If you enjoy whiskey or even if you're just whiskey-curious, Copperworks is an experience, not just a tasting room. We stopped in for a visit and Paul took care of us, and I’ve got to say, he made the whole thing feel like we were getting a private tour from someone who lives and breathes the craft. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and answered every question we tossed his way without ever making it feel like a lecture. We ordered a couple of flights, and the best part was being able to mix and blend different whiskey styles ourselves. It wasn’t just “sip and move on”, we actually got to play with flavor, compare notes, and build our own combinations. That alone made the visit memorable, but the whiskey itself sealed the deal. Rich and full of character, every pour had something interesting to say. What we appreciated most was that we never felt rushed. We were given time to explore, talk through the flavors, enjoy the moment, and just be there. It’s rare to find a place where the experience feels personal and unrushed, and Copperworks nailed it. Ethan led us through our whiskey tasting and standard tasting. He was amazing and patient. It was a wonderful break during our rainy walk around Seattle. Highly recommend.

*AMAZING*!!! Small, generally well liked by critics, but still *under-rated*! Their malts are *FANTASTIC*, complex, and distinctive! Flight price is taken off if you buy a bottle! Tasting room is an ideal mix of Elegant and Casual. Staff are super knowledgeable and insanely helpful (and efficient). They had a MOST EXCEPTIONAL "sherry bomb" from a 200 YO Sherry (Solara, I assume) cask that was slightly-tempting at $200 but I got the Red-Wine expression for about 1/3 the costs (after assuming "retail" on the flight). Oether Reviews noting "high" prices are not entirely wrong, but I have 9 bottles from a trip to Scotland, and I think they are "on par" with equivalent unusual bottleings!

On a day when heavy rain poured down, I decided to take shelter at a place I had been wanting to visit for quite some time. Inside, I found beautiful distillation equipment and a variety of spirits. I signed up for a whiskey tasting session and sat down to cleanse my palate with water before enjoying four different types of whiskey. It’s always such a delightful experience. I had brought along some Royce Chocolate, which paired wonderfully as I listened to the friendly explanations from Host Jack. It was a pleasant time, and I would recommend taking a break here during a busy travel schedule. For companions who are light drinkers, cocktails are available, though I didn’t check if there were non-alcoholic drinks for those who don’t drink at all. That’s something I wish I had looked into so I could share more helpful information!

Did the tour and tasting. Super affordable and exceeded my expectations. Friendly, personable staff who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your visit. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for something nearby to Pike Place that is both informative and tasty. Wanted to do the bottle your own whiskey session but this is a limited experience with select dates. Can’t wait to come back for this after experiencing the tour!

I had never seen it on prior trips to the area. Quant tasting room, not very busy and able to get full attention during the experience. Interesting tiny single malt distillery. During the tasting, we had some great conversations about the cocktail scene in Seattle and scored a few amazing recommendations. I was expecting the flight to have more of a Scotch profile but was pleasantly surprised with a sweet tasting profile. I enjoyed Release 50 and Single Cask 22-2 the most. You can’t go wrong with any of the options

Stopped by this distillery because it was near the big wheel in Seattle and honestly so glad we did. My boyfriend loved it he's a huge whiskey fan and there were different flights of whiskey and gin and some vodka selections. I am not the biggest fan of spirits straight but the workers were very informative and they tasted very different from one another. Service was amazing and ambiance was very cool

Found out about this distillery in downtown. It has a good location close to the Great Wheel. Copperworks is one of the local distilleries around. Has a tasting room with single pours, or flights. The selection is kind of limited, but what you get is high quality. A pretty good variety to choose from. It's distilled here next to the tasting room. They make gin, vodka, and whiskey. Has a few long tables inside. It's about $5 to get a pour. We had several, including the Single Cask Whiskey. Good stuff, and hard without being too strong. There's also entire bottles for sale if you want more than a sample of these. Cool location to get some freshly made booze. It's on Alaskan Way at University Street. They're open daily, but close pretty early in the evenings, even on weekends.

We stopped in to try some spirits and boy did we get a bunch. We got the whiskey flight and the gin flight. Since we basically ordered everything they have except the vodka they gave that to us as well. We had a lot of liquor to go through. My favorite was one of the whiskeys. It was smooth and easy to drink. Overall fun place to stop in and try some spirits.

Great service with a perfect ambiance makes for a great tasting experience. The plum gin is very nice.

Loved the ambiance of this place. Very laid back and casual. The service was great. We ordered the bourbon flight and the gin flight. My favorite gin was the plum gin. Everything else wasn't my speed BUT this is still a great place to try if you're in the area.

So I will admit, I am not a huge whiskey drinker, but it was a rainy Seattle Sunday afternoon and my husband and I had time to kill before catching a flight. He thoroughly enjoys whiskey so I thought that we could come here to do a tasting. He enjoyed his flight of four different whiskey while I branched out and decided to try their flight that contained their vodka, two gins, and one whiskey. I thoroughly enjoy vodka, but I do not enjoy gin unless it is in a cocktail - so this was not the most pleasurable experience for me. I thought that their vodka and the whiskey were quite tasty, but it's a hard pass on their gin for me. They do offer tours, but like I said, we were just there to try their product. The tasting room itself is small but cozy. And the service was nothing other than friendly and engaging.

Great experience! Stopped in on a Monday afternoon right before they closed (I hate people who do that...sorry!). The bartender was happy to help us out and explain everything about their spirits. We each did a flight and the product was great! My brother went home with a bottle - no small task because he has to fly out of the country with it. The tasting room was great and could fit several people of you went as a group. If you like whiskey, it's worth a stop!

$15 dollars will get you an amazing taste of three whiskeys. Each whiskey comes from a bottle worth $60-$100+ dollars. The water dropper allows to "open" up the flavors. The vibe here is super chill and friendly despite offering high quality and top shelf whisky. Not pretentious at all. If you're in the Emerald city and find this spot open, do it!! Taste the delicious flavors. Be careful, it's high octane and addictive.

We wandered in sort of by accident. We saw their sandwich board sign for tastings and tours and decided "what the heck! Let's see what this is all about!" We were not disappoint. We enjoyed their whiskey tasting, and got a great lesson on the distillary process. Our service was so friendly and accommodating. We felt like we were the only and most important people in Copperworks that day! It's definitely worth a drop in and a purchase!

Great stop! Extremely friendly staff happy to walk us through flights of both whisky and gin. Some truly delicious options there, and we ended up buying two bottles to take home. Some great variety here, highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I love Copperworks Distilling! We first came here for a tour of their facilities and a spirits tasting. They're very generous with their portions, and the guides are super knowledgeable about all things distilling! One of my favorite experiences in Seattle though was their whiskey blending workshop. I bought my boyfriend and me tickets as his birthday gift, and while it's a little on the pricier side, I think it was definitely worth it. It was a three hour experience where we started with a tasting of four different casks. We had unlimited chances to refill as we went, as the intention was to ultimately combine and blend them into a custom bottle! We were able to blend, pour, and label our own bottles to take home, and it was a super fun and unique experience. They even provided some food and snacks near the end. Would definitely recommend for any other whiskey lovers out there!

Such a cute little tasting room- where you are able to sit down, taste test different flavors of Gin, Whiskey and they have 1 Vodka. We decided to taste the Vodka it was very smooth and tasteful. Sad we missed the distillery tour- they have a 2pm and a 4pm tour on Saturdays and we walked in at 4:15pm. The staff was really knowledgeable and really nice and helpful. Overall it was a fun little experience. Highly recommended if you're in the area !

Stopped in with the intent on buying a bottle and bringing it back with me to Cali. Found out a flight is comped if you buy a bottle. Also found out, if you get it shipped, it's tax free from the outrageous Seattle spirit tax. It gets better, if you spend over a certain amount (2 bottles) it's free fedex shipping to Cali. Also, every bottle you buy, a flight it comped. So left after two free flights, two bottles on its way and a really good nightcap! Their Gin and Whiskey is really good. Also, their vodka is decent as well. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience as a investor. Cocktails were great, service was great. Lots of varieties of cocktails and you can purchase their specialty made distilled alcohol for reasonable prices! The bartender Thomas also is the master distiller and makes awesome drinks! Quick service, cocktails are a reasonable price! It was a packed house last night! Make sure you visit Copper Works in Seattle and Copper Works in Kenmore near Lake Washington! If you want to become an investor google Copper Works! Stopped here after going to the Seattle Aquarium. Had the gin whiskey and vodka flight. The bartender gentleman was very friendly and provided us information about Seattle. The flight was very good. Came during the tourist off-season so wasn't jam-packed. Thought this was of the best places we visited.

Very much enjoyed this place. Went to the location by waterfront piers. Did two tastings (gin and core). Gin: The standard gin was fair. Seemed to be more london dry in style. Smooth but by self was not something would drink straight (gin is my drink choice and I do enjoy sipping straight). The barrel aged gin was fantastic. Highly recommend this gin for those who tend to prefer whiskey or aged brandy as it encapsures the vanilla and caramel components from the barrel and really played well with their gin. The tonic barrel aged gin was crisp on the palate but had a lingering burn on the tongue and a bit more bitter after taste. The plum gin was a beautiful color and had a nice natural sweetness from the plums resting in their gin. Abv just under 30% on this one. Would be great mixer for home cocktail. Whiskey: quite tasty. This was a five grain whiskey on the flight. They have several other whiskeys though didn't sample. Vodka: A tremendous vodka. Very smooth with a softness to it which would mix well or be easy shot. It went down dangerously easy. Had a body to it, almost a soft vanilla character. I really enjoyed this spirit and would say this may have been my favorite of the lineup (which am normally not much of a vodka person). This is far far better than Grey goose, Titos, belvedere, so on and so forth.

Booked a distillery tour as well as whiskey tasting for my boyfriends birthday and it was a very cool experience and he loved it, neither of us could stop talking about how informative and great the experience was, he even found a new whiskey he really enjoys so we bought a bottle! highly highly recommend! Tour guide was funny and relatable and was very well educated on the process and their stills are beautiful!

Copperworks was a pleasant unexpected surprise. Our visit to a distillery in the center of the tourist area was the highlight of a whiskey intensive day. The facility is unique with a unique charm of the location and the customization of an urban space to a liqour producing distillery. The tour was interesting and the guide fabulous. We all enjoyed the tasting, the additional samples and took a couple of bottles home to extend the joy over time.

My husband and I came for a tour on our copper anniversary (7 years). The tour was amazing! Addison took the time to thoroughly answer all the questions and all the staff were very lovely to chat with. We are now big fans of Copperworks and bought 4 bottles to take home!

Was welcomed as an if an old friend, with greetings of interest and delight. The menu of spirits is their own making and the tasting tour was exceptional. Informative, relaxed, conversational. Several tastes were planned but he gave us a surprise...or two. A rather small space, comparatively, but I'm excited for the blends coming from those barrels. Filled my own bottle of #384. I will be back.​

Nice distiller! Actually the only one I've been to but I would say if you are walking around across the street or anywhere in the area then you have to stop by. Customer service was great and the whiskey was perfect and so was the gin. The plum gin was unique and I appreciated that so I bought a bottle along with another. I had a couple bottles shipped to me which was convenient. Prices are also good for great quality spirits and for the tasting as well. Enjoy!

Copperworks is awesome. We did the tour and we learned so many things. The price of the tour was $20 included 4 tastes. Time wise it took more than an hour but seriously flew by. I would definitely recommend it.

After visiting the Copperworks flagship distillery in Seattle, we decided to invest in the company as they are expanding to include the newly opened Kenmore location and add to their Seattle location. Award winning whiskies with great service by enthusiastic people. With event spaces as well as tours of the distillery in Seattle, Copperworks is setting themselves up to be a destination location. If in the area, be sure to stop in and enjoy some great cocktails and tastings.

We visited the distillery for a tour and tasting. The staff greeted us as we entered with water and pointed us in the direction for the tour. The tour guides gave a fun and educational tour of the distillery and what makes Cooperworks different from the rest. We finished with a tasting in the comfortable tasting room and bought a bottle to enjoy at home. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding & highly unique place that everyone visiting Seattle should experience. I knew zero about distilling before my visit, but I left with a profound appreciation for the science & artistry that's involved in creating whiskey, vodka, & gin. The distilling area is bright & shiny (all that copper!) behind the tasting room's glass, or visitors can take a tour. The tasting room is warm woods & decor... very Pacific Coast NW vibe. The location is on Alaskan Way at University St, so super close to a Link Rail stop & the piers. The staff is supremely knowledgeable & clearly love the work that they do. The tastings are very reasonably priced & the product is delicious. I tried the gin flight bc I've never been a big whiskey fan, & I left very satisfied after trying 4 flavor profiles. they also sell "stuff" - tasting glasses, tshirts/hoodies/hats, etc. Bonus: Being an out-of-towner, they shipped an order to my house (yeah for not needing to risk breakage during my travels). Highly recommend.

We spotted this distillery as we were walking passed on our way between the Aquarium and the harbor tour we were scheduled to take. Quickly we all agreed to pop in when we were done our tour. A gorgeous tasting room overlooking the stills used for production and we opted for a couple of flights. The plum gin was my favorite by far and John thoroughly enjoyed several of their whiskeys. Our guide explained each spirit and how the company as a whole gives back, not only to their local community- but also for communities in need and had a new spirit launching in a couple of days that each sale would benefit those devastated by Hurricane Ian. Seeing how we were across the country and they were literally supporting our home state made even easier to support this small business. AND- we were able to ship for free our bottles home! Hey- heeeeyyyy. I already had a bunch of bottles to carefully stow in my checked luggage, it was nice to ship direct and not fuss. And buying more than one bottle gave us a discount on top of the free shipping, so it was a no brainer. I highly recommend stopping in to sample their wonderful spirits! Definitely check out the plum gin!

Amazing tour! The manager is extremely knowledgeable, well spoken, and engaging. He was also able to answer most questions which was impressive. I appreciate the process that makes alcohol more now. Highly recommended!

After leaving the art museum nearby i was just walking with no destination in mind and saw the signs for Copperworks and knew it was my next stop. Like everywhere else i stopped in everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I opted to try a flight of Vodka, Rum and Whisky and they have a cask finished Rum that i still havent stopped thinking about. I only brought a carry on bag so i wasnt able to purchase a bottle on the spot but luckily i can order online and have it shipped to me! Their free shipping threshold is kind of high so id have to do multiple bottles of spirits but since when is that a bad thing?

We took the distillery tour and they did an amazing job with both the technical explanation and the tasting. Such an interesting experience and incredible range of gins and whiskeys. Loved it.

I love this new Kenmore venue for Copperworks. I attended their pre-opening investors night. Very accessible, open and inviting. The staff are extremely friendly and provide education of the various products and beverages. The food trucks were excellent and I hear there are future plans to incorporate a restaurant under roof. The venue is perfect for live music when that opportunity presents itself.

If you are on the waterfront or near Pike Place definitely go here. The tasting was an outstanding experience, the owners were fantastic and if you are from out of state they ship! The plum gin was amazing and even if you are not a gin fan I recommend you try it, my companions were not gin fans at all and they really liked the plum gin. Overall it was a fantastic.

I popped into Copperworks before walking the piers around the great Seattle wheel. It's right across from Miner's Landing (food and shops), so it's a nice location. I got there maybe 30-60 minutes before close on a Thursday. I remember reading someone's review that said they loved to welcome you there, so I was kind of looking forward to that ngl. There wasn't really a warm welcome, but a straight to the point man (not always a bad thing lol) that did offer up some good suggestions and explain that one of their bottles donated to Hurricane Ian reliefs for each one sold. So that was neat! Too bad I live in Utah so I couldn't ship any and I only had a carryon for the weekend. There was only one other person in there, sipping their spirits and enjoying a book. I will say I loved the playlist they had on inside, albeit more of a quiet environment. I did see a couple of event planners setting up for a private event that was to happen after close, so it was about to get more lively. I knew I wanted to do a build your own flight that included the plum gin, which turned out to be my favorite, if not tied for second with the small batch Northwest cask aged gin! It was a nice place to sit, sip, and enjoy while planning out next steps to the day/weekend. And the hand built copper stills were cool to look at. I think if ever in town again I'd go back on a Friday or Saturday for a tour, and good to know they're open seven days a week for tastings and purchases.

Stopped in on a whim for a tasting. They have a tasting for $10. It is a good deal with a sample shot of their vodka, two gins, and a whisky; all of which are produced on site. It is literally taking four shots back to back though. Not being a big drinker, the shots went straight to my head. The bartender was describing each liquor but he was also serving other patrons so we felt like we had to finish the tasting quickly. The gin was my favorite, the juniper flavor bursts through. Their vodka is smooth. They also offer a tasting for their different whiskys. Not being a huge whisky fan, I opted for the $10 tasting. It is a small distillery, I love that most about the space.

Very convenient location to Pike Place, and Pier 55. On-site parking is extremely limited, if non-existent, but with my purchase they provided validation for Pike Place Parking where I'd unknowingly but fortuitously parked, not too far away. I did a 'tasting flight' first, then because I bought some of their most excellent gin and whisky they credited the cost of the tasting flight towards my purchase. My purchase also qualified me for free shipping (two bottles and a t-shirt; not a large purchase by any stretch), which came in very handy as we were traveling light and did not have 'check in' luggage. The stellar customer service only continued to get better & better when I expressed concern that I was still going to be in town for several more days and would not be home to take receipt of my purchase. This "problem" was easily resolved by their staff making a note to not send out my package until I was heading home. And if you're worried about shipping, don't be, as they also did an outstanding job of safely packing my bottles (see picture). Great tasting alcohol, and fantastic customer service. It doesn't get any better than this.

I work for a local company where we serve Copperworks Gin, and after tasting it, I began to tell customers that "Copperworks Gin is the gin that got me into gin at all." And it's so very true. I absolutely love the flavor of their small batch gin, and I decided to do a tasting after an early shift one day and decided to splurge on their absolutely divine Plum Gin. I'm not much of a whisky drinker, but my coworker (who is) said that their whisky was amazing as well and highly recommends it to people who ask him more about Copperworks. They're an awesome local business that definitely deserves checking out!

Been meaning to go since I moved to Seattle and took my sister's visit as an opportunity! Maybe THE most informative EtOH-related tour I've ever been on and their products are amazing! I'm not a Gin fan and we left with a bottle of their Cask Finished Gin (and Release 041) :)

I booked this tour for my good friend because she loves whiskey and was visiting from California. Our tour guide & Co-owner, Jeff was awesome! He is super down to earth and explained everything that they chose to do differently than other distillery's and which traditions they chose to follow. After we toured where everything is made, Jeff took us around to the back to all sit in a large circle where we could taste their products while asking him questions. It was so fun and I am so happy to have visited their business. I wish them all the luck in the future and will be back again!
