TL;DR: I liked the Spa, the rooms and the food. They should put up more signs and clearer explanations to guide newcomers through the ski flow. I would recommend the stay for 2+ people, or ones with a car, otherwise options directly in the city are more practical.
The Copperhill is a beautiful hotel at the east of Åre. The location is 10 minutes away by car from Åre center, where the action will be at (skiing & nightlife). Without a car, transportation can become quite costly, as one Uber ride costs around 350 kr, while the local taxi was slightly more at 390 kr.
Although the hotel offered a shuttle service to Björnen with a connection bus to Åre (Skistar), the shuttle service was unreliable. Despite multiple confirmations, the shuttle failed to depart one morning, we were picked up late, and cars got stuck in the snow. Ultimately, Uber proved to be the only reliable transportation. Storing your skiing gear wasn't as straight forward either - the heated lockers are assigned per room number and i had to activate that feature at the reception.
The Spa was a nice retreat with a sufficient setup - a swimming pool, a relaxing warm pool, an inviting outdoor hot tub, and a Finnish sauna. A delightful surprise was the drink-friendly policy - there's something unexpectedly enjoyable about sipping a cold beer in the sauna. During my stay, kids were sometimes a little noisy, or the mid 20s a little chatty. If you're looking for some genuine downtime, timing is everything (open 06:00 - 20:00)
