"The baristas at Contraband take their coffee seriously - we’ve heard some intense coffee bean discussion going on in here, which is something to keep in mind if you like procrastination. There aren’t a ton of outlets, so get there early if you want to be sure you can get one. They have small food items like scones, and there are a few tables outside on the sidewalk for when the weather’s nice." - Will Kamensky

Excellent coffee. Nice staff. Love all of the options and that there is excellent quality decaf filter. The best decaf filter I’ve ever had. The mochi muffin that comes from third culture is amazing too.

Though the coffee is good, but then good to great coffee can be found all over San Francisco without having to go more than a few blocks. What would have been an otherwise pleasurable experience was ruined by the server/barista who was plain arrogant and rude. Over my many coffee journeys around the world, these few bad apples really destroy authentic cafe culture and etiquette. I ordered 2 Lattes, 1 Mocha, 2 Americanos and a Black Coffee. Of that a couple of them were hastily put together too and I did not care to drink them and put them back in disgust. I feel sorry for that guy for he had no interest, let alone passion for his job.

This is a really cool relaxed place to go to work on your laptop or enjoy the sun with their outside seats. The prices are fair and you get a discount if you buy beans! The best spot for working on your laptop is the tables next to the wall.

They roast and serve their own beans. You can get single origin drip coffee. They make a lovely flat white. For tea drinkers, there is a nice selection of loose leaf tea as well as three different versions of chai. For snacks, they have Liege style Belgian waffles, Dynamo donuts and empanadas. The baristas are super nice and chill. There is outside seating too.

Great flavor in their turmeric late with soy. This place is not so much of a grab and go place, and more of a chill and appreciate the coffee type of place, and i'm all for it

Great coffee! takes several minutes but worth the wait and good amount of seating at one longer table. Barista was a little aloof but fine.

Fantastic selections of coffee here and a decent place to also bring your laptop and work.

Really enjoyed the Guatemala filter coffee! Stuff is very friendly and down to earth.
