4 New Restaurants Bring the Soulful Flavors of Dominican Republic to LA - Eater LA

"For chef Adderlin “Chicho” Rosario of El Coro Café, the challenge of making this food in LA has been finding staple ingredients like Dominican salami and longaniza. Rosario developed a passion for cooking at age 10, and was encouraged by his family to make it a profession." - Bill Esparza

I spent brunch with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. It was quite busy and servers were running around but we were served in a timely manner the same. The drinks were served first and then our appetizer came. Then our actual food came after 10-15 minutes. Our server was kind and helpful.

I Love Food Coma

Google
The Service: Our server, Blanca, is absolutely an angel!! Her smile & personality totally make our day! She is very attentive, what a sweetheart! Thank you for the excellent customer service!! The Food: Love their BLT! The bacon are super super crispy! They give tons of french fries. The portion never change even during the pandemic. Their salad is served in a huge bowl!! Huge portion! Fresh ingredients! The Parking: Private parking lot & street parking

Google
How can they have so many menu items, fresh every day. It's magic, and they do it.

I’ve been going to the Coral Cafe for about 20 years, and I’ve never been disappointed in the food, service, or price. This time it was lunch. When I arrived the first thing I noticed was the large crowd. Apparently I’m not the only person that enjoys eating there. A lengthy menu ranges across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This isn’t a restaurant with 3 Michelin stars, but neither are the prices. Just good food, prepared well, with attentive service, and no attitude.

Google
You don't expect a place with a book-thick menu to have amazing food. However, I have ordered something completely different from Coral Cafe every time I've visited, and everything I've ordered has been incredibly good. The chicken tomatillo soup was so good I was giggling. I love going here. It brings a smile to my face.

Google
I love these older breakfast places, but this wasn't good. Our waiter was nice, but the food wasn't very good. The French toast, blah.. dry, and the topping for the cinnamon apple tasted canned and really lacked flavor over all. Bacon and sausage were average. And the Philly cheese steak was disgusting! No flavor, just meat that looked microwaved and cheese.. the curly fries were ok. However, we ended up sending it back, and they removed it from our bill. They apologized, again, very nice staff. We did not order anything else, just shared the rest of my food, and the coffee wasn't very good as well.. There is plenty of parking, though.

Came in to escape the heat and have a cool beverage. Ended up getting Gazpacho and it was DELICIOUS! No wait on a Saturday at 2pm. Plenty of parking. Kind servers. Will be coming back for sure for other food! :)

My parents love coming here when they visit. We love it too. Portions are huge, food is excellent and lots of choices and they’re all great. Service is always wonderful. Restaurant is clean and well taken care of.

Yelp
I'm 41 years old and I felt young walking into this place. At 8pm on a Friday night, I was definitely surprised to see such an elderly crowd. Lol, no worries. I had a veggie burger - it was solid. Not the best I've ever had but tasty nonetheless. I do have an appreciation for veggie burgers that are actually made of veggies rather than the overly processed Impossible/Beyond meat alternatives. I would order it again. Ambience was not exactly my fave. Between the old folks coughing and the babies crying, I can't really see myself jumping at the bits to come back. But, I WILL come back. Someday.

Yelp
Thursday afternoon Cheeseburger really quiet during the afternoon hours and service a little slow. Food was enjoyable but pretty standard of a diner. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a easy chill spot to grab a quick bite. Photo of cheeseburger included.

Yelp
Great service and great food! Really a great local spot. Love the breakfast! And chicken tortilla soup is my fav.

Yelp
Classic family Americano diner with a pie display showcase of decadent desserts. My husband, daughter and I moved to Burbank last year and can be considered "regulars". It is a gem of a place. The walls are adorned with classic Hollywood posters of famous actors and directors. The menu offers many dishes including desserts and beer and wine for the adults. The owners are always working with the staff and just has good nostalgic vibes. Classic to its core!!

Yelp
"Over the reef" for this Burbank, Los Angeles, California treat. A classic cafe diner with rustic meets vintage charm... Coral Cafe feels like a place you'd have a meal with friend and/or neighbors... as well as family. A neighborhood eatery where all are welcome as it's very much Open To All. Formerly 24hrs, but still very much 7 days a week you can enjoy a huge variety of food, desserts, beverages and ambiance. The inside has some cool hanging art/images, history and historic icons... A little minimal otherwise feels like it could use some more touches of modern... Possible with some warmer colors, fixtures and easy decor to match the warmth they provide to their patrons. You're in good hands with any server here, but if you're lucky enough to get Luigi, who went above and beyond with service during a visit recently... Then you're in luck. Enjoy beer, wine, juice, teas, soft drinks, milks, coffees, "nades," hibiscus/frescas and even smoothies for refreshment!! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Late Night... You've got your pick of so so much to choose from(French Toasts, Crepes, Pancakes, Omelettes, Combos, Specials, the morning stuff is endless)... kid friendly menu too! Appetizers are abundant... Soups and Salads for days... Hot sandwiches, Deli sandwiches, Burgers which by definition are sandwiches... Wraps... Pizza... Hot Dogs... Mexican... C.C. has you covered! A little surprised they don't offer a little more Greek inspired items on the menu given the history with the late John Leousis and his amazing success story with this place a co-owner since 1990. Decades of amazingness! They do have some lavish Greek Salads including classic, pasta style, and country style... A Mediterranean wrap and hearty veggies... I think falafel would be a hit as well... Though they do have some heavy vegetarian friendly and even vegan friendly menu items. Easy to customize, add-on or modify food as they aim to please. The veggie fajitas, veggie burger and wraps (hold the swiss for me) are my comforts here I'd recommend. I would definitely go wild for a veggie chili, dog and/or a veggie version of their seasonal California Burrito. The dinner salad (large or small) is another favorite and pretty filling. Big portions for all for sure, if not most dishes! You can enjoy seating in a few different rooms/areas in a booth, table or at the front bar/counter around the TV there if available (first come, first serve). They have a patio in back, not to mention covered tables and chairs in the front, alongside sidewalk (Burbank Blvd). Easy parking lot that can fill fast, but is actually spacious, not to mention street parking available. Love seeing this place lit up at night with it's gorgeous neon sign, but this hidden treasure also has a radiance during the day. I appreciate you Coral Cafe :)

Yelp
I went to Coral Cafe today. First time in a long time. Service was horrible. We sat down. Waitress asked what we wanted to drink and my niece wanted Rasberry Ice tea and I said I wasn't sure yet and she said "okay, water" and she walked away. She was very rude. It seemed like everyone in that place was rude today even the customers that were already seated were giving us the evil eye as we walked by like as if we didn't belong. Maybe the heat? I don't know but all I know is the atmosphere was so uncomfortable and the staff was so snooty and rude that we decided to just get up and walk out. Ever since I saw the post awhile back about the wind blowing the umbrella and a table blowing over onto a senior lady and no coral staff helping or apologizing, I thought I did not want to ever go back there again. I thought that was awful. But, today my niece and I decided to just go check it out. Man, what a mistake that was. Good-bye Coral Cafe, I am never going back there again!

Yelp
Dog Friendly, patio seating! My niece and I arrived on a Monday a.m after her swim practice, she was in the mood for a breakfast bacon and egg sando. I ordered the tuna melt. Our server Kim was fast and efficient, her sando came out first I forgot to mention she only needed the protein but it came with lettuce and tomatoes which I probably would've enjoyed. She was so hungry she grabs the fries and went to town! She really enjoyed her sando and fries, my tuna melt could've been better but I've been here so many times, I would let this slide. I've been visiting coral café since I was 18, I worked and live nearby, this was our go to drunk spot at 2-3am! #latenighteats

Yelp
It's... a diner. The food wasn't anything special, and the night my friend and I went the service was really quite bad. But it's huge, it's reasonably priced, and it's easy to park... so... you could do worse. Kind of seems like that type of place that people love when they're hammered at 1am, but the other times of the day... it's... okay.

Yelp
Coral Cafe is a greasy spoon diner located in Burbank that offers the ambiance of a wannabe Hollywood hipster hangout a la the Vince Vaughn/Swinger's era without actually trying to do so. The fact is this place hasn't changed since it opened and that suits it's clientele just fine. You can just feel it when walking in with the wood paneling on the counter and the leather booths coated with years of grease. The food here...well, with a menu of 385 items, the food is acceptable if you know what you're ordering. There's traditional American favorites like burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese and their big salad. When I say "big" salad, it literally can feed two people. However, if you decide to be adventurous you might run into some issues. The spaghetti and meatballs with the meat sauce is passable, but Chef Boyardee probably tastes better. The beer brats on a pretzel bun is essentially a bratwurst on bread with mustard on it. A lot of the more adventurous items lack proper seasoning and finesse, but I digress. You come here for the traditional items. The greasy spoon breakfast is great and not anywhere near healthy. The burgers are okay, if only they season the meat and the desserts are decadent. The service here can be hit or miss. When it's busy, there might be times where you'll need to track someone down to get a refill or do it yourself and tables don't turn over as quickly as they should. Otherwise, this is a perfect spot for those who had a long night out needing something to soak up that alcohol. Unfortunately, they are no longer opened 24 hours, but it still serves its purpose.

Yelp
It's probably been 20 years since I've been here, and it's EXACTLY the same place. The food is good (3 stars), the service was great (5 stars), and it's a very good value. It's an old-school diner and is a solid choice.

Yelp
I haven't had this bad of service in a long time I had to ask the bus boy for a glass of water & a menu People were seated behind me and ordered before me I had to tell the waitress who acted as if I was invisible that I was ready to order Never returning regardless of a late night craving
google avatar

Yelp
Maybe we came in on an off day. But the service was absolutely horrible. Our server Lupe was better off strung hour that day. Food took forever and was mediocre.
google avatar

Marisela C.

Yelp
We had an unsatisfying experience at this Burbank restaurant. The chili spaghetti contained beans, which seemed out of place. Our son's carnitas were served with spoiled pico de gallo, confirmed by multiple servings. Our grandson's meat lovers omelette lacked sufficient meat to justify its name. The tacos required seasoning. Our server failed to meet expectations during our visit. Despite requesting water refills for our party of six, she did not deliver on this basic requirement until we flagged her down repeatedly. Additionally, without informing us or obtaining consent, she included almost $20 gratuity charge with our bill due to the number of guests served. As one who values leaving fair tips, I find a difficult to do so when service quality is subpar at best. Although there were issues throughout our meal, the tipping decision should still remain optional rather than imposed unilaterally especially after such poor performance from staff members like that particular day.

Yelp
Coral Café, a family style restaurant, with a pedestrian interior similar to a Denny's. Extensive menu is based mostly on American generic favorites such as sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salads, omelettes, pancakes with a good dose of Mexican.  I saw their Winter Holiday menu insert and the Smoked Duck Breast for $19.99 with all the fixIngs caught my eye. This will never be found on a menu at Denny's. 1) Onion Rings: Fine Panko Japanese bread crumb coating adds a nice crunchiness. Onions inside are sweet, touch caramelized. Bland Ranch Dressing on the side, but you can pep it up with Tabasco or Tapatio. Thick sweet-sour Heinz ketchup works too.   2) Chicken Tortilla Soup: Nice little cup of chicken broth tinged w/ tomato sauce thickened w/ a bit of corn starch, garnished w/ grated cheddar & strips of fried corn tortilla.  A few splashes of Tapatio chile sauce awakened the soup with gastrique and piquancy. Choice of many soups or salad with various dressings are offered.  3) Smoked Duck Breast: Meat is tinted a light dusky rose. Skin on breast is seared for more texture and grilled color, but was overdone making the duck meat a bit dry & tough. I did like the fatty, skin with a slightly rubbery chaw. Overall flavour was like a pleasant ham w/ alluring sweet smoke. If only the duck weren't so overcooked. Sweet stewed Cranberries under the duck. Many options for starches, but I chose the baked potato w/ whipped butter & sour cream.  The steamed veggies were the standard cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, zucchini all a bit over cooked. Side of bland frozen corn.  4) Coconut Cream Pie: Looked as though it was bought at Walmart. Dry crust crumbles into flavourless dust. The whipped cream topping tastes artificial. The coconut custard needs more condensed milk for a good dairy finish.   1-4a) Iced Tea as it is found everywhere.  Service is acceptable, accommodating enough. Old time American diner where food is more for fuel than gustatory delight. I came to Coral since it was a meetup event chosen by the facilitator. Would I come on my own?  No.  3 stars

Yelp
First time here, it feels like a mom and pop place , Big diner and outdoor seating as well. Food was very delicious and good service by the waiter. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Lunch date while the missus does some quick VA work next door. Chose the Irish Latte from their St Patrick's Day special menu, along with the Breakfast Power Sandwich and the missus chose the Chicken and Waffles. Nice little cafe. Warm feeling, comfortable and cozy. Decently priced too. Friendly service staff.

Tyler R.

Yelp
Service: 0 stars Food: 4 stars The food was great when we finally received it. Our waitress was horrible. She never introduced herself. Barely took our drink order. It took almost 30 mins to receive club soda and a mimosa. 45 mins to place an order. I had to get up ask for my waitress just to get any service after waiting on our drink order. The food was great but I'll never come back due to the service alone. She helped everyone else but my friend and I. She just brought the bill and slammed it on the table while we were eating and never asked if we wanted dessert or anything else with our meal. I almost missed my flight due to the slow service. Highly disappointed.

Yelp
Uncompromising quality in their ingredients. When I want that fresh, homemade flavor, I come here. Best comfort food in Burbank. Among so many other things...don't forget to try the garlic bread--special order it "double-sided" and they'll do it and it's A-MAZE-ING. Come and bring friends, because it's super friendly and a very conversation-friendly environment. Oh, and since my last review, I'm now pretty much a three-night-a-week customer. It's the consistent higher standards that have seen my business grow.

Lashell A.

Yelp
Great pancakes. The breakfast was amazing. Also I had a mimosa and some champagne. Good prices for large portions.

Yelp
Wife orders Sirloin special with split pea soup. I order Chili Spaghetti, no onions, with side salad. I get the salad, she gets the soup. She gets her steak, I get nothing. Our waiter doesnt come back to check in so I flag down another waiter who gets our waiter. I ask about my meal and get a blank stare followed by flipping through his order pad. Then asks if I want meat sauce or marinara. I remind him it comes with chili so that's not an option. My wife is finished and mine shows up with what I would estimate a double order of raw onions on top of the chili with melted cheese. I tell him to forget it because there's no way to remove the raw onions or melted cheddar cheese without having to redo the entire dish. And Im not waiting around for that. I will note that the menu doesnt say it comes with onions (or melted cheese so beware if you are lactose intolerant), so I shouldnt have had to ask for no onions (or cheese.) But I did because literally every other chili dish they have states they come with onions (and melted cheese). Remember this is on top of the fact he forgot the meal in the first place and my wife is already finished by the time mine showed up. No apology, no manager engagement. I end up in the Jack in the Box drive thru. Normally I dont leave bad reviews but when a situation isnt proactively address by management, I lose faith in the operation. Sorry, I hear the chili is good but I'll never find out. And is wasnt busy for a Saturday night. Message to management - either serve what the menu says or change the menu description.

Yelp
This restaurant is a family favorite, at least a bi-monthly visit; today had the Cheeseburger Salad (never heard of it!!!) FAN-EFFING-TASTIC!!! So flavorful and filling and I shared it with wifey because of the huge portion. Will definitely try again next time! Also a celebrity encounter!!!!

Yelp
The family and I stopped by here around a month ago, I took a photo of my meal and meant to leave a review sooner, but haven't had the chance to. First off, We lucked out with restaurant parking. I always worry about parking when planning to try out new food places. We walked in to a kind server up front who then led us to a table in the back dining room, Which was pretty empty at about 3-4 pm on a Sunday. I was expecting the dining room to be a bit fuller based off all the great reviews I read (prior to our visit), but also appreciated the vacant/quiet feeling this afternoon gave. I felt the interior of the restaurant had a bit of an old diner/ancient feel. The tables/chairs look almost antique and not comfortable, as well as the booths, "not having been renovated in years" look. After taking minutes to look over their Hefty Menu, (definitely no shortage in food options here!) We ordered a breakfast burrito, cheeseburger with fries, and an open faced steak sandwich type dish (which I actually enjoyed!) I've never had one like it before. I can say with confidence the cooks in the kitchen really know what they're doing. My steak was juicy and full of flavor and went well paired with Sweet Potato Fries. (The sweet potato fries are amazing here, btw.) I will surely be returning to try them again. I like that they offer iced coffee, don't expect it to be anything special, but at least they have it as an option :) The servers were okay, nice, and attentive enough. I noticed the employees here are a mixed bag when it comes to cultures/ethnicities which tells me everyone is welcome here! As they should be. I'm sure we went on a more quiet day, and plan to visit again to see what it's like on a busier day/evening.

Yelp
Breakfast is wonderful to have. Daily special is great. Holiday menu is always great to explore and change things up. And their home made pies and sweet goods are wonderful. Staff are moving and always refill your coffee. Certain staff. Overall great running in spot.

Yelp
Service was good vibes were good but the food was amazing I never finish my food but I inhaled my food gave me a food coma definitely coming back
google avatar

Maggie E.

Yelp
The food was okay, but it's really the service that makes this place so lovely! Our server was very nice and attentive, including topping off our coffee regularly! I had the vegetarian omelette, which was good, but a lot of Swiss cheese sitting on top, which didn't taste like much. I thought the omelette and hash browns could've used some salt or seasoning. Anyway, fun diner vibes.

Yelp
Great service great food wish they had vegan options But I was able to eat something basic waitress was amazing Marcel

Yelp
The food is very good but the staff are wonderful! I love that they are open 24/7 and I can get food delivered too. It has a coffee shop ambiance, always decorated for whatever holiday is coming!! Very comfortable and homey

Yelp
I was trip on Burbank last weekend. And i visited in here cafe. My server is so BAD service. I told her can i have a Water? three times. But she did't answer to me. Next time i never visit in here cafe.

Yelp
I didn't feel like cooking today so I decided to treat myself to some breakfast. After looking at a few different local areas I ended up going back to Coral Cafe; they have a large selection and great prices. As always staff was kind and helpful. I ordered the Breakfast Combo Supreme that comes with 3 Eggs, 2 Links, 2 Strips of Bacon & Half slice of Ham. Served with Hash Browns, Toast & 2 Pancakes for only $18.95. I substituted the half slice ham for avocado and made myself avocado toast haha Very satisfying as I had the best of both worlds, something savory and something sweet.

Yelp
Tasty food and great service, perfect combo. Pretty busy for Sunday night , will definitely return.

Yelp
11.4.2023 I don't get here often but I like the food, today it was fried clams, not easy to find anymore, well done, not greasy at all and the French onion soup was great . The wife had the chili, it was nice, not oil / grease and plenty of freshly chopped onions -but- it was incredibly over salted to the point where we had to lave it almost untouched . Good service and they have ultra clean bathrooms . Angle parking on the South side of the building and two deep parking behind, might be best to park curbside . The owner was there and very polite . Lots of old movie stills and posters on the walls . Give them a try . -Nate

Steve M.

Yelp
This amazing icon like so many others is now overall inconsistent for delivery. Anything fried is disgusting!! Especially for late nights they refuse to change the oil!! They have gotten more expensive which is to be expected but the quality has not kept up......Now more often than not the order is wrong :(
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
No complaints here! Service was great, very attentive and nice. Food was standard cafe breakfast (delicious). The atmosphere was quaint and cute but it was a larger place so they can accommodate a lot of people! All in all great breakfast and would go back.

Sandra L.

Yelp
I guess morning times customer service is awful at this place, this old lady practically wanted me to do her job, asked me to put the menus correctly and besides that when order I had to tell her so many times how to order our order practically we did it for her,
google avatar

Paul R.

Yelp
This is an old-school cafe with a humongous menu. I'm sure there are regulars who have been coming here for years. We arrived for a mid-morning breakfast and were just amazed at the options. Don't be fooled that this is a greasy spoon diner pumping out bacon and eggs with mounds of potatoes. The menu is interesting, especially for lunch/dinner. Check out some of the other reviews regarding their specials. Our breakfast was OK. My wife's breakfast was lukewarm and my nephew's biscuits and gravy were Meh. My omelet was excellent as were my breakfast potatoes. I would definitely return for a lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Great find Sit at the counter! I had the Cobb for breakfast and it was fresh and chunky. Side of tortillas and jalapeños fried and tacos! Time to go catch some waves. The waiter was attentive and the rest of the staff was warm and welcoming. I will be back Thank you

Adam M.

Yelp
This is a go to spot! Family owned and operated. The hostess, Trinity did a wonderful job accommodating our group. We will be back for the food and the outstanding service. Thank you Coral!

Yelp
Good food service was fine. Loved the chicken tortilla soup also tried the Ortega burger and fries which were really good. Lots of parking

Yelp
I have had very delicious food at this place and if I have any problems they have always taken care of any issues. I love the pancakes and pot roast and sandwiches. I keep coming back. This place is open 24 hours to enjoy some comfort food. I tried the Irish stew but it was too salty for me, but everything else is fantastic!

Yelp
The Service: Our server, Blanca, is absolutely an angel!! Her smile & personality totally make our day! She is very attentive, what a sweetheart! Thank you for the excellent customer service!! The Food: Love their BLT! The bacon are super super crispy! They give tons of french fries. The portion never change even during the pandemic. Their salad is served in a huge bowl!! Huge portion! Fresh ingredients! The Parking: Private parking lot & street parking

Yelp
I love Coral, I really do, I've gone for years, I've brought out of towners here for a hearty meal before heading out, spent many 3ams there pre Covid with my haunt family after work, but the last few times I've ordered a cheese omelette with veggies (that I paid the additional charge for), I always note the kind of cheese and how I prefer it made (some spots like Coral, cook veggies and such into the eggs pre cooking, and I personally like an actual filled omelette), not too much of an ask and honestly as long as the cheese isn't cooked into the eggs pre hitting the pan? I'm fine. But for whatever reason the last four times I've ordered for take out, there's been no cheese and/or missing vegetables. The veggies I don't bother because I've got enough at home to toss in on my own (but the $2.50 extra for them to not get them, hurts), but FORGETTING THE CHEESE ON A CHEESE OMELETTE!? Come on Coral, I really don't want you to hold this against you but no cheese on a cheese omelette multiple times is just becoming a gear grinder for sure. Not sure if I'll give another chance after it happening again tonight, for now, probably not. Stars are for the options, there's something for everyone and the food is just good diner food, home cooked not chain restaurant type good diner food.

Yelp
Coral Café has been here in our wonderful city of Burbank forever one of the greatest things about them is that they are open 24 hours with good food not like some of those other places and you can go and sit down and have like a home-cooked meal what I love the most it has never changed in decades!!! Their tortilla soup it is the best they do not skimp even when you get it to go lots of chicken lots of juice lots of cheese lots of tortillas lots of vegetables it is the best chicken tortilla soup ever. Always fresh. Chicken soup good for the soul. and if you get the craving at 3 o'clock in the morning they have a fresh pot there for you to eat in or take out. Yummm Thanks Coral Café !!!

Yelp
I really don't even know where to start on this... My partner and I have come here for years. The food had been good, along with the service. Saturday the wait time was long, but ok, they were busy. They opened up the back room for more seating. But instead of 1 server, they gave each server one table. Causing an issue with service. We waited about 10 minutes after being seated to get a drink order in. Another 15 to get our food order in. The couple who had been sat just before us, was done eating before we even got our food. The food arrived. Mine was warm, my partner's food was ice cold. Eggs and steak should not be cold... He tried it and said that the eggs were not even cooked. He told the waitress and she asked if he "wanted the food warmed up." No... how do you warm up steak and eggs? A microwave? We didn't want the food back on the same flat top... He had cut into it. He said no, but had already tried a few bites to see if he could eat any of it. An hour later he began with an upset stomach. Within a few hours he had cold sweats and stomach cramping. It is one thing to have cold food... but it was off putting to say the least to have it "warmed up". Then he got food poisoning. We won't be coming back.

Terry M.

Yelp
Coral is my default cafe when it comes to just can't decide. Plentiful portions of food! Friendly staff. Extensive menu. Too, it has its own delivery service at a minimal fee much less than DoorDash, etc. We've been going here for more than 30 years. Oh, and awesome dessert options, too.

Cindy M.

Yelp
Call Café is dependable fresh really good. Breakfast luncheon dinner good service the food is comfort comfort food great for breakfast. Very busy OK Price Is fresh coffee. I ordered the eggs Benedict. I think it's amazing. My partner orders open face turkey sandwich and he loves it. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I love places like this. It was exactly what I wanted after picking my SO up after an early morning flight at Burbank airport. I knew he'd be hungry and want some "real", filling food. This 100% fits the bill. It's got that comfy, old-school diner feel, complete with a desserts/pie case. The menu is so large (and laminated!) that I only took pictures of the first few pages of "fall" specials. There were several things I wanted to try, and will definitely come back and get to next time. This time, I went with eggs scrambled with spinach and feta, served with hash browns and toast. Predictable, but what I wanted. My SO had his usual French toast with a side of breakfast meats. And we shared an order of biscuits, which were actually very nice. Coffee was good, hot and refilled very regularly. Service was fast and friendly. There was parking in the back. What more could you ask for? This is the breakfast place I'm always looking for but so rarely find. Now I know. It's been here all along.
