My favorite wine store in the neighborhood (and there are quite a few heavy hitters). I love the variety Convive has - lots of “natural” wines (which a store associate lectured me saying there was no such thing, but anyways …). They don’t have a ton of options under $20/bottle (whereas other premium shops in the neighborhood do) but they have really amazing bottles in the $20-$30 range. Convive is my favorite because their bottles are truly good value and have blown me away.

When I asked the young woman at the desk if they had vegan wines, she responded "all our wines are vegan." I said "that's not true." She then said "well, we don't separate them out." A simple "I don't know" would have been fine, but don't give a flippant lie.

Excellent, well curated selection of wine and spirits. I love their unique spirits selection and looking at the cool label designs. The space itself is set up with a unique back area where you can taste available products. Miss the tastings! What makes this store experience special, is the friendly, knowledgeable staff, who keep things lighthearted and fun. Highly recommend!

Convive is a cute wine shop, conveniently located in the heart of East Village. They have a wide selection of wines and spirits to choose from, offering something for every taste and every occasion. I love coming here when I need to grab a bottle for a dinner party because the employees have always been helpful in helping me decide what to get. The last few times I've been to Convive, they've given me great recommendations and the wines were a hit at the dinner party too! The cherry on top? Their price points are very fair so there's something for everyone. Highly recommend!

Great Wine Store, recommended by a friend last year to be exact and I have returned ever since. The Staff is extremely knowledgeable and will point you in the right direction regarding price or taste without fail. It's that kind of wine store. Lately I've noticed a lack of interest in assisting a client, usually one rep is on their phone and or the computer, I get it, we all multitask, but when one gets the sense after quite a few visits, that you're more of an intrusion then a loyal customer. Time to move on.

The staff are non-involved, but will happily make recommendations if you inquire. The shop is worth following on Instagram, as they have wine events and tastings from time to time.

You might be tempted to think this is nothing more than a local neighborhood wine shop, but it's so much more than that. Once you walk in, you're treated to an incredible curated selection of wines, from the everyday to the special. They especially specialize in natural wines. Juhfark from Hungary? It's here! Mencia from Spain? Check! Orange Macabeo? Oh yea! In addition to this, they have a bright and clean store with a wonderful, helpful staff. No matter what you're looking for, these guys will be able to help you out. Definitely make the trek over to Avenue A to check them out.

I stopped in here last minute because it was open late and I was in need of a bottle of Champagne! The atmosphere was very stylish and modern with a nicely curated wine selection of all price ranges. The staff was helpful and, even though I came close to closing, willing to help look for what we wanted and see if they had anything else in the back. They were friendly and happy to make recommendations as well. I walked out with a very nice bottle of Champagne and saw many other things on the shelf that I'd be more than willing to come back for. Next time I'm in the area, I'll make a point to stop by and pick up a bottle or two. Highly recommended!

I came here for an afternoon wine tasting event and wow what a beautiful space. The store is small but so stylishly appointed with an eclectic selection of wines and other spirits. I was looking for a special bottle of pink champagne for very good friends that just had their first baby and the owner Jessie recommended a super special 2009 vintage of champagne jacquesson that is no longer even made (the pink that is!). Truly one of a kind and I can't wait to give it to my friends. Pricey! But hey it's for friends that had been trying to have a baby for years. The back room feels like someone's dining room and it's a place where I would love to invite a bunch of friends for a tasting (next on the agenda!). Definitely check out this unique wine store and the bathroom as well which boasts a heated toto toilet too!

Convive is not only an amazing environment, beautifully decorated, and organized (with the most beautiful flowers adorning the shop)- it also has a staff passionate about wine. There isn't any pompous hoity-toity judgment, just a love of good wine! They have recommended some of the best wine I've had that fits my tastes while also encouraging me to explore! Their free tastings are a great way to learn and meet others in the neighborhood. Come sit around their beautiful and grand custom dining room table and enjoy!

The owners greeted me at the door in a very welcoming way, that was not too overbearing. The wine store is gorgeous with light ash wood cooled open shelving units so the whites/roses are COLD upon arrival. This is a really neat concept. The wine I purchased was perfectly chilled. I am a pseudo wine connoisseur and o was impressed with the selection. You could tell it was carefully curated and affordable. I recognized a lot of the wines and they weren't the typical fake oak bombs you get at traditional wine stores. Highly recommend!

I LOVE Convive! Best wine store in the area for sure. They're friendly and smart and they often have some delicious bottle open and pouring when I go in. They have a huge selection of under $30 bottles (my range!). The displays are beautiful and everyone there just has a good vibe. The owner Jesse is always really helpful!

Many thanks from a very happy customer all the way in California! Convive was the only place I could find the Geil beerenauslese (well, there was another shop in Kentucky, but alas they did not ship). Ordering online was easy, and when I had a question about my order Jessie and his employees were very helpful and courteous over the phone. My order was shipped quickly and well packaged, and arrived just in time for my birthday! Will definitely be happy to order from them again in the future!

A gem of a neighborhood wine shop- I moved away from EV so I miss popping in for last minute wine! They're always on point with their recommendations, willing to work with your budget but suggest something interesting, and so generous with their time. I've picked their brain about wineries, etc. Design is so cool (open, refrigerated shelving!) plus they sell spirits too. GO TO THIS SHOP. I promise you won't regret it. I'm considering getting a case delivered because I know nothing about wine and I've never been steered wrong by them

I live on this block and pop in often. The staff are super friendly and are really personable when you ask them for suggestions and pairings. Really adorable store. Have made the suggestion to them before that their name "Convive" should really be displayed prominently in the front. The "C" is cute but I was tried yelping and googling it for reviews before my first visit and didn't realize its full name so avoided going for a while. Surprisingly affordable wines despite upscale look and feel to the store. One star taken off for the limited variety of liquor. I understand it's a curated selection but it takes this place out of the running of being my go-to because there is only one type of Japanese whiskey (as well as limited types of other liquors).

Wow. Fresh place for wine and liquor, optimized for easy grab and go, great unique small batch selection at incredible prices. Picked up a bottle of nikka coffey whisky for only 57 bucks, plus they deliver and have great customer service. Definitely coming back!

Convive is a very quaint little wine shop with high quality wine. For it's kind of store I would say 5/5, but in the context of ANY store, the selection is a bit limited. The people working there knew the wine they had very well. There is also a nice range of affordable wine in addition to the high quality bottles.

Great service and selection! My husband and I have somewhat different taste in wine. He like bold reds with a lot of Oak and I love Pinot Noir. The wine guru at Convive helped pick out a couple bottles that we can agree on and also a couple that we will each appreciate. Wines are all stored at the correct temperature on the shelf which is awesome if you're on the way to a party or friends house. They also have a great selection of sparkling wines and champagnes. Perfect for New Years Eve which is coming up!!!

WOW what a wonderful, beautiful shop. I came from the UWS, because I found one of my favorite Italian wines here - only place in NY (maybe the entire US) I've been able to find it!!! If you want to know, it's called Tenuta Buon Tempo. They have the Rosso and Brunello. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have wine tastings here as well - check out their Instagram. I could not have had a better first experience. Also to note - they surprisingly didn't seem to upsell on price (even though their selection is bomb dot com) like many competing wine stores in the area. Yes please.

This place is GREAT. We've been in dire need of a cool wine store in the neighborhood and this place is it. Hip vibe and a wonderful selection. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. For my husband's birthday, they arranged for us to do a tasting in the back room - it couldn't have been more fun. Based on our pretty pathetic description of what we like, Skye came up with a bunch of amazing and delicious really interesting wines. We plan to be regular customers here! Delivery is also a huge plus.
