect for sitting on one of the benches by the skate park across the street to enjoy the fabulous atmosphere of this up and coming district.

This place is absolutely ah-ma-zing! I my first bite of the Tart Cherry Crumble, (I think that's what it was called) was a flavor explosion in my mouth. It's bright sweet and tart flavor paired with the slightly crunchy texture of the crumble was the perfect combination for ice cream. Absolutely the best ice cream that I've had in Omaha, NE.

Love love LOVE Coneflower Creamery at both locations! The ice cream servers are always sweet and knowledgeable, and they offer great suggestions if you're wanting to try something new! I like how the interior gives off a cozy feeling with plants breathing life throughout the space. If you find yourself in Millwork Commons, stop by and have a sweet treat - you won't regret it! No. 1 Ice Cream Spot in America for a reason!

Hands down the BEST ice cream in the country! I was happy that they opened another location and they continue to expand. This a farm to table place and quality is second to none... and to take it another notch their waffle cones are off the chain too!! Also, don't miss their holiday pies, the Brown Butter Pecan Pie is to die for!

This location is 1000% better than the Farnam location. Not only does it boast ample parking and a spacious layout, but it also maintains the same delicious taste. However, what truly sets it apart is the abundance of space--no more feeling cramped or overwhelmed by crowds. Here, you can enjoy your ice cream in peace without the hustle and bustle of a crowded store. There is room to eat inside (which the Farnam location doesn't have) or walk around the around outside. It's a refreshing change that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. Note to self: White chocolate macadamia nut cookie dough = would get again. Roasted pistachio = wouldn't be sad if I didn't get it again.

Such a perfect little ice cream shop! A 'farm to cone' local place. They have a unique variety of flavors, and the waffle cones are a must... we watched them being made while we waited. We tried the blackstone butterbrickle (vanilla & toffee) mint chocolate, and a Stars and Stripes cheesecake. All of them fabulous and special in their own way. A perfect ending after enjoying pizza at Dolomiti next door

I HIGHLY recommend the white chocolate macadamia cookie dough if you're lucky enough to enter this delightful ice cream shop during a week where it's in rotation. If it's just after dinner time, or warm weather days- give yourself 5-10 minutes to work through the line that always seems to be present it will be worth it!

As good as the original, what else is there to say? Perfect ice cream...no ice crystals, amazingly creamy, and awesome flavors. I definitely recommend the root beer float with scriptown brewery fresh root beer, the banana split with brulee bananas, or the tin roof sundae with roasted Spanish peanuts! This location has about 4x the seating of the original so it's great if you plan to sit down, and there's even more seating inside the millworks area if the shop is full. Also, a great park and outdoor common area across the street! Do yourself a favor and try the best ice cream in the US!

Love this new location in Millwork Commons! Seemed to be a little bit less chaotic than the Blackstone location. The staff was friendly and moved the line quickly. The Blackstone Butterbrickle is their best seller for a reason! Salty, sweet, with caramel mixed in, very good! I also tried the cinnamon cheesecake crunch, which hit the spot as well! Very cute ice cream shop with seating inside and outside to enjoy your treat. This will be a must stop when I'm in north downtown!

Really cute spot and the space is well used. For being a creamery, I expected the ice cream to be creamier... service was friendly. They have rotating flavors and their staple flavors. Everything you'd like to have in an icecream shop!

I had heard this was a must-visit spot in Omaha, and it did not disappoint! The ice cream here is fantastic with rich, flavorful options and some really unique combinations. The staff is incredibly friendly, adding to the overall great experience. I highly recommend stopping by, but be sure to come early to avoid long waits.

Cherry Tart Crumble Icecream was creamy tart and delicious. So many flavors to choose from so there is something for everyone. An Omaha must have!

This is rated the best ice cream in the nation because it is just that. I'm so glad there is this new 2nd location. Minnie's Lemon Bar, butter brickle, and any of the sorbets are our favorites.

Their butterscotch signature flavor was really flavorful and not overly sweet - perfect creaminess. Had a few other flavors too but wanted something new!

We were visiting Omaha and as we usually like to try a new ice cream place when we travel, this one was on the list. It's a cute little spot but nothing fancy. I love the idea of a more "healthy" version of ice cream. We tried the peanut butter and it tasted like real peanuts and was not too sweet. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for this shop as it was quite busy during the College World Series.

The taste of their ice cream is amazing! Absolutely love that. However, their consistency and quantity of what they give you is poor. The location is not very convenient so it's been since last summer that we got out that way and wanted to try some of their flavors before ordering and they were friendly and helpful with samples. The size of the scoops was very small. I noticed the folks sitting when we arrived had nice, good size scoops. And then our bill was outrageous. I know their ice cream is quality and price will reflect (although a Dundee ice cream place in town is less $) yet, wasn't expecting over $24 for 3 small cones (1 sugar cone + 2 waffle cones) with small scoops. The staff was all very friendly. The inside was beautifully decorated and would have stayed but didn't want to pay for parking so hurried up and got out of there. Wish street parking was free but understand that isn't Coneflower's fault. If I was wealthy, I'd be back and give them another shot to see if another employee would give a decent size scoop. Do think it's worth a stop when coming from out of town - maybe give a couple winks to the staff and hope they give you good scoops. UPDATE: Something happened between the time at the counter when checking out where no tip was selected to when we got our cc statement showing we tipped 20%. Now, I understand tipping especially for sitting down and being served & am not shy about tipping well however, this time didn't tip but somehow got billed for a tip? That's very poor business practice.

Wow! What a shop in a perfect location. Just north of the stadium in Millwork Commons, it's got a big beautiful outdoor dock you can enjoy your delicious cream confection on. (Remember this is the #1 ice cream shop in the world, er I mean, country.) The staff is super friendly, offering, I would gather, endless amount of samples of their divine creations. I tried both the cinnamon coffee, and the archetype coffee ice creams, and I went with the archetype coffee, int he tiny cups, and even though it's the smallest, its still two massive scoops. It was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed while strolling through the sidewalks and ended up in Millwork to finish up some work. This was definitely a nice little pick up for the afternoon slump. Can't wait to comeback.

Amazing ice cream I mean you don't need to say much more than that. I order their original location but there is more free parking over here. Not super busy the times I've gone and nice people working. Sample all the flavors and get a pint to go is my recommendation. Their vegan ice cream is better than anything in the freezer section. You could fool someone into thinking it had milk. Chocolate or PBJ are my favorites.

Another great location for Omaha's premier creamery! Inside brand new Millworks Common. Hopefully the pin is updated soon. Off curb parking. New construction and sparkling new ambience. Coneflower is hands down my favorite ice cream shoppe! This was the first time that I've been to the never Millwork Commons location and I loved it! The space is bigger so there is more seating and due to it's location, it's a little less busy than their Blackstone location. They had the cutest little metal spoons for tasting the flavors which I of coursed tried a few since there are always new flavors to try. The Vanilla Apricot Torte was phenomenal! Probably one of my top 5 favorite flavors! You really can't go wrong with any flavor though and even though I didn't get one this time, the homemade waffle cones are SO DELICIOUS! Can't say enough good things about this farm to cone ice cream shoppe!

You cannot get better ice cream in Omaha than Coneflower! This new location is beautiful and I love the option to sit outside. Tried the cinnamon cheesecake crunch and it was a perfect of spice and tang. They even added some fancy sprinkles to make my daughter happy! We will absolutely be back!

BEST. ICE CREAM. IN. AMERICA! Bold statement - yes, but true. Tried this location for the first time. Friendly, interactive staff. GREAT treats, and fast line. Do not be intimidated by the length of the line. It's worth it always.

Amazing in every way. Great decor and location, but the flavor is the star of the show. Every flavor our group had was loved by all--heck yeah, we sample everyone's choice!!! One of the best ice cream shops we have been to anywhere.

My daughter found this place on YouTube (she lives in FL) so we walked over to try it out. Although the surrounding area is under construction, the building it is housed in is well done. The service was slow at first due to only one server, but sped up once two other employees joined in. The ice cream was excellent. My university had a creamery and I enjoyed high quality, small batch ice cream in my first 20 years. Their flavor selection is unique and they offer many vegan options.

Best ice cream in town. Glad they have gluten free cones now. Be sure to stop in and get some. Super happy there is some seating inside and out here as well.
