To visit The Continental, once a music club and now a bar, is to experience old New York. It has personality, cheap drinks. A good juke box and staff who seem to care. As the neighborhood changes, ....get ...in here too at least say you were here. Lots of memories fir lots of people.

Decent atmosphere. Over eccentric body guards. Best part abou this place are the shots shots shots, even then some of my friends think those are water downed.

Solid choice to get a large number of shots for a cheap price if you are out with friends. If the plan is to have a good time on a budget you'll most likely end up here but it is definitely not a place you stick around at. The bar is usually packed and the bouncers are much more rude in comparison to other bars in the area.

This is the probably the worst bar I've ever been to but it's also one of the cheapest so it's hard to hate. 5 shots of anything for $10 or 7 shots of anything for $10 if your purchase a full price beer. It's not somewhere you should stick around though. Get in, get drunk, and then go to your actual destination with your wallet much happier. I'm not sure about all the racist accusations, I've never seen anyone turned away and there's typically a broad mix of people whenever I go.

Great place, cheap drinks (don’t think you getting cheap top shelf ) and good atmosphere. Y the low score? The owner. A lot of people say he’s racist. Don’t know about that, but some of his actions are questionable. The owner is a real piece of work Whether it’s refusing to let people in (guys pull up your pants when you get on that block) constantly telling his bouncers to throw people out who he feels are too drunk or just telling people to leave if he feels that their group is too big. Now not everything has happened to me, so I don’t want to seem petty. The bouncers I’ve talked to say he’s always watching the cameras. I still come here once in a while but it’s not my first choice. Plenty of cheap bars in the area

What an establishment. Kicked out after less than 30 min not because of being drunk (I couldn’t even get to that level) but because I was standing in a “yellow area”, which is some sort of nondescript area in the bar. After spending about 30 dollars on drinks wit a group of 10 people, I guess the boss didn’t want the business and decided to kick me out pretty discriminately. I think the overall rating speaks for itself; all you have to do is scroll down and read some of the reviews to realize this is not a place you want to drink or associate yourself with in general. I was only able to drink one shot of tequila from their special and it was enough to realize their management and bar service is a joke - I can tell their bartender was miserable and so was the bouncer. Truly sad experience, thank goodness NYC just a corner away.

When the biggest sign on the bar says "5 Shots any Type, $10", you know it's not a high end jazz bar. Cheap drinks and dive-like atmosphere aside, this is a good place to start or end an evening celebrating with friends. The bouncer can be a stickler about expired or out of state ID's as I have seen many people turned away before even getting in.

Nice old decor, 70's style. The real "deal" is in the 5 shots for $10, but the shots are really half or 1/3 a shot of other bars. They don't take request soccer games on the TV. Good starting the night place, but no one should stay more than 20 minutes.
