A nice little hang-out spot but it’s really only as fun as you make it. Kind of jealous of the children here because they have more to do than the adults 👶🏽 Music is sick, location is awesome, but the food served here is pretty lackluster 🌭☹️👎🏽 The drinks are expensive enough they should just let you bring your own food 🍻💸 I reaaally miss when this place would get turned into a skating rink for the winter :( Bring that back… I’m pressed for date ideas ⛸️

I had a good experience here. Nice atmosphere and good staff. They have sand for the kids to play in and some games for adults as well like corn hole and a big jenga game. The food is good and the drinks are good as well. I would recommend coming for a nice place to come and relax at. Good vibes over here.

A cool seasonal beer garden in the riverfront! The bar and service areas were cargo containers. Definitely kid and dog friendly. Lots of space to hang out and some shady areas too. They have lawn games and a big grassy area to play frisbee. The draft beer selection was great and food options were good too! I recommend the waffle fries and chicken parmesan sandwich.

Best hangout open place in Delaware. Had a wonderful experience with the food, drinks. The ambience of this place is lively. Opened only in summer. It is a seasonal beer garden. The staff are very polite and friendly. It is very clean and it resembles a beach lookalike, as the place is covered with the sand.

This is such a cool place in the middle of Wilmington! Being from out of state and not knowing much about Delaware, I did not notice too many things to do. However, we stopped by here on a whim while walking around and were pleasantly surprised! They had lots of tables set up in the main area and had some extra tables and seating at the front as well. They have the food and bar around the perimeter with 4 cornhole playing areas in the middle. A live band was in one of the corners, but didn't play much during the time we were there. They also had a big screen with a basketball game on in the background. Security was pretty good about directing people and the people at the bar area were super friendly. They had lots of beer options, but we weren't big beer drinkers so opted for a moscow mule and mojito which came in cans. They were not bad. We also go the wings to eat. We came in the late afternoon on a Saturday and most of the tables were already occupied. When we were leaving, we noticed more people waiting in line to get in and occupy the seating front. I would recommend getting here in the afternoon before it gets too busy at night. They have string lights so I assume it gets pretty busy the later it gets.

If you've been here you know why this is five stars lol. Cornhole, connect 5, giant Jenga, beer, cheese curds pretzels... The list goes on. It's sprawling, overlooks the waterfront and has pretty much everything you want on a warm sunny day. Dogs seem to be welcome as well. 200/10.

Great place to hang out with friends and four-legged friends in the spring/summer/fall months. This place can get pretty busy on nice sunny weekends so make sure you arrive early especially if you have a larger group. There’s ton of fun outdoor games like corn hole, giant tic tax toe, chess etc. and music is pretty good. All in all a good place to chill and people watch. There’s a lot of umbrellas but as the sun moves around I’d suggest bringing some sunglasses so you don’t have to constantly move the umbrellas around. We love taking a walk along the river right after to grab ice cream further down the river walk. Plenty of parking around the area.

Great family friendly outdoor bar serving classic bar food. Two large sandboxes with kids playing, plenty of Cornhole boards, and a possible axe throwing area!? Great spot to hang out bring your dog, kid, friend, or just your thirst.

A really cool place. Pet friendly and family friendly! Live music is always awesome, they have axe throwing, corn hole, giant jenga, giant connect 4, and even host adult intramural sports leagues in the summer! The bar tenders are always so friendly and the service is great no matter how busy they are! They do have classic ball park food (think nuggets, fries, burgers) if you get hungry! The bathrooms are air conditioned and are usually fairly clean! Only negative is that it's definitely expensive, and sometimes there are just kids running around like crazy!

How cute is this place?! It's family friendly but also a great place to go for some adult fun. It's right near the river, and near lots of food and shopping if you wanted to get some of that in before/during/after your visit to Constitution Yards. I didn't feel super "safe" eating there as a gluten free person with their menu options (the only reason I have 4 stars and not 5), but it's super easy to go in the area and get something and even bring it in! The drinks are great - I will say that when the weather is nice, prepare for a long line. Doesn't deter me though!

Great atmosphere, nearby in Wilmington. I wish they could cater different food trucks, not just the bar food that they sell. Beer selection is nice, and the games are fun. Sometimes they have live music or have baseball games playing. Good service, would go again.

Great ambiance, great beer, great views. The sand is always clean which is a plus for the littles. Just wish they would switch up the food menu a bit, and add something less greasy. You can only eat so much fries and chicken tenders.

This is a really cool outdoor venue with a large screen to watch games and also has Cornhole and Axe Throwing. The bartender, John, was great and the place got pretty busy around 7ish. My only gripe is the price of drinks is insane. You'll pay over $19 for a Jack and Diet Coke (20% tip included). You're talking higher than airport bar prices! So I spent $80 on 4 drinks last night. I like the venue, but need to think twice about buying drinks here.

The atmosphere about this place is amazing! It is the one place I feel like I can go to relax after work. It's a shame that Constitution Yards is being torn down in the fall to make new apartments!

Love this idea for Wilmington- outdoor area with big picnic style tables and activities for kids and adults. They have a large chair great for photos. There are two large sand pits which the kids enjoyed. There is a bar and basic food like chicken fingers, pretzels, bratwurst, etc. The food is mediocre but it's more of a place to go hang out and have a few drinks. I like bringing the kids because they can run around and play while adults hang out. It is right by the river and you can see the river walk path from Constitution Yards. The perimeter is made out of shipping containers which is a fun way to recycle. It closes for the winter in November so it is more of a summertime place. Will be back when the weather is nicer!

Constitution Yards is how you'd hope Wilmington would be perceived and experienced, especially on a warm spring evening. It's spacious, safe, clean and has one of the best vibes you can find in the area. To top it off? They pour some absolutely amazing beers -- the "best of" microbrews. Your biggest problem will be choosing which one to splurge way too much money on for a pitcher or two to share with friends. They also serve food and have a text service to let you know when it's ready so you can get back to your friends while ensuring your order is fresh and hot! Great for large or small groups and since it's outside it is very Covid friendly. Also great for those who want to bring their kids OR those who want to leave them at home. They have a variety of games available and the space is broken up into several different areas to let you choose your crowd. Bathrooms were clean, even though they are in an outdoor trailer. They had the Phils playing on the tv while I was there - think an opportunity for improvement might be to add just a few more TVs to really kick this spot up a notch in the sports division. That's probably my only constructive feedback. Go.

As usual, Constitution Yards was busy, fun, clean and a great time! However, we came specifically to see the band last night, the 9 member Kickback Country, as the information put out by the band made them seem fantastic. The 3 member band that we saw was just ok: not even remotely the hype that they stated about themselves.Disappointing at best.

Really cool Beer Garden, right on the Wilmington Riverfront. They offer Beers on draft and cans, and other tasty alcoholic beverages. Tables for groups to sit outside some with umbrellas. Some of the attractions include; cornhole, a huge beach chair , axe throwing. Huge flat screen tv to catch the game. There is a sand pit for the kids. Great spot to hang in the Summer and Spring with your friends. I would definitely go back. If in the area go check it out.

I met some friends at Constitution Yards for a Saturday night hangout. I arrived around 7:30 and the scene was already crowded. The setting is certainly unique; sand, wooden planks, concrete, tables and chairs scattered throughout, Christmas lights, live music, and much more. There was a fair mix of people, from young children to adults, and a handful of obedient dogs having a good time. I ordered a few beers, a soft pretzel, and chicken fingers. The beer selection is extensive and the prices are more than reasonable. The pretzel was a little weird given the placement of salt (refer to picture), but it's a minor issue. The chicken fingers (fortunately) tasted like chicken, so no complaints there. Overall, the quality is on par with typical bar food. The one thing that bothered me was the wait to get food and drinks. When I ordered food, the guys behind the counter seemed confused with every order, whether it was an issue with the order number, the accuracy of the order itself, or some other reason. Hopefully they can streamline their processes to reduce the wait time. I had a great time and I plan to return in the near future!

My girlfriend and I met some friends here last week. It was my first time and I enjoyed myself & the Constitution Yards experience. This is a massive beer garden with axe throwing and multiple bars setup around the space. The beer selection is impressive and they offer multiple draft choices as well as bottles & cans. The night we went was a little slow but there was so much space that I'd imagine everyone could get a seat on a crowded night. They do serve food which looked good but we didn't have any that night.

A friend suggested this place on my first visit to Wilmington. A nice beer garden along the banks of the Delaware River. We arrived at about 5:30 in the afternoon and it was already crowded. We had to park a couple blocks away, but the weather was nice and cool, so we didn't mind. There was no cover charge, despite a band playing. The band was called The Jimmies, and they played music from the 80s (A Flock Of Seagulls, Billy Idol, Springsteen, Prince, etc.). Although I didn't eat, I noticed they had food for sale (burgers, hot dogs, chicken, etc.). An extensive craft beer selection both on tap and in cans was also offered. I had the Dale's Pale Ale from Oskar Blues brewery and the Hazy-O from Dogfish Head brewery. Both were pretty good. The place was pretty big with lots of tables. In the center were people playing corn hole. There was a sand area for kids to play (beach theme?). Once the sun went down, lights hanging from rope above us were turned on, creating a nice ambiance. For a city that doesn't have much (this came from people who live there, not me), this was a nice way to spend a Saturday night.

Let's be real here. Food could be described as "carnival food," should not be compared to "pub fare," and rates 3/5 at best. However, the entertainment potential at Constitution Yards is absolutely a 5/5 and honestly, if you choose to go to a beer garden expecting haute cuisine, then shame on you and what are you doing in Wilmington, Delaware anyway? This was not my first visit, only my first review. So strap in, folx, and here we go: THE GREAT: man, the freaking entertainment. They have free cornhole. Axe throwing (only place in northern, possibly all of, DE that offers this). River view from the garden. Sand lot with toys for the kids or adult kids. HELL, even skee ball, air hockey, a few other arcade games (bring quarters for these). A giant wooden lawn chair perfect for photo ops. Serious 5/5 in this department. THE GOOD: Beer/alcohol selection. It's varied, they have the seltzers, local dogfish, tallboys, taps and cans. Another noteworthy in this section is the trailer bathrooms, which don't sound enticing except this is a 100% open air venue except for those amenities, which I believe are even AC, so what is the alternative? Portapotties, and no thanks to those. For an open air venue the bathroom solution is commendable. THE KINDA UGLY: look, shame on you if you go to an open air beer garden for the food. But if you do, yeah you won't be totally happy. This most recent time I was part of a very large group so I got to take pictures of many options and sample several of those. Here's a summation. The salad: CBY should do itself a favor and stop calling these salads. It sets up a false expectation of health. There was nothing healthy about my "salad," more like several pumps of thousand island dressing and oversized wantons. The fries: waffle, a plus. Barely seasoned, a minus. The burgers: huge. The vegetarian burgers: also nicely sized. Sriracha onion rings: beautiful color, not too spicy, would recommend!

Absolutely loved this place, even on one of the hottest days of the year. Bad on me for going in the middle of a hot summer day but the place had a nice beer selection, tons to do for adults and kids, dog friendly, staff were nice, the menu is small but It was tasty. I will return when I'm back in the area. Great place!!!!

Great place to socially distance while grabbing a beer with friends! With plenty of outdoor seating, a phone-based ordering option for bar snacks, and a solid selection of beer and cider (including the tried-and-true local classic that is Dogfish Head), Constitution Yards has everything needed for a relaxed, fun night out in Wilmington. The crowd is pleasant, the music is bopping, and the entire atmosphere is casual and friendly. If only Constitution Yards was open all year round, it would be a 5-star hangout spot in my book.

I visited Constitution Yards over the summer with a friend and the experience was just okay. It was really packed, some people like a crowd with a lot going on but it was a little overwhelming for me. Though, it's nice to have an outdoor option for gathering during the pandemic. I'm not sure why but we weren't able to walk in from the riverfront, only from the street, which was a little inconvenient as we were coming from the river walk. I felt the drink options were just okay and same with the food. My food was underwhelming. Extremely simple, bar food. Seating was readily available - which was nice & surprising. It's just not for me, but if you're a young person who loves bars, you'll probably love it.

Great outdoor place right on the river. Due to the current pandemic they have changed some things since the last time we were there. One being no yard games ex.. Cornhole. The sand pit seating has changed as well. Still a nice place to go just understand that it's modified due to circumstances. Plenty of seating and great views. Definitely a place to check out if you are in Delaware.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this new feature at the Wilmington riverfront. I used to live in Wilmo and bemoaned the lack of cool hangouts. Came on a pretty Friday evening for the opening night of Dave Bromberg's Big Noise Festival. They had an area roped off for people who had paid for the concert but everyone else could just eat, drink and socialize among picnic tables. There were nice entertainment options...cornhole and other games, and sandlots for kids to play in. The kids were having a blast. People brought their dogs. It was so great seeing people interact rather than looking at their phones. It's right on the Christina River and is very attractive. Food is only OK. There's just one food venue and I would describe it as fair. Burgers, salads, a Vietnamese sausage thing, hummus, etc. More choices needed or food trucks. Full bar. The bathrooms are in those trailer things but adequate. The stage had pretty good sound. They had a roped off VIP area for people who paid more but there was no advantage to doing that as the regular paying people stood just as close. Unfortunately the show ended shortly after 10 as Wilmington has an early ending for outside shows. There are mostly restaurants, office buildings, and the Blue Rocks stadium here so I'm not sure why that is.

Constitution yard wasn't fully open but it's always amazing to see that open. It always has a unique environment and we love that if you to the big chair. Can't wait till it fully opens and they got bands and stuff playing so that'll be cool.

It's a borderline 5-star spot, so I'll give you the skinny. Excellent location just off the downtown area. VERY spacious and COVID-safe and friendly, with plenty of tables spaced far apart. Beer selection was great, and the food was standard bar fare. I asked if they could break out the cornhole boards and they were more than happy to! In fact, they set up cornhole for other people. HUGE TV in the background with a game on. The best part was the axe-throwing area, on-site! They weren't busy on a Saturday, and the prices were decent enough ($25/per person per hour). ONE small glitch: the website says they open at 12, but they informed us they opened at 1. Please fix this, management!

I really enjoy this place. Always a great atmosphere with good energy. Awesome beer options! I try something new every time I go. Food is really good for quick eats. Waffle fries with beer cheese is my go to. *They didn't have Brussels sprouts last time I went which I was really sad about. Last treat they had them and they were honestly the BEST Brussels sprouts I've ever had. They have a nice homemade arcade set up, jumbo jenga and *drum roll please* AXE THROWING!!!! The axe throwing was something new this year. But such a good add to this place. It's super inexpensive as well, $10/pp for 30mins and $20pp for an hr. They also offer yoga some days!! #WIN Definitely recommend!!!

Constitution Yards is a great place to grab a drink with friends along the Riverfront during the summer. It can get pretty busy on a Friday night, so if your heart is set on cornhole, you may be better off coming during the afternoon or another weeknight. They offer a decent number of draft beers (recently, when we were there, there was a Dogfishhead tap takeover), but if none grab your interest, there's canned beers, canned wines, and premixed frozen drinks as well. Prices are reasonable, especially for some of the larger cans. The food selection largely consists of various fried foods and burgers/sandwiches and is mediocre at best, although the waffle fries ($5) are excellent --- perfectly crispy and deliciously seasoned. For $3 extra, you can add beer cheese for dipping. The chicken fingers ($9) unfortunately don't come with their own fries, so if you want both, you're talking $14 for essentially a fast food meal, though the fries are definitely large enough to share. On past visits, we were given a number to bring to a table and our food was delivered, but on my most recent visit (when it was a whole lot busier), you had to wait for 10-15 min in the giant cluster of people by the food stand to grab your order. There's activities for everyone --- cornhole, giant Jenga, sandboxes for the kids, live music on select nights, comfy Adirondack chairs for relaxing. This year, they added axe-throwing for $20 per person per hour. I've done axe throwing elsewhere before, and I felt like there was significantly less guidance/tutorial than I've had with past attempts at axe throwing. You can reserve an axe lane online for $20 (which goes toward your first person), but we definitely didn't need a reservation despite how busy they were in general. Parking can be tough --- they now park cars on the grass in front, but there's limited space. Otherwise, you're stuck street-parking or using one of the commuter lots further down Justison St, but be aware that this can be crazy if the Blue Rocks are also playing.

Really cool place to hang out. It's a large open outdoor space with beer, food, areas to sit, areas to play games. We came here on a Friday night. Picked up some beers only because we were stuffed from our dinner. There's plenty of table and chairs to sit. A band was just packing up their equipment. I guess they play some nights. Not sure when. There's areas to play cornhole outside along with an indoor arcade area as well. Also, there's an axe throwing place right next door. We were watching people throw axes while drinking some beer. Really cool place to chill with friends with some ice cold drinks. They check your ID before you enter so I'm guessing there's no kids allowed.

I went here with a friend on a Sunday afternoon during Covid. There was a football game on one of their large projector screens but it wasn't centered correctly so you didn't get much of the game. In fairness, we were not there for the game so we didn't mind but I think they should have fixed that up a bit for those who were there for that. We had a few beers and enjoyed the nice weather. The place is very big and offers ALOT of seating. They have outdoor porta potties which are kept pretty clean. If you're looking for a relaxed, quiet day to enjoy the company you're with I highly recommend.

Overpriced tourist trap. Bathrooms were inaccessible and downright disgusting. No ventilation or running water. $7-$9 beers. Vodka lemonade was stored elsewhere and not made to order, and literally all juice.

In visiting our daughter in Newark, DE so we decided to go the short drive to Wilmington to get dinner near the water. After dinner we walked along the boardwalk and discovered this outdoor venue. Lot's of people socializing, enjoying the beautiful night, sitting in the beachy chairs on the sand, playing cornhole (they even had an area for Axe throwing), grabbing a few drinks and just chillin!! We were able to get a cornhole game started (just go to the bar area and request the bean bags). A new favorite of mine when we are in DE next.

These people have an awful policy on dealing with someone with an allergic reaction. If you have no general allergies have at it but management sucks here so stay away

The beer gardens are well maintained and stocked with games and plenty of seating. The axe throwing was a huge highlight. Our coach Tyler made the experience one-of-a-kind. I can't recommend highly enough.

Wow it was a scorcher ! Despite the intense heat we had a great time. We tasted a bunch of their signature drinks and we weren't disappointed. Before leaving we got a quick bite to eat (I'd recommend the Parmesan tots) They even had live music I definitely want to come back (maybe on a cooler day lol).

They have food but you have to use a complicated website on your phone to order. I gave up. Can't just talk to a human. Lame. Music was good.

This is a great place to grab drinks with colleagues after work for happy hour. They have metal boxes that line the perimeter of the venue that get really hot in the summer, but there's nothing you can really do about it. I love that it's family friendly and there are kids running around, playing in the sandbox, etc. The big-size jenga is also super fun. The drinks are relatively well-priced but I must say the food is pretty expensive especially given the quality of what you get. Being close to the water is great. Just a note: When I went there yesterday I approached the bar and was told by the bartender "First round of drinks is on the house." I responded REALLY? And he said, no. I think I have a good sense of humor so I thought it was funny but the next person might not so much...

Was invited here by a friend and was harassed by the security guard he was very rude and got in my face about wearing a mask while dancing then comes back up to me again because i didn't have my mask pulled all the way up while walking to the bathroom I am all for safety but he was out of line.

Super great vibes and music! Laid back enough to bring the family on a Friday night or bar hop on the Riverfront, on Saturdays!! Love all the activities offered: cornhole, bocce, axe throwing, and even Jenga! Little arcade for the kiddies, as well! Good bar food and HUGE selection of drafts!! There's always live music and special events, with new brews!! LOVE THE STAFF! FYI anyone planning on coming in should have an ID ready, they are serious about keeping the public and beer garden safe and regulated for all to enjoy! THANK You! 5 *****

I LOVE THIS BEER GARDEN! Probably because it's right in front of my apartment and my window faces it so I see how nice it is yearly. This is one of the best places you can go during the warm season for Happy Hour or for a good time to spend with friends. This is also a very family-friendly, and pet-friendly environment!! People bring their kids and dogs to play in the sand, arcade, outdoor games, or in the grass. Drinks are plentiful (beer/wine/liquor) and prices are average. Food is limited, but I would say their fries are one of the best and crunchiest you'll find in an outdoor beer garden. The view is also great, and you're in the middle of lots of restaurants if you decide to venture off to eat somewhere else! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful concept in downtown Wilmington DE. Toast takeout was easy. This is a young people's place for sure. However, for us older folks, the problem was that the drinks were too expensive and the food was absolutely terrible. I don't mind paying more but I need value for the money. I wish the food was much much better. It's difficult to mess up bar food but they found a way! I wish I could go back but we won't for now.

Tough to decide if I like hanging out with my dog at the park more than drinking beer, but luckily I can do both here. Sucks that the field area gets swamped incredibly quickly with even light rain, but nothing they can do about that. This place has a perfect variety of beers to choose from at decent prices and it's a great spot to go hang with friends and enjoy some weather. My dog agrees with this review

Loved the atmosphere here! I was with a larger group after dinner and the ambiance was awesome! Being on the water, I was worried about there being a lot of bugs but that wasn't an issue. There are tons of games, and drink options. It was cool to be able to put our feet in the sand in the middle of the city of Wilmington! Definitely a chill place to check out!

At night an adult playground - giant Jenga, cornhole and more. And now they've added axe throwing stalls (separate cost). Limited food and drink options but everything you need. And whoever is selecting the music is doing a great job. No hip hop crap or rap - mostly Classic Rock Zeppelin, Stones, Faces etc. great date place especially on a hot summer night. Bands play on many weekends. All around A+.

A nice outdoor beer garden with lots of drink and food options! I came relatively early on a Friday evening, and was generally pleased with the selections and service. The food was pretty solid for bar food (but don't come expecting to eat healthy), and the bathrooms were impressive when considering that they were "technically" port o potties. Great summer vibe for early spring as well - would definitely stop by again if I were in Wilmington.

Wilmington's best. Great space, great drinks, games, food, and even a dog park. What's not to love? I frequent this spot during summer time and so should you. Great for a Friday night or a Sunday funday! Big beer selection if that's your thing, but all the cocktails are available too!

Wilmington's first beer garden since prohibition (according to the internet). Nothing speaks to millennials better than outdoor beer served in shipping containers decorated with tea lights and lawn games.

Great atmosphere and fun place to hang out with friends. Will definitely come back! Just wish there were more staff around helping with cleaning tables - especially now with all the COVID stuff going on.

If you drive past this place, your curiosity level rises. These strategically placed rail cars, cut out to harbor bars looks quite inviting. There are games of corn hole/baggo going on. Giant Jenga somewhere off in the corner. Two large sitting area with beach sand and chairs. All of this right on the river front. The concept gets a solid 10! Now here is where the disappointment comes in. Once you get inside and the aww factor wears off, you find your way up to a bar window. Upon getting there, you look up to see cans of beer prices anywhere from $6-9. Coors Lite was $4. Keep in mind I said cans. Dixie cups of wine are $9. You can go to a winery and get a complete tatting for that price. The food was basic. Looked like something you would get in a school cafeteria. The bartenders are slow and disengaged. Would I go back? Not really. Great concept that fails.

So much fun and so much to do! It's on the river and theres sand. I like to go barefoot lol. There's games and drinks and even family friendly things to do! We had a great time and will be back asap!!!

Fun little spot for happy hour. Took my team here for drinks before dinner right at opening time. The place was nearly empty, minus the large group that was there for a private event, but we didn't mind because it allowed us to fully enjoy all that Constitution Yards has to offer - plenty of space, games and just a great, overall outdoor setting. I appreciated that the bartenders took notices that we weren't part of the large group and kindly asked the group to move away from the bar so that we could see and order. I was also impressed by the prices. I haven't done happy hour in a while but $20 for 5 drinks was a deal to me. Oh and for those not a beer drinker, like me, they do offer wine and cocktails that are pretty decent as well. There's tons of seating to simply chat and enjoy the view or if you prefer a bit more interaction check out the large Jenga, bocce ball and other games. They even have a large sand box with pails and toys for kids to enjoy. Being from out of town, I just wish we had something like this closer to home because I would definitely come back again.

Just know what you're getting into ... it's mostly outdoors so weather will play a role. Probably the best place in town to just relax and unwind.
