"The more informal venture by the Geadas brothers (Óscar and António), who, after their success at the renowned G Pousada, now seek to reaffirm their love and commitment to their homeland. Here, they advocate traditional cuisine aimed at promoting the local recipe repertoire, taking the authenticity of Bragança’s products to the wider world. In addition to dishes like Aunt Mariema’s tasty samosas (which can be vegetarian or meat), generous scallops with cockle couscous (made from Barbela wheat typical of Trás-os-Montes), you can find game options such as wild boar sirloin served with chestnut purée and crisps. The rustic, homely atmosphere is enhanced by a charming terrace for summer days. And if you’d like to pick up one of the linguistic gems still spoken in Mirandese, you can start with “Ebun pan i bun bino, ándam camino!” (Good bread and good wine, let’s hit the road!)" - Michelin Inspector

6 ⭐️'s!!!!!! Awesome awesome service, food, and atmosphere! One of our most memorable dinners! The server and the two cooks work very hard for the diners and did an amazing job of great looking food that was just as delicious! If you are ever in the area, you should give it a try! The restaurant is within the castle walls.

A truly delightful experience from start to finish. The staff were exceptionally helpful, patient, and attentive. I wasn't sure whether a reservation would be necessary, as town seemed pretty dead, but I'm glad I reserved ahead. The restaurant was full but didn't feel overwhelmed or crowded. The food was spectacular, perfectly balanced, and fun. As mentioned in other reviews, it was a stark contrast to traditional Portuguese cuisine. The dessert was whimsical while tasting amazing. I couldn't help but smile the entire time I was there. Highly recommend. Appetizer, main, dessert, and a glass of wine came to €40. A phenomenal deal.

Hitchhike to get here and sleep under bridges if you have to. This dinner was totally worth it. We had delicious food and the perfect wine choice. The waiter helped me with my gluten and milk intolerances by suggesting to replace some ingredients in dishes I wanted to try. I had the wild boar with mushroom rice instead of the chestnut purée and a yummy orange and almond cake for dessert. My friend delighted over her fish and her salted caramel dessert. The lime butter served with the bread smelled amazing and my friend was happy she didn’t have to share it with me. Great food, lovely service and a relaxed atmosphere (for the diners 😉). It is more expensive than the usual restaurant but totally worth the difference for the creative work in the kitchen is providing you with an unusual, delicious food experience.

Wonderful little restaurant with a very talented female chef. Camille is a wizard in her tiny kitchen. We had the squid and fish entrees and both were delicious from beginning to end. We ended the meal with one of my favorite desserts...basque cheesecake. It was also delicious! Our server and all of the staff were polite and helpful. Especially when we had to work through a translator app. They were patient. I think it helped that the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived right at opening time. We are going back to try the prawns next time.
