"Ramon Velazquez opened Corazón Comedor in late 2022 after receiving Michelin Bib Gourmand honors for Corazón Cocina located inside the Santa Barbara Public Market. At Comedor, Velazquez prepares stunning traditional Mexican dishes, including tacos, a perfectly pounded and breaded milanesa, enchiladas, tamales, and a hearty, puffy quesadilla." - Mona Holmes

I went to have dinner here to celebrate a graduation. We had a reservation for later but they took us early. The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. We started with some guacamole and their complimentary chips that were accompanied by a flight of assorted delicious salsas. Our entrees were all very delicious and were served promptly. The staff really topped off the evening by being friendly and helpful. The next time I am in Santa Barbara I will be returning to dine here again.

Google
Would highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic Mexican food. Finding a place that can make good chilaquiles is always hard to find, but this place knows what they’re doing! Flavors are spot on. The music is great. The salsa is actually spicy. Very friendly service, asking if we had an allergies that needed to be known before serving. Will come again!

Google
Delicious meal - top notch mexican food. authentic, careful presentation, and thoughtful portions. The waitstaff is cheerful and prompt. The atmosphere is quiet, breezy, and pleasingly simple. With entrees you receive a salsa flight - jalapeño salsa, avocado poblano salsa, serrano chili oil with pine nuts, and habanero crema. A small chips is also complementary. The tacos are a bit pricy, but the food is well worth it. I got the guacamole to start (enough for 2-3 people) then the cabbage salad, and a large pozole. The large pozole is quite large, enough for 2 people almost. The cabbage salad is refreshing, hydrating, and a tad spicy. If you do an appetizer or 2, go with a smaller order size for sure. To go is available. Will definitely go again next time i’m in town.

Google
This wonderful spot is my favorite Mexican restaurant in S.B. Everything here tastes delicious, is perfectly seasoned and has clean and fresh flavors. The service and ambiance are great as well. If you’re dining in, your meal will start with complementary chips covered in beans, mole and some crumbled cheese, accompanied by 4 different salsas to use on them and your meal. The ceviche and flautas are excellent starters, and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Google
High end Mexican restaurant. Very good. They open up early so that’s the reason we chose this place. So glad we did. They start you off with a small plate of chips dipped in mole and beans. With the chips comes an array of salsas, some I’ve never tried before. Very unique. The food looked like a masterpiece. It was so tasteful. We chose this place because it advertised pozole. Just a note that they don’t serve pozole until lunch. Highly recommend!

Google
Modern twist on Mexican food with fancy presentations, finger licking authentic food and great friendly service by the staff. This is a family owned restaurant which opened within the last year. We were a party of 7 and Brandon took excellent care of us (including advising us for dishes with nuts as one of us had allergies). We ordered a mix of vegetarian and other dishes and all of them looked and tasted great! The drinks can probably get a little better (bit more alcohol) and ordering at the table definitely would be a great help! Definitely coming again soon.

Food was excellent! Coffee was delicious! The Manager Ray took care of us and he was very attentive. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband, son and I went in on a Tuesday. We usually do the taco Tuesday thing but we thought let's do something different! And so glad we did! It was incredibly delicious! Look at the pics. It tastes just as good as it looks! Or better Our waiter was warm, helpful with the menu choices, and attentive.

Yelp
Great spot up in Santa Barbara, I have been numerous times and I often recommend it to friends and family. My number one order is always the Flautas Sautarios (short rib flautas) and I'll usually get some guacamole and rice or beans to go with them. They are so flavorful and tender on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside, you really can't go wrong! If you have a sweet tooth I would also recommend finishing your meal with the Strawberry Tres Leches or the Dulce de Leche Flan, which I took with me to-go on this occasion. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out of the kitchen at a great pace whether you're dining in or placing an order to go. The interior is airy with high ceilings and well lit, with nice big windows. There is plenty of seating inside with two different rooms to accommodate plenty of diners, and a small bar as well. There aren't currently any outdoor seating options, and parking options can be tricky, but I wouldn't let that deter you from giving this restaurant a try!

Yelp
If you're looking for a modernized take on classic Mexican dishes then this is your place. We ordered the Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros, the chilaquiles were just fine. If you're interested in two tostadas passed off as huevos rancheros for $22 then be my guest. They unfortunately didn't have the Cafe de la Olla available at the time of visit. The server seemed mildly annoyed, I'm not sure if it was directed towards us or if it was just one of those days for them. Overall hip, trendy, overpriced and inauthentic.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast at around noon on Sunday with a group of 6. I really wanted to like this place and it has a lot of potential, the breakfast just didn't cut it. Started with the mocha latte which was one of the best coffee drinks I ever had. I ordered the breakfast burrito and I would not recommend it. There was way too much cheese and the meat did not have too much flavor. It also barely had any sauce to balance out the burrito. Also service was incredibly slow and we went most of the meal without any water. I even tried to get up to fill the water myself but I was not allowed to. Dinner may be better cause the mole was delicious but just would not recommend for breakfast.

Yelp
Corazon Comedor is another great restaurant chef Ramon has blessed us with. Nevermind the fact that he won the Michelin Bib Gourmand award! All the more reason to come here. If you're looking for a restaurant that is spacious, inviting and family friendly; then come here. They also offer takeout and online ordering. It tends to be busier on the weekends, so just be aware of that. On my recent visit, I tried the pozole. It was perfectly made and full of delicious flavors. Also served with all the toppings that go along with this comforting soup. I love pozole and this one did not disappoint! The small size was more than enough and I even had leftovers to take home. I also ordered the Mercadito de Champinones aka fried mushroom quesadilla. It was cheesy good. Also, The guac was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Well worth the splurge! My son tried the enchiladas todos santos; which is stuffed with poached shrimp, cheese and topped with a creamy poblano sauce. He thoroughly enjoyed. I've also tried their special of the day. A chile relleno Birria burrito, which was mind blowing delicious! I hope they bring this back. Overall, anything chef Ramon creates is going to be successful. I've been a long time supporter since the pop-up days and I will continue to support whenever I can.

Yelp
The chicken quesadilla was so good and our server was amazing. 10/10 customer service but also the food was really good. The chips and salsa was great and the vibes were even better. I wish I got our servers name so I could shout him out but we dined on April 30th around 7-8pm if that helps. We also tried the flan and it was delicious. We will be back just for the chicken quesadilla it was THAT good.

Yelp
The best Mexican breakfast I have had in years!!! The arranchera was tender and every single aspect of the dish served its purpose and delivered a great culinary experience. I also loved the ambiance of Corazon Comedor, the Mexican decor and textiles were truly beautiful and made me feel like I'd been transported to México. I highly recommend!

Yelp
This was my friend's and my first time here. We had heard good things and made a reservation for 6:15 on a rainy Tuesday. The place was full and we were seated promptly. The servers were very friendly and checked on us often. The food was impeccable and I highly recommend. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Yelp
An Instagram-worthy brunch spot in downtown Santa Barbara, though I thought the food lacked where the ambience of the restaurant itself impresses. For brunch, I had the matahambre plate with a café de olla. While the coffee was true to itself, the food left much to be desired. I felt the chilaquiles just missed the mark from taking them over-the-top. The meat and potatoes, though, were a perfect compliment and salvaged what remained of the dish. Despite the mixed feelings towards the food, I'd still recommend for anyone looking for great service and picture-worthy food and ambience.

Yelp
I wish I could give Corazon Comedor a better review but I just can't. I was part of a group of 10 for a bachelorette weekend and the server seemed annoyed with us from the get go. Our entrees also took a very long time to arrive. I was starving and basically inhaled my tacos which we're good, but not the best I've had. But, the cocktails were excellent and the ambiance and decor very cool. This would be a good spot for date night, just wouldn't recommend for a big group based on our experience.

Maya S.

Yelp
Super cute place for brunch!! Everything was delicious and the staff was really nice and helpful! I definitely recommend coming here whether you're a local or just visiting!
google avatar

Yelp
Service seemed a little slow. Maybe because the following. They picked up all our plates after the appetizer and then we had to hold our silverware unless we wanted to put it directly on the table until our food came out - over 10 mins. And we had to ask for more water as well. Overall the food was pretty average. It was fun to get the free chips and 4 different sauces to try. The large soup was really big. But overall, the food was not too special for the price. Make reservations in advance.

Yelp
If you want to level up your Mexican food craving then this is the place to be. High quality and home inspired recipes. This is the place to check out! Our server Ray was outstanding! He suggested the dishes we had for dinner! Thank you Ray!

Yelp
EVERYTHING was AMAZZZZING!! The food had amazing flavor! The variety of salsas from spicy to mild was great! Service, was attentive without feeling rushed. The music playing in the background took me down memory lane; with memories of my dad. Xóchitl had amazing recommendations as a 1st timer/ out of towner! The cafe de olla; delicious!! The best I've EVER had!! Regreso pronto!!! :)

Yelp
Nice spot for brunch. Must try the Queso Fundido with chicharron. Delicious. The tortillas de harina were also good. A must try. The service was good as well.

Yelp
It's the last day of our bachelorette trip & this was the perfect ending to a very well deserved weekend getaway. The food was phenomenal!!! From their cafe de olla to the fresh squeezed orange juice! I had the chilaquiles and everything bout it was so good. So much flavor with everything bite. My girls had pozole & they were super pleased with the portions. Our service CC was super kind, attentive, & detailed oriented. The ambiance is super cozy & amazing. It feels like walking into your grandma's house.

Yelp
We came on a late Saturday afternoon and were seated immediately. We ordered the Flautas de papa, Tamales de Mama (chicken verde and pork mole), a chicken Milanese torta, and a horchata. The food is made with love, care, and attention and delicious. The horchata was refreshing with a subtle balance of almond flavor. The house special appetizer is a bowl of freshly fried tortilla chips topped with mole, refried beans, and queso fresco; it's such a tasty treat! The salsa flight ranges from mild to habanero: when combined with the food, all the salsas are tolerable, but alone pack a lot of flavor and spice. The kitchen is semi-opened, depending on where you sit. The high ceilings and decor open the space, and is paired with ample seating.
google avatar

Armando G.

Yelp
This place is as authentic as it gets. If you want genuine Mexican cuisine, I invite you to visit this place! I will definitely be coming back. The chicharron is top tier. The sauces are impeccable. I will try the cochinita pibil next time (they didn't have any more during my visit, which is an amazing sign!) Service was excellent and I ordered to-go. The ambiance was beautiful and cozy. I will dine-in next time, stay tuned!

Yelp
This modern Mexican restaurant features "Home Inspired Mexican Cuisine," and when you walk in to their comfy dining spaces you are greeted by their friendly staff, and a neon sign saying "Hechos con Amor." Along with the delicious aromas and the cozy dining area, you can tell that Head Chef/Owner Ramon Velasquez and his staff have put a lot of love into Corazon Comedor. After reviewing their Breakfast Menu on-line, I knew it going to be a tough decision as what to eat first. Our server Madel took very good care of us, and was helpful in describing the assorted dishes. She started us off with some savory Totopos (chips, mole, frijoles de rancho, queso fresco) and an assortment of delicious salsas. Then we dove in to the Matahambre (bistek con papas, chilaquiles verdes, fried eggs, frijoles de rancho, crema, queso fresco, y cilantro) and the Machaca (shredded short rib, eggs with salsa bandera, chilaquiles al gusto, y frijoles de rancho). Very excited to go back to try their Mexican Sandwiches, Quesadillas, Platos Fuertes, y Tacos. So much more to enjoy. Located on Victoria Street between State and Anacapa, and right in-between Wise Guys Barber shop and Ca'Dario.

Yelp
Dropped in for dinner on Saturday night! Made reservations to be sure to get in as space is limited at this restaurant. There are bar seats at the kitchen if tables are not open. The restaurant also has a separate room for parties. The environment is pretty causal. As for the food, the taste was spot on from beginning to end. We choose the guacamole for our appetizer . The guacamole was market price. First for me to see guacamole at market price. Guacamole was fresh but nothing special. We would skip next time. We then had chicken mole enchiladas and tamales. The tamale entree consist of two tamales. They had three different types on the menu. I got the chicken and pork tamales. The tamales were very moist. The sauce was very good on them as well. The enchiladas with mole was also good. For sides we got beans and cabbage salad. Cabbage salad was very good. As a complimentary gesture the restaurant provides chips with mole and beans prior to dinner. For drinks we got margaritas. We order the traditional and hibiscus margarita. Both were good and real in taste. No fake mix here! We really enjoyed our meal and will be back another time.'

Yelp
Honestly, it's sad to see when good restaurants take a downfall when it comes to food we love. I've always liked coming here but unfortunately it's not the same. Our food took almost an hour to get to us and it was COLD, when I told the waiter he said "it just came out". And since when have we had to pay EXTRA for chips!? This is a Mexican restaurant! It's like charging for bread at an Italian restaurant!
google avatar

Dietmar F.

Yelp
Excellent family owned home made with fresh ingredients Mexican food. No heat lamps or pre made warm uppers here, just tasty gourmet Mexican cuisine at a very fair price. Must try!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for breakfast before visiting the art museum and they didn't disappoint. The food here was phenomenal! I'm not big fan of mole but oh my their mole is delicious! The chips and hot sauces made this whole meal. Plenty of street parking. Service was good when I went. This spot is a gem.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a very long time now. For some reason, all this time, the menu wasn't clear to me. The prices per entree and the serving size as seen on the photos didn't really match. Regardless, I decided to step in and order takeout. I'm so glad I did. I asked one of the workers for a few of the most popular mains, and they gave me three really good options. I opted for the chicken milanesa. The food was ready in a decent time, about 15 minutes. Before I left the restaurant with my bag, I asked for some salsa, and they graciously provided that. When I got home and opened the container, I was very impressed. The presentation was beautiful and coloforul. The food smelled great and looked appetizing. The chicken was very good and breaded perfectly. The pickled toppings really cut through any grease of the chicken, and it mixed well together. The salsas also paired well with this meal. Every bite of this meal was happiness. There was only a tiny piece that was still pink inside but I set that aside and continued on my journey of flavors. I have already recommended this restart to my friends. The only drawback is the price of the meal being a bit steep for chicken milanesa. Steak milanesa, maybe. The food is prepared deliciously with incredible flavor and color, so it's hard to deny the value.

Yelp
Wow! Just WOW! Another hit restaurant brought to you by the Corazon chain. We tried this on a busy Saturday night. We couldn't get reservations to fit our timeframe but we were able to join their waitlist online before arrival which made sure we got a table for 3 with a very short wait time. The food was delicious! We wanted to share a few things so we got the guacamole, flautas de pollo, and 'Pa Probar with 4 guisados. The guacamole was good but we enjoyed the totopos with beans, mole, and queso much better. Great salsa options too. The beans, I honestly could eat an entire bowl of them. I would go back just for them. They're incredible! The flautas were delicious. And for the guisados, we chose the rajas, carne desherbada, bistek con papas, and pollo con poblano. The rajas and 2 beef options were standouts. We wouldn't get the pollo con poblano again and instead try a different option. It was good but not as memorable as the other 3. Did I mention they come with handmade tortillas? So so good! And in lieu of dessert, we grabbed a cafe de olla and Oaxacan mocha to go. Both were great. The location is small but very cute and nice decorations. Staff was great! Very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is easily accessible with nearby parking on the street or a structure (75min free parking!). Please do yourself a favor and go try this great new addition.

Yelp
Visited Corazón Comedor during Santa Barbara Independent's Burrito Week . They had a breakfast burrito it was delicious. I was blown away by the friendly service, attention to detail, and presentation. I can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu. The restaurant is located downtown towards the Arlington , quiet location and walking distance from many hotels or parking . The restaurant itself has modern decor and California /Mexican cuisine but at the same time it feels like a home in Latin America. I love it

Yelp
Hostess went above and beyond to find us a table when the entire restaurant was booked by reservation. That's love. The taste was authentic Mexican and very flavorful. Excellent variety of salsas. Service was amicable and prompt. It's evident the staff goes above and beyond on the details of their food and flavors. Ambienace was relaxing, upbeat and complimentary to state st. Bill came out to about 100$ for four dishes. I brought my two toddlers and they were welcomed and properly attended to. The restroom was clean. I would recommend this business to family and friends. And will surely plan to return I recommend you make reservations.

Yelp
Went Saturday and came back Sunday. Very delicious food. Saturday's service was great. Ordered the Cafe de Olla and received it in a large round coffee cup. Now get to Sunday, ordered the Cafe de Olla and got it in a small cup. I think the waitress was being lazy and felt like ripping us off. On Sunday service was terrible. The staff was on their cell phones on register and barely came to our table. Water was empty and never refilled. It's sad to think staff gave me a different perspective from Previous day. Tips are based by service so it showed. But most importantly affects everyone and business

Yelp
We LOVE Cozazon Comedor. Service is great. Food is fantastic. My daugthers split the Market Quesadilla (from the adult menu). I love the guisos (different kinds of meats with tortillas and beans so you can make little tacos) and the steak tampiquena. They also make nice drinks and coffees.
google avatar

Josh J.

Yelp
Disappointed on the service and food today. Charging for extra chips? Man, I know inflation is up, but geez what a joke! Skip this place.

Yelp
Wow. I love having international breakfasts. Today I deviated from my norm and had a Mexican breakfast and I feel so lucky to have had my first experience at Corazon Comedor. You can tell they care for the quality of ingredients, because while everything was "simple" the depth of flavors was present. The guacamole was delicious and fresh, and the breakfast tacos where so satiating. Their chips had the perfect saltiness and their molé made me so content. It reminded me how much I enjoyed it and I'm sure I'll be craving it through out the week. Their salsas are all memorable, and the Chilesquiles (I'm not sure I'm spelling that right) was something I've never tried before but was so happy I did. You can tell by the quality and friendliness of service, the attention to detail in the sitting areas, and how amazing the food tasted that this restaurant is a marvel. Something I always pay attention to is the tableware. It was beautiful, the food was amazing and served in art as well Finally! A touch I appreciated is their extensive coffee menu and the quality of their drip coffee. It is an easy thing to disregard but when you put effort into it, it goes such a long way. Whenever I'm back in Santa Barbra I'll be sure to enjoy their delicious coffee and immaculate breakfast again.

Jamie B.

Yelp
I never leave reviews but I was so disappointed with this place, food is meh it's "fancy" mexican food but not real grandma cooking. Service was horrible, was sitting for 20 minutes waiting for a box and server never came to check on us. I'd go anywhere else but here
google avatar

Deirdre M.

Yelp
It was easy to enjoy our first visit to this restaurant. It was not crowded so we got a table for 3 immediately. Very willing to explain any item on their menu. I had the three choices for my soft tacos. It was very good and lived the choices in the salsas. The guacamole was fresh and chips were home made. We will go again. Parked in public parking garage a half block away which was easy and think it was $4.00 so didn't have to worry about time restraints on street parking.
google avatar

Joe B.

Yelp
Exceptional Sunday breakfast this morning. The dishes were beautiful and delicious. They waitress who was smooth and polite offered us coffee and cappuccinos before and after our meal, which was a nice touch. I ended up leaving with one of their delicious horchatas for later. I'm sure to be back soon, definitely one of the best Mexican breakfast restaurants in Santa Barbara.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Cucina Corazon is probably my favorite restaurant in all of Santa Barbara. So I had to try of course their new restaurant down the street. It delivered everything I was hoping the flavors of everything was amazing. We started with some sopacitos and queso fundido. They also gave some complementary chips with Molé on it and a complement of awesome salsas. I had the combination for tacos and tried four different meats, which were amazing. My favorite was probably the chicken Molay followed by the shrimp. My buddy got the tamales and said they were awesome too. So happy they opened up this restaurant. It is absolutely solid, and a great addition to Santa Barbara.
google avatar

Jackie L.

Yelp
All of their food is amazing! The service is wonderful. The ambience is very home-like. We ALWAYS making a stop (or 3) when we drive down from Northern California. Definitely try their French toast, chilaquiles, milanese, and coffee!
google avatar

Derek R.

Yelp
Came here with some friends while visiting Santa Barbara and we were all so glad we did. My wife and mother in law are Mexican so I know real homemade Mexican food. Due to this most places are usually just ok. This place however is amazing. Everything from the staff to the food surpasses expectations. You can taste the freshness and quality ingredients in everything. This is some of the best Mexican food we have had. Highly recommend and we will be back whenever in town.

Alex M.

Yelp
(Overall: 82% | B) - Overall, I found the food to bit a bit on the pricey side with room for improvement, but there is a high bar of service and a comfy atmosphere which makes the restaurant quite pleasant to dine in. (Chicharron: 70% | C) - Given the name, I expected some crispy pork rinds to elevate the texture of this dish. Unfortunately, it seemed like everything was soft, making me question if I even received the correct dish. Despite this question, I found the flavors to be nice and work together, and the onions add nice color and contrast to the rest of the taco. (Polla Con Poblano En Crema: 80% | B) - This is a classic pairing of chicken, rice, and guac. The chicken was tender and the guac added some contrastive acidity. However, for $5.50 a taco, I felt like the dish is missing some sort of elevated wow factor, especially along the textural dimension.

Yelp
Best Mexican Food In Sanat Barbara. This is authentic Mexico City, Mexican food. The posole was warm and comforting.

Yelp
Went here for an early dinner on Saturday! We made a reservation for 4:30pm which is when the restaurant opens .. by the time we got "any attention from anyone " it was 5 PM .. that part was a bit frustrating.. but once we placed our orders and had something to drink our moods shifted and let me tell you ... the Food is simply amazing!!! Starting with the complimentary chips and 4 types of salsa ( so good) .. we had the "flautas Santuario" for starter .. and next time I will order a double order and have them for dinner ..they are just "that good" !!! My husband had the 4 tacos and he said each one was flavorful and simply delicious!! I had the Milanese and it too was just amazing !! Ray ( our waiter ) was very kind and took time to explain the menu to us . Please do yourself a favor and eat here !!

Yelp
Found a great Mexican restaurant in Corazon Comedor!!! The other night some friends and I went for dinner and everything tasted amazing and authentic. We started off by getting a side order of guacamole to share. It was some of the freshest and flavorful tasting guacamole I had ever had! I definitely recommend the Cochinita Pibil taco! The slow cooked pork is moist and full of flavor! I also would go back for the tamales. Another specialty of the restaurant. The Puerco en Mole de Olla was amazing as well. Overall, the restaurant is a perfect place to get homemade tasting Mexican food with a friendly staff who will make sure everything is perfect!

Yelp
A great addition to the Corazon restaurant family. This location had only been opened for a month, so we were glad to be in town. Their reputation had people waiting in a long lines, but it moved quickly. The place was packed, but they were well organized and we got a table immediately. Although you order your food at the counter, it operates more like a full-service sit-down restaurant with teamwork table service. They offer a free totopo appetizer that includes chips, beans and mole sauce. It was delicious and we paid for a second order it was so good as well as their fresh guacamole and chips. We also ordered several of their cocktails, which were also tasty. For dinner we got a bunch of items to share. They're famous for their tacos so we ordered two of the 4 taco plates. You get to choose any 4 tacos so we picked 8 different ones to get a bite of each. Additionally, we ordered the mole enchiladas and a pork tamale. Everything was delicious and we look forward to eating here again on our next Santa Barbara trip.

Yelp
Delicious! The food was prepared fresh and made with so much love! I live in LA and I can not find incredible, authentic Mexican food and it's SO disappointing. Everything is more or less "TexMex" or white washed. Or the food is just blah, or bland. I'm also Mexican and figured, well, I guess I won't be able to have delicious Mexican food unless I'm in Mexico! *grunt* Anyway, this place revitalized my faith in Mexican food in America. Everything was made with fresh, authentic ingredients. The mole, the carnes, the chiles, the tortillas, the rice the beans, etc. I was impressed by everything. My date is from Jalisco and he loved the food too. Amazing work!! Thank you for keeping authentic Mexican food in its integrity and pride.

Yelp
This was our second visit, and it is still going strong. We live a few blocks away, so we're happy to have such a wonderful place to walk to. The menu is totally different than Corazon Cucina at Public Market, but...similar are the fresh ingredients and the visual appeal of each dish. I find the menu a little difficult to completely understand. That said, everything is great so I don't study it too hard and just order. We ended the meal with Champurrado, Mexican hot chocolate. It was amazing and I would go back just for that! Apparently, in a couple weeks, they will be adding Saturday and Sunday breakfast/brunch. The crew working here are all very nice and welcoming and professional. Nice attention to details.

Yelp
Located in downtown Santa Barbara on Victoria St & Anacapa St. If you're lucky, you can find 75 minute parking right in front. What an adorable Hispanic owned & operated restaurant. Pretty cozy & felt like I was in an Authentic Mexican restaurant with all the fun decor & Spanish music playing. As soon as you enter, most likely there is a line. There are some menus just to your right as you walk in. For Breakfast/Brunch, You order food & drinks at the counter, pay, & seat yourself... We totally didn't do that Bec it was our 1st time here. We grabbed some menus & picked a table to sit at, while we gawked at the menu.. A couple gals went up to us & mentioned that we are supposed order at the front. We let them know we were still deciding on what to order. We were offered water in the meantime... After ordering at the counter, they give you a number & you take it to your table. Remember that's for Breakfast Brunch... *Reserve Online for Dinner Reservations, if you plan to dine-in for dinner. We waited a bit for our chips & salsa. One of the waitresses asked us if we got ours yet, she quickly brought it out & explained the different salsas & to be careful with the Habanero one. Loved the cute salsa sampler & those chips with the mole & frijoles were soo addicting. I did like the Habanero salsa. You have to try all four of the salsas! I didn't want to eat too much chips Bec I ordered Chilaquiles. I got the Chilaquiles Divorciado. Which basically has both the red sauce & green sauce. I don't remember them asking me how I wanted my eggs while I was ordering. I do like my eggs runny. I'm not usually super picky about my eggs, but I felt like the eggs could have been cooked a bit more. I did like my plate, the beans were yummy, it's just that my chips became super soggy from the generous red sauce & made the texture a bit too soft for my liking... If I came back I would try it again, maybe try it with the mole next time & I'll definitely ask for some over easy eggs lol... My friend devoured her Berries French Toast. It did look good! Overall, we had great service, especially for a Saturday morning. As we were leaving, the line was forming. I'd come back again if I'm in downtown SB... Oh & FYI they take reservations for dinner only.

Yelp
Delicious place for tacos, salads. I got a refreshing quinoa and watermelon salad with radishes which was really great! The dressing was a bit too sweet though. Since it's located at the public market it's not a fancy sit down place but they have public tables indoor and outdoor. Next time I will order their tacos to see how they are. Worth visiting!
