Cookbook - Review - Ketchum - Sun Valley - The Infatuation

"Located in a former church, Cookbook is an extremely small restaurant with just seven butcher-block tables: five two-tops and two four-tops. You might feel like you’re eating in a stylish and avant-garde corner of Ikea, as there are multiple shelves of color-coded cookbooks on the walls, along with gray Swedish sound panels that look like mountain topography. Menu staples include a minimal ingredient but maximally tasteful Pete’s Pasta and the spaghetti squash with house-ground bolognese, basil, and parmesan. Get something off the great wine list and pair it with one of the personal pizzas, like the Shroom, which goes heavy on its namesake. If you can’t get a table—or just want to relax on the couch of your hotel room after skiing all day—Cookbook’s takeout holds up extremely well." - Hayden Seder

The 17 Best Restaurants In Sun Valley

"Located in a former church, Cookbook is an extremely small restaurant with just seven butcher-block tables: five two-tops and two four-tops, one of which is tucked away in its own little corner by the entrance. You might feel like you’re eating in a stylish and avant-garde corner of Ikea, as there are multiple shelves of color-coded cookbooks on the walls, along with gray Swedish sound panels that look like mountain topography.  Menu staples include Pete’s Pasta with cherry tomatoes, white wine, and garlic, and the spaghetti squash with house-ground bolognese, basil, and parmesan. Get something off the great wine list and pair it with one of the personal pizzas, like the Shroom with oyster and shiitakes, sauteed spinach, rosemary, thyme, fontina, parmesan, and truffle oil. Google
A stellar experience from the get-go. Seated outside, nice two top. Emily was our server and I think she's one of the best servers we've ever had. Had the watermelon gazpacho -- so refreshing and HOLY FLAVOR! Wild mushroom ravioli, DAMN delicious! And for dessert we took the Veda cake home. Yum!

Google
What a quaint little hideaway in Ketchum, Idaho. When paying it a visit during the summer, Cookbook provides an endearingly cozy outdoor dining oasis. Fresh, delicious dishes and attentive service make it an easy go-to for me, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for anything from a light salad, to a rich pasta dish. We ordered the Caprese Salad, Watermelon Gazpacho, Roasted Chicken (Nightly Special), and the KG Bowl. The Caprese salad had a wonderful balance of all ingredients. There’s nothing worse than running out of all the burrata before finishing the heirlooms, before finishing the bread, etc etc. reverse order and apply. The gazpacho was very unique. It was a little on the sweet side for my palate, but I still appreciated the uniqueness of the flavor blend they were going for. I’d say the mint needed to be a bit more pronounced, and the consistency would benefit from having a less syrupy texture. It was fun to try but I wouldn’t order it again. Something about the sweet tomato fruit flavor reminded me of leftover cold pineapple pizza (which I love btw, this isn’t an insult, just a flavor reference). Chicken was great. A little on the dry side and wasn’t served entirely warm, but had a pleasant flavor. The bed of kale salad complimented the protein nicely. KG bowl was fantastic and great ethnic vegetarian option. Overall, the beauty of this place comes from the thought/creativity behind the dishes, the ambience, and the pleasant service atmosphere. I’d come back to try some of their other items!

Google
Late in the evening visit but they cheerfully sat us for a very nice meal. High quality pizza and unique offerings that you don't see everywhere. Fully enjoyed.

Google
This was a really great dinner! The menu is completely packed with scrumptious delights. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The Cookbook is extremely family friendly, which is great. The Ukrainian dumplings were very flavorful and the pizza was savory. Veda’s cake is both authentic and delicious. I couldn’t more highly recommend the Cookbook!

Google
Lovely outdoor seating; amazing, friendly service that made us feel like we were eating at their home; menu has a wonderful selection and a well-paired wine list; all homemade desserts; easy street parking.

Google
Best meal we had in Ketchum! The food was delicious, the staff were all lovely and the outdoor atmosphere was everything we wanted on a warm summer night. We have a one year old and he loved being able to walk about the side yard. We were lucky to get in without a reservation around 7:30 but it really picked up around 8:30.

Natalie Chun

Google
Small and warm space. Overall food was good, enjoyable and reasonably priced. We had pizza, pasta and a dessert. Also offers wines that are outside of the norm and the one we tried from Hungary was great.

Yelp
Favorite spot to dine, very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Come casual chic or just casual. Food and wine offerings are delicious. Make sure you get a reservation. Area has limited indoor seating. Loved everything we ordered.

Yelp
Heck out these plates we ordered last night. Delicious! Tasty! Made with love. One of the best restaurants in the valley, hands down. Great food and amazing local friendly service. The best way to experience it is to try it. We always have a blast here. Go and enjoy!

Yelp
Absolutely terrible service attitude and the food was ridiculous. Pasta tasted worse than warmed up Trader Joes. Servers had no idea what they were serving, ingredient's or how to tell the difference between red and white wine. So not dine here. So over priced. Basic boring pasta said it had sausage in it pointed out there was no sausage in my serving and waitress told me that i could order an extra side for $15!!!! Even though i had already ordered and paid for a sausage pasta for $29. She said the menu must be wrong? Wtf! Worst dining in sun valley in 15 years! Then has the audacity to say i could order food to go as they needed to sell more that night!!!' Ive never not tipped but almost did tonight.

Yelp
We surprised my dad with tickets to a concert and dinner reservations at Cookbook. We were traveling from Boise and I knew I wanted to eat somewhere without bar food because that's all we have in the valley...anyways this place surpassed all expectations. The inside literally only has 7 tables. It feels like you're in someone's living/dining room. It's very quaint and cozy. They have cookbooks on bookshelves in every color of the rainbow. Our server (Matthew?) was a wealth of knowledge, engaging and patient. He had great recommendations based on what we were eying. Can I just say I also love the two black and white prints in the bathroom that show place settings in front of a gravestone? So unique. My family likes to share food so we can all get to taste multiple things. So, as recommend by our server we started with the Ukrainian dumplings. You must get these. The pork inside is so moist and yummy. We also got the beet salad and it was actually a 'beet' salad! For those that eat these regularly like me, I hate when your salad comes and it's all lettuce no beets. This is stacked with beets and apples in layers, pistachio ontop and goat cheese. I think there were even a few pepperchinis ontop which was oddly delicious. For main course we got a pizza, and two pastas. The pizza dough and sauce was very good. Texture of the crust was on point, thinner and the sauce was fresh. I would have went with different topping pizza but my family chose this so oh well. Overall it was good. The mushrooms ravs were my favorite. It was loaded with sage flavor which is making my mouth water writing this. If you like shrooms, just get it. We decided on the pesto for our final dish because the noodles are house made. Very good, but again would have went with the vodka pasta (same noodles) if it was just my choice. My mom and I got a Chardonnay that was incredible, not oaky. We are not big dessert eaters but our waiter described the owners homemade tart cherry cake "that is not sweet" and oh my goddd. The flavor was so good, how you make a cake so good without it being sweet. We would have stayed longer but felt we needed to get going as another reservation was waiting on our table. We will definitely be back again. I highly recommend this little gem, tucked right downtown.

Yelp
The service was fantastic, and Cookbook has a quaint, cosy atmosphere. Definitely make reservations and don't expect to no-show or cancel/reschedule at the last minute without getting charged - this is a small business and just how they operate, nothing wrong with that in my opinion. The salad (with pear slices and walnuts) was kind of bland, I wouldn't order it again. They had a parmesan truffle risotto special that was amazing. The spaghetti squash bolognese was 4/5 and the linguine with tomatoes and basil was 3.5/5. The Belgian chocolate cheesecake was really rich and any chocolate lover would be happy with it. Every cooked dish came out lukewarm which was disappointing. I'd consider going back to try other dishes but will probably choose somewhere else to go first.

Yelp
We've been coming to sun valley for 20 years and this is by far the worst meal we've had here. Ordered a few different pizzas and a salad. The pizzas were overcooked and dry which I can't remember encountering with a pizza before. But at least they were bland! And the salad came with zero flavor as well. Extra dressing meant it wasn't dry which helped. We had to choke down the $15 salad and the $22 pizzas.

Yelp
Cookbook has been our favorite restaurant for years. We supported them during Covid by weekly takeouts. Last night we had a reservation for 4 but at the last minute my son became ill. We decided to go anyway and called to tell them we would only be 3. After being seated the waitress informed us the restaurant should charge us $50 for a cancellation but this one time she asked if would please compensate the restaurant by ordering an extra entree or a bottle of wine. We were in shock and needless to we will no longer dine here.

Sue S.

Yelp
Four of us had a wonderful experience at Cookbook. The food and service were outstanding. They had vegan options for the member of our group who's vegan.

Christin A.

Yelp
Grey goose pasta (meatless version) and Burke's pizza with the blue cheese, jalapeños and arugula last night were absolutely incredible. Our cake for desert was as spectacular as was the service and adorable outdoor seating. You can feel the love in this place. One of my favorite meals and experiences ever. Will run to this place again on my next trip to Sun Valley.

Natalie B.

Yelp
Simply amazing. Start with the dumplings and, if there are four of you - get two orders. Omg so good. Then dinner - we all got different items and they were all amazing. And then dessert - get the chocolate pudding with the Japanese whisky - omg. Truly - worth the money and yes you need to make a reservation but it is so so worth it! WOW! A little jewel

Yelp
Food was excellent, waiter was so sweet and the ambiance was a fun light and modern atmosphere. Highly recommend. The salads were so fresh and tasty, pasta to die for, and the desert was amazing! Forgot to ask what it was exactly. Will definitely be back! Gem of a restaurant

Yelp
Date night in Sun Valley! When you only get 1 date night on a 10 day trip with your crazy children you have to choose your restaurant very carefully. And all of our family, friends and yelpers pointed to Cookbook for a delicious meal. We booked a 5pm reservation (all we could find online) and let the kids in the capable hands of their grandparents- good luck to them! We pulled up to a small house that had been turned into Cookbook. At 5pm we had the restaurant to ourselves and were greeted by very friendly staff. The menu, which changes daily, is small, but so many tasty things to choose from. My husband and I decided to share a salad, mushroom truffle pizza (had a fancier name on the menu) and the Parmesan crusted trout. + a glass of sparkling Rose for me and a few glasses of wine for my husband (alcohol menu is all wine). The salad was a great way to get some fresh greens + a delicious cheese. The pizza was good enough that I indulged a bit too much. And the trout was the true winner of the night. In fact, I wished I didn't have to share w/ my husband and could have it all to myself. There were only 2 options for desserts and at our waitress's suggestion we went w/ the cherry cake. I planned to have only a few bites, but can promise it's impossible to stop at a few bites of this dessert...and well worth eating half (or all) of it. I can see why they have so many fans. The atmosphere is fun and laid back, the food is so good and the service was great too. My only complaint is that dinner went too fast and we came home to 3 very awake children.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to make a reservation here after our drive up from Salt Lake. When we got to the restaurant, we waited for at least 20 minutes before any of the staff acknowledged that we were there. Several other parties were waiting at the same time as well. I'm sure this was likely because of short staffing due to COVID, but just wanted to share that observation. When we eventually got seated, the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Our whole table ordered the soup special - it was a cauliflower truffle soup and was truly the best soup I've ever had! The mushroom ravioli was incredible as well. Definitely a must try if you are in Sun Valley!

Carter S.

Yelp
The Cookbook was great. I had a great grey goose vodka sauce pasta, and it had a nice texture to it. The people working there were very kind and the place had a nice atmosphere.
google avatar

Laurel D.

Yelp
We made a reservation and came in with our 3 kids. The service was great, everyone was kind and attentive but the food was just so bland. We ordered the caprese and the beet salad to start, the beets tasted canned and they absolutely were not fresh. the bread on the caprese tasted like stale toast and came with literally two slices of tomato. dry, no flavor. I ordered the grey goose pasta with the "house made pork sausage" the sausage was so burnt that when I bit into it, it was literally crispy and airy like popcorn and the pasta was actually worse then what I could have made for myself at home?! pizzas were fine, we ordered the cake and it was so bland I have no idea what flavor it was supposed to be. This was by FAR the most money we have ever spent on a meal and I am absolutely shocked by the prices they charge for the food they serve. Why?! I saw nothing about the food being organic or that the meat they serve being healthy. I mean our meal couldn't have been more average but that bill for what we got was WILD. Don't do it.

Yelp
What a beautiful little restaurant with incredibly superb service. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the unique wine list. We tried the Ukranian dumplings and they were superb. All the dishes we tried were beautifully seasoned and delicious. My husband tried the meatballs that were perfectly balanced with a creamy polenta and I had the warming Alpine dinner, which comprised of beautifully seasoned chicken, artichokes and white beans. The stand out of the night was the beautiful and delicate Vita's cake. A special layered cake, rich with cream, but not overly sweet. So delicious. What a sweet spot.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Adorable place. Great service. Fantastic food! We would definitely come back and could not recommend more. It was our favorite restaurant of our week visit.
google avatar

Eric M.

Yelp
Back again, and still one of our favorites! The wine list is unique, so delicious. The grey goose pasta is amazing. Our service was great. We can't say enough about this little place. We will keep coming back every time we are in town.

Johnny L.

Yelp
I ordinarily don't review a restaurant until I've been there three times. However, the service is extra ordinary! The food was divine, and our waiter was seriously the best I have ever had. The owner was our waiter and his wife is the cook.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow!!! Burke and his wife (owners) hit it out of the park with these perfectly curated dishes. Every time we are in town this is a must! Some of the standouts are the Ukrainian dumplings, so full of flavor I could eat a whole bowl! Our favorite pizza is the Flying pig with the homemade sausage but you really cannot go wrong in this category. And the absolute must have is the mushroom ravioli ! To top it off our server Matt was an absolute pleasure describing the dishes in detail and suggesting the perfect wine parings.

Gal G.

Yelp
Horrible customer service, had to make a change in reservation because the rest of my party got sick. They would not offer the change, and said i had to order take out instead to make up for their loss of a table this night. Too simply put it. we were going to come in the following week and this turned us off this place completely.
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
I cannot think of a single bad thing to say about this place... This is the type of spot I hope thrives here and I can visit for years to come! Staff you want to be friends with, the cutest building with wonderful outdoor dining, a perfectly fresh and filling menu, and a well curated wine list. I want to live at Cookbook. We ordered a few glasses of Oregon wines and then to start the Halloumi cheese salad and clam dish. Both were light and refreshing and the flavor of the calms, my gosh, wonderful. For dinner we shared the spaghetti squash but with the pete's pasta vegetarian sauce on it. It was garlicky, buttery, and nutty from the squash. And of course we had the mushroom ravioli, which like everyone is saying on Yelp is a must. You cannot miss dessert here, even if you don't want it. The cherry layer cake is what dreams are made of. I cannot wait to be back here. Counting it down!
google avatar

Devon M.

Yelp
We have been coming to Sun Valley and Ketchum for years in the summertime and this was by far the best meal we have ever had, hands down. The ambiance of the patio was lovely! The service was prompt and very good. Everything we ordered was insanely delicious- the chicken and avocado Caesar salad with pickled red onion was seriously one of my favorite salads I have ever ordered. Daughter got the Grey Goose vodka pasta and our friends ordered the other pasta dish and something else they really enjoyed I'm just forgetting. Really outstanding and would return a second time on this trip if we had the time!
google avatar

Katie K.

Yelp
I'm so glad we chose this spot for a nice date night. The outdoor seating was wonderful on a warm summer night, the staff was friendly & attentive, and the food was fantastic. I had the mushroom ravioli which was out of this world! Also, highly recommend the layered cherry cheesecake! Be sure to get a slice before they sell out ;)

Yelp
Every restaurant that Burke Smith has been associated with over the last 20+ years here in Sun Valley has had exceptional service due to his close attention to customer needs. These restaurants included Evergreen and Enoteca, both which also served excellent cuisine. So when I heard that he and his wife opened Cookbook, I knew that service there would be unmatched. The question remained as to whether the food would be on par. In short the answer is a definite yes. The cuisine is also exceptional. Standout dishes start with the 'Cyprus', grilled Halloumi cheese with very nicely sautéed spinach. A roasted chicken entree garnered raves from our group as did the Parma pizza, a Margarita with Parma ham and arugula. My personal favorite is the Wild Mushroom Ravioli in a wonderfully savory Marsala cream sauce. I also liked the Bolognese over, not pasta, but spaghetti squash, a wonderful variant allowing those of us attempting to reduce carbs to enjoy a good pasta-style meat sauce dish without the wheat noodles. And for dessert do try the "Shot" for a small but tasty cup of rich dark chocolate pudding with sea salt and more. It has been on the beverage service side where Burke has excelled over the years, so it is no surprise that Cookbook likewise excels in that category. It begins with the wine list which appears to be carefully assembled by Burke with an array of wines, many of which are hard-to-find boutique labels, that provide a delicious spectrum of distinctive and delicious tastes. And as it has been a common Burke practice, he will, after a brief interrogation of your wine preferences, pour for you a tasting flight of wines from the list that meet your profile. We were presented a Barolo from Italy, a Syrah blend from the Rhone, and a "Red Blend" from the Snake River Valley, Idaho. It was unanimous (much to our surprise): we all went for the "Swamp Donkey" from up the road here in Idaho. This is one of the extraordinary dimensions of dining with Burke. It is unlikely we would have ever discovered this delicious (Idaho???? Really???) wine without our little tasting exercise. This potential for discovery contributes to a certain excitement to the dining experience. Burke has in the past provided us this same excitement also on the beer/ale side. The one disappointment I experienced under the beverage category was the restaurant's exclusion of coffee from their offerings. I enjoy a good brew at the end of a meal. Only tea is available. Cookbook is indeed a welcome addition to the Sun Valley culinary scene and should rank among the top restaurants in the area.
google avatar

Brenna T.

Yelp
Everything on the cookbook menu is great. I CRAVE the clam linguine, but the spaghetti squash bolognese, the grey goose pasta, are all great choices. The mushroom ravioli is rich but delicious. The pizza's are all solid (my dad loves the flying pig!) and the starters are pretty consistent. I recommend the Meyer lemon salad and the summer/winter caprese!

Caroline K.

Yelp
We are visiting from LA and had the best time at the cookbook tonight! A little gem in Sun Valley! This is a small, family run restaurant where they make you feel at home. Fantastic food and service! We had the Ukrainian dumplings, mushroom ravioli and grey goose pasta with homemade sausage. We liked it so much we asked them to squeeze us in tomorrow, which they did. Enough said?
google avatar

Monica Y.

Yelp
The food here is very very good. It was easy to order take out from their website. Upon arrival, you text them and they bring it out to your car. The food was delicious. We ordered the beet salad, caprese salad, grey goose pasta with sausage and clam linguini and two gingerbread cookies.

Yelp
I've been to every restaurant in Ketchum and I have to tell you that I've never been to this one previously. I can tell you what a grave is mistake that I have made because the service and food at this restaurant by far the best I ever experienced. The service was beyond good as the waiters were as enthusiastic about the food as we were about eating it. The quality of the food was a 10 out of 10. This is the place!
google avatar

Stacey G.

Yelp
This is one of the few times, Yelp reviews were really misleading. We had a series of bad dishes. We arrived on time, following a positive experience with their same-day online reservation system, and stayed back at the "wait here" sign. After making eye contact with wait staff, it took 10 long minutes to be acknowledged. Service improved after we were seated. We chose Cookbook after reading glowing reviews and seeing clams. Alas, they were out of clams. My mushroom ravioli arrived cold, vodka fettuccini was undercooked (not al dente), bolognese on spaghetti squash lacked flavor, caprese salad was just ok. I was so disappointed, I was ready to leave quickly, by family wanted dessert. The seven layer cream cheese cake with cherries was the best thing we ate. I feel gypped that we spent one of our precious nights out in Ketchum on such a bad meal.

Nadia L.

Yelp
We called in advance to get a table for 5 and were told that we could easily get a table after 8:30pm and could show up as early as 8:15pm. No reservation required at that time. We showed up at 8:25 pm and were told it was too late to get a table!!!!!! We love their food, have never actually eaten there and was hoping to try it tonight. The service was poor, the explanation as to the change was ridiculous and I hope that the management understands how poorly the situation was handled. Super disappointed.
google avatar

Meghan K.

Yelp
Spent $75 on to-go food and when I asked staff for silverware (staying at a hotel) they said they don't have any...wtf is that?! Ordered chicken & polenta, Two Myer Lemon Salads, and a pizza- all were just blah. Great restaurants in the area, but this isn't one of them. Would not recommend
google avatar

Myra F.

Yelp
I love the idea of this intimate owner run restaurant, but there are a few bugs. The poached pear and Gorgonzola pizza topping was tasty, but the crust was so hard it was like eating cardboard. Opt for the mushroom ravioli, which I see on the reviews that everyone loves! It was delicious. My main concern is that this is a town of mostly older folks and background non-verbal music fits this type of restaurant and town, rather than loud words. How can we hear our seat mates? Be prepared when you receive your check that the owner will let you know the next party has arrived to take your table. Good thing we didn't order apps or salads.

Karly K.

Yelp
This was our last meal before leaving Sun Valley and we are so glad we experienced Cookbook! It was very last minute as we were originally on the Resy waitlist, but one of the owners, Vita, called us the day of to inform us that a table opened up. She was incredibly kind, understanding, and patient since we had to change our party size a few times. If you're looking for an intimate dining experience, look to this place! You will feel like you're in someone's home from the moment you get out of your car. They only have ~4 tables and, therefore, the service attention is all on you. The staff is unbelievably kind, attentive, and quick! The owner, Burke, even came by a few times to check on us throughout our meal. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the restaurant and why they named it 'Cookbook'. I cannot recommend this place enough as you can clearly see the passion, love, and gratitude on everyone's faces to serve you. The food is made with love and detail and the ambiance is full of joy. There are literally shelves filled with cookbooks to keep you entertained and Burke explained to us that they actually own those cookbooks -- he gifted each one to his wife every year. Overall, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem of Sun Valley. We thoroughly enjoyed the Curry-Butternut Squash soup with their homemade bread, the Dover Sole, and the 7-layer cake to name a few. Everything was spectacular! Thank you, Cookbook, for an amazing experience -- we felt a part of your family and left with very full bellies!!

Yelp
Yelp did not disappoint with this place. I got the mushroom ravioli (big big win) and my husband got the BBQ pork ribs special. Both were delicious, service was awesome, and we left very very happy.
google avatar

Jared S.

Yelp
We had a truly special night here. Outdoor seating is closest thing to perfection I can imagine. Menu is just the right size. Service was impeccable, and food was spectacular.

Ester F.

Yelp
Made a 8pm reservation and since it's a small space and sometimes people linger, they needed 10 more min to set up. So they brought out chairs to sit on the patio (was not set up for summer yet). We liked it so much we asked if we could just stay outside. Our meal was amazing- meatballs, trout, cauliflower, vodka pasta with house pork sausage and a pizza- EVERYTHING was really good. And a great wine recommendation with gracious service. This place is a gem. We will be back!

Gene S.

Yelp
Rip off!! Totally minuscule portions for a lot of money! Here's our $14 beet salad and our $20 pizza and our $10 cake.
google avatar

Antonio G.

Yelp
Great experience!!!!! The nicest people and great ambience Food is really interesting, starters are amazing, haloumi, calamari and clam plate is outstanding Pizza dough is simply perfecto!!!!! Great place will return 100%
google avatar

Yelp
I have tried to order from Cookbook on multiple occasions, but they never have the capacity to handle to go orders. I finally ordered online ahead of time and was called about 15 mins prior to pickup where they told me they didn't have the items for half my order. I ordered at 3:30pm & pickup was for 6pm. I find that absolutely ridiculous and will not support this business in the future.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
My wife and I gave this place a try on a long weekend stay in Sun Valley. Looks like this place is pretty popular because we just showed up on a Thursday night in July, and the hostess acted like a reservation would be needed. However, she checked and there had been a cancellation, so we were seated immediately! We were not disappointed. I got the BBQ pork ribs over the mashed potatoes. It was very good. The pork fell right off the bone and the sauce was tangy and delicious. The potatoes needed a little salt, and the pork was a just a smidge too dry, but still very good. My wife loved her wild mushroom ravioli. I had a bite, and it was indeed excellent. All in all, an enjoyable meal. Would return!

Yelp
My family usually likes to have one nice dinner on our vacations, and for this trip we chose to go to Cookbook. Thank god we did. The staff here were super nice and welcoming. They made sure to explain the menu and were willing to make accommodations with food restrictions. I got the Spaghetti Squash with Bolognese as my entrée, and the Habiki Shot as a dessert. My Spaghetti Squash was amazing, as the squash was cooked perfectly and the bolognese was seasoned well and full of meat. They also gave me the perfect portion. My dessert was also definitely worth getting. It was a small serving of dark chocolate pudding, made with a little bit of Japanese whiskey, and sea salt on the top. With a price of only $23 for my whole dinner, I 10/10 recommend coming here if you are ever in Ketchum, ID. Probably one of the best dinners I have had.

Yelp
We had such a fabulous experience at this restaurant tonight that we decided to come back to eat tomorrow night as well so my sister and her husband could enjoy the delicious food! The owners are charming, the ambience was perfect, and the food was divine!!

Yelp
We ordered take out for our family of 6. It was ready on time and delivered right to our car in the parking lot. The food was fresh and well-made, but like a few other reviewers, I felt the serving sizes were notably small (especially for the price). The tasty pizzas were definitely "personal" size - one of my teen boys ate the entire thing in under 8 minutes. I got a very nice grain/veggie bowl (called P&G) that was almost skimpy -- even with the addition of $6 worth of spinach. The restaurant could be a great choice if you were not super hungry - or not an active teenager.

Yelp
Service was friendly but pretty non-existent and slow. Pizzas looked great but did not taste great - the flying pig was super dry because it came without sauce and the margherita tasted like an average frozen pizza. Very limited drink options - just wine and sparkling water. Corn chowder soup and heart beet salads were good. Meyer salad was okay, but I expected it to be larger for the price. Mushroom ravioli was pretty good, but it came out luke warm and the sauce was incredibly thin. Roasted chicken breast entree was okay but could have used some type of sauce because it was a bit dry with the polenta side. Maybe we didn't pick the best dishes, but I would skip this place if back in the area.

Yelp
Great addition to the restaurant scene in Ketchum. Italian based with many delicious options and simple menu with outstanding results. Certainly on the short list for a week in Ketchum! Vita and Burke are we wonderful owners and hosts.

Yelp
Avoid At any cost! When the owner says 'The Customer isn't always right" and is repeatedly rude and snippy, it's a quick reminder that we all work too hard for our money to put up with attitude, abuse and arrogance. There are soooo many other restaurants in town that are better and appreciate the customer.
