"The Container Bar at 90 Rainey Street held its last days of service on Sunday, March 27. Per its name, the Container Bar was made up of several shipping containers. Dunlap announced the bar in 2011, and it took three years to open due to many delays." - Nadia Chaudhury

"Container Bar is exactly what you expect it to be - shipping containers stacked to create the best courtyard on Rainey. Day or night, this place is usually packed and while the drinks aren’t anything you won’t see at most other bars on the street, it’s one of the best spots to come with a bunch of people who are really into cargo scenery and drinking outside." - Adele Hazan

Our crew went to this bar mid day on a Sunday. This bar was the craziest party out of all bars on Rainey. Strong drinks and good bartenders. Highly recommend this bar if you want to have a wild time with great music and people!

Cool looking bar on Rainey Street that has decent drinks and is also relatively quick to get into. Though this place can get very crowded, there are other places to go within the bar that are less cramped. Despite how busy this place was, the bartenders here were very fast and got our drinks quickly. If you’re not into loud and crowded standing bars then I don’t recommend this place, but if you’re looking for a cool place to stop at while bar hoping on Rainey, this will serve its purpose just fine.

One of a kind bar for sure. Took photos early one morning right when the place opened. The whole place is made of shipping containers. Theres inside and covered outside. It was cold and rainy and we sat outside and still stayed warm and dry. There is a disco ball, lights, and an area for a live band There is a food trailor w a delicious food. Hot dogs, sandwiches, chicken strips, fries ect. Large portions too! I tryed the bbq pulled pork on fries, had a sunny side up egg ontop. I ate half and i was full, it was delicious. Theres more than one bar, the bartenders made the drinks just right. The spiked cider kept our hands Nice n warm. Def reccomended for brunch, lunch, and night time party scene. Rain or shine! Dog friendly!!!

I can't rate the food or the drinks because we didnt have any. But I love the building itself as I'm looking to build my own shipping container home. Great inspiration and idea for me.

This was a really cool venue with very nice live music when we were there, but there is a lot left to be desired. I order a vodka tonic everywhere I go, and the bartender made it with soda water(basically vodka and sparkling water with a squeeze of lime) and when I asked if he made it with soda water he said he didn't know. I was pretty unimpressed with his lack of in interest, but the atmosphere that was created when other patrons showed up was additionally just not my scene. When my drink was remade, it still tasted wrong and I was so put off by the bartender's response that I didn't want to complain. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if at least the bartender had been attending five or made my drink correctly. Disappointing. But that's just MY opinion, someone else may enjoy it more.

CRAZY packed but great music and great vibe. Took a while to get drinks. Has two levels. Really loved this place!

Love the music. Outdoor rooftop balcony that overlooks the dance floor. The open rooftop with lights adds a nice touch to the bar.
