Where To Have Brunch With Friends Who Are Always Late - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Drive by the Cumberland Copeland’s on a weeknight, and you might see a tumbleweed in the parking lot. But their weekend brunch buffet consistently brings a crowd with people lining up outside before it opens. Since we know damn well our friend who claims they left 20 minutes ago is still in bed, we like to get a headstart on the buffet line that snakes through the dining area. They’ve got all the breakfast favorites, including jambalaya pasta, oysters, and an omelet station with toppings like shrimp and jalapeños. If etiquette won’t allow you to eat without your crew, pass the time with mimosas or a heavy-handed Hurricane instead." - nina reeder, juli horsford

The Best Creole & Cajun Restaurants In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Drive by the Cumberland Copeland’s on a weeknight, and you might see a tumbleweed in the parking lot. But their weekend brunch buffet consistently brings a crowd with people lining up outside before it opens. The buffet line snakes through the dining area and has all the breakfast favorites (don’t skip out on the biscuits and gravy), including an omelet bar with toppings like shrimp and jalapeños. But we’re here for the oysters and the jambalaya pasta with a nice kick. And no NOLA brunch is complete without a mimosa or a Hurricane, and Copeland delivers there, too. For under $40 per person, the amount of tasty food choices and heavy seafood offerings feel a bit unreal, so contain yourself, ya heard?" - nina reeder, juli horsford, demarco williams

The atmosphere was amazing. Copeland's decor reflects its New Orleans origins. Our server was amazing, constantly checking in to make sure that we were okay. I cannot say enough about how delicious the biscuits are and how much I appreciated receiving one even though I ordered pasta.

Came to Copeland’s for dinner, it was a nice experience. They have lots of different options. I ordered the chargrilled oyster, alligator bites, as an appetizer. Entrée I ordered was stuff lobster grilled catfish with a loaded baked potato and broccoli. and my friend had the Fried catfish, red beans and rice.

I loved Copelands until I came to this location. I do not live near one, so when I have the opportunity, I will go. I must say, time has done this place in. It is outdated and drab looking. The server was nice, but the food was sub par. Both appetizers were below room temperature. The Shrimp Etoufee was room temperature and yucky. The shrimp were those little shrimp used in some pasta salads. I never had shrimp that small in my dish before. I would not recommend.

Our server was doing everything and no help we had over 20 people from my work. I felt very sorry for her. She tried and all the food was messed up. It took forever just to get my cranberry ginger ale. All our food was wrong. They need better communication and more servers for a huge party of over 20!

Server was top notch. Food was okay. It was a Sunday for dinner. My chargrilled oysters were raw. The bread for the artichokd dip was not good. That was 1st time I didnt enjoy my food. Going to stick to brunch menu moving forward.

First and foremost, I ate here years ago and it was pleasant for a to go order but here I am now excited to try it for dine in and realized I made a huge mistake. Pros- seated immediately Cons- very slow service from our server Sebastian…. I got the seafood platter and upgraded the fries to Mac and cheese for a $1. First of all, that Mac and cheese came out COLD. I asked for a new one in which they slapped it in the microwave for probably about 5 minutes to the point when it was brought back out it tasted like buttered noodles and the top layer of cheddar cheese was hard and scorched! The seafood platter came with crab cake with the option be fried or broiled…. I wasn’t asked which I preferred they just put it in for fried and it came out with some type of sauce on top that was never even mentioned to me. And I understand fried foods are going to have grease but the hush puppies that came on my plate were disgustingly greasy Also, my wife ordered a soup as an appetizer that never even came all because Sebastian wanted to take our orders without writing anything on paper. Servers- you can not remember everything, let’s bring back pencil and paper please. For the restaurant to have not been busy I was pretty disappointed in the service and how the food came out. I will not be back here. Way to ruin date night.

Been here several times but lately for lunch for my grandma birthday. The service was great. Food came out correct and hot. New menu item since my last visit and it was the sautéed crab claws in a butter sauce was soooo good. Always a good time when I visit and great prices
