COR

"Its look is somewhere between a Mediterranean restaurant and a tapas bar, with some counter dining and shelves bursting with cookery books and wine but, more importantly, it’s imbued with an air of contagious positivity and is a perfect fit for this buzzy neighbourhood. Dishes like hake with mussels or Tropea onion with hazelnut beurre noisette really hit the spot – and the charcuterie and cheeses are also good." - Michelin Inspector

I had heard lots of good things about COR, and it didn't disappoint! The food was mouth-watering and flavoursome! If I could have eaten more I would have! Our waitress was attentive and extremely helpful with making recommendations for my partner's dietary needs for food that didn't contain rennin (mainly cheeses). They were able to supplement this for the most part. The atmosphere was lovely and chilled. Whilst only a small restaurant, we didn't feel cramped at all. It was nicely finished and a very pleasant experience. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to others. Has to be one of my new favourite restaurants in Bristol!

What can I say… been back on an almost monthly basis since we moved into the area and never been let down. The team is amazing and always super welcoming and attentive throughout and stands at the basis of one of the most wonderful dining experiences in Bristol. We love sitting at the bar so we can watch cocktails being made - that’s the cherry on the cake! Food is beautiful and has a surprising twist to it; the last time we visited we thought the cannellini beans were ok… we were convinced to try them again last night and really liked the new version! Black garlic butter, sweet shallots & Gorgonzola (my forever favourite) and the iberico ham is some of the dishes we can never stay away from for too long. Banging cocktails & potatoes!! Looking forwards to our next visit already (and we don’t normally keep on going back to the same places!). Thank you team!

Went to COR last night with my girlfriend for her birthday, and it was absolutely perfect. It’s a restaurant that we’ve been meaning to try for a while, as it’s been raved about by every foodie in Bristol - and somehow, COR manages to not only live up to the overwhelming amount of hype surrounding it, but it actually exceeds it, too. The food was unbelievable - every dish was so perfectly constructed, and the flavour and quality of everything is up there with some of the best food I’ve ever had. Totally wonderful drinks (the non-alcoholic aperitifs I had were delicious, and my girlfriend loved the blood orange and clemoncello spritz) and the staff were so attentive and knowledgable - you’re made to feel so welcome in there, the service is absolutely wonderful. I simply can’t recommend it enough - what an outstanding place.

This dining experience at COR was a fantastic journey, blending clever and talented food combinations with a strong connection to the staff. Each team member has their own unique character, and their passion for food and customer service shines through in everything they do. My friend and I were absolutely inspired by our first visit to COR. The decor is clean, neat, and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, creating a cozy, well-organized, and comfortable space. Seeing the chef at the end of the room made us feel more connected to the staff. The sourdough bread was fine, but the rest of the dishes were outstanding. The coppa stagionata was amazing—so smooth thanks to the abundance of fat, and the pickles on the side were a lovely bonus. The Mozzarella di Buffalo salad was the highlight for me. The ingredients were superb, and the combination was thrilling. The peach was perfectly ripe and flavorful, the fennel was delightfully crunchy, and the creamed onion on top added both flavor and texture. Highly recommended! The anchovy dish had a tangy base and was full of pistachios, and the Iberian pork presa was superb, served with incredibly juicy tomatoes. For dessert, the Fior di Latte was unique and delicious—a pure milk gelato topped with fennel, sea salt, and olive oil. Truly exciting! The staff were all friendly, helpful, and energetic, adding to the overall fantastic experience. Everyone was so nice, making the visit even more memorable.

We celebrated a birthday at COR, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The place is small and cozy, with a glazed shopfront letting in plenty of natural light. The open kitchen adds a nice touch, making you feel closer to the food. The service staff was not only attentive but genuinely wonderful. The seasonal menu at COR allows each main ingredient to take the spotlight, with well-crafted sauces and complementary elements bringing the dishes together. A standout hero for me was the saucier, truly the MVP in orchestrating flavors. Surprisingly, as a meat lover, I found the vegetable dishes to be absolute stars, incredibly tasty. The crispy Jerusalem artichoke was a highlight that left a lasting impression. With such a fantastic first experience, I am eager to return and explore more dishes on the menu. COR has definitely earned a spot on my list for future visits.

I have been wanting to go here for a while and visited for lunch on a Saturday. We had booked, and it was non-stop busy for the entire time we were there. This did not impact service or time waiting for food. The staff were super informed, friendly, helpful, and attentive. I can't recommend the black garlic butter enough. I wanted to take a batch home with me. Will definitely go back to sample more of the menu. Highly recommended. Excellent food with a chilled ambience

Such a great place through and through! Great service from Amy! The food was delightful, one of the best we had for a while! Definitely worth going out of your way to have some delicious small plates. Artichokes and scallops were our favourite but everything else was delicious and presented beautifully!

Great place! The food is amazing, seasonal and very well thought out. The portion sizes are very generous and you leave very satisfied. Prices are very similar to other places in Bristol, but I think you get more bargain for your buck here. Really really recommend the Onion dish and Cannellini beans!! Staff are amazing and very knowledgeable, very attentive also. Will absolutely return when I have the chance!
