Putrescent experience at Consuelo's this past Friday. Headed in looking for a quick lunch with two friends and we ordered right away at the counter. The tables are awkwardly set up, with not much room to maneuver between tables. I noticed it was also hot in the restaurant, as there didn't seem to be any air conditioning. My friends were called up to get their meals in order, but mine seemed to be taking longer. I waited, and after about 15 minutes had passed and my friends had pretty much finished their meals, I walked up to the counter to see about the delay.
The guy behind the counter said "it's coming, it's coming" regarding my meal when I asked about it. I explained that due to time constraints (we needed to get back to work), if they had forgotten my meal somehow and hadn't started making it, I'd just like my money back. This request wasn't really acknowledged and the guy just insisted it was coming. Then I was asked what my order was. How could he know it was coming if he didn't know what I asking about? Then separately a minute later, I was asked what my name was...and again what my order was. Turns out they somehow lost the order, so I had to tell them what it was (even though I had just said I would skip it if they hadn't started). At this point, I just restated my order and got it to go.
When I got back to work to eat my burrito, I discovered that not only did they forget to include my two sides (sour cream and guac) that I paid for, but this burrito was not the grande version nor the "wet" version (with green enchilada sauce), which cost $2 extra. I wasn't surprised since they had lost the ticket with these specifics. But the best was yet to come as I bit into a huge BONE (see pic) in the burrito. I am speechless at how inept this place is on so many levels. So not only did they forget my original order leaving me to watch my friends eat lunch, but they wouldn't admit they forgot my order, got the order wrong the second time around, and left a bone in the burrito (which was pretty bland by the way).
There are at least three other Mexican restaurants close by - skip over this dump and try one of those instead.
