I dined at Cora on a quiet Tuesday night. It seems they will soon be closing on Mondays and Tuesdays, which might explain why the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived. Despite the lack of crowd, we had a pleasant dining experience overall.
We started with their hot dog, which had fantastic toppings that elevated the dish. However, the bread fell a bit below my expectations—it could have been fresher or more flavorful. The tuna dish was a standout, with a unique and delightful combination of passionfruit and peppers that really hit the mark. It’s a dish I’d recommend for anyone looking for something special and different.
We also ordered the big salad, which was a pleasant surprise. The flavors were quite different from what I’ve had at other restaurants. It was incredibly fresh, and the herbs combined beautifully with the sauce, making it very refreshing and enjoyable.
In addition, we tried their bread, which paired well with the rest of our meal. The pasta was another highlight for me; it was packed with strong garlic flavor, which I love, though it leaned a bit on the salty side. The pasta itself had a wonderfully chewy texture, though it was not quite al dente. I personally enjoyed the texture and overall flavor profile.
The atmosphere was admittedly quite empty, but the vibe was decent, and it didn’t detract too much from our experience. Service was okay—not particularly memorable, but nothing to complain about either. I do hope they expand their menu to offer more food options in the future.
Overall, Cora has some great dishes and unique flavors that make it worth a visit, especially if they can refine a few elements and broaden their menu. I’d definitely consider returning to see how they evolve.
