Coppelia - Review - Chelsea - New York - The Infatuation

"We were pretty fired up about Coppelia when it opened. A latin-themed diner from the good people behind Infatuation favorites Yerba Buena and Toloache? Sign us up. Sadly, we weren't overly impressed the first time we went. Neither were we on the second, third, fourth or fifth. We keep coming back though, despite not being blown away by the food. Here's why. Coppelia is CHEAP. We're not talking affordable by NYC standards, we're talking cheap in Des Moines, Iowa. The majority of the menu clocks in under $10 which makes it possible to eat like a king and get a beer for under $20. Being that it is so cheap, it's hard to hate on the food all that much. You could be doing a lot worse. Coppelia's pedigree almost works against them because we hold Yerba Buena in such high regard. However, we need to keep in mind that this is just a diner. And if this was a random diner we stumbled into knowing nothing about, we'd have found a diamond in the rough. Another reason we're cool with Coppelia is because it's open 24 hours. This may be the city that never sleeps, but when it's 4am and you need to eat, there really aren't that many solid options. This is one of them. Additionally, Coppelia is centrally located between the West Village, Chelsea and Meatpacking making it convenient anytime you're on the West side. More importantly, the best part about Coppelia is that it's right next door to one of our favorite establishments in NYC - The Donut Pub. Skip dessert and go for a black & white cookie. You can thank us later. Food Rundown Huevos Rancheros/Huevos Coppelia They have a tendency to overcook the eggs at Coppelia, therefore drying out the entire dish. Both the Huevos Rancheros and Huevos Coppelia suffered a similar fate, as did the omelette we got on the following trip. Maybe it's the Latin way, but we don't like our eggs dry like the desert. Get something else off the all day breakfast menu. Home Made Ricotta Waffles Solid. We enjoyed these light, airy waffles. Nachos One of our favorite things here, we've ordered the nachos every time we've visited. Made with chihuahua cheese, black beans, jalapeño, and chopped beef short ribs, this is fun for the whole table. Empanadas The empanadas are one of the highlights of the menu and definitely warrant investing some stomach real estate towards. Our two favorites are the Oxtail Empanada and the Sweet Corn and Chicken Empanada. Cubano Sandwich Nothing wrong with this guy. There's a nice ratio of roasted pork with ham, swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard. Order it. Frita Cubana Burger This is a very good and unique burger. However, the description - roast pork, chicharron, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles - sound way better than it is. It's kind of a mess and hard to eat. Ropa Vieja This Cuban classic is one of Coppelia's most popular orders. For good reason, too. Dessert Another reminder to go next door and get the black and white cookie at The Donut Pub." - Andrew Steinthal

The Best Late Night Food In NYC

"Coppelia is a Latin diner in Chelsea and it may not be your first choice in the neighborhood at 8pm—but when it’s super late and everything is closed, this spot suddenly feels like one of the best restaurants in the city. Grab a stool at the long counter or a booth if you’re with a group, and have some early-morning arroz con pollo, ropa vieja, or huevos rancheros. The Cubano—with the ideal ratio of roasted pork, ham, and swiss—is another solid choice. You can get one at 5am, because this place is open 24 hours." - willa moore, will hartman, neha talreja, bryan kim, sonal shah

The Best Late-Night Food in New York City

"Hours: 24/7 Coppelia, a Cuban diner, has been open round-the-clock in Chelsea for more than a decade. The menu has Mexican and Cuban dishes, like chilaquiles and Cubanos, plus diner staples. The food is affordable with most dishes priced around $15." - Luke Fortney, Robert Sietsema

32 Restaurants Where You Can Eat In Your Gym Clothes

"Your friend convinced you to try that JumpRopeBodyFit class on ClassPass and the teacher yelled at you with an extremely shrill voice the entire time. You need to feed yourself well, and would be wise to consider Coppelia, 24-hour Latin diner on 14th Street. It’s extremely casual, but serves dishes a little more interesting than your standard diner eggs, pancakes, and a kind-of-weird Cobb salad. Huevos Rancheros for dinner are a good idea." - bryan kim, hillary reinsberg, matt tervooren

I came here for brunch because it was highly recommended. Service is good and the drinks were phenomenal. It's first come first served and even though my large party was late they were able to see us all together by the grace of gods. The food itself was just okay. The steak from the steak and eggs was basic. The chicken was really tasty from the chicken and waffles. The other dishes lacked some flavor which was a bit disappointing although they were good. I may return but mainly to try other dishes as this place was rated pretty highly by others.

Excellent food a bit loud but great menu. Open 24 hours. And they celebrate birthdays with a store wide song!

The flavors were impressive. The MAC & CHICHARRON was a real standout. It looked like a calorie bomb but tasted just as amazing. The little pieces of meat inside were tasty. They were a bit salty but paired really well with the macaroni. The pork skin added a satisfying crunch. The CAMARONES CIENFUEGOS was another highlight. The quinoa had a firmer texture than regular white rice, but it matched the seasoning of the dish really well. The portion balance between the dish and the quinoa was just right, making sure every bite was flavorful. The CHURRASCO was solid as well. The beef was a little dry, but the seasoning helped make up for it. As for the Mexican soda, it tasted pretty similar to regular soda. I ordered it just out of curiosity. If you are not particularly interested in trying something different, regular soda will do just fine. The restaurant had a lively, energetic vibe that made the experience even better. I would definitely come back.

Google
Such a great place the vibes are fantastic. This place is a great diner with so many options. Would highly recommend the oxtail empanada. The chicken and waffles was super interesting (the chicken is marinated in tea) but by the end was a bit too sweet (though the waffle was perfect). Same with the Cubano it was good but missing a bit of pickle forwardness. Would definitely go back to try more things because everything looked good and interesting.

Google
The only highlight was the oxtail empanadas—they were genuinely delicious and packed with flavor even though one of the orders was missing the green sauce. Everything else was a disappointment. The skirt steak was overly fatty and unpleasant to eat, and the rice and beans that accompanied it were bland. The lomo saltado, which I was really looking forward to, lacked seasoning, it just didn’t deliver. On a positive note, the service was excellent. Still, great service can only do so much when the food doesn’t measure up. I wouldn’t come back—even if Rihanna recommended it.

Google
This restaurant is an absolute banger, no other way to describe it. Open 24 hours, standard prices with out of this world lomo saltado. Had the calamari (very solid) and the oxtail (sauce was delicious), this restaurant should be in everyone’s rotation. Cuban diner vibes with a large bar. Go there!

Google
10/10, went with my partner for brunch and honestly the best 24/7 brunch we've ever had! White sangria was perfect, mac n chicharron and mofongo were delicious and large servings , pancakes were a lil dry but still delicious and omelette was great just needed a lil more TLC ( request more veggies and peppers if you don't want it to be to simple). Definitely coming back

🌙✨ Late-night cravings? SOLVED. Coppelia, located at 207 W 14th St in NYC, is a 24-HOUR CUBAN DINER that absolutely slaps. No other way to describe it — this place is a certified banger. 🔥🇨🇺 Started off with their Oxtail Empanada and let me tell you… WOW. The sweet plantain dough? Magic. Braised oxtail melting inside, topped with crema, queso fresco, pico de gallo, and a little salsa verde action? Just chef’s kiss. 💥💚 Then came the Lomo Saltado — unbelievably tender, salty, slightly sweet, and available 24/7 (yes, seriously). Perfectly cooked beef meets lightly caramelized crunchy French fries, bone-dry rice, and that savory, stewed tomato sauce that hits every comfort button. 🥩🍅🍟 Coppelia is a Cuban diner with a big, beautiful bar and vibes for days. Whether it’s 2PM or 2AM, this spot should be in everyone’s NYC food rotation. 🚨 Go. There. Now. 🚨 #CoppeliaNYC #CubanFood #LomoSaltado #EmpanadaGoals #LateNightEats #NYCFoodie #24HourSpot

Yelp
the food was incredible, they brought it out extremely fast, and the restaurant was great to hangout in

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in this city. Walked past on a late night after a concert (2am) and was happy to have a meal at that hour. Recently went back and had the Hash de Costilla while my partner had the Pepito (I think?) with yuca fries. I've been thinking about the tenderness of the short ribs in that hash ever since. The funniest moment- I asked for some kind of hot sauce to add some heat to the hash, and the look on the staff's face told me everything I needed to know LOL!! Their house-made hot sauce is so delicious and HOT. I can handle it, but my poor partner started choking so just a heads up!

Yelp
I was here on a business lunch. Hole in the wall for sure. Had a retro feel to it like I was back in Miami for a bachelor party. Service was pretty good once you got their attention. Very authentic. Cubano was on the dry side but still good. I ended up finishing the other half on the plane home.

Yelp
This restaurant has always been my go-to place because it's open 24 hours a day! Yes, you read that right! My husband and I went to eat at Coppelia last night, and it was a fantastic experience. The service was good, they played good music, and the lighting was perfect. For an appetizer, I ordered my favorite, the oxtail empanadas, for myself and my husband. He loved it!! That is my favorite appetizer. I have been going to Coppelia for years, and it still tastes the same. I ordered my favorite churrasco steak with chimichurri sauce, which came with sweet plantains, Brussels sprouts, and rice. It was delicious! I was kicking my little feet with joy. The steak was so juicy and tender. My husband ordered chicken and waffles, and it was good. The chicken was fried to perfection, and the sauce they served was very flavorful. We ordered red and white sangria. It was sweet but very good. If you're looking to have a good time and some good food and drinks, Coppelia is definitely the place--and it's open 24/7!!!

Yelp
24 hour Cuban diner. Really really great size portions. I got the special with green plantains, short rib. The sauce was just good amount of cake. Short ribs or huge portions, easily pulled apart very good. If you do get sandwich, make sure you get the plantains which are the Maduros crispy sweet charred well. a really great spot on the west side and reasonably priced. Got busy as it got later, pretty crowded place with good music

Yelp
City was incredibly busy and lucky for us this place was open 24hrs and had great service and food that hit the spot for a late nite craving! We stopped in on a Saturday nite around 11pm , it was super busy but we were seated within 5 minutes so i wasn't complaining at all haha. We started with Reina Pepiada , cold filling made of shredded chicken, mayo & avocado with a side of spicy fries. Let must just say this was really good and filling, and the fries were extra spicy which i loved! We also got the Ropa Vieja, which is slow cooked shredded beef braised in tomato salsa, onions, peppers, tomatoes, rice and beans. The dish had great flavor and the meat was very tender and cooked perfectly. Really enjoyed our late nite dinner here and the vibe is great too ! If you're in the area give them a try just be sure to keep in mind it gets busy but it's worth it !

Yelp
Wow, for a restaurant that is run 24 hours a day, I was super surprised at the high quality food options here. We ordered the Lomo Saltadao, Ropa Vieja, and brussels sprouts to share and found everything to be hearty and delicious. Getting seated was really easy on a weekday night for us and service was fast and friendly. Would definitely love to come here in the early morning sometime after some drinks to see the reasoning for 24 hour service!

Yelp
Top notch place, had a great time. The server was measured, pleasant, and professional. We has media noche, pernil, yuca, ropa vieja, maduros, tsotones and, flan. The ambiance was great for a 24h diner and decorated in the spirit. I appreciate you can wash your hands without entering the restroom.

Yelp
A restaurant in nyc that serves food 24 hours a day! Yay! We came here last night late and hungry, but because it was so late we shared an appetizer and the limo saltado. I've had limo saltado before so I know how good it is, but they made theirs with short rib which was soooo so flavorful!!! It was a little salty but other than that it tasted so good. The meat was super tender and the flavors mixed together well. We also ordered the oxtail empanadas. These were good also but I barely tasted the oxtail and mainly tasted sweet plantain. The restaurant is cute and has a diner feel. Service was good but at the end our waiter didn't come back for a while so we were there for longer than expected.

Yelp
24 hour ?!? after a night out painting the town red, i had such a great time resting my feet and eating some currassco w/ rice and beans and maduros The music was like we were still out clubbing and the service was amazing! Def will return again.
google avatar

Yelp
Couldn't leave the city without having Coppelia again! Came in around 9pm on a Tuesday and it was busy but service and everything was still great! I had the steak with chimichurri which was delightful and perfectly cooked (for a medium rare girly) and was huge omg! The people there are so nice and accommodating. I really have yet to have a bad time here. It is pricy for sure but for everything else that comes with it, I might even say its a steal.
google avatar

Natalie T.

Yelp
I can't believe a place like this is 24/7! The interior is so vibrant with a full bar. Our waiter was the best, and the food and drinks did not miss at all! We ordered the Lomo asaltado (amazing), the Cuban sandwich (so so good), the Mac and chicharron, and the key lemon pie. It was a bit tart which is the only way this pie should be made as the merengue balanced it out and made the flavors pop in your mouth. I am DEFINITELY coming back- they have so many menu options and I'd like to try breakfast next time!
google avatar

Yelp
Its always a good time for some delicious Cuban cuisine! The vibrant atmosphere is especially lively in the evenings. The fantastic old-school wooden bar, offers a great balance of an intimate yet relaxed ambiance, perfect for date night, girls night, or any night. Seating options also include cozy tables that accommodate small and large parties alike, with outdoor seating available in the warmer months. I opted for the coco mojitos, which were undeniably strong and delicious, though a tad on the pricey side. The service was exceptionally friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. The menu showcases a variety of Cuban classics with options for vegetarians, and meat eaters. Best part is they are open all night.

Yelp
I've been to Coppelia multiple times, and it rarely disappoints! This visit was no exception. We started with the Tequeños and Frito Mixto as appetizers, and they were absolutely delicious. The Tequeños were perfectly crispy on the outside with warm, gooey cheese inside. The Frito Mixto was a delightful mix of fried goodness, bursting with flavors and textures. For our mains, we had the Reina Pepiada Arepa and the Chicken Fried Steak. The Reina Pepiada Arepa was phenomenal - a perfect blend of creamy avocado and tender chicken, all wrapped in a warm arepa. It was filling and flavorful, truly a standout dish. While the Chicken Fried Steak wasn't the best I've had here, it was still decent. Considering my previous experiences with their food have always been really good, I can overlook this slight miss. Coppelia consistently delivers on taste and quality, making it one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Coppelia for anyone looking for a great meal with excellent service. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
A 24hr Cuban Diner! COUNT ME IN! This wonderful gem is located in the middle of West Village! It's a bustling diner, with many seats, booths, and a bar. I was worried that it was going to be very loud on a Saturday night, but it really wasn't bad at all! I could still have my convo and listen to the great music! As for the food: 1. Milanesa torta: Amazing! So much food! 2. Chicken Fried Steak: Great! But they found too many pieces of bone. 3. Fish Tacos + Fries: I ordered something on the appetizer menu as my full meal! This was DELICIOUS! I just wish it was bigger tacos, they were pretty small pieces, but still so worth it! Fries are good as well! I will definitely be back! Such a vibe at night, would be great after a late night out!
google avatar

Yelp
24/7 - a perfect late night indulgence. If you're even considering Coppelia, just do it! You won't regret it. I recommend a Cuban sandwich. It's a classic that they just get right. The bread is crisp and delicious with both shredded pork and ham inside. Check out their drink menu if you're so inclined. There's something for everyone! -TD

Yelp
I am telling you after a night of bar hopping in the village I am so happy we found this spot. Thank you Yelp! Imaging 3:40am a night of drinking and you're hungry thank you coppelia. So after having to wait about 12 min outside we finally got to sit at the bar and what would you do first after a night of drinking. Obviously grab another drink. They were fast cause the clock turns 4am on a Sunday no liquor getting poured, but they got us all with a minute to go amazing I loved my old fashion. In to the food. I had to try the beef empanadas. From the crust to the filling they were delicious crispy and flavors Were just stirring in my mouth. Then I got the LOMO SALTADO Baby amazing. I loved it from start to end from the tenderness of the short ribs the crispness of the peppers and onions. This felt like home cooking. This place is open 24/7 it was crowed it was packed it was loud at 4am on a Sunday morning. It was delicious and that's why they get 5 stars how many times have we all gone to a restaurant that late night the quality of the food just diminishes not here it felt as if no matter what time u walked in them door that food would be great. Thank you for the night cap and finishing off a great night out with great food and service l.

Lauren D.

Yelp
I've come here late-night with some friends after going to a dance event up the street-- so you know we had appetites! oh my good God their "Mac & Chicharron" is out of this world Good! It's mac & cheese with cheese atop the gooey deliciousness! 10 out of 5, would recommend it twice! The service was OK. It was super busy, but they did of mess up 2 out of my 8 friends' orders that night. Still, worth it for the mac & cheese. I also love that it's 24 hours for both drinks AND food!

Yelp
Lovely restaurant with great service. They are very knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac friendly items on the menu. I wish they had vegetarian gluten free empeñadas! But the fries were good

Yelp
Ropa vieja Steak and eggs Brussels sprouts This place is a landmark which never disappoints Stopped in for a quick lunch and everything is as tasteful and full of flavor as I remember Always a must try if your in the area And the cafe con leche is like the one Abuela use to make Priceless!!!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was cozy, friendly, bustling with energy, great food and surprisingly good seating pretty much anywhere - including outside. The Mojito and Gran Poloma were not just good but STRONG! Shrimp and grits were by far the best I've had and will be back to try some of the rest of this amazing menu
google avatar

Steffy A.

Yelp
Been her 2xs so far and it's great because it's a diner and you could have all 3 meals in a day here within a hour (not that I would) the chicken breast with quinoa rice was so tasty! Mojitos are well made! Not too crazy about the chicken fried steak but other than that I would go back to try different things on their menu.
google avatar

Olivia R.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! We got the sweet potato fries, lomo saltado, Ropa vieja, orange juice, mango juice, and a cappuccino. It was all sooo good. The juices were freshly squeezed and all of the dishes had so much flavor. The restaurant is super cute inside and there was no wait for lunch on a Saturday. The food came out quick and our server was on top of things. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Five Stars for a Village location Cuban place - 4 stars if compared to uptown more authentic Cuban or Dominican places. Everything we had was good and authentic: the cubano had been "pressed" to grill, and had enough pickles (an essential element for me). The yucca fries were fine. Make sure to ask for extra garlic sauce for both. The cafe con leche was also spot on - a bit too thick and slightly bitter but in an addictive way. Everyone looked very happy with their choices. The outdoor seating was quite nice.

Yelp
Nice spot Cuban diner open 24/7. The waiter was super friendly and accommodating but we always had to track him down via busboy or food runner. I mean it was a bit ridiculous as he had like six tables in the section, but was never around. On to the food. Guacamole was delicious. They give you an assortment of chips and plantain chips, which was a nice bonus. The garlic shrimp, and the chicken flauta were both a little little dry in my opinion. I would pass next time. For lunch I had the flank steak torta sandwich with fresh cheese and avocado. It was delicious spot on. I would definitely get it again. My friends both got a chicken dish over rice, which they both loved. If in the area I would definitely go back I would just sit in another section or at the bar counter.
google avatar

Yelp
Return visit and did not disappoint. The friendly staff and ambiance make you want to return again! The drinks and food were once again flavorful and plentiful. No rushing and great attentiveness will keep me recommending and returning when I am in the zone.

Yelp
Food (1.5/2): Had come here several times and was a fan of their lomo saltado. This was definitely the highlight of our dishes in this place. Smoky flavor along with the reminiscent soy and oyster sauce as you chew to ultra-tender shirt rib--absolutely sublime. On the other hand, the rest of our orders were not as memorable--shrimp and grits was ok. Churrasco was standard, though the meat was tender. Their challah french toast was also mixed; great bread but rather standard toppings that came along with it. Service/wait-time/cleanliness (1/2): Service was largely great though we had a mishap on our challah french toast where we wanted a certain topping but was given a different one. While we understand we were the one at fault, our attendant was rather curt with their rebuttal. Wait-time is also rather slow, though I'm uncertain if it was due to their constantly-packed place or because they're just slow? Cleanliness was also ok as I spotted some food debris on my seat. Small and manageable but would've preferred they actually clean those stuff. Price (1/1): Given their price and portion and quality, it was definitely worth it for the lomo saltado. It is rather unfortunate that some of their dishes are somewhat hit and miss, along with their service.

Yelp
This place gets five stars for being the neighborhood go to late night spot with VARIETY. Used to come here and get Cuban sandwiches with friends late night and people watch. Always a good time here and great conversations with interesting people. Nice vibe and good service for the area and time.

Yelp
I've wanted to try Coppelia for some time now, sister to Cuba and Toloache; two restaurants that I adore and are go tos for Cuban food. I wanted a warm lunch today due to a really cold fall day. Coppelia offers everything from lechon, baked chicken, desayuno all day..to just about everything a Cuban kitchen can produce. I ordered the Chicken soup, yucca fries and arroz con frijoles negros. The delivery was a little late and the sweat of the yucca fries went through delivery bag, otherwise , everything was packaged securely. Here's what my tastebuds went through: 1. Yucca fries: delicious, just a tad hard but yucca is a bit denser than regular potatoes, I think. The mojo sauce was great and tangy for dipping. 2. Chicken soup: absolutely delicious, abundant chicken, potatoes, noodles, carrots and a hint of cilantro. The broth was delicious and piping hot. Perfect for a cold day. 3. Rice and black beans: I was so full from soup and fries that I saved it for a meal tomorrow. I know portions vary from restaurant to restaurant. However, $6 for rice and beans is a steal and the portion is abundant. Compared to other places in Soho where a side of rice is $6 and side of beans is $6. I plan to visit Coppelia in person for a future meal due to being near Village Vanguard. So far, if you work near 14th Street definitely visit them. In Soho, Cuba is on Thompson Street and Toloache is in the West 50's. I highly recommend all! * this review is for delivery only

Yelp
Literally the best Cuban American food with lovely service. It has a vibrant vibe and a great selection of Cuban classics. We are locals and so pleased that they survived the pandemic. It's a perfect restaurant to unwind and have a good time with your friends.

Yelp
Late Night Cravings! A friend and I came here on a Thursday close to Midnight. As soon as we walked in we were seated and greeted. There were only a few tables empty and by the time we placed our order it was a packed house. Our waiter come over shortly to take our order. For my cocktail I went with the Matador (essentially a spicy margarita). Spicy it was, strong it was not. For my meal I had the Salmon with purple mash.... It was sooooo good! Salmon was cooked medium as requested and the purple mash was bomb! I should've took a before and after picture of my plate LOL. Coppelia is a solid choice for all of your Cuban food cravings. They also serve breakfast all day! Win Winnnn!!

Yelp
went here for brunch and loved the massive menu. so many options that take us far away from the basic benedict's/omelette/etc that you find at soooo many brunch spots in nyc. really unique and the decor was gorgeous! i love when a restaurant embodies a complete vibe, in terms of food and music and decor; Coppelia does this well. i had a cuban coffee and huevos rancheros - both were divine and my friend told me the pancakes were delicious too. prices were honestly impressively low, and i'm excited to go here again!! only -1 star because the server we had wasn't very attentive and wasn't familiar with the menu. hopefully she was just new and getting used to things; i'm excited to come back and give this place 5 stars next time! ps pls ignore my puffy eyes in this photo i was incredibly hungover

Yelp
Let's say it's 2am, you have the drunchies, and nothing sounds better than scarfing down chilaquiles, lemon ricotta pancakes, a torta, and maybe another gin & tonic. The beauty of living in this city is that you can satisfy those cravings with this 24 hour Cuban diner. Many 24 hour and late night restaurants have scaled back their hours but Coppelia remains an around the clock option. It's always in my back pocket when I need a late night meal while in Chelsea, and that need struck on a recent summer evening. There was a short ~20 min wait for a table for 3 on a Monday night, so I imagine it's that much busier on a Friday or Saturday night, so plan accordingly. I've enjoyed their fish tacos, gambas al ajillo, empanadas, and rice and beans. I'm always starving when I'm here so that has definitely amped up the flavors in my memory. The kitchen was a little slow on a busy night, but beggars can't be choosers, and if we weren't so spoiled for choice in NY Coppelia would be one of the best restaurants around.

Yelp
Was looking for a brunch place that I can't experience at home in AZ (there's like no Cuban there!). This fit the bill! Large menu with a great selection of breakfast items and traditional Cuban dishes, plus a large drink menu/full bar. Although it was busy we got seated right away. Our server was attentive. We ordered shrimp and grit and one of the specials...I can't remember the name (doh!) but it was basically ropa vieja with rice and beans, grilled sweet plantains, avocado, and an egg. Both were super yummy! We also ordered a Gram Paloma and a Mojito - nice and strong and delicious! Overall super nice brunch.

Yelp
Ordered the churrasco and the steak was very tender and flavorful. The dish came with rice and maduros so it gets you very full! I went on a weeknight and there was no wait. Service is fast. The mocktails are half the price of the alcoholic drinks- great value! The inside is spacious with a dark and relaxing ambiance. Accessible to lots of trains!

Yelp
They have amazing food with many options to choose from on their menu. They have an extensive selection to choose from at the bar. It was clean and the service was excellent.

Yelp
Cute "neighborhood" restaurant fashioned like a diner but serving Latin food. This was delicious and exactly what I was looking for when I was craving Cuban food. Mofongo con Costilla (mashed green plantains, mojo, braised beef in sofrito)

Yelp
I've been here 3 times and never again. Shouldn't even have gone back after that first time. All 3 visits were late night and every single time we would get food poisoning.. multiple people. Maybe they reuse the oil throughout the day I have no clue but I've also seen other reviews of people experiencing the same thing

Yelp
Walk-in only restaurant. They do not take reservations. However, walked in at 6:15 on a Tuesday and was seated immediately, so not bad at all. The space is extremely tight and the tables are very close together. I almost got stuck in between two tables when I was trying to get to my seat. Got a mango cocktail and a Cubano. Both were delicious. The cubano's bread was super crispy, which was great. The serving at this place is also huge. The table next to us got the short rib and it looked amazing--hoping to get that next time!

Yelp
Super charming restaurant with 12 years of experience under their belt. So many creative details to create a fabulous ambience. Beautiful artwork everywhere! Even the bathroom has clever details! The juevos rancheros were divine and so was the milk shake. The Brussels sprouts were a little too raw but the presentation was lovely. Service was friendly and fast given how many customers there were!

Yelp
This place is amazing. First of all, they're 24 hours, so stop by any time of the day/night, and second, the food is amazing. Definitely one of my new favorites. I grabbed dinner and drinks here with an old coworker. She's been here many times and raved about it. Every item was a hit in her book, and they serve breakfast 24/7! The margaritas are strong, so take that as you may. Only downside is that they have just one bathroom, which can get pretty dicey after 3 margaritas.

Yelp
The concept is amazing. The execution is not there. The ropa vieja was the same price as double barbacoa at Chipotle and contained maybe 1/4 the amount of meat. I was sifting through the salty, watery sauce at the end wondering how it all went so wrong.

Yelp
Authentic Spanish food, service is always very good. Has a bar/restaurant feel, with music & intimate lighting, order a mojito & enjoy some tasty food

Yelp
Stopped by 10 am on a Friday for breakfast. Was empty with just a few guest but smelled good immediately as I walked in. The food was really good. Amazing flavor and the short rib was so soft. Perfect omelette flavorful potatoes. Cafe con leche!!!!!! You can expect great food and reasonable prices. I'll be back.

Yelp
Cute & small inside. I like that it's open 24 hours. The 1st meal that I got I wasn't a big fan of the oxtail so I sent it back but if the oxtail was cooked differently it would've been really good to me. The second meal I tried was good when eaten all together but the shrimp wasn't seasoned.

Yelp
I have been a long time customer of Coppelia. It has always had delicious food, fantastic drinks and a fun atmosphere. It can get pretty busy at times. Just after the pandemic, the food could be hit or miss. But, when I went today it was fantastic and back to its normal self! We got the nachos which are always very special there and we also got the octopus/ chorizo sandwich which was fantastic. I ordered I'm margarita that is made with Tamarindo and it was fantastic drink. I'm happy to see that Coppelia is back to its former self. I plan to come again and again

Yelp
Got recommended this spot from a local and it did not disappoint. I will initially say that the menu is quite diverse with a variety of food with emphasis on Cuban cuisine. They also offer dishes like pancakes, omelette and other American breakfast plates. We started off with some awesome margaritas. Feeling a craving for meat we got both the steak frites and churrasco. We also ordered shrimp tacos. The steaks were very tender. The food was amazing. Service was very friendly and prices were reasonable for the area. I would definitely return to try more of the Cuban food.

Yelp
Always end up here when I'm in the city. Never do I regret coming in. At first, I was supposed to eat at Chelsea Market, but then it was crazy busy!!! I do not believe in waiting any longer than an hour just to get something to eat. Especially when there are many options. Coppelia was only a 5 minute drive from the Highline. They changed the front entrance to some heavy sliding doors, I guess for the cold. It was busy but we were seated right away. Near the front, since the back was packed. They had heaters inside, so that was useful. However, you still felt the wind coming in from the windows and doors. I saw a lady shivering as she ate by the window. Service was a little slow, which I expected for a busy night, but they were very attentive! I got the Rabo Enchilado, which was amazing!! Definitely, give you that home cooked meal feeling. It was sweet with all the peppers and sauce added on top, but nonetheless delicious. It came with a side of rice and beans. Would definitely recommend going back here!

Yelp
Good food, Excellent service, with a very joyful ambiance. And the most important is open until late.
